This is the best barber shop! I walked in with 4 boys and no appointment 2 hours before closing. I had been turned away from 3 other shops before finding A&D and I didnt see them turn anyone that came in after us away either.My boys all have better haircuts than they ever got from chain barber shops and every cut I saw while waiting for our turn looked fantastic. Im very grateful to have found this place!

The place has an established barber shop atmosphere, clean and well kept. They have an electronic queuing system, it appears you can reserve a spot through an app, which is good since this place seems quite popular. Its open weekends unlike other barbershops.I didnt request a hot towel or massage but they surprised me with it; I didnt mind. The towel smelled like eucalyptus, quite refreshing after the cut. Good cut, nice fade, took their time with a straight razor and complimented my cute comb over. $20 with a military discount, it was a nice experience overall, good folks running the place, I would come here again.They didnt require masks during my visit in mid August, none of the staff were wearing them and they were quite busy, just FYI.

I struggle with finding a good barber especially for a clean and even cut. My go to is Alex who takes the time to do it right. I’ve also had great experiences with Russ and Eldar. I haven’t used the other professionals, but I’m sure it would be the same. This place is top notch!

Barbers are okay, but all have one or more weakness.My cuts have never been consistent across visits, even with the same barber. I even decided to show a picture of the back that I wanted this time around, comparison below. My sideburns were also cut far too short because the barber could not line them up equally the first two times. Thinking of making the extra drive to Huber Heights.

Best haircut Ive ever had.Ive always gone to great clips, or super cuts, or any chain, cheap barber shop.This was above and beyond what I had expected, and at a reasonable price.The place was very clean.The cut itself, by Tim, was expertly done, but he also took a razor to the edges and gave a shoulder massage with this hand-held machine.Cost $21, without tip.I see why the other reviews for this shop are so positive, it deserves the praise. I got a sense that the barbers working there actually care about their craft. Tim certainly did.

Awesome service. I had Alex, the owner, and he gave me the BEST haircut Ive ever had. Normally I just go to like Great Clips or similar places, but decided to venture outside of my comfort zone, and I am so glad I did. 10/10

First off I wanna say that I have been here multiple times and for the most part they have been generally good hair cuts even to the point were I would go out of my way to drive 45 mins over going to closer establishments. But this time I came in expecting to get the same hair cut I always get a mid fade and a half inch off the top. But when I started to get my hair cut she was cutting my hair way to short and was super careless about how she was cutting to the point were they cut me a few times on my scalp and cut my ear. Also after insisting not to thin my hair they go ahead and thin my hair wayyyyy down. And then after that they didn’t fade in the line and on the top there’s a weight line. Needless to say I was very disappointed this time and honestly I don’t think I’m gonna come back.

This place is awesome and reasonably priced. I’ve had 5 different barbers there and each one was excellent. Straight razor shave is great, and the quick massage shoulder with the handheld machine at the end is something I look forward to. I’ll never go to another place for haircuts in the Dayton area.

Ive been coming to this barbershop since they first opened a couple years ago. It is by far one of the best barber shops in town. Ive had haircuts from everyone there and they all do fantastic work (specially Alex and Dilya).Every visit is something to look forward to. From the hot towel, the straight razor, and the neck and shoulder massage; these folks provide a premium service!Not only do they do give great cuts, they are also extremely personable and take their time to make you look your best. Theyve also got military discounts too!They also take walk-ins but the can get quite busy so book your appointment ahead of time! I cant recommend this place enough!

Ive been to probably about 15 different barbershops and this is hands down the best I’ve ever been to. Most barbershops the attention to detail is not on point like it is here. Alex has cut my hair twice and I won’t go anywhere else now.

My husband and I have been taking our sons to great clips to get a quick haircut, last few trips resulted in revisits to correct. We decided to try somewhere else to see if we cab avoid an eye sore.Husband stumbled onto this location when he needed to get a quick cut before reporting to work Monday morning. Let me first say, his usual military cut looked even cleaner with these guys. The shave was soo dang smooth.We brought the boys and showed them what we wanted. Alex did a great job, was very thorough. I’ll never go anywhere else for a haircut again. Next time I will make an appointment. After 12 years of PCSing, they absolutely give the best skin fades and full barber services Ive experienced yet. I have been getting my hair cut here for almost 2 years now, and bring my 5 year old here too. The staff treats him like one of their own. The prices are great, haircuts even better, and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you live in the area and havent been here yet, you dont know what youre missing. As close to an old fashioned barber experience you can get.

Staff was nice to greet and take me as a walk-in. However, shortly after being taken and asked what I wanted (square sides, neck, and the sides being cut for a comb-over hairstyle) that gets tossed. The barber asked if I wanted a taper, I said no. He asked again, I said no. Did it anyway. Asked for about 1 inch of hair taken off the top and got uneven haircut all on the top. When I discussed at the end that I had not asked for a taper and uneven hair on the top and sides, he made a comment that the type of hairstyle I wanted was specific to my ethnicity. I was appalled to here such a thing, and, to avoid arguing, said I am going to pay and leave. When my fiancé commented on my haircut, the barber again remarked by saying my haircut pertains to my ethnicity and that had I shown him a picture it would have been better. I do not think so; had he listened to what I had said and not done what he insisted, I might have believed him. Hair grows back and I was not upset at him not understanding my directions; the comments about my ethnicity are what upset me. Please be more considerate, do not generalize and listen to what has been asked.

