Romanoff Renovations installed the Home Depot vinyl plank flooring throughout my Condo. The installer (Alex Llin) was exceptional. In 3 1/2 days he:: 1) removed the carpeting, old linoleum (bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and utility room), tile (entry and fireplace hearth) 2) leveled the wood subflooring, 3} Installed 1230 sqft of vinyl planks, and 4) installed new baseboards throughout the Condo. (He also moved the furniture to allow access to the work area.). The whole project was fast, efficient, and professional.

Terrible experience as if selling a home is not stressful enough they have definitely added to the stress. I ordered carpet through Home Depot, I spent $100 more for this carpet because the original one I wanted was “going to take longer”. I was told the carpet should be delivered timely and it would not take too long after to schedule the install. I was contacted the day before my install that the carpet was not delivered and no one could figure out where it was …(why even schedule the install without having the product in the first place?!). I’ve had to go back and forth between Home Depot and Romanoff. My carpet was delivered 9/1 but now they are booked out 8 weeks and “will do their best” to get us back on the schedule and being referred back to Home Depot to “see if there’s anything they can do for me” but they are the installer so basically SOL. I am now scrambling to find another carpet install company. Such a waste of time.

They were very professional and on top of communications. Made sure that I knew all the info I needed to know, to get the floors prepped for installation. The installer had an arrival time frame of 9:00 - 12:00. He didn’t actually show until after 1pm. The installer just put his head down and worked hard. He was able to finish 440 sqft of life proof laminate flooring before the end of the day and it looks amazing! Very happy with their services!

Carpet installation was fine. This was the same contractor we had the last time we did HD carpet installation. However this time the scheduled install date had to be changed on a short timeline and one of our iPhone changers disappeared out of our bathroom attached to the bedroom getting carpet. I left a message at Romanoff the evening of the installation after searching everywhere, and called back the afternoon of the next business day after no response and told an employee about the issue. He said he would contact the installation team and follow-up. It has been two more days and no follow-up. I have contacted HD now for reimbursement of a replacement charger since the Romanoff is not communicating. I would not recommend this business due to communication.

The installer was very courteous and professional. The installation of our luxury vinyl plank turned out nearly flawless. He was fast and efficient. It did take 2 days because of some levelling issues but the installer allowed me to do the levelling myself and returned the next day without any issue or additional charges. I would consider using them again in the future.

The employees that we worked with, Jeremy (carpet install) and Alex (LVP install) were wonderful. I feel like they both went the extra mile to have our project turn out as beautiful as possible. Weve had minor communication issues regarding some corrections that needed to be madeafter the fact (nothing big - tiny, honest mistakes that anyone couldve made), but aside from that, Romanoff really took care of us and took our job flooring seriously. Thank you guys!

Contracted by Home Depot to install new carpet in approx. 300 sq ft room, closet and hallway. Good and timely install with no damage to baseboards. Minor scratches (cosmetic) to door which the installers were professional enough to point out. Had to ding one star for one of the installers not remaining masked consistently while I was present. While a minor concern for me, this may be a larger issue for others.

Because our assigned installer had to depart on an emergency the day before our carpet was to be installed, we were informed that our installation was pushed back another 5 weeks. However, Justin Warren, the manager, explained that the new date was just a placeholder and he would do everything he could to get it done much sooner, including trying to get an installer on the weekend. Just a few hours later, when another installer became available because asbestos had been found on his job, Justin put that installer on our carpet installation. Pepe was our amazing installer. He worked alone, efficiently and worked non-stop until the job was done. We are extremely happy with the final product, installation and how Justin so calmly but skillfully managed the entire situation.

My craftman was Jose Perez and he and his teammate absolutely nailed the install of our carpet. They installed it on the stairs, a hallway, and 4 rooms. It looks perfect, they clean up afterwards and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. Just a side note, if you are getting flooring done, they won’t help you move furniture and they constantly remind you of this leading up to the install. If you see any bad reviews about them not moving furniture it’s because the customer didn’t follow directions. All in all 5+ service.

