While Im not very pleased with the final product (which had to be entirely re-done), the sales people and installers are all very nice.
We used bath fitter once, and they keep getting our order wrong the same thing wrong 4 times already. 1 day, done by 1 professional. How about 4 weeks done by 7 professionals. This is ridiculous, they are so unprofessional and they say they put it right over the old one?? NOPE THEY GUTTED THE WHOLE TUB OUT!!!!!!!! Yeah it looks good but it is not worth it. You have to spray your shower with water and vinegar and to clean it you have to get a special form of cleaner, you cant use normal cleaners on it. Not recommend using, horrible... DISAPPOINTING
Showed up late after a 10 week wait. Then had the wrong materials to do the job. They have the absolute worst customer service. Would highly recommend that you use someone else.Losers..
We traveled an hour & the local salesperson did not keep our 2nd appointment. Additionally, he appeared knowledgeable, but when the non local installer came, we realized how the salesperson had mis informed us. Happy with product. Very happy with installer (think his name was Adam)
I would recommend bath fitter for the end product. I would also advise that the install process could go longer than expected, check for leaks and flaws when work is done and be prepared to drive the communication process. Planning a job needs to be realistic, not everything can be done in one day. I dont want somebody in my house until 9-10 at night when i have kids that want to play/eat/sleep.Pros:-The finished shower looks great.-Evansville manager Ken is an honest person that made sure issues were corrected. Ken offered a discount to make up for the issues during the process.-An issue was found with the original install, those issues were corrected.Cons:-The Evansville office is not good at communicating. I had to initiate every conversation. I had to call them to set up and verify appointments.-The first installers ran into issues, took short cuts and left me with an unusable shower. The first job went from 830 in the morning to 945 at night. This should have been planned as a two day job.-I did not have a shower for 3 weeks due to the poor job on the first install, then trying to get someone from bath fitter to my house to check the installers work, then ordering a new door took a week.
10/13 - UPdate: Bath-fitters did respond to our phone calls and provided the remaining refund amount that was agreed upon.Original review - I have to echo the sentiments of the person who said the Evansville franchise is not good at communicating. We used bathfitters to cover the floor of our shower to resolve a cosmetic issue. The estimator described a floor that would be custom-made pan to fit our shower. He even took measurements to make sure it would clear the marble threshold. We scheduled vacation to be home at the time when the installation was to happen. Since we had not gotten a confirmation, we called to make sure they would be there on the date promised. We were then told it wasnt going to happen on that day. This was resolved after escalating our concern. When the day arrived, the installer showed up with a piece of resin that he cut to size in our driveway. We werent familiar with how the installation was to be done, but after it was finished, it was not at all what were were expecting. There was no effort by the company to communicate in advance that they werent going to do what they promised. After it was finished, we were not pleased, but upon calling the owner, he explained that this type of installation would be guaranteed not to leak whereas the previous method could not be guaranteed. We felt that $1850.00 was a bit expensive for what we got. Ken listened and agreed and said that he would refund part of our money and said it would be 20-25% of the total cost. We then stated 25% would be acceptable and he did not dispute it. This happened on 8/14 and by 8/31, we had not received a refund. We contacted Ken and asked where the 25% refund was and he promptly replied that he would follow up. On September 10 we still had not received it. On September 17 we reached out again and on September 24 we received a refund of $370.00 which is a 20% refund, not the 25% that we had agreed upon. We contacted him on 9/24 to question why he didnt honor the full amount of the agreement and here it is 10/6 and we still have not heard back from him. We were clear in our expectation of a 25% refund when he stated a range of 20% - 25%. If he did not intend to refund what we expected, the time to tell us was when we stated our expectation. This could have been an honest mistake on his part, but the fact that he is not communicating with us after multiple attempts to reach him does not indicate that he is interested in resolving this dispute over a 5% difference. We would not recommend Bathfitters, especially not the Evansville franchise.
Had what needed good selection
