We have always had positive experiences with this post offfice! Employees have always been super friendly and go above and beyond for their customers. Doris and Dee are the best!! I often go out of my way to drop off here and appreciate all they do!

This place has no accountability and is completely unprofessional. I was at home all morning from 8-12 when it said my package would be dropped off (with signature verification). I stayed right next to the door all morning only to check the apartment mailbox at 12:30 to see a “sorry we missed you slip”. I called and asked what the deal was and when I could get my package and got the response “well you probably just didn’t hear them knock so you can pick it up tomorrow.” This isn’t our first incident with the same mail delivery person as they also routinely stuff custom images and prints that we order into a mailbox that is half the size of the package instead of walking 50 yards to our door. Expect no help from the staff at this location and avoid doing business with them whenever possible, I would rather ship an item through UPS or FedEx and that’s saying something.

Im a business owner. I dont have a lot of time to waste, and this post office is amazing with my packages and when I need to send something through customs. Theyre fast, courteous, and know how to treat the customer.

Always have issues w/scheduled packages being picked up. And obviously it hard to deliver as well. Had a pkg due today & mail already ran. Phone just rings busy. Not happy at all.

I drive 30 minutes to this particular office even though Im 2 minutes from another one. Scott is always efficient and knowledgeable. I know that when I come to this branch, everything will be taken care of correctly.

I had a package that I made a mistake with address recently and it was stuck in another state. I got all the help I needed from the first employee I asked and he was able to find it and call to check up on the package. I use this post office even if it’s a longer drive because of the atmosphere of the office and can’t thank them enough for the help. Thanks for the extra work in this matter much appreciated.

The post office man is very rude, seems he doesn’t like his job and is so cold when he speaks to customers! He didn’t smile at all. I was scared of him to be honest! I went there on Wednesday, 08/11/2021 at 2:20.

This is a great Post Office. There are never long lines and the wait there is always very short. The customer service is Van tastic you can tell the people working there enjoy their job and aim to please.They are always polite and willing to answer any question you may have. Its not the biggest Post Office in Ohio but what it lacks in size they make up for in service.

I use to go to another post office but I happened to come by one day after work and I haven’t gone to the other since, the staff is just so friendly!!!

Complete b.s. dont get mail untit 7 pm. when i do get and they blame it on covid .wont even return your call when they say completely unprofessional

The employees are very nice especially Doris. Very helpful.

Very friendly staff willing to help find the right product or part. They will test your battery, change wiper blades and light bulbs. Not too crowded.

Amazing staff!!! Extremely polite, I use the post office quite a bit and travel to a lot of others throughout the Miami Valley and honestly Fairborn is my by far my favorite.

Changing my review because the last few times Ive been here have been just fine. Scott is wonderful and my packages begin tracking just fine. Whatever was the issue last year seems to be better now. :)

Service is spotty at best. Ive had great mail carriers and ones that literally arent interested in doing their jobs, skipping delivery of packages due to laziness. They dont care. I get mail a few days a week if Im lucky. People inside thr post office mostly nice.

This is an awesome office. The clerks are very knowledgeable. The carriers care about their jobs. The postmaster and supervisors work hard to make an awesome place. This is a Post Office for anybody to come to and do business or learn about products or services.

Basically like every other post office in the country. Smells the same, takes about the same amount of time, one really nice clerks, the rest act like they are doing you a favor. Try to go in the morning, its usually less busy.

This is absolutely the worst post office Ive ever dealt with. We live in an apartment in Fairborn and there have been many times where our mailbox door has been left open and our mail was laying all over the floor. Our mailbox door consists of a main drop door with slots for each apartment number and our mailman, who is apparently 4 french fries short of a happy meal, didnt even bother locking the main lock after they put the mail in the slots. And because of their ignorance, I lost a $40 order from Amazon, when it shouldve been dropped off at my front door.

The folks that work at the Fairborn Post Office are super friendly, very knowledgeable and will go out of their way to explain other options if you are not sure how to send something. Especially Scott!! He is the very best and is always smiling!!

I have always used Fairborn Post Office for many different services. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I went to Beavercreek Post Office once because I was in the area and needed to get a package out. Worst mistake ever!! They were rude and hateful. I will never stray again!! Fairborn Post Office is the best!!

I guess the Mask Up Rules Dont apply to all the postal employees in the Fairborn post office!. Every Customer has a mask on, but an employee there HAD NO MASK!. And when I tried to get his name to report him I WAS DENIED!! DO YOU THINK THE RULES DONT APPLY TO POSTAL EMPLOYEES!!?? DO THE EMPLOYEES THINK THIS IS A JOKE??. This a wonderful branch Ive never had an issue with getting my mail and there always considerate when I need to stop in passport stamps etc. I highly recommend this branch

Helpful kind staff. Beautiful classic building. Good long counter hours. Easy self service external lobby to weigh packages or buy stamps with credit card. Our postal carrier is so nice, reliable, watchful and friendly. The post office is a treasure!

