This shop was a life saver and Tom was amazing! We got stranded and these guys went above and beyond to help us and get us back on the road! If you want good service from a shop whos employees care, this is the place for you!
A full service automotive garage closed Sat and Sun. A friendly place without the constant pressure to replace obscure parts that you didnt even know were on your car. Tom speaks to you like he knows youre not a mechanic. He will tell you anything you want to know about your transmission, your engine or your repairs. I actually understood some of what he was saying. Their prices are fair but most of all you can trust them. They are still old fashioned enough that they want you to be a return customer.
The people were generous with their time and did not charge a diagnostic fee for checking on my transmission slip going on along with a hesitancy changing gears. We were travelling from Michigan on vacay and was worried about travelling back home. Left not paying a thing, but ackknowlegement of what happened when it did. HONEST SHOP! Thanks GUYS!
Very good service and kept me informed about the car
Was promised my car 7-14 days its been a month...still not finished!! Rude employees especially Tom
Dealing with warranty companies are a challenge and as difficult as it was they got it worked out. I trust their workmanship know by observing that they do good quality work.
Tried to tell me something was wrong when there wasnt.
Had a CVT transmission replaced here and saved $7 to 800 over a dealer, friendly and knowledgeable folks.
They did a great job on 1985 corvette. Job well done and much respect the price was just about right as well
Very satisfied with the job that was done
Very pleased with the fast friendly helpful service I recieved
I was so impressed with Tom. I called & he got me in immediately then called me about 15 mins later to tell me the problem. The communication was awesome - Tom called a couple of times to update me on the status of my Jeep. He even helped me navigate the payment options. I hope Tom receives the acknowledgement he deserves. We need more people like Tom in customer service.
You guys are fast friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to transmission repairs. Thanks again Tom and the rest of your crew for taking such good care of me while I was on my trip and needed an unexpected and inexpensive repair.
Didnt visit
Great place for a new transmission.. Fred and Tom very helpful.Great fair price.. Would defintley reccommend.. Thanks guys..😁😁
My husband and I accidentally put too much oil in our car and it had been leaking out on the driveway. When we started it up to put it on ramps to change the oil ourselves, the car had gone up in white smoke and needless to say, wasnt safe to move it to a shop. We called around and AAMCO was our choice of shop. We had it towed there and discussed with Kevin that we needed an oil change and the radiator flushed. He had told us that they would inspect it with all the problems we said we were having. He was very kind and professional, seemed to be very knowledgeable. He later called us back to let us know that the problems we were having, it had affected the motor and it would cost too much to fix. He had already done the oil change and when we went to go pay him, he had told us that it was of no charge. We cant get our car towed from AAMCO for a day or two, and they said it was perfectly fine. I definitely recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their vehicles. They are reasonable with pricing and are very polite. We will be going back for sure!!
Thank you hope to see you soon understand why people keep recommending you get what you pay for
Good experience! 2000 Honda Accord needed transmission work. I thought of AAmco first, and cannot say it without thinking the beep beep from the commercials. Kevin insisted on an inspection before recommending any work. Had the rebuild the trans and would do it again. Courteous and friendly, kept to the quote. Did a 1000 mile check and cleaned out some dust in it. Because of their service and professionalism, I took the car back a week later to have the rear bearings replaced. Again, honest quote and good work. Highly recommend!
DO NOT do business with this place unless you want to get ripped off bad....look at the BBB previous complaints, these guys will make repairs with out your consent and then charge you a arm and leg! I had my vehicle towed there on 08/18 and had very vague communication from them all day 08/19, was given a range of cost and I advised DO NOT work on my car til I had a solid number....had no communication all day and then they called me at 5pm to tell me the car was repaired and to charge me about triple of what I would of paid had I went somewhere else...I fell victim to all the nice reviews and did not receive any good service what so ever!!!
I asked AAMCO to tow my vehicle from the Cincinnati airport and take a look at it. The repair sounded like it was going to be complicated, and I wanted my local mechanic to be able to look at it, so I towed it back to Columbus myself. Even though they were not getting my repair business, I was blown away by how helpful AAMCO was in bailing me out when I needed help at the airport. If I needed a repair in the area again, I would go to them without hesitation.
Tom was great.Thanks. ✌️🤣👣
Not happy with customer service, The shop area seemed very disorganized.
My brother and I love this place thank u
Aamco has a good reputation for a reason. They diagnose your car for free, they give you a good price, with a guarantee, and they fix your car in a timely fashion. Wouldnt take my car anywhere else.
Thank u so much for your help
Fred has helped in every way with getting my transmission fixed.i highly recommend AAMCO to everyone
Professional, courteous, and excellent work. The shop owner even went out of his way to pick me up at my home and drive me to the shop to pick up my Jeep when it was ready. You dont see that kind of service every day!
