If you really need counseling asap they take walk-ins. You will be forced to wear a mask. If you need to drink water or blow your nose you have to step outside. Pretty silly this late in the pandemic if you ask me. I went here in late Feb and they weren’t so strict then. Writing this in late April ‘21.Nice people!
The entire staff was excellent, caring, and kind. The on staff counsellor Brett Clark was in particular wonderful. He helped me through a very dark time I was experiencing and didnt mind at all spending several hours over night helping me. 10/10 would recommend.
A great recourse for anyone that needs a safe place to go. The staff are very welcoming and compassionate. The moment I walked in I felt safe. I feel better knowing I always have a place to go and relax and they always have someone you can talk to.
Its good environmentally. But, the staff acted really nice when I first got here. Some of them changed when I came back. I just want the truth. When I said Id do something, I did it. But, when they agreed on something I asked, they didnt. It upset me. Little things add up to big things.
!!!!!! Seek professional help elsewhere!!!!!!!!!Tiffany is a terrible person and works at the wrong place. Staff is pretty unprofessional, you can find better people to talk to on the streets. If you are highly volatile this is not the place for you. If you are suicidal this place will make you want to end it.!!!!!!!! Seek professional help elsewhere!!!!!!!!!
I went there for support that they said was confidential and voluntary. After I left they called the cops and hunted down my address to send Cahoots to my door. A painful day was made so much worse by my neighbors getting to see where the crazy person lives. If you enjoy getting police involvement when you reach out for help, this is the place for you. I will never set foot in there again.
I am so grateful that there is a place like this. I didnt know how much I needed some time to think about my life and was given exactly that! Thanks for being there!
Quiet. Peaceful. Comforting. Mostly... Non-judgemental. Depends on which counselor. Sav d me and who knows who from my worst on several occasions. Not enough though, like everything in this racket world, a band-aid on a gapng wound... Bucjs for non-solutions that mitigate and control but never come close to answering the injustice at the root... Never questioning the corruption of having a group of well paid professionals dependant on the continued misery of an endless stream of garbage people, the vagabonds, the homeless, the wasted, the untouchables. We, those hurt and broken people provide good steady incomes for a self-congratulatory army of helpers whose job is to administer just enough care to spit us back out to twist in the cold rain and burning sun naked with our demons forever.
Really cozy. I was not in a good place so I came here for a night. It was good to have someone there to talk multiple times during the night when I felt in crisis. And you get to keep your phone. Its not like the Behavioral Health Unit. They have snacks there too and plenty of bottled water. The only complaint I have was the paper towel dispenser was broken and there should be disinfectant wipes in the bathroom.
I have stayed there quite a few times and most of the times its been good. But sometimes its isnt it.
Great place to go if you need to talk with someone this is a mental health crisis center ..
Crisis help when you need it. Staff is helpful and caring.
A stop gap between the emergency room and psych ward. If in crisis you can rest and relax and theres non stop staff on duty to talk to
Very much needed
They let me use their restroom
