Went to get my muffler delete and exhaust tips welded. I delt with the Shop Manager Niko, also the Fabricator Abraham. They both are AMAZING!! Both were patient and cared about my needs. The quality of service is like no other! Best place to go if you want the business to care about you as a customer. While I was waiting for car all the other customers who walked in love Niko and service he brings to the customers. Only place I will go to service my car.

Niko, GM, honored my request for a bare minimum repair job at a very reasonable price. He had the car put up on a lift beforehand and showed me exactly what kind of work they would be performing. He even called an Uber to drive me home so that I didnt have to sit and wait. I was extremely pleased with the service and customer care at this garage. If anything goes wrong with the work that was done, I will amend this review, but as of now, I would definitely recommend this establishment to everyone

Great overall service. I like that they shared pictures of issues with the car in an inspection email which then made it easer to decide what needed to be fixed immediately. Car was ready in the same day and I appreciated their overall professionalism.

People that give happy and smiling service are 100% better, then grumpy faces in my opinion.And its a good thing when you can find a mechanic that gives you satisfactory service everytime you come here.

Made an appointment for an oil change. It took them 3 hours to do it.

I brought my car to this Location on January 7th because it was Shaking and for General checkup. After a whole Day at the Center the guy (Elvis) said it was Brake Replacement, Tire Replacement, Rotation and Oil... Ok. I paid $1,989.22 for all to be completed. A few weeks after (March 21st) car started shaking again, i brought it back in and he said the Brake piece they used was damaged and apologized again and Asked me to wait for them to order the piece and install it. I got there at 12pm and left at 5pm... car was still shaking a little. Today 4/13/2021 on the way home it started shaking crazy, Started showing Brakes issue on Dashboard and oil and started going of on the Parkway... i called the company and spoke with Jose, he checked my visit log and nowhere it showed that tires were replaced, that was already sketchy and left me waiting for about 5 minutes to then give me a number for a tow company to pick my car up since 6pm and at 7:48pm the lady from the Tow company told me it was going to be another 2 hours and half for them to arrive and that they could not do anything because the shop was closed. i sent my car with the tow company to the shop yesterday (4/16/2021) and they received it, i explained to Elvis all that was going on, today is 12;11pm and have not got any call back yet, called the store and asked and Elvis said to me that there seems to be lekeage of Oil because when they moved my car there was oil under but what is crazy is that when the Towing company removed my car from the place it was overnight, no oil was on the floor, it was clean. when i confronted him about it (really mad actually because its been another day without being able to work and waiting for your corporate offices to call me) he got mad and hunged up on me and when i called back he didnt picked up... REALLY? is this the Customer service you guys have this is the Third time my card presents issues after going to your shop. how come if there was a leakage issue it wasnt found on march 21st when it was there? perhaps he got nervous because he knows they are not paying attention to the vehicles and just grabbing the money? UPDATE 4/19/2021: My car issue wasnt solved, they did not take responsability on it, the car was there since Wednesday 14th and nothing was done or said until i decided to call saturday and just provided me with an estimate of $518 for two hoses which are cheap to buy but they charge $140 per Hour and 2 is the minimum.... the Zone supervisor or something like that never called me back, nothing from their corporate offices and nothing from the Store Manager (Elvis) either which i understand being Rude and Unprofessional. this has been one of a lifetime situation for me but i will never come back to this place and all my family and friends already know as well.

Payed for air filter, serpentine belt, tune up and new spark plugs my car stalls now engine light blinks on and off with I never had this problem. I called and spoke to the person that is in charge and explained to him whats going on with my vehicle now he got and attitude and was very rude and told me when I bring it back so they can look at it hes gonna charge me. I was a loyal customer at this location for few years. Last time I visited them for a brake pads change, they overcharged me almost double. They changed rear brake pads in my car 3 month before and the bill was 100$, 3 months later price went double. Guy on front dest said it cost more because front brake pads are larger in size than rear! Thats just funny what a lie he came out with. They wont return my money, even after they promised to return 50$ after I showed them receipt from previous visit. What a scam! Do not go to this business! And if you do, check your bill carefully before paying for anything! I reported this location to nj consumer affairs with copies of my receipts. Lets see what they gonna say after investigation.