Best hair cuts I’ve ever had. I drive 30 minutes because no one can match the quality of the services at A&D. Make sure to ask for Alex! He has a superior attention to detail. My fiancé has noticed the difference when he cuts my hair without me telling her! For $19, you get an awesome haircut including straight razor edging, hot towel, and even a shoulder massage. You can’t beat it.

My husband has been going to this barber shop for about 6 months now and has had a great experience until this past weekend. He has an appointment but due to some car issues was late getting there so he went on the walk-in list, which was fine bc he knew the policy and was ok with it. The issue came when he got the hair cut. The lady was very rough with how she cut his hair and ended up cutting the back of his neck. He had a birthmark that sticks up, just below the shirt line. He said she tried to play it off like she didn’t cut him, but he felt her do it. She try to cover it with the back of his shirt and sent him out the door. When he got home he had blood on the collar of his shirt and red spots all over his head from her being rough. He doesn’t know that he wants to go back to this place again after that service.

I’ve been to Barber Shops in Dayton, Washington DC, Florida, and Colorado. This was by a long shot, the best barber shop I’ve ever been too. I would highly recommend Ryan. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.First, the cut was great. No weird fade, no messed up trim, no cutting of the back of my neck with the razor, and they didn’t waste time cutting my hair like other barber’s I’ve been too. I know it’s not the best picture and I’m not photogenic, but for me...this is honestly a great cut.Second, if you are going to bring a razor near my neck I prefer knowing the Barber Shop is sanitary in all aspects; A&D was immaculately clean. Hair was immediately cleaned up. I didn’t a single piece of hair on the apron they put over you. The equipment was clean. The towels were white and appeared new.Third, the atmosphere. I immediately felt comfortable. Everyone was relaxed. There wasn’t a rush. Ryan was very kind and engaged in great conversation while simultaneously not talking my ear off (I appreciate this a lot). It has a modern retro feel.Fourth, the “extras.” Two hot towels scented with eucalyptus oil. A massage. High quality hair products. An actual straight razor neck trim after the haircut. This is the extra stuff that makes a place special.Fifth, the cost. It was normal. I was expecting it to be A LOT higher. This place is a steal. Additionally, the military discount was really nice. Going in to see Alex and the staff for a haircut is one of my favorite parts of the month. First, the scheduling is very easy to do whether through the website or over the phone, and they also take walk-ins even though they are often quite busy. They not only do an incredible job at cutting your hair but also at truly taking care of you as a person. From the hot towels to the mini back massage at the end, you feel so valued. I couldnt be happier that I walked in to see Alex on that first day, and I will continue to come back and be taken care of by Alex and his team.

One of the best barbershop experiences Ive ever had. I was greeted immediately and queued up for a walk in. I was seen minutes later where I conveyed I was looking for a trim before an interview the next day. I received a fast but unrushed haircut including hot towels and a straight razor trim of my unruly sideburns. As a final touch, I got a 90 second shoulder massage, a firm handshake and a wish of good luck on the interview. The price was amazing and I left feeling like a million dollars. I will be back.

Great hair cut and beard trim

I went into today around 2:45pm as a walk in and was seen by the female stylist that was there she did an amazing job on my hair and I really appreciate her services. After paying for my hair cut I knew I only had enough in my bank account for the hair cut not for a tip so I couldn’t tip her. I feel bad about it. Anyway the male barber that was there asked me not knowing my situation if I liked my hair cut. I told him yes I do. I really love it thanks. He then said well why didn’t I tip her. That really made me feel like a bad customer and it was really rude of him to even acknowledge me not being able to tip my hair stylist. Overall she was amazing.

We have been using this barbershop for most a year. They do my husbands hair and two boys. They are always prompt to greet you and get you in a chair quickly. We went today and for my sons. My oldest previously had his hairc cut by someone they were giving a trial run to. He didnt do the best job. The man who I believe to be the owner corrected it beautifully and didnt charge us for his haircut today. He also said the one who had messed up was no longer there. They have also been patient with my youngest who took several attempts on different occasions before he would allow them to cut his hair.The price is great, service is great, and customer service is outstanding. Id recommend to anyone.

Dilya has been cutting my hair since before A&D Barber Shoo opened. When the shop opened I continued on with having her cut my hair as she always does an excellent hair cut and beard trim. The shop is clean and everyone their is professional. Alex has also cut my hair and does an excellent job as well. I would definitely recommend A&D Barber shop, as it is the best barbershop in the area.

The staff was extremely polite and prompt, they even accepted me as a walk in. The lady that did my beard was quite nice, however I showed her I picture of what I wanted and she entirely tossed that idea and did her own cut, the cut she did was extremely short, a good 4 inches shorter than the picture suggested. I would have rather been turned away than 6 months of growth ruined. If you cant do the cut, just tell the customer. I would have found someone who could have done it. (Upon re inspection the hair dresser made a cut on my hairline randomly, this will require me to go to another shop to get my hairline on the side of my head fixed) 10/10 attitude and atmosphere 0/10 beard Trim
