I made my appointment for annual furnace maintenance with Evans Mechanical about 3 weeks in advance as they have a full schedule. I was pleased when Braden showed up wearing a mask. My furnace is in the attic so he quietly brought in a ladder along with his tools. He finished in around a half an hour. Thanks to his business pad computer, I was able to easily pay him with my credit card. Overall, I would say he was very considerate and answered all my questions. Thumbs up to Evans Mechanical.

I had Evans Mechanical swap out my old gas furnace for a new electric heat pump. They handled everything including the electrical panel upgrade, the heat pump installation, sealing all of my ducting to meet new energy standards, and installation of my Nest thermostat. They were right in schedule when it came time to my installation and the price was exactly what they quoted me. I did need to have the guys come out one time after the install to fix an odd setting, but the system is now working beautifully and I’m very grateful for the top quality work.

Evans mechanical changed my family’s life! For 19 years we have used wood as our primary source of heat, often dreaming of forced air. We called Evans mid-September of this year for a quote and Joe came up and explained our best options. We went with the heat pumps because forced air duct work wasnt really an option for us. By the 1st week of October Justin and Thomas set to work in some extremely challenging conditions with our house. They plowed through every issue and had us up and running with a new heating system installed in our house in just 4 days! The minute Justin turned on the heater for the first time and we saw how fast and warm it put out heat we were totally amazed! We still are. For the last 2 months we have woken up to a warm house and have come home to a warm house. Believe me when I tell you, this has been completely lifechanging for our family. We’ve had the system now for 2 months and we have looked at our PGE kilowatt hour usage and have found that it has only increased slightly. This high-tech system has been the greatest improvement we have done for our home in 23 years of “fixer upper.” I had no idea it could even be this good. We are so grateful to Evans Mechanical and their professional crew for doing everything they said they would and for treating us like we were the most important customers in the world. I had a furnace and guest house heater serviced as they were not working. Evans Mechanical was very professional, fixed everything in a timely manner and explained what the problem was. Both heaters are working fabulously. Very impressed with how courteous the staff is!

Needed a few mini-split units fixed that were displaying a trouble code and they still wanted $97.00 a unit to just look at what is already displayed. Will never use this business, and on top of it they are NOT agriculture friendly. Hope that works out for you.

Justin and Dylan came out and put in a forced air heating system. They were on time all three days and worked til 6 and 7 pm the first two days! They were very professional, they explained what they were doing, and were friendly. At the end they even spray painted the piece of plywood that went under the floor furnace grate so that it would blend in better with the hardwood floor. I will definitely use them again if the need arises!

The heat exchanger, a basic essential of a forced air home furnace, stopped working on our 3-yr-old furnace. This unusual situation required substantial testing and finally total replacement of the furnace with a new top of the line furnace. In addition to this problem, our thermostat, which was also relatively new, did not communicate effectively with the new furnace and also had to be replaced. Evans Mechanical replaced all these pieces of equipment without charge. It is true that a few of the basic furnace parts were under warranty, but the labor hours, multiple trips to our home, and programming of the new thermostat certainly could have been billed to us. But all was done for free. We are deeply grateful to Evans Mechanical for their friendly and thorough work and their financial generosity to us, and we most highly recommend them!

Very pleased with the service we have consistently received for over 18 years and at several houses which included a complete replacement of existing heater with new duct work and new high efficiency heater with four separate heating zones at one location. Prompt response and scheduling along with well trained and efficient technicians. Pleasant and efficient of staff!

I own an Orchids For The People in McKinleyville and we depend on the heaters in the greenhouses to keep it warm. Our heater malfunctioned during the first cold snap of the year and Evans came out the same day and repaired it in 1 visit. Braden, the on-site technician, was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Saved me from another Sleepless night!

I heard this place was expensive but was not prepared for what they quoted me...... unbelievable. I wanted them to install the smallest on demand water heater they had. The guy said it was going to be 4 to 5 thousand, the heater only costs 1 thousand...... i laughed and laughed........ then left.

We had the Evans Crew here yesterday, Big Joe, Justin, Dillion, Ethan, they were under the house, in the house, in the attic, and on the roof. They installed a new tankless hot water heater and were the best crew I have ever seen work together, and and left the house clean. I getting ready to install a new furnace and I am looking for the same crew to come back. Evans Mechanical were very workable with scheduling in regards to my work schedule. They were professional and got the job done in the time they stated.

They changed a pellet stove installation into a Vermont Castings propane.stove installation, using the existing insulated chimney pipe. They were not cheap, but we have a push bottom super hot propane stove that’s been installed right.

Justin came out to take a look at my furnace - it suddenly stopped working while I was doing a backsplash tile job in my kitchen. I had to turn off the electricity in order to work around one of the outlets. When I turned the electricity on again, the thermostat did not come on. Justin asked me a lot of questions about what/why I had been done just before the issue with the thermostat. Honestly, I was thinking what does this have to do with my furnace...Justin immediately diagnosed the problem and everything was working perfectly in just minutes. He is very professional and pleasant - what a great representative for Evans Mechanical. He is a keeper!

Sadly, I cannot recommend Evans Mechanical. I had some heater work done and some additional duct sealing was also needed, but could not be done for 9 weeks. The tech that repaired the heater(he did a good job), spoke on the phone right in front of me with the scheduler and placed me on the schedule for the first week of February, 2018. Since they hadnt called me prior to this week, I called Evans to only find out I was never put on the schedule at all. I was then told I would need to be put back on the schedule for another months wait. The scheduler acted like it was my fault, no apology. Needless to say, I am not pleased at all.

On time (early, even - now THATS amazing for Humboldt...) did the work briskly, great job.

The crew from Evans Mechanical cleaned all of my ductwork, taped and replaced the insulation, and installed a new Bryant furnace. They did all of this in one day, a Monday, after I accepted their bid the Friday before! From start (the estimate) to finish (the clean up), these guys are first class. Everything was conducted in an open, professional manner. I knew exactly what I was getting, had choices presented, and knew all of the costs up front. My friends who also own an HVAC company looked at Evans bid, and although it was not the lowest, they said definitely go with these guys. And they are Lennox dealers! I was not disappointed, and was touched by the gift they left behind. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!

We had a terrfic experience! They installed a new furnace and while doing so they ran into many unforseen issues. They did all the extra work and didnt charge anything additional. The price we paid was exactly what the original estimate was. The employess put in overtime and were all very professional and awesome. The installation looks perfect! Weve used Evans in the past, and will never hesitate to use or recommend them again. We couldnt be happier with the service we received. Evans Mechanical was thorough and professional.

Scheduled a consultation for central air 3 weeks out, got the first available saturday. Took time off work, needless to say no one showed up, I tried calling found out theyre closed on Saturday. Tried the emergency line just in the off chance they ignore their office line and no one picked that up either.Anyways nothing like wasting part of my Saturday.
