If I could give this salon six stars, I would. I went in looking for hand-drawn lace art for my nails for my wedding day, and I was blown away. Kim is an amazing nail artist. I brought in a photo of what I was looking for and she matched it impeccably. They also have over a hundred nail colors to choose from, and everyone at the salon is so friendly. If you’re looking for detailed nail art, this is the place. Thank you Kim!

I loved all the pics listed on google….so I figured I would try it for first time and my nails were not cured all the way stuff is sticking to them there all lumpy and thick there is missing chunks of acrylic not even at all and there all different lengths and not the shape I asked for for $56 I would expect them to look better then me letting a child do them… very disappointed and will never come back to this place. Once was enough!

Andy was very professional during the pedicure. He made sure the water temperature was okay and that I was comfortable. It had been over a year since my last professional pedicure. It was so nice to relax and feel pampered. Now my feet look and feel amazing! Thank you, Andy!

Very professional and good service. Everytime I can I go to get my nails done there. I have seen they have multiple designs for people looking for creative nails. I love their gel nail options. They last a while and there is a 7 day guarantee on them.

I randomly decided to do some self care and went to get a pedicure.Casey was my tech and she was so rad! On top of making sure I was totally comfortable, we chatted like we were buddies.I’ll definitely be going back next time I need another pick-me-up!

I was hesitant to come here after reading some less-than-great reviews but Im so glad I did! I got a very relaxing pedicure from Chi, and the next day Nicole gave me a PERFECT gel manicure, my first one! Its been two weeks and my manicure is still perfect, even after a few shifts back at work bartending. Im thrilled with it. Nicole was super friendly and informative and did such a fantastic job. Im glad to have a go-to nail spot in Eugene, finally :)

I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. I have been going to this salon for more than 6 years. They are the sweetest people. I have gone to other salons if I were out of town and regretted it every time. I absolutely love going to Modern. They are amazing. AND free Wine. I’m all for it!!!

Ive been getting my nails done elsewhere for ages now and have never been too thrilled with the results. This last time was the last straw and, per a rec from a stranger, I tried Modern Nail. Taylor did a SUPERB job and its safe to say, shes my new nail tech. Im super excited for my next fill!

Today I saw Taylor for a gel manicure and I am thoroughly impressed. She was extremely professional, personable and detail oriented! I loved the atmosphere in the salon and loved my visit here. 10/10 recommend!

I love they do hard gel. Kim is very gental. When I first came in my nails were in bad shape and they hurt. She was able to do a hard gel layover without tips. They looked great.

Loved all my experiences up until today. My nails look awful. She applied everything way too thick. It’s spilling on to my skin. None of them are the same shape or length. There’s stuff under the polish that you can see. It’s very upsetting to spend 2 hours there and pay 50 dollars for something you want to take off not even 30 minutes after getting it done. This appointment for sure was a waste of money. I would recommend Jackie however, he did an amazing job the last time I went in. I booked a full with him but had to come in sooner so they scheduled me with Louisa. Should have kept the appointment with Jackie.EDIT!!!!Besides my one bad experience, this salon is amazing! Kim truly cares about all of her customers! This is long overdue but after my terrible experience I called back and let them know what happened, how I didn’t say anything when I was there due to feeling awkward since the lady doing my nails was in hearing distance of me but they apologized and let me come in to have the bad set removed and had my favorite nail tech at the time, Jackie do a full new set for me free of charge! Everyone is so kind and always greets you with a smile! I can’t rave about this place enough! I even recommend them to my friends and family on the coast! I wouldn’t trust any other salon with my nails!

I have NEVER had a set or even a nail design I did not absolutely love....even if I didnt, they would gladly make it right! I just tell my tech to hence chin with the mail art/design and I am pleasantly surprised each and every time., including my wedding day nails..... I will never go anywhere else!!!

