The brake light started flashing in my 2015 Subaru Outback and the abs light was lit up so I took it to the dealership. They charged me $450 to diagnose a faulty Abs module and wanted another $950 to install it. I purchased a used one for $40 and Northwest Subie installed it for me for $330 only to find out my original abs module was functional and the dealership misdiagnosed the problem. Northwest Subie diagnosed a faulty speed sensor and didn’t charge me anything for the diagnosis. Zach also convinced me to call the dealership back and speak to a manager about the improper diagnosis which resulted in the dealership refunding me the $450. I purchased a new speed sensor from Northwest Subie and installed it myself in 15 minutes. I am extremely satisfied with this shop and the customer service is top notch.

NW Subie did a fantastic job after the radiator in my Forester blew. They kept me fully informed on what was happening, offered options when it turned out the heads needed to be replaced as well. They made sure I was aware of all the costs for each option and knew the pluses and minuses for each option. And they kept to the repair timeline they gave me. I will definitely use them again!

Professional, knowledgable (they are walking textbooks on everything Subaru), experienced, honest. We picked up our car yesterday and have already recommended them to many other Subaru owners. Theyve earned our business!

Took my 2004 forester xt for a timing related issue. Zach and Michael are super nice and knowledgeable, we discussed possible causes for the issue I was experiencing and we came up with game plan to replace the timing components that had possibly failed. Once they started the repair it was discovered that my turbo was on its way out. They provided pictures of the issues found and made recommendations for further repairs while the engine was dismantled. All small parts that had failed or were about to fail that needed replacement. I went forward with the replacement of these parts because I enjoy this car very much and I want it to be reliable. They offered me a loaner car while mine was in the shop. I didnt need it as I am fortunate enough to have a beater that I can use as a second car. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the service and communication I recieved from this shop and plan to service my car there again when the next repair comes along.

One thing that defines every relationship is communication. When regardless of the amount of money your spending its helpful to know whats going on with the item in question. As a dealer I have numerous cars that are going to shops and getting repaired. I was very impressed with their communication I was called on each step and it was done at a fantastic price. Highly recommend this shop as someone who has multiple cars at various shops around the community every day I will be bringing all my Subarus here from now on.

Even though I was a few minutes late to my appointment due to traffic, Michael and Zack were very understanding, friendly, and got me right in. I’ve had a problem with my car intermittently not starting, and shutting down after starting, for over a year now. I have taken it to other shops multiple times to diagnose the problem, but never found an answer. Northwest Subie Specialists found the problem right away, and now my car is running great. Zack and Michael explained everything before they proceeded with work, and provided pictures of the problem as well. They were communicative and easy to work with. They also provided me with a free loaner car. I will definitely be bringing my Subaru back to them!

I purchased a 2006 Tribeca from Lang Autosports 11-9-19 for 5K cash. Within 300 miles (2 weeks) it started overheating. The coolant smelled like exhaust and there was particulates floating in it. I parked the car before it red lined and had it towed to Northwest Subie Specialists in Everett. The head gaskets were blown. These guys went through the car and found everything wrong with it and everything good about it. They seam to know all the Subaru quirks by year and model. The car runs like new now. I wish I had them look at it before I purchased the car. Best experience dealing with a repair shop. They communicated well during repairs with pictures. Would definitely recommend.

Ive had my car at other shops for diagnostics and they charged me 100 dollars PER HOUR for it. These guys are different. Ill be coming to them for everything i wont be doing on my own from now on! May even have them build my engine down the road here.

If you own a Subaru and are looking for an honest repair shop with fair prices, talented mechanics and a commitment to provide great service, this is the place!Brought my Subaru in for the flat-fee diagnosis because it was making a nasty noise that I assumed was serious. Turned out to be a minor problem that they repaired for no additional charge. But they didn’t stop there. They inspected the entire car and wrote a detailed report complete with pictures of the more serious issues that could become problems down the road. And as if that wasn’t enough, they fixed 4 other minor problems with no additional labor costs and only charged me for one part at a very fair price (checked online). Oh yeah, it only took about 3 hours. Hands down the best car repair experience I’ve ever had. Thanks!

Had a head gasket go out on my saab 9-2x aka saabaru. They were able to replace my head gaskets, timing belt, and wheel bearings. I had the car back and running in just a couple days. Since the work was done I have put over 100k miles on the car and it is still running strong. Great service at a great price. Highly recommend.

Zach knows his Subarus and the common problems that plague them. Went in because my power steering was whining and I had a small oil leak on the driver side. Thinking it was the head gasket. Was only an oil pressure switch and a vacuum hose on the power steering. We talked after I picked up my car and told him if I went anywhere else they would have told me that Id need to replace both the pump and head gasket. In this case with his knowledge of the brand it was a very pleasant experience and didnt break the bank. I will trust him and his team with my car till it cant run anymore.
