DO NOT PURCHASE A DOG FROM THIS STORE. I purchased a dog roughly 3 years ago. I was looking to purchase a dog for my nephews and I was not knowledgeable about purchasing a dog from a breeder. Roughly after a year, I was told my dog suffers from seizures and it has been extremely difficult to keep up with all the vet cost. We absolutely love our dog, however this has cause enormous amount of stress and brings sadness to our family. Please save yourself the headache and purchase a dog from a breeder or reputable company.

Decided to visit the store and came in on a Saturday evening. Upon entering, the place REEKED of pot and weed. The woman working there was obviously too focused on getting high in the back of the store instead of attending to these beautiful animals. Most of the puppies were sleeping and are probably very affected from the nasty smell. They had no blankets and the look in their eyes broke my heart. I would not recommend this place and I hope someone else gets hired that actually cares about their job. Poor communication with the lady there. Her brain cells are obviously severely damaged from all the pot. Please just someone go and bring home these precious babies. They deserve the world and more.

I bought a Morkie from here, he was extremely scared and frightened when we brought him home. When he got used to us, he started showing lots of unhealthy signs. His leg looked broken, he had anxiety problems, and later turned out he had a serve tumor when he was only a little puppy. When we found out we couldn’t afford the treatments and tried bringing him back to the store for better care, they refused to give us refunds. Yes, we know we can’t get refunds but the dog was sick and we were never told. DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! GET PUPPIES FROM BREEDERS NOT STORES!!!

We purchased our beautiful little puppy Max from here. Joe was great, he let us in everyday to see and play with him. Our puppy is great. Took him to our own vet and he is healthy. He is already potty training and can hold the whole night. Max is the love of our lives.

Went in to the store and sale guy had no interest in talking to us. He was just standing around and watching me look at the puppies I had to ask questions. All the puppies looked so sad and tired I didn’t see and water or toys. Don’t go here you will leave traumatized

Please listen to the one star reviews on here. My dog died less than a year after buying her from this store. They buy from puppy mills, they did not care about making it right. She was born with a heart defect and we couldnt save her life.Dont give these people your money, theyre monsters. They buy puppies from mills, dogs that are sick. Please research well-respected breeders or adopt at a shelter. I will never forgive this place for what they did to my family. I wish Id never done business there. If my story can save even one other family from experiencing the heartbreak we have experienced, then the time I took to write this will have been worth it.

The pet store is very clean you can tell that they do care for the puppies there. I got my little girl there she now five months and she is so healthy, people need to understand if they are dealing with full bread dogs they do need a lot of care. I worked with the girl who only works weekend she was very helpful and amazing with finding the right one thank you guys so much for helping me find my best friend !

I bought a puppy here about a year ago- she came to us extremely jumpy and fearful, and shows a lot of signs of separation anxiety that we just chalked up to her getting used to her home. These issues never subsided. I think she was separated from her mother very early.When we got her she had kennel cough and giardia. As others have indicated in these reviews its my deep suspicion their puppies are from puppy mills, and that they do not take good care of the animals. Our dog, who has only recently turned 1- has hip dysplasia, arthritis, and a heart murmur with an enlarged valve. We are currently dealing with vet costs that near 1k each visit, and our beloved dog could potentially have life threatening heart problems. Were testing still but it looks like she could potentially have heart failure, which is fatal.When you buy a dog, they recommend you to Englewood Vet (under the guise that they pay for your first visit)- and I suspect he sees enough of these dogs to know they probably come from puppy mills, but sees them as opportunities to make money off of pet owners, though this is just another guess of mine since I cant imagine a vet of repute wanting to be affiliated with a pet store like this unless they were in it to make money in the long run, despite what damage it did to their reputation.Id strongly urge against anyone purchasing a puppy from here. We love our girl, but she may be out of our lives soon, in debt and suffering from heartbreak and its all because we bought a dog from this pet store. Please look into rescues or purchasing directly from reputable breeders. Im upset at myself for falling for this place.

Got a beautiful pup (labradoodle) last week. We werent sure if we were going to go ahead with it. No one there pressured us. They encouraged us to come back and visit her a few times before we picked her up. We put down our deposit and picked her up the following week. She had been bathed and prepared for us before we arrived. We and received all the necessary paperwork and care instructions with helpful information for first time owners. I took her to the vet the following morning and everything was pretty smooth and she is very healthy.As far as the complaints about the customer service, imagine having to take a dog out 20 times a day because 19 of those people just wanted to cuddle and play with a puppy but have no intention of purchasing. Then multiply that by 7 days a week and 52 weeks a year. Its not a hotel, its a pet store. Dogs are kept in decent size cages and appeared to be clean and rambunctious healthy pups.Overall we are extremely pleased with the entire process and most importantly, our new pup.