Made an appointment and when I got there (on time) she said she was finishing up with another client. I ended up leaving after an over 30 minutes of waiting because I was going to be late for my plans. Not happy.

I have been going to modern for over three years, when Emily opened it. I was extremely happy with them for a long time. However, I just recently had a really disturbing experience, that has prompted me to do a Google review for the first time. I was given a gift card for my birthday for a gel manicure here. I made the appointment with whoever was available, and didnt worry about it. The tech was very friendly and I enjoyed our time together, but a week later it was growing out. With gel polish if you paint over the cuticles it grows out, leaving these sharp brutal edges that get painfully caught in your hair and anything else fine enough to get stuck in between the polish and nail. So, knowing that they like to be sure everyone is happy with their manicure, I called to make an appointment to get them fixed with my favorite technician, Emily. She looked at them and then at me and seemed put out. She fixed them in under 40 min and charged me $20. I had no problem paying her for her time since that manicure lasted the full three weeks it was supposed to. What I had a problem with is the fact that the owner, Kim, felt the need to lean over while working on her own clients nails to tell me that Im too picky and that Im not allowed to see anyone else but Emily. OK. I wont come back. So I went to a different salon, and got the worst manicure ever, so I swallowed my pride, called Modern and made an appointment with Louisa, who Ive never had a problem with. They called me back ten minutes later and told me they didnt want me in. I have referred tons of business, and all of my family goes there. Ive been going for over three years and came in three times to have something fixed, but apparently that is too much, and they are doing so well they can tell people not to come back. Thats fine, but I can do the same. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! It is a shame, and I am heart broken. I guess quality doesnt mean anything anymore. You pay 40 dollars and you be happy with what you get is the mentality I guess.

Great place for being pampered. There are new owners, so prior bad reviews should be disregarded. They are cheerful, knowledgeable about all things nails. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been to so many places to get acrylics done, and I have been less than satisfied with all of them. When you pay for a full set, and within a week you lose two or three nails, you begin to lose hope.... until you come to Modern Nail Salon. I saw Kim, and she assured me that I would not have a problem... its been over two weeks and she was DEAD RIGHT! I havent had any lifting or lost any nails. They are the most perfectly shaped, painted and strong set I have EVER received and my nails are long. Ive tried dozens of places... and this takes the cake.When I walked in, I was with my children, and flustered after a difficult day at work. They immediately asked me if I wanted a glass of wine while I waited and picked my polish colors. Saviors....You can tell the staff loves working there; everyone was chatting and smiling, and playful banter (in English) was all around. It was the most comfortable and at home Ive ever felt in a salon. No corralled or rushed feeling to be found, or wondering if they are talking about you in another language! Kim and I had a lovely conversation, my kids were angels, and I cannot wait for my next appointment any day now. Oh, and the Nail art and designs are amazing!

Ok, so bottom line, this salon SUCKS! I had an appointment for a manicure and a pedicure. I told him what I wanted and he said that he couldnt do that. It was a simple polish job with some decorative glitter. Then he begins painting my nails a color that he choose. When I told him I didnt want that color, he stated that it doesnt matter what you want, its what I can do. Then to the pedicure, he rushed through the foot bath and tells me in the middle of it that he doesnt have time to do a pedicure - only a polish. Obviously, this guy had NO time management skills. He was stressed out because another one of his clients came in during my manicure. He told me that he, missed out on another client because of you. He was completely UNPROFESSIONAL!! If he didnt have enough time, he needs to schedule people differently. This appointment was a big deal because it was for a wedding. He was a total douche and I WILL NEVER go back to this shop again!!! Beware folks!After reading the reviews, it sounds like the man is the one who needs to go find another job!!!

Ive been going to Modern Salon for the past 8 years for acrylic nails, waxing, manis and pedis. Even being on its third owner, the service has never been disappointing. I personally like going to May and Kayla for my acrylics but all of the techs do an excellent job. I highly recommend this salon and all of its services!