I cannot recommend highly enough the professionalism and excellent work from Romanoff Renovations. A crew came out last month and put in vinyl planking which is just gorgeous. Everyone who sees it, asks about it and wants it. I absolutely love it and the crew was wonderful. They worked efficiently and did a superb job, while maintaining respect for my home. That crew was excellent!I also had Romanoff Renovations do carpet throughout my 3000+ sq foot home, both floors on Monday, and it is wonderful. They worked tirelessly the entire 12 hours and it is simply gorgeous. They were friendly and so great to work with. The lead installer Pedro was superb. There were 3 installers who really worked hard. Jason was great as well and the third installer who was equally a perfectionist. Great job with your crew Pedro. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a fast and expert job.I am so glad they were recommended to me by Home Depot. Thank you guys! As my husband of 59 years just died, this renovation has truly given me something to be very happy and grateful for, a new and beautiful look to our home we built 35 years ago and truly love.Diane Linn

So these guys are partners with Home Depot for carpet installs. Signs everywhere inside the store saying “7 day rapid install” or whatever they promise. Well turns out “that isn’t really a real thing” as one of their front desk people stated. I spent close to 3k on carpet expecting to have it installed within that time period due to a time sensitive job and guess what...they can’t deliver for their biggest customer and a huge cooperation. You would think being a service company like this that you would make sure to keep the customers coming from Home Depot happy, along with all customers. 3 weeks out is what they are...that is a lot longer than 7 days....c’mon man!

Bad company. We booked with Home Depot specifically telling them we needed our install done on a specific date. They said that it is totally doable. They sent us an email confirming our installation date in 2 emails. Home Depots installation manager said we don’t guarantee dates. I’m thinking why did Romanoff email us the specific date of install? Home Depot is just as responsible for this- in fact this is their install company. Good choice Home Depot. NOT!!!!!!!We flew in from out of town to get this done only to have them not show up on our confirmed day. We never got an email or call or an explanation. Then we called the installation company and talk about trying our problem but they flipped this on us telling us how 90% of their clients are putting their house on the market. First of all it’s none of your business why I need carpet installed and second OWN YOUR SCREW UPS. management from this company had an attitude. I read reviews on yelp and had I known how low their rating were and how other websites show how bad the company is from ex employees it matches exactly what my experience is.I am a contractor and spend $50,000 a year with Home Depot. Not anymore. I went to Lowe’s and no issues and they stick to the dates. Much better in my opinion. Management at Romanoff made excuses and was so rude. Took no ownership. Can’t guarantee dates etc. As a contractor our clients rely on deadlines and schedules. Romanoff doesn’t apparently give you an exact date. So do we just say I will wait all week until you arrive? At least call if you can’t come and have the courtesy to let us know. Horrible experience and I will never use Home Depot again. Can’t seem to control the companies they hire. Romanoff you need to change your policy and rude managers. Will be posting this to warn people. This has cost me thousands of extra dollars for a $1400 small job. I strongly recommend you use another company.

I am beyond disappointed. This was a job contracted through Home Depot. The installer said he couldn’t not complete a small flooring job (only 124sq ft) on the day of the job because he said the floor wasn’t level enough. Made me return all of the materials/flooring by hand and proceeded to tell me it would be $1,100 +plus tax more dollars to complete. He also said I could pay him instead of Home Depot and not to buy their vinyl because we could buy his - clearly scamming and not loyal. I had paid $700 for the job to be completed. He knew we were desperate (supposed to close our house in two days) and took advantage of that. It was a scam and we were backed into a corner. We will never use Home Depot or Romanoff Flooring because they are scammers! Their horrible rating and tons of complaints on BBB proves it.

Booked Home Depot to install the carpet in my elderly mothers home. They use Romanoff Renovations for their carpet installation. Carpet guy never showed and never called on scheduled installation date despite previous confirmations via phone and email the day before. Romanoff Renovations is ignoring our phone calls. My elderly mother who had people come in to remove all her furniture from the bedrooms per Im instructions we received was forced to sleep on the floor amid a pile of rubble. She has now paid over $1300 for a job that was not completed and there is no communication coming from the manager of Romanoff Renovations despite assurances from Home Depot that they would call me by noon today. When I call the number Home Depot gave me it goes straight to voicemail.

