I have been a customer with Double Eagle for the last five years while using different insurance companies through their brokerage. State Auto is currently who my coverage is through. About two months ago, I had a windshield break on my car and the deductible was $500. I was unaware of the deductible being that high for a windshield, but the claim was already filed so I paid it. During the process of my windshield claim, I called Nick (my agent) looking to change the deductible for glass incase this ever happened again.Nick told me that there was a total glass endorsement that was available and with this, it would only raise my bill $12 a month. If the unforeseen ever happened again, breaking a windshield, I would have to pay nothing. Deductible would be $0 because of the total glass endorsement.Fast forward to several weeks ago, My windshield breaks again from debris on a vehicle in front of me. I called Nick, explaining what happens and he tells me he will start the claim. I ask is there a deductible, and he tells me yes, $500. I remind him of the conversation, and he begins to tell me that my windshield isnt covered. That endorsement wont cover it and I have to pay $500. I challenge it, and he is suppose to call me back in two days. However, almost a week later, I call him and he tells me my claim was denied and I have to pay the $500. He went through the proper channels and there is nothing he can do.I am blown away that loyalty no longer exists and the poor service I was given. I have been a customer for over 5 years, and asked NICK what would be the best solution, and this was his recommendation! After following what he told me, the supposed professional, I am now screwed. This matter was not handled in a professional manner. Our conversations were full of him denying things that he had told me over the phone. At the end of the day, I am completely blown away at how I have been treated. How could someone recommend and tell a customer this is what your endorsement covers, then when its time to use it, oh wait, your endorsement doesnt cover. Mind you, I never got an email or anything stating what this service covered. The cost should totally be absorbed by Double Eagle, because they told me all was good!I called State Auto directly and they informed me it was an error on the agent’s behalf. He signed me up for Total Glass but didn’t select yes for windshield replacement. They also told me they sent step by step instructions (with names of people) on how to reverse the action and sent it to the local Double Eagle office. However it was up to them to pursue it. Ahren and his team hasn’t done anything about.I do not recommend them as a brokerage for insurance! I called Ahren the CEO and left him a voicemail, he never responded.
I recently had a tree limb fall and puncture my garage roof, so I messaged my agent (Nick Helmbrecht) to ask about coverage. He started the claim process around 10am on a Monday morning, and by 2pm the following Wednesday I had a new roof on my garage! He was extremely helpful throughout the process, and the turn-around time was unbelievable. On top of that, their rates are almost 1/3rd of what I was paying to my previous insurer. I cannot recommend them enough!
Double Eagle Insurance has been great to deal with the past 6 years. With a recent change to our auto insurance, they saved us $500 for the year!
When my grandson needed help with Indiana Health Care Erica came to the rescue, she wrote letters, put us in contact with all the right people. Navigating the HIP Insurance is not for the weak, but thank you Erica at Double Eagle you made it so much easier and my grandson now has health, dental and vision coverage at a premium he can afford.
A great plan for you to take care of all your insurance needs. Very personal service too.