They have very good puppies, very interactive . I just went yesterday and put a payment on my puppy. I wasn’t able to get him because he didn’t have his shots yet, but they’ll give me a call when everything is okay. Very great service and so polite 👍🏾

STAY AWAY!!!! Spent $1200 on a puppy poodle mix and it had health issues. She died 2 months after her first birthday. Store offers no refund or compensation. They didn’t want to hear it!! Shame on you!

DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS STORE!! They state that the puppies are not from puppies mills but they are. I brought home my adorable wheaten in March and by May she was diagnosed with PLE, a disease passed to puppies when both parents are positive for PLE. I did research on Lucys parents I found that the NJ Puppy Store got the puppies from Amos Schwartz.. If you look his name up the Department of Agriculture (they oversee puppy mills) named the puppy mill THE WORST IN AMERICA with the worst conditions they have ever seen. It is also illegal to sell a puppy when both parents test positive for PLE. Their other location in Wayne was written up and fined previously and vowed to not buy from bad puppy mills. I have written to the Pet Purchase Protection Act and the Human Society to resolve this matter. Lucy will live the rest of her short life in pain and on medicine because NJ Puppies would rather buy from bad puppies mills. SHAME ON YOU NJ PUPPIES!!

You want a real review? Here it is. The place is extremely clean. It really doesnt smell and you are reminded to sanitize when touching pups. They have little play areas should you want to play with a potential furry friend. You have to pay a $5 donation to play but I understand why. They are trying to encourage serious inquiries and discourage people who just want to come in and play with cute puppies. We purchased a Morkie from here. The transaction was very fast. Alyssa was helpful. She seems very cool but straight to the point. She seems to care for the pups too. The only reason I took away a star is because I have no doubt I paid too much for my puppy. But we really wanted her and we just jumped in. Our puppy just got back from the vet and all seems to be fine. Just waiting on poop results. The prices are not adorable but puppies are. Also, they are fed quality food.

Just walked in to look around and watched a person walk in with cash asking for a puppy...it didnt matter what puppy they got...didnt even look at it, hold it, ask questions about it...just had the cash upfront and wanted to leave with a puppy...Guy took the money and they walked out with a puppy under their arm carried like a newspaper...Whole interaction lasted about 5 minutes...I was shocked!...You have money, you get a puppy...who cares what happens to it when it leaves the store...Obviously not going to keep the puppy and probably resell...I pray the puppy isnt abused...Please adopt and dont shop...Youre supporting this criminal behavior towards these innocent puppies and the horrific puppy mills that continue to supply these stores...

This place keeps their store really clean and Im happy they ask not to touch their puppies right away without washing our hands! We played with about 4 dogs and finally we picked our little precious baby. The owners daughter was really helpful getting my family and I started. Even till this day we still call the store asking them questions about taking care of our dog.I like this place because they were helpful, clean, and they even offer other services like boarding/grooming! After searching for weeks for a Siberian Husky, I finally found one that caught my eye. During my lunch break I ran to the store to inquire about him, and immediately fell in love!!! Ive been taking some time to just see how my puppy settles in and its gone well so heres my review. My girlfriend and I went to NJ Puppy Store at first just to see some puppies. We had been having bad days so we just needed some cuteness. When arriving we were both impressed by the cleanliness of the store and the $5 to see the puppies. People who dont like this need to realize its to help the store take care of the pups and its a fantastic idea. The puppies were well taken care of and they all appeared to be looking good. While there I saw a beautiful husky and my girlfriend and I just stopped and stared for a bit. Elyssa (I hope I spelled it right) allowed us to see her even though she told us she should have stayed in. Over the next couple weeks we went in to see the husky and each time Elyssa allowed us yo see her and play with her for as long as we liked. I needed to convince my family and i told her id be in by the end of the week. She held her for me because she knew how interested I was. Now Ive got a perfectly healthy, very dramatic husky at home whos enjoying life. Thanks for all the help

