Booking was easy on the website, the environment was really chill, good conversation and SheaButta did an amazing job on my haircut/lineup. I stream for twitch online to hundreds of people a day so my appearance is very important and she made me look GREAT, very clean and professional look! really appreciated the people and the service they provided. 10/10 recommended for anyone whos worried about finding a new barber. My son needed a haircut to go look for work so I booked him appointment at at 10:00 a.m. at this shop with Kevin. I was working so had my friend give him a ride. BIG mistake, because the guy took another client 1st even though my son had the 1st apt of the day. He super slow to the point my friend almost had to leave him son there. To add to this, it is the WORST haircut my son has ever had. It was supposed to be a tapered fade and isnt even close. It was not taken in close enough, and is completely uneven and the guy left a lot of corners. I would never recommend anyone to go there.

This barbershop located in Everett, WA is the best place Ive EVER been at to get my haircut. There was a man there named Kevin and his cuts are unreal. The man is legendary! Ive now moved to Texas and dream of those days getting a fresh cut, but nobody will ever do it like Chop It Up.

He mentioned that the black barber was out due to covid. He was late cutting my sons hair. Talked way to much and I told him not to mess with the hairline. Jacked it up on one side. I didnt say anything because I didnt want him to push back the other side. Its hard to find a good barber out here!!!

These guys know what they are doing. My sister and I brought 3 boys in and they were quick to accept them as walk-ins and did a great job cutting their hair, adding cool designs as well. My sister is a regular customer, I am now as well!

I found a great shop with a better atmosphere around the corner.. when I came in with my son (6 years old) one night(last minute&no appointment) the conversation in the shop between barbers and other male clients was awkward..”locker room” type talk.. I just felt the vibe was inappropriate and uncomfortable/unnecessary for a public/walkin location .. the cut was fine but not worth the awkwardness

Came here every week for months. Wasn’t treated very nice, kind of snobby barbers..I then also left and would notice details and hairs not cut every time. I ended up finding a more professional and precise barber but had to work overtime so tried them out one last time. They took two people who came after me and were not very welcoming at all. I ended up just walking out. I’m pretty laid back but time after time I came and ran into rude service, not precise cuts and even made to wait for up to an hour even when I booked an appointment online. I recommend Los Jefes Barbershop in Monroe, worth the extra 25 minute drive and great attention to detail

Went in barber said he had a cut at coming in so he couldn’t then let 1 minute later and got someone who didn’t know what he was doing and other barbers knowing he didn’t couldn’t say anything before I said yes to this guy touching my hair. Asked for a simple medium skin fade and on the back shaved half way up and no fade never going here again really poor barber!

I came into Everett to visit with my daughter in law and & grandson and mom my daughter in law said my grandson needed to get a hair cut and so I offered.She let me know that he hates it and she has to hold his head to keep him still he is 3 years old.I left my mom place and l saw a barbershop near by, I wanted to take my grandson to a mans shop because he is a little man.My grandsons barber was Mr. Wood #34 he was patient and very kind. My first time in this shop and taking my grandson to get a hair cut.Mr. Wood did an amazing job and my grandson was a little man he behaved himself a little wiggly but over all I backed off and let Mr. Wood do his thing.I tipped him generously because its hard working with kids and Mr. Wood did an excellent job.I suggest if you take your little man into this shop trust them and back off as a grandparent trust me they do good work.

Im a little conflicted so Ill start with the positive. I came in late (about an hour before closing) mostly to just check it out and maybe make an appointment. The guys working greeted me and mentioned they could squeeze me in so I stayed.I ended up with Nick as my barber. He recognized my cut and just got right to work after exchanging a few words about length. He got it done well and faster than any place I had gone before so 5 stars on cut. Nick was friendly and professional.People kept coming in as walk-ins and the two of them were doing what they could to fit them in.But I do have to criticize some things.This place is CASH only with an ATM inside. Although I understand the fact that barbers and hair stylists often rent the chair/space they use and you are paying them directly and not the business, we are in the 21st century. Its not hard to set up your own card processing on your phone. Get with the times, if you can push your Instagram page you can download an app and buy a card reader dongle.Neither barber cleaned up hair between customers which can be off-putting to most. Part of this may have been them trying to push though as many customers as they can before closing, though jokes were made about it as though it was perfectly acceptable to just leave it like it was a competition.All in all though I would gladly have Nick cut my hair again, Ill just have to remember to bring cash.