Had oil changed today. Sent my 22 year old son to bring the car in and they were very nice to him. Asked them to check the windshield fluid jets because they werent working. They fixed the issue (had become disconnected) with a smile. Very nice team, extremely professional receptionist. They were great.

I went in for a scheduled oil change and a wheel alignment and they told me I would need new tie rods. I authorized the repair because I expected they might need replacing after a minor fender bender I had the day before. A few hours (and $600) later, I picked up my car and there was a terrible metal grinding and clanking noise when attempting to make any turns. And if the grinding noises werent bad enough, the car locked up when the wheel was fully turned and wouldnt move no matter how hard you stepped on the gas. The manager there, Elvis, reassured me I simply needed a new wheel well and that I should bring it back within the week so he could replace it. NOT. I had a feeling there was something else wrong with my car so I got a second opinion from another shop who spent three and a half hours trying to diagnose the problem. It wasnt until I told him I recently had the tie rods replaced that he realized Meineke installed two left side tie rods! He was able to remedy the issue, and gave me the tie rod he removed so I could bring it back to Meineke, but my car is worse off than when I dropped it off. The car has been making noises it never made before ever since it was serviced. Im obviously no mechanic and I understand mistakes happen, but at least be sure whats actually wrong before giving some bogus reason. I felt so cheated and disrespected.Ive been waiting for a resolution specialist to contact me regarding a refund for two weeks now but at this point I just want my money back so I can be done with this and finish repairing the damage THEY did!

I made an appointment to check my 2011 GMC Acadia’s engine light, yesterday 10/24. When I arrived at 12 pm, it looked like no vehicles were getting serviced. I received a call 1 hour later and was told the car needed new rear brakes and some other minor work. They never said anything about my engine light and said it could just be the brakes. I asked how much for all of the work and I was quoted by the rep $365. I put him on hold and spoke with my wife and we decided to move forward with the repairs. I didn’t get an estimate from them and just took the reps word for the cost. 2 hours later I was called to pick up my car. At that time it looked like they were closing for the day. I went to pay and I saw the balance due was over $800. I told him I was here to pick up my GMC Acadia. He said that’s the amount. I told him I was quoted $365 on the phone. He said he was the one that spoke to me and he did not tell me that. I told him for rear brakes and minor work that seemed way too high, and I would have never agreed to go forward with the repairs for that amount. Even if the estimate was correct, I didn’t have it at the time, and would have had to save up for such big repairs. I told him I didn’t even get an estimate from them but took his word for the amount which was $365. He said he couldn’t do anything about it. I had no choice but to pay and take the car.I literally got this work done yesterday and if I could, I would have them take the parts out and put the old ones back. This sounds to me like a pure scam!! From reading other reviews, it appears they do this a lot. They are taking advantage of hard working people just to make a quick buck. Like I said, if there is a warranty on my work, I would love to return it and have them reimburse me. I hope this message reaches someone thinking of using them...STAY AWAY !!! These people are not honest, and you will be overcharged. Make sure to get an itemized estimate before agreeing to any work. I took the reps word and it cost me over $500, which I didn’t have. I feel cheated and they don’t even deserve a 1 rating. I will be reviewing my experience all over social media and the BBB.From someone that lives in town and has lots connections! Thanks

Elvis the general manager of the fair lawn location provided me with exceptional service from the first call I made to set an appointment. I thank the techs Abe & Alex who worked on my vehicle and I can’t recall which one, but one of the gentlemen went out their way to assist a family member of mine who was in need of a jump start a block away. Exceptional service all around and highly recommend this location.

They charge 2 times the price as other auto repair shops. I got a quote FOR HALF of what they claimed was THE LOWEST PRICE you can find. But they add a bunch of unnecessary things to drive up the price. They quoted me $1,100 for THE SAME thing that other places quoted me $500! Dont bother with this place!

Mike @ meineke is not working there anymore & new guys didn’t tell us verbally our brake pads were getting bad during our last oil change. Now it costs us more to change rotors plus it was unsafe to drive w almost no brakes. I would not recommend going there.

I live in Jersey city NJ but would always take the trek to this particular Mineke location in Fairlawn NJ as they are very professional and go the extra length to please the customer, in particular Mike the district manager whom I had the pleasure of meeting . I took my car there with a rear driver side brake noise and suffice to say that although it was a little tricky to diagnose the car was repaired and I left there a happy camper. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !

I stopped by on a busy Monday morning and they had a couple of minutes to squeeze me in and fixed a very small issue for me on the spot for a very reasonable price. The last time I visited this location, they were also affordable and prompt and did a good job.EDIT: Revising it down to two stars. I felt that they overcharged me now that I had dug into the pricing a bit more. I had a video of a noise coming from underneath the vehicle that i thought was an exhaust leak. They told me it was definitely valve train and my motor was very sick trying to get me to do more motor work. I finally crawled underneath and looked around and found it was coming from my transmission. I took it to the transmission shop and it ended up being a defective solenoid. Also, the shop manager attempted to tell me my motor was bad and needing replacing. I had a second and third opinion and they told me it is old but fine, just keep driving it. Wont be returning.

He will work with you in many different ways such as pricing making it affordable and stress free. For YEARS I was going to the other side of town to have my car serviced. That mechanic is only open on week days. So for a single working person that was a hassle.In the car industry its hard to trust people, as we all know. However Ive been living up the street from here so gave it a shot. 3 years later I come here exclusively.Mike runs the joint and has awesome mechanics. Abe is one of the hardest working guys in the industry. The team will outline what needs to be done on the car but will never up-sell you. However on the flip side, if Mike and the mechanic think the car has safety issues, they will outline the risks. I have come to trust them with my one and only vehicle!

The worst company I ever dealt with. They overcharged me, when I complained about it, I was promised a refund. After more than 10 phone calls to them, there is no refund. It has been more than a month.

There is new ownership/management as of mid-2018, some of the current ratings apply to this location prior to this time frame. This review covers the new team. Mike is the new general manager and he is honest and fair, something that isnt always easy to find with automotive service, and also brings years of diagnostic experience and expertise in the field. The technicians are also polite and very knowledgeable in their respective areas. You can bring your vehicle in without fear of getting ripped off and they stand behind their work. As with any franchised corporation, experience may differ greatly between locations however Meinekes Fair Lawn location under its new management is highly recommended.

Expert exhaust repair

We had a coil short-out on the Parkway, and got a tow to this location. Despite being busy, Mike and his team got to work right away and kept us updated. We were only there for a few hours and they really went above and beyond to get us back on the road. You can definitely trust them with your car.

Ive just started to come to this place and have had two great experiences over the last six months. They gave me a free oil change on Veterans Day in Nov. which is what prompted my second visit this month. During my initial visit they noted several problems my car had (which I knew about - brakes, tires, etc). But I didnt have the money to do the work at that time. They gave me a quote. I checked around and everyone else was 10-25% higher. finally I saved the money but thought they might not honor the quote which was only good for 30days. But to my surprise and pleasure- They DID!!! And took another 10% off the initial quote because I was a veteran, that I didnt expect!!! I feel this is the most honest and helpful shop in the area. Thanks Dom and Pat!!

These guys do a great job. Ive been going to this shop for a little while now, and they always return my car quickly and with the service done right. Staff is very friendly and honest. I called the day before i came in . I spoke to Mike. Mike his staff analyzed the issues to my vehicle and saw minor problems. Didnt charge me. The shop that I took to before gave me a list of things to charge me an absorbing rate. They were honest with me and that is rare in the automotive business. I recommend this shop for repairs. I must say that this was by far the worse experience I have ever had with a car shop. Took my van to this place to get some work done on a Friday and they promise they would begin working on it Saturday morning. Saturday we waited half the day and evening and he called and said there was a flood in the shop. (Now I realize that was some bull). They are not open here on Sundays so that was another day without my car but ok I waited. Monday came no call. When we called him he said he was short staff, didnt even begin the work. I was pissed. Only reason why I didnt take the car is because I had my other car with me at the time. I left it one more day. Tuesday I was so done with this place when I found out they still had not began working on my car. I will never ever go to this place again and I told everyone I know about this and apparently some others had the similar experience.

I had to make two trips there, first time to know the slot I asked for wasnt available and was given a slot for next morning. Reached next morning at scheduled time, had to wait since there were multiple bookings for the same slot.Mike did make sure my car was attended to as soon as possible and also answered all my questions patiently . I will surely come back for service again.

