This is a family owned business that is truly a ‘Mom and Pops’ shop. Both owners are trained impeccably in the dying art of brass and woodind repair. They are both horn players and parents with an obvious love and respect for student and professional players alike. Not only do you support local business when renting or repairing instruments here, you also support multi cultural family owned business 👍🏾

The owner is great! He has encouraged my daughter every single time we have been in there. We rented a sax and had a small issue with it, took it in and in 5 minutes he had it fixed with a smile!

OHJ at Eugene Music is a very nice and knowledgeable guy. The store has many parts and instruments in stock. Im sure if they dont have it, they can find it for you! They can repair and clean most musical instruments. Great local store and people.

My daughter was super careful with her instrument that she rented from this store. It broke in half only a couple months into the school year. Even her music teacher had insisted that this breakage was NOT my daughters fault. He said there was a hairline fracture in the instrument that was missed upon inspection when the instrument was checked out to her. The owner of the shop appeared to be listening, however it just seemed as if he wasnt interested in the explanation. It didnt change anything when we told him what happened.The repair also took about 4 weeks. He would not give us another rental instrument. He had promised us the instrument would be ready by a certain date. It was two weeks late and he never once reached out to let us know. It was not until after our daughters teacher emailed him that he just gave us a new instrument. Very poor customer service.We will NEVER use Eugene Music again. We highly recommend anyone looking to rent equipment to find other music stores in Eugene.

I dont know how is the service in this store, but today Tuesday 2/21/2017 the clerk of the store left a note on the door that says back in 5 minutes... I have been here since 12:00 pm and is 12:40 and he or she is not back . This is the second time that I come to the Eugene Music at store hours and nobody is here, also me and my husband left messages on the answering machine and neither of us had a call back yet. My son has been without an instrument for 2 weeks because the lack of responsibility and respect for the costumer.A suggestion: dont leave a be back in 5 minutes note if you are not going to do it. Also if you are so busy do consultations by appointment so dont waist peoples time when they show up during store hours.

The owner held onto 3 appraisals for over six weeks and never even started appraising ANY of them! I spoke to him 4 weeks into this process, letting him know Im on a time crunch and if hes unable to do the appraisals Ill have to take them somewhere else. He assured me theyd be done in a week. I live an hour outside of Eugene, so I called and left a message the day before I came up to get them. I came to pick them up and he listed excuses why he didnt get them done. He told me he needed to prioritize his work and my appraisals were not important. Wow, next time prioritize customer service.

The guy that owns the place does a great job. It is just him and he is wonderful very impressed!