My family and I were looking for a puppy for several months, and we choose this store because some of the good reviews. The guy was so nice, and we bought a soft coated wheaten terrier for $1650. Unfortunately the day we pick up the puppy was not clean and they said they did not cut her nails as they promised, worse of all when we got home we found a huge tick on the puppys neck. I gave two stars because the manager offers to pay for the vet examination and we thanks for that ($78). The concerning point is that now (June 20, 2017),as the vet recommended,we have to wait if the puppy developed any symptoms of Lyme for the following 4 weeks. I have two children and we love to have the puppy at home but Im a mother who is concerning about my childrens health too, and this waiting situation is making very upset and be worried all the time. My posting is to warning anyone to check on the puppy before buying one. Manager from nj puppy store dont get me wrong, I appreciate you offer to pay for the vet but the customers need to know before they try to buy a dog from your store or from any others. I have pictures and video of the tick but I dont know how to add them to this post.

I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is trying to buy a puppy for their love one. They were extremely friendly, very helpful, and were ready to answer all of our questions. They were also very professional with all their service, and made sure we got all the information we needed to know about our dog. Wow what an amazing experience at this location! The puppies are adorable and the staff were surper nice - very clean too! Gaby was so patient and knowledgeable - she had all the answers to my questions. I love my new hypoallergenic puppy! Definitely recommended!

As new dog owners, my wife and I were very nervous about buying a puppy. The folks at Broadway Puppies were very helpful in handling all of our questions no matter how ridiculous. Though we were worried about how to care for our dog, Broadway Puppies took us through puppy care from A-Z.Once you walk in, it is very clear that they care about their puppies. The store is immaculate and much better than stores where Ive seen puppies rolling in their own filth. Before handling any dog, you are asked to sterilize your hands. After researching, I discovered that can be quite essential in not infecting a puppy that hasnt had their vaccinations.In caring for our new pup, Broadway Puppies also provided us with all the essentials at no additional charge. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a new dog. My wife and I couldnt be happier with our new Bulldog named Poppi! Thanks guys!

I went there like a month ago and the girl wouldt even let us hold it because they get scared well how are you supposed to buy when you cant even bond with it and see if it is right for you... its sad i had to give them a star because they do not deserve it AT ALL

MY BEST FRIEND BOUGHT A puppy from this place on a Thursday afternoon. WE were told the vet had checked her completely and she was healthy but to take her to the vet within 2 weeks because She had other dogs in the house. It is now Saturday and WE have just returned from the vet to find out that she not only has kennel cough but also a bacterial infection which if SHE had not taken her today and started her on 3 different anti biotics would have become pneumonia within the week. As to not step on anyones toes and if hate for my friend to be made to feel guilty about the review process I will say that the vet visits are covered by the store and she didnt have to pay for the treatment and that as of today thankfully the puppy is feeling much better!

Is there a negative rating? The disgusting human working in this shop was dismissive, nasty, and nasty... How he’s in charge of sales, or anything for that matter is a wonder. Adopt don’t shop!! And if you do stay far away from this poorly run smelly shop.

They get their dogs from puppy mills, they have the information of the breaders available upon request to see. no reputable dealer has 200 puppies in one visit(this was accounted in their track record folder by a surprise visit by an official) ... dogs have Giardia and other resistant parasites. I know because i got a dog from them and decided to adopt my next dog after that.

I bought a puppy from this store last week. I was not happy with the gentlemen I bought her from, but Sasha (the owner) was amazing. My puppy was under the weather when I bought her. Thankfully Sashas partnership with The Demarest Vet my puppy received excellent care and bounced back to her happy self in a flash. Sasha was great with reassuring and comforting me when I was nervous and even called a week later to make sure my puppy was doing better. :)

My boyfriend and I decided to add a new addition to the fam and brought home a chocolate yorkie from here. This is my second pup and Im certainly wary and very conscious about making sure puppies are in a safe, clean, and loving environment. This place keeps their dogs in an extremely clean environment and most of all, the employees here love dogs. Elissa (I think thats her name!) was so accommodating when I walked in, and it was comforting when I overheard her giving very knowledgeable tips about positive dog training info to another family who was bringing home a dog. I came back every day to visit my pup - the other employee Joe was happy to let me sit there for hours every day! When we finally decided on officially bringing my fur baby home the manager Gabby genuinely cared about making sure our puppy was 100% healthy and followed up to ensure he stayed that way even after we took him home. Thank you guys!