I brought my Lincoln MKT in to get the gear oil changed in my rear differential and power transfer unit. It was my mistake not asking for a written estimate before the work started and at the end I got handed a $400+ bill. When I reviewed the bill the prices for the gear oil was much higher than what I found online and where it said they used 3 quarts of oil the owners manual stated the power transfer unit only needed a half quart. Same for the rear differential. On these MKTs...which are basically long wheelbase Ford Tauruses...there simply isnt that much gear oil in these units. When I called to inquire about the bill after reviewing it back home they told me the machine takes a lot more oil, but I looked at the BG machine they would use online and I didnt believe their story. Always ask for a written estimate and go over it with the shop before work starts. This was my mistake going into this place...but on the other hand they should have offered an estimate and an amount before the work started. Handing someone a large bill which doesnt make any sense before the work starts is not a good business practice. I shouldnt have to ask for an estimate, they should provide one before the work starts and get the customers signature on that estimate so there are no misunderstandings. I will not bring my car back here and cannot suggest it.

Great service, always busy, very accommodating

This was the worst experience I have ever had when getting a simple oil change. I bought a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change. I shower up on a Monday at 130 in the afternoon. I was waiting for two hours. I finally saw my car go into the garage after I asked what was taking so long. Once the car came out the technician drove it up but left a wire hanger sitting on the passenger seat. When I asked why that was there he told me they had locked the key in and needed to break into my car. By that time I was fuming and would have killed someone if I was to talk to them about it. I got in the car and drove away. That’s when I realize how bad the inside of the care smelled like burnt engine oil. The rub is now I feel like I need to go back because as I drove back home I noticed that my car had started squeaking when I turn the wheel.

This place is awesome mike the manager is the best he was very patient listening to my car problems truthful and honest with advice he was concerned and caring I will recommend this location to everyone who needs maintenance done ✅

They have no clue what they’re doing I brought the car in yesterday they did a diagnosis on my car they told me I have a major oil leak And to bring the car back today and that the specialist is going to look at it mind you it’s a BMW so they said a specialist from German cars will be there lmao And that he charges $89 an hour And he told me right away that it’s going to be a very big job they did all the codes And they still couldn’t tell me what was wrong except that it’s an oil leak and they don’t know where it’s coming from Oh and I forgot to add I only brought the car in for a oil change which they didn’t change because they said to bring the car back today and technically charge me a fortune for it. So I called back today because originally the girl That was there was supposed to give me a printout of the diagnostic of the car and I guess she didn’t put it in the system that the car was diagnosed and when I called back this morning the owner picked up very nasty very unpleasant he didn’t even let me speak Was extremely unprofessional and rude He said that there was no diagnostic done LOL that I have to do it again today which I kept on telling him that they already did all that yesterday but he wouldn’t even listen to me thank God I didn’t bring my car back today because I would really really regret it Don’t even waste your time going in there it tells a lot if The owner is rude unprofessional And wants to do something on your car that was already done I’m actually at a mechanic at the moment so far he said that there is NO oil leaks The only thing that the car needs is the Brake fluid and an oil change lmao What a Scamers Unbelievable how those mechanics take advantage of people and they literally want to Trick you into doing something your car doesn’t even need I am so angry people like that shouldn’t even work on cars and lose their license but hey at least I know now and I hope everybody could see this And if you Don’t want to be scammed DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!

Great service. Mike took care of me as soon as I walked in the door and quickly had my tire plugged at a very reasonable price.

I will never used this muffler shop ever again. Paid for a new muffler which made a horrible loud. I returned the next day and was told the new muffler needs time and the noise will stop. After a week i couldnt take the loud noise any longer and returned again. This time I was told most people pay for that type of noise from a muffler. The most ridiculous statement I ever heard. Im not most people. Again was told it needs time to adjust to the car. The following week I called and was told no one was available to assist me. I will be contacted back the next day. Well the next day came and no one contacted me. I had to go to another auto mechanic shop and have it taken out and replaced with a different muffler. Was informed by the new mechanic the muffler he replaced was a cheap low grade model. It cost me about $200. for the muffler and $121 for labor with Meineke. My new muffler cost $71 from Napa auto and my mechanic charged $120 for labor. My truck no longer has any loud noise runs like a baby. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MERCHANT