This post office has terrible mail delivery service. I see the postman put in a missed package letter, while I was home, without even trying to deliver it to me. I was sitting at my front room window and see a red SUV pull up to the mailbox. The lady in the car writes something on a paper, puts it in our mailbox and drives off. I immediately go out and check that it was a package missed notice. She put that in without even attempting the delivery. Moreover, if they cannot pull up right to our mailbox to deposit the mail they just dont deliver it. This post office need to hire some more competent delivery drivers.

Always something with this place. Used automated service after hours because of my schedule. Attempted to open automatic drop off chute only for it to be locked. Wasted a trip and now I have to come back.

By Far this is the BEST post office I’ve ever been to. I don’t even live in Fairborn but I drive further so that I can receive the excellent customer service that’s provided by the folks that work there. I’ve lived a lot of places and had to frequent the post office to mail things to family and for work. Scott, the guy who manages the front counter is the most knowledgeable, friendly, and professional person. I’ve watched the clerks in that office and ALL customers are treated with an equal amount of dignity and respect. Most of the negative reviews I’ve seen have to do with delivery issues. How bout some positive reviews for the folks who take care of us while visiting the office.

On five separate occasions Ive had a package marked delivered that was not there. Sometimes someone in my complex would put it at my door a week or so later and other times I never got my package. Over a year ago a costly package was misdelivered and Ive still never seen it. I understand people make mistakes now and then but Ive come to expect it out of this location. If I had the option Id never let them handle my packages again. When I contacted them they didnt seem too concerned about the issue either.

My husband’s work has moved us 12 times and in the US I have had to deal with countless post offices. They’ve all been pretty bad or downright awful. Really awful. I think we have come to just tolerate this sad fact because if you try to call in a complaint about extremely long lines or mail carriers who refuse to do their job properly, you are put on hold in phone purgatory. I’m guessing that these bad reviews are reflecting some of that type of frustration, because it absolutely CAN NOT be because of the actual Fairborn Post Office! They have some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. I have an on-line business and several out of state family members. I frequent the Post several times a month. I’m always greeted, usually by name, and treated with respect. If I’ve messed up an address, need an extra bit of tape, or have a question, it’s no trouble. Wait times are very minimal or non-existent. Recently one of the veteran employees retired, and another had major surgery. Wait-times were a tick longer during this interval, but they managed to keep things going with the help of some temporary staff. I ran into these poor reviews while checking on hours of operation, and I was truly aghast. I’m loathe to share this info because it’s like sharing the number of a good babysitter or favorite B&B... you kinda want to keep it to yourself, but in all fairness they deserve the best review possible.

The lines are usually not very long, the P.O. box area is well-lighted, theres a drive by mail deposit box -- about what youd expect from a US Post Office in a small town commuter community. I knocked off a star because the postage vending machine has been out of service several times when I needed it.

Never get my packages. Always have to miss work or take off early because it is too hard to leave a package at your doorstep apparently. Always a hassle and Im never happy with them. Lady at desk is nice but thats the only positive I have to say. So if you are expecting I package and work a job plan to take a month vacation and hole up at your place never to leave waiting for it or plan to miss work to go down there since they close when any normal human being is working

This is hands down the worst post office I have ever dealt with. Only want your mail delivered only three days a week? This is the place for you. Oh and like other reviewers have mentioned they frequently mark deliveries as attempted when they dont actually deliver any mail. I even brought this up to the local Postmaster, she looked like she couldnt care less and said Yep, they do that sometimes...! Nearby Wright Patterson Air Force base has several excellent post offices, so I recommend anyone with base access use these instead. For those of you unfortunate enough to live in Fairborn, I fell your pain. .

I made an appointment to get my passport done and on the day I walk in for the appointment the person there said he called everyone and said all appointments were cancelled. He said I must have used the wrong phone number and email. I checked and I provided the correct information and I had no missed calls or an email.

Moved here a month ago, and nothing but problems from the Fairborn Post Office. Not delivering our packages, saying we don’t live at our address, but deliver the mail here. Causing packages to be returned, a package they said was returned over a week ago shows up the same day they say they can’t deliver another! One complaint filed, #2 on the way! Ridiculous.

No local number. Over an hour hold time. Fire all of these welfare leaches.