I purchased my baby Pebbles at the end of January, a Shih Poo mix, at nj puppy store and had a great experience. She had a cough when we picked her up and were a bit worried but got in contact with Gabby to let her know. She was so nice and was willing to help. She told us to take her to the Vet that checks the puppies in her store and that she would cover the costs. Well her cough is gone and she is getting treated for giardia. My husband and I are so happy that we have Pebbles in our lives and would recommend nj puppy store.

Bought my Bernese mountain dog back in August, and was told she had a slight cough but nothing more. Went to the vet the next day, and my puppy had an extremely high fever, upper respiratory infection and giardia! After a month and over 1500 in vet bills her infections were gone, however it took 3 bouts of medication to get rid of the giardia. I honestly believe We saved her life, due to how sick she was. Im not saying dont get a puppy but Im saying be careful especially if you think the puppy could be sick. And dont use a stores vet because they always clear the bill of health! Make sure to use your own and be confident in the results!

I have spent some time consulting with the owner about her policies and trying to control diseases in her pets and find her to be very knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate about trying to maintain healthy puppies. I think some of the comments that are made by some of these reviews are naïve about what is in the industry number one, but more so, in the danger of introducing disease as people come into shop. I am also a breeder but more importantly a veterinarian and I will tell you that NO ONE is allowed to touch my puppies until they are paid for and walking out the door. WHY? I watch litter after litter get parvo and kennel cough because breeders dont understand the potential risks involved. Many of these puppies die or the breeder is faced with astronomical bills they cant afford. With the offending party walking away with no responsibility for what they have done even though they are responsible for the death of puppies. Instead of writing negative comments about not being able to touch the puppies we should be praising the policy. Personally I have a lot more of a problem when I walk into a pet store that have the puppies out so everyone can touch them. Often those diseases take several days to really manifest themselves so you dont know you have a sick puppy until later when you are already deeply in love. I wish everyone was as passionate about taking care of the pets in their care!

Hello All,I bought a yorkie from the store on MArch 25 2015. It was a last minute deal and the store stayed open for me an extra half hour because I was stuck in traffic. To stay open like that was GREAT SERVICE would you stay at work later then you have to ???The yorkie is gorgeous and great health.... I have friends that have yorkies and each of them said mine was the cutest and healthiest puppy they saw ! He is a wonderful dog sleeps the whole night and is already housebroken ! This stores puppies are GREAT !! I know dogs and this place is by far the best SEVICE< PUPPIES AND PRICE AROUND .... YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET !IF I COULD DO TEN STARS I WOULD !!! I recently bought my shih tzu puppy from Broadway Puppies and had an excellent experience there. I had researched and been to almost every puppy store in Bergen county and found Broadway Puppies to be the cleanest and most helpful. I have been to Broadway Puppies many times in the past few months and can say that every time Ive been there it was a positive experience. Sasha and Gaby are wonderful and truly care about their puppies. The store is the cleanest store weve been to and when we came late one night we even went in the basement to see the puppies downstairs. The basement is spotless and very well kept. The rules of the store are SIMPLE and are to benefit the puppies and to keep them from any harm. I cannot understand how some people are offended by rules that keep the puppies safe! I have had my puppy for 6 weeks now and he is the most loving, adorable and well adjusted puppy I know. The Vet that was reccommended by Broadway Puppies (Teaneck Animal Clinic) is wonderful and we feel so comfortable sending our puppy to them. Overall, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Broadway Puppies and would highly reccommend this boutique to anyone looking for a great dog!

As an outsider i watched a minor conflict between the employee and customer. he was greeted just like i was at the door asking not to touch the puppies. which is understandable bc we as humans carry a lot of germs. they told me and a few others who walked into the store after me not to touch the puppies but if we wanted to see one just to let them know. i over heard them explaining why and the reason made sense. people an be ignorent and not know what they are talking about when they write these hatred comments. these people are not bad and i can see they put care into their dogs as well as im sure other places do but this shop is family owned. it seems like everyone gets along really well. they are all nice people.this place isnt as bad as people make it seem on yelp or anywhere else. i like how they keep their puppies in cribs it made me happy knowing they are not sitting in cages all day.also this place is REALLLLY clean and after reading one comment about their basement i was interested in seeing it for myself. they took me down and it is just as clean as upstairs. After playing and seeing the place, we asked the staff some questions and they were very helpful.