Many, many problems. Short review: Dont go here. If you do, check EVERYTHING twice.Long Review (2k miles after the trans rebuild):1.) CHECK your warranty paperwork. The warranty paperwork showed the rounded off (down) mileage (according to them) so they essentially gave me a warranty for miles I had already driven.2.) All the work for my Explorer was done at this location despite being dropped off in Middletown. I was told it would be trailered down but the mileage reflected it was driven. When I got the truck back the first time it showed 100 miles more than the paperwork showed that they had gotten in at. When I raised this issue, they said it was only 36 miles both ways (72 miles), So that means #1 is true.3.) Check Engine Light came on 5 mins after I got it back. Scan tool showed a O2 sensor. Looked at the O2 sensor and it had a broken wire. I raised the issue with the shop and they agreed to fix it. I should not have had to raise the issue, it should have been fixed.4.) Apparently the vertical bolts supporting the transmission cross member are notorious for snapping off in the frame. This happened on mine as well. The shop saw fit to do nothing about that and rely on the 4 horizontal bolts to support the driveline. I was told about the bolts snapping but I was also told it was fixed. I brought this to their attention and they fixed it as well. If you have a 3rd gen Explorer repaired by this shop, check your transmission cross member for all the bolts!~Normally I wouldnt raise these next 2 issues but given the lack of care for my vehicle they seem pertinent.5.) Immediately after delivery I could tell the truck was braking differently. I was getting the pulsating feedback from when the rotors are warped. I was not like this when I dropped it off (I just had them done 3k miles before this). I dont have any direct evidence that supports that they damaged it but I know the condition changed while in their care.6.) Immediately after delivery I started getting a grinding when making a left turn. Root cause ended up being the front wheel bearing. Again, I just had these done in March (2k miles on the repair). I dont have any direct evidence that supports that they damaged it but I know the condition changed while in their care. All told, issues 3 and 4 were corrected. The O2 sensor was repaired and bolts were installed to support the crossmember. I was given gas money for the mileage driven in Issue 2. I was out my vehicle for another 3 days while they corrected these issues. I dropped it off at the Middletown location, it sat there for 2 days until they drove it down to Erlanger for repair.Issue 1 can be corrected if they provide me warranty paperwork with 100 miles more than the original paperwork. That would be the mileage that I took delivery of the vehicle (135500).If you use this shop, double check EVERYTHING
Great service and helped resolve my issue timely and in a very efficient manner. Really glad I chose this location!
My sons car broke down on a Wednesday Fred had it towed to his Erlanger shop. My son was out of town and picked it up on Saturday! Fred and his team were great. He has worked on several of our family cars.
Awesome job on my Jeep. I will be sending all my friends and family here for trans work. They fixed my screw up and were very friendly
They have had our vehicle for 4 weeks and have told us they will call with an update multiple times, but not one single time in those 4 weeks have they called!
I wish a there was an option for 1/4 of a star... The manager is RUDE AND CLUELESS...absolutely NO COMMUNICATION. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I REGRET COMING TO THIS PLACE AND THE MONEY AND TIME WASTED ON THIS PLACE. ITS RIDICULOUS
Had a Trans rebuilt there and it has had nothing but problems. Everything was put off to being my fault not theirs. You can read all over Ammco websites and it shows a 3yr 36000mile warranty...not true you get a 1yr 12000mile with it. You have to pay ALOT extra for the 36000 (mine was almost 600 to add 24000miles)...and as for the iron clad warranty if you have a 4x4 it is not offered. The first quote I got was okay 2000-2300 but it cost me 3000 to have a 48re dodge trans rebuilt and I could have went to a performance trans that had 5yr 500,000mile warranty for 3300 dollars. I even explained my situation on that and was okay doing it at 2300 worst case......but now I have a truck that has problems and no warranty because I drive a lot. Communication is poor and as far as people go, stay away from Lonnie he is no good and if you can talk to Fred(Beechmont Aamco) you might get some where maybe, you can reason with him......and even when I would be in the lobby waiting for something about my truck I was watching other people come in and question their repairs ....also the same owner owns 2 other Ammcos in the cincy area .....labor charge for the disassembly and reassembly of the transmission alone was $795...that is utter BS. thats not parts, parts are another charge....I can go on and on but I think you all got the point
Work is good, communication not great.
Quality and efficient work!
This guy has had our car for over a year. Gave it back once and it worked for a solid day then we took it back and still has it to this day putting it off longer and longer. Dont go through this guy
Great service
Good people!!
THIS PLACE LIES AND RIPS YOU OFF!!!!!
Dont trust this bozo