POOR customer service. Told my son that they do not take walk-ins. My son left and made an appointment online for an hour later. When my son returned, they had a nasty attitude and then told him that the guy he made an appointment with wasnt even there.Fix your online software to adequately represent the staff on duty, instead of offering bootleg, generic online software that just allows customers to make an appointment with every barber that works there, regardless if they are on duty or not.The bottom line is this: if you do not like what you do for a living, find a new profession! Do not be rude to the people who PAY you for a service or the people who are looking for a service in which you CLAIM to provide. If you do not change your ignorant, nasty, and unprofessional attitude or the barbers that are at this particular location, you will NOT stay in business long. People will surely take their money elsewhere to a better barber, who can provider better service and make customers feel welcomed!You are doing customers NO favors, when they PAY you! Its not a free service that you are providing. Even if it was, you still are to treat people with respect. Get over yourselves and learn to treat people the way you want to be treated. Act like businessmen instead of donkeys who were never taught appropriate mannerisms or the proper ethics on how to operate a business.

This was our first visit, and it was excellent. My 4.5 year old son has autism, and the last time I tried to have his hair cut, the woman couldnt even finish, and although I can do a plain buzz cut, his hair needed some professional help. I wanted to take him to a barber shop, thinking something different than a hair salon might be easier on him. We just walked in and were lucky to be seen right away. Im sorry I didnt get the gentlemans name, but he was great with my son. He was quick, efficient, and patient with him. For the first time, my son has perfectly trimmed hair and it looks great. I definitely plan on taking him back when he needs it, and when little brother is old enough, he will go there too!

Refused to cut my brothers hair just cause another relative left a bad review. We went back because my brother actually loved the way Kevin worked and we dont hold grudges or whatever. He should accept constructive criticism because itll help better the business. Why refuse a customer whos willing to come back and pay despite what happened before?

Do not make an appointment with Kevin. He told my son that he couldnt trim his hair unless he was going to pay another $25 because doing a face took 30 minutes and for another 30 minutes of his time we had to pay again. If Kevin only concentrated on cutting hair rather than chatting it up, he probably couldve done everything. The rates on the site doesnt specify that a haircut will cost a certain amount for every 30 minutes. That just makes Kevin seem like a sleepy sales person. Chop It Up you need to do something about this or you will lose lots of business. Theres a new barber that opened up directly across you guys next to 7-11, I think they would be happy to get business from your cusyomers.

Line up on beard and moustach and tapered the back Good company with good cuts. My barber was the second booth on the right with the stickers on his mirror. Felt bad i didnt get his name. When I came in with my younger cousin, the atmosphere was really chill. While we didnt have an appointment, one of the guys working there took him. The guy really took his time to take care of what my cousin really wanted. He teased my cousin a little saying after his haircut that all of the girls will be after him. Lol I really appreciate what that guy did for my younger cousin. I would recommend this place to anyone. :-D

Bad customer service and although I understand that the actions of the individual do not reflect Chop It Up and its staff at its entirety, but he does make the company look bad. All the negative reviews on your site call Kevin out by name. That is something to ponder. New Year. Drop the bad weight.

The barbers are very nice and thats why the rating is a 3 star rating. I got my sons hair cut at the end of May. I started to notice a patch on his neck behind his ear a few weeks later. I thought at first he may have vitalgo. It wasnt raised or anything. Now there are more patches and their going down his neck and I took him into his Doctor she checked and said it is a fungi and it most likely happened from the use of dirty clippers. Kevin cut my sons hair. I dont recall him cleaning his clippers after his client before my son. I wont be coming back or sending people there anymore.

Canceled on me last minute. I had a 10am appt and Rico cancelled for a toothache at 10am while I was waiting outside the locked door. The business was still closed and customers waiting outside at 1015. Very unprofessional.

I was online looking for a new Barber Shop. I found this place on Google and I liked the website so I called. An automated service machine said that I have to schedule an appointment on their website which I did. When I got there and it was time for my haircut, My barber was No- Where to be found so the guys just asked me to wait for him. After a few minutes I told them I dont care who cuts my hair but they still told me to wait for him even there were 2 free barbers. After a few more minutes I just walked out disappointed because they waisted my time. Unprofessional and iresponsible.

Haircut was okay, not the best Ive had. I had an appointment but still ended up waiting 35 minutes to get my hair cut. While I waited I watched walk-ins immediately get service. Hair cuts are extremely slow and behind schedule due to the fact that the barbers seem more interested in socializing and watching TV than getting a cut done. If youre going for the chatty barbershop atmosphere then this might be your place. If youre going to get a quality on time cut then go elsewhere.