We always get others peoples mail all the time :/. When we ask them to hold the mail they still deliver pieces and leave things on my porch. The carriers lie and say people arent home to deliver packages. Im always home and still Ive had to go retrieve stuff :/. Watched a carrier drop a package in the middle of the road. The man turned around and looked and kept walking. I waited to see if the carrier would retrieve it. Nope. I dropped it off at the post office and explained. Didnt seem to phase them :/. Post office needs help and people who actually will do their job!

All these reviews confirm the PO has serious problems. Just relocated here and have experienced my package stolen and I was in at the time tracking status says it was delivered. Its fishy.

Got my passport quickly, so that’s a plus. But their phone number never works — sounds like it’s disconnected half the time. I was also hit on quite heavily by one of the employees (they found me on Facebook, even), and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I refuse to go back in person, now.

Not just this post office its usps in general but half the time im expecting a package they dont deliver cause to lazy to leave the truck they say notice left customer request to hold at post office THATS A LIE but i have no problems receiving other residences packages JUST LAZY WISH WE HAD MORE OPTIONS FOR REGULAR MAIL I TRY TO AVOID USPS AT ALL COST WHEN SHIPPING OR RECEIVING but cant always do that

I have been in the Fairborn Area since 1988 and have had nothing but Excellent Service from the Fairborn Post Office. The Staff always goes out of their way to help.

I guess no one answers the phone or keeps it off the hook there. Been trying to call here for a week now!

Lots of late deliveries and mis-delivered mail from the Fairborn Post Office. It didnt used to be like this, what changed? I think a letter or call to my Congressman might be in order here soon to find out what the problem is. They have the US Postal correct, but the Service stinks!

Jim at the Fairborn PO was the friendliest postal worker Ive talked to lately. We have a unique circumstance with forwarding and holding mail, and he was so very helpful and kind.

Okay so I pay for subscriptions by mail with limited time sales included. Ive always felt like my mail ran behind I never thought this far behind. I got my gameinformer today and I actually see a sale that Im really interested in just to find out it expired half way through September. Here it is October 1st. Needless to say Ive been receiving my mail a month late so I try to call and ask whats going on because I should deffinatly receive a subscription I pay for before the sale date but its constantly busy cant get ahold of anyone for the last half an hour. My mailman hardly ever comes here but yet I cant get ahold of anyone at the post office because the phones is consistently busy. This is a big problem for me. Theres no point in passing for the subscription if its just gonna be a month late because my citys postal service cant do their job.

Typically long lines and only one counter open. Incompetent people. I go online to request redelivery and they did not honor the request even not I got a redelivery confirmation number online.

3 adults home, mid afternoon on a Friday and I still had to wait until Monday to pick up a certified letter because the mail man was too lazy to knock on the door or ring the bell but they left that little slip saying they missed us and now I had to wait almost 3 days to pick up a letter. Lazy

This is the THIRD time since November that my package said delivered and it’s no where to be found. The worst postal service ever... not sure how hard it is to read the address on the package.

This office is horrible. Deliver the wrong mail to the wrong mailbox ALL the time. Then, when I moved, they delivered my PASSPORT to the wrong mailbox despite having a forwarding request in several weeks before. They gave me the run-around, and never would give me a straight answer or follow up. And they never answer their phones despite calling during business hours.

I was home and they said no one was here to retrieve the package. It’s a pretty bad place

Horrible you dont get your mail delivered to your home so I bought a P.O. box and big surprise still have problems!

Not happy AT ALL! They deserve a ZERO rating. They lost my new compliant drivers license. Triple-checked the address it was sent to and they returned it to sender not once but twice! I cant even get anyone to do anything about it. The Ohio State license bureau in Columbus will not cancel it and send me a new one. I have to wait until it is received back by them by checking their website daily. Someone really dropped the ball. Spoke with Doris who has done nothing to help. Each party is blaming the other. No one is taking responsibility. I was told I can go ahead and purchase a replacement but it would be my responsibility to pay for it. Go figure.AND ANOTHER THING.... I had a packaged supposedly delivered from Amazon on 09.30.2021 only to find out I never received it but whoever marked that it had been delivered.AND ON TOP OF THAT.... For the first 3 or 4 months I lived in this apartment I was receiving the previous residents mail even after physically going into the post office and speaking with a male worker and to DORIS and dropping said mail off and letting them know I was the only person now living at the address. I called/went in there at least 5-6 times for this issue and it finally stopped after a while. Sometimes I still get junk mail for other people but nothing marked first class. I just put it back in the package box thats in the big stack of mailboxes for the apartment complex. (They never collect it and the package compartment door never stays closed. Its broken) Some days no one delivers mail here at all and frequently we have a substitute carrier. I understand that our regular carrier needs time off sometimes and the whole COVID thing but something has to give. Many times theyll mark a package as delivered and then it doesnt actually show up in my mailbox until the next day or day after.
