Recently I attended a class called Get Found on Google Search & Maps through The Lane Community College Small Business Development Center. The instructor of this two hour class, Nick Wiley, was the best! The subject matter was new to me, but I wasnt made to feel intimidated by it at all. Our instructor was extremely knowledgable and personable. He was very open to answering the specific questions of his students, and to making himself available for further assistance. You can tell that this instructor enjoys teaching and helping others succeed. I highly recommend this instructor and this class.

They offer free one-on-one business advising, classes, training, workshops, and more. If you are looking to start or grow your business you definitely need to check them out.

As a start up small business I was looking forward to help and guidance. I made an appointment, made sure I was 15 mins early only to find a darkened room. Found someone and she turned the lights on. 15 mins later she told me my point of contact wasnt aware of my appointment and could I come back some other time. Not how I want to learn how to do business. I feel cheated, the 2 hours I wasted could have been better spent doing something productive, you know like running my business.