I set an appointment online for 10a this morning for a first time kids cut. When I arrived at the shop nobody was there. No lights. No cars. I waited for about 10mins (I came around 945 to be safe) and still nobody. I called the barber and he said he was seconds away so I waited. He was very kind and had a great attitude. His coworker (the loud white guy) however, was very unprofessional and continued to interrupt the service to show our barber whatever he was laughing at on his phone. Completely unprofessional. Our barber, however, was very attentive to my son and patient to the fact that he was nervous. I was a little disappointed at the quality of the product he used. It was a heavy oil based custard that was way too heavy for my son’s hair type. I use that specific product for my daughter (purchased at Walmart) because she has really thick hair that absorbs moisture like crazy. My son has fine hair so that product made it oily and slick to his head. Being that this was our first cut I just waited to see how it would end up. I was a little confused when the barber continued to cut my son’s hair with this product in it. Because it was so oily there was no way to accurately see the differences in length all over his head. When we got him I immediately washed his hair and found that the cut was uneven all over his head and the line up was uneven as well. There were stray hairs, some as long as 1.5in. While I think the barber was very kind, I’m a little frustrated that I paid and even tipped for this service, only to wash it later and find that I would’ve used a guard and taken it down and lined it up myself for free. There was no fade. It was a simple one layered low cut. I might’ve been able to overlook some of the unprofessional issues, but not in addition to a sloppy cut. I was looking to find a consistent barber to see on a regular basis .. this was a Very Disappointing experience.

As a single mom who doesnt know how to handle black African American hair I was beyond pleased with the experience I had here. The vibe was great they took my 3 year old son in as a walk in and even though he didnt cut a lot off they still gave him a little lineup. Knowing how toddlers arent very still my son did cry but they were super patient with him.. one barber even gave him a lollipop then another one helped out in calming my son down. I absolutley loved the customer service they gave and would recommend any mom or parent to take their child here for a cut.. they are super awesome. Great staff. I wanted to keep my sons hair long so they recommended me to their woodinville shop if I wanted to dread my sons hair. Thanks for ur help CHOP IT UP! Really appreciated it.

Most of the barbers are really good and give decent cuts, but the place is a dump. Unfortunately you have to deal with barbers smoking weed just outside the door. And if you need to get your kids hair cut, go somewhere else. They play their music that contains completely inappropriate lyrics and converse with one another about things that little kids, or even adults shouldnt be hearing. Wouldnt go back.

Great hair cuts, but poor service and reliability is how Id describe my many cuts Ive had there. I originally sent there and dealt with the poor service/reliability because of the $10 happy hour, but that is now gone, so why would I deal with that when I can get just as good or a better hair cut with better service for the same price or cheaper? Id always book an appointment, but I would often have to wait 30 to 60 minutes because my barber was behind schedule, and it was often the barbers fault too. I had barbers show up late for appointments or not at all. I also had one start giving me a line up when I didnt ask for one. I knew where his razor was going (towards my widow s peak, which I wanted to keep), so I had to tell him to stop before he turned me into Klay Thompson. This same barber had also been asleep while in the shop in plain sight, and Ive even told him I was in a rush, and he would stop to watch a movie on TV that probably made the haircut 20 minutes longer than it needed to be. Id look elsewhere.

My daughter took her son here for his 3rd haircut. We were a walk-in and they had us in quickly. My grandson proceeded have a melt down, but Mervis (I hope I spelled that right) was great. With a squirmy, screaming kid he did amazing job. We will definitely be going back again.

They did a HORRIBLE job on my nephews hair. It was uneven as hell, one side longer than the other. Guess the name really does fit the CHOP job they will do on your hair. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A HAIR CUT youd be better off letting a 4 year old cut your hair.

Walked in the barber already had a guy in the chair. I was the only other person in there.i sat there for over 45 min and he was still trimming this guy.i finally left But I bet that guy got a hell of a haircut...but I didnt.no commebts,like I will be right with you or thanks for your patience...nothing.like I didnt exist.

Ridiculous, they took over an hour cutting my husbands hair and it was a simple cut that he always gets every other barber has done it in 20 mins. They charged him 30 dollars ! Thats a little expensive if you ask me. We will not be coming back . NOT to mention we had to go and get money out of the atm and pay additional fees for that because they dont take cards.

Visiting from California,I had some hesitation s getting my over do haircut from someone else,but my daughter in law suggested this place,barbers were cool and upfront about the policies about apppoinments etc.,I enjoyed the conversation and atmosphere.

Set up appointment via website for my son with Kevin. He was there unaware of the appointment due to the website. He walked away from my Son. Very rude. Had no other appointments waiting. Could juat give my Son the common decency to communicate to him. Just made him wait and did not get his haircut. 4th appointment for my Son thru the app. Twice barbers did not show up. No one offered to call or have him as a walk in!!! Then Kevin just plays a jerk to a customer!

Horrible customer service. Walked in and walked right out. This place is feeling themselves to much. I recommend you go to a place that treats like you should.

You can get a great line up, fade, beard style, or hair cut here but the customer service is god awful. Often times the website does not notify employees of appointments. Sometimes the employee you apparently made an appointment with isnt even working there that day. Its embarrassing for the owner to even call this a professional barbershop.