Absolutely horrible company. The initial installers that came out were very polite and respectful, but after that everything went downhill. They left part of their work unfinished, so when we called the company the day after installation, we were told that they would speaking with someone and call us back to get something arranged. We heard nothing for 3 weeks until we called them. The assistant manager, Jeff, was scheduled to come out and finish the job that was left uncompleted. When he was at our home, he was absolutely unprofessional and behaved as though we were the biggest nuisance for ever having to make him come to our home to do work. He said very few words overall, but when he did talk, he had a major attitude. We then called the manager, Jerry, later that day because the work Jeff had completed was not done correctly, and he left part of our hardware on our closets bent and they were non-functional. Instead of speaking to Jerry, we were transferred to Jeff. We told him about the issue and his response was that: It was not his job to fix it and that he would not install different hardware, so we were on our own. Im stunned that anyone in a leadership position like this would behave in such a way, and frankly, Jeff should not even be in this position if that is how he is going to response to a customer request or complaint. Shame on you.Home Depot needs to seriously reconsider the contracts they send to this company. Their behavior is absolutely disgusting, and they have no place in customer service. I will never recommend carpet installation from this company.

Horrible customer service. I purchased and scheduled a home depot carpet installation(5 days express install) on Aug 12th. They are not available until September 3rd to install. 5 days install is a fault advertisement.Today on August 29th, they called me to see if I wanted to fill in an August 30th installation spot. I said yes. Then realized the baseboard needs to get installed and painted first, so called back in an hour and my original spot on September was already taken. The lady on the other end was extremely rude and said there is nothing she can do. The next available date is September 23rd. She said all she can do is cancel the Friday appointment. I said I will check what I can do and hanged up. Luckily. I called back again and there was a nicer lady there who told me there is still one spot available on September 6th. So different info were given to me.Also, be aware that there is a 15% restocking fee if you cancel or revise carpet amount.

Don’t buy carpet through Home Depot or you will get these guys as installers. I received email after email for a scheduled install after a $1600 purchase. 10 minutes before Romanoff scheduled show up time, I receive a call that the carpet was wrong length. Wow. Three weeks ago, they had a cancelation and wanted to squeeze my home into that opening. Carpet was fine then?? I got a refund from Home Depot and went elsewhere. You get a list of demands for the installers. Move this, we won’t touch that, must be this temperature, the list goes on. But they can’t even ensure the customers demands are met. I took the day off from work for this too. Carpet installers.. They had one job.. Again, horrible. 10 minutes before show up time! C’mon !!!

I would not recommend doing any business with the Romanoff Renovations office out of Tacoma, WA which receives most if not all their contracts through Home Depot. It started with the leadership sending one man to do a job of tiling 1200 square feet in five days. By midway point, you could see the deterioration of the quality of work. I sent pictures and a letter to Romanoff and Home Depot with my concerns and received no response after five days and once I sent another email to follow up I finally received a response. Romanoff scheduled an inspection in which Jeff, the field operations manager showed up and appeared to be disrupted by coming out and acted very unprofessional and did not even bring any tools with him. I was under the impression it would be a complete inspection of the job lasting up to two hours as described by their person who scheduled the appointment.I walked him through the house and his words were “What you got?” or “What else you got?” so we didn’t get a warm feeling our concerns would be properly addressed or resolved. I stressed several times on the disbelief of only having one person do such a large job and there was no quality control from neither Romanoff Renovations nor Home Depot during or after the project was complete. I also mentioned that none even bothered to call me to address my concerns to resolve the issues at hand and asked that someone in management call me with the outcome of the inspection. Jeff looked me in the eye and said “I will be calling you with the update myself.” Two days later a receptionist calls to schedule an appoint to fix one tile and I responded that Jeff was supposed to be calling me with the update and I’m waiting on him to contact me. The receptionist relayed I refused to schedule an appointment so I went back to Home Depot to resolve this issue. I called back to Romanoff Renovations and requested to speak to Jeff’s supervisor twice and was told Jerry was out of the office and he is very responsive and will call back soon, I never received a call from him. Jeff called me to conduct a reinspection with a Home Depot manager which I had to cancel last minute due to a delay in my daughter’s flight arrival due to the Canadian fires and rescheduled the inspection for August 25th 2017 as I thought. On Wednesday August 23, 2017 I called Romanoff Renovations to confirm the time of the inspection and they had submitted it as an install and I corrected them saying it was supposed to be an inspection done by Jeff and a manger from Home Depot and the receptionist said she would have to pass this to Jeff and he would call me the next day due to being gone for the day. I received no call from them on Thursday and was expecting Jeff and the Manager from Home Depot to show up for the inspection on Friday August 25th, 2017 to have an installer come and say he was here to install one tile. We explained to him that we weren’t prepared for that work and had company over and were expecting an inspection. I called back to Home Depot and continue to work with them to resolve our issue but without this Company. Save yourself the headache and hire professionals that will do it right the first time! I never heard from Jerry Ozburn, the installation manager.
