They have the best kitty’s with many different personalities. They are very thorough with the adoption process and make sure the kittens aren’t going home with just anybody. If you’re looking for a good cat I recommend checking them out

Such an easy adoption process! OA cares about every single cat that enters their beautiful shelter. They answer every question and are attentive to each cats, and humans needs. I love that they adopt based on who will fit best into each household.

This facility is awesome! The place to go if youre seeking to adopt a cat in need of a forever home. My daughter adopted a female cat that she renamed Aura! We love her! I cant say enough about how great this sanctuary is and about the people who operate it.. ♥️

This place is truly one of a kind. Ive never been to a pet shelter where the cats are free roaming and I absolutely love it. The cats are all friendly and happy and you can tell the staff all really love what they do and care for the animals. I got a kitten from there and she is the greatest. She came from a great foster. Shes so friendly, playful and social. Ive never before had a cat so friendly with everyone and so carefree.

Had a baby kitten just show up on my porch pretty sure it has worms (or pregnant) and has bad ear mites so I messaged orphan Angels to ask a few questions and altho the chat said the response time was a short wait I didnt have to wait at all! Highly recommend!!

Such a wonderful local shelter. We adopted our kitten from here about 2 weeks ago and they make the process informative and easy. Very kind people that you can tell really care for the kitties there. Definitely reccomend!

What amazing people & what a special place!! My sister, Bettylou, passed away leaving behind 4 cats. The people at Orphan Angels were so understanding of our situation & were willing to accept all 4 of the cats. Thank you so very much for your compassion!!

The people here are amazing. We did put our application in online the day before. We were in and out in about an hour and came home with our new family member. Adoption fee was $75.

I adopted 4 cats from Orphan Angels. They are Simply the best it is great to see the cats free roaming and they truly care about every one of their cats and kittens. Very friendly staff very knowledgeable would recommend it to anyone looking for a cat or kitten.

My daughter and I swept floors and visited with the kitties. So many sweet, happy cats!!!!

The love and care that goes into these cats is nothing short of amazing. Having adopted two kitties from there myself, I can say the adoption process was smooth, the cats come fixed and chipped, and the health and well-being of the cats is always priority.

Not very happy with them! I had surrendered my cat because I was moving. When my new landlord said we can go ahead and have a cat since she was fixed I tried to get her back. When I surrendered her they told me I can get her back without any questions asked. They refused to let us have her and gave me big obstacles. I accomplished those obstacles and they still refused! N3ver surrender your cats here! They are awful!

First of all I have never adopted a cat out of there I wish I could I wish I could take them all home. All I do is donate all my aluminum cans to you to help them little kitties and I tell people about orphan angels

They regularly have a yard sale. Lots of good finds, all supports the little kitties.

Every year they have a rummage sale to raise money. I love the sale and the people who work there are so nice.

A phenomenal organization. I recently had to surrender the love of my life (my cat) due to financial responsibilities. I am originally from Washington DC. I drove my cat all the way from DC to Erie, PA so she would NOT spend the rest of her life in a cage. The cats here roam free and are not euthanized (unless they are in pain). I visit her every week to make both of our transition into a new environment easier. They give me updates on how she is and on her diet. This is overall a great place!

My fiancé and I have been wanting to visit Orphan Angels for a while now, and just a few days ago we finally did. I cannot be more thankful. We adopted the sweetest and most loving cat named Georgie! The staff was very informative and I could tell they really cared about the cats there. They provided us with all of Georgie’s records, and made sure she was up to date on everything before she was given to us.

A fantastic place! I found my perfect black kitty there. Hes wonderful and Ill definitely go back if I ever want to adopt another cat.

Ive spent hours there visiting my favorite kitty to help him heal from surgery. There hasnt been a single day that I havent seen the volunteers working tirelessly. Feeding, changing litter, washing blankets & bedding, brushing, clipping nails, cleaning ears...the volunteers work their butts off every day. If you have any spare time, and love cats, please donate your time to help them keep up. Its so worth it because this is a no-kill shelter that needs help & funds.

I love this place so much. They work so hard for the cats they have there. We have a wonderful little girl from here and a good friend of ours recently got 2 cats and they are all perfect. I recommend orphan angels to anyone looking for a cat!

Got two cats a few months ago, came with worms and fleas. the one cat has feline herpes which is causing her respiratory problems. the other cat has chronic diarrhea which my vet is still yet to diagnose after multiple tests. have spent > $1000 in vet bills for both cats. would not recommend

People who have the compassion to take care of these animals when no one else will is amazing! We got our little Gracie from there, shes very talkative and loving!

Too many cats/kittens. Sad . Although its not anyones fault, more volunteers are needed. Please, if you have the time, check it out, maybe you could help. Only 1 staff upon opening and 1 volunteer. The animals do appear to be pretty well taken care of.

This place loves cats. Be prepared to see and smell cats everywhere, but they are cared for by many volunteers. They have a huge rummage sale a couple times a year and work hard to provide care and find homes for cats.

We recently lost our adopted cat, and were looking to fill the void. We spent a very enjoyable time at Orphan Angels interacting with the many cats and kittens. We didnt end up bringing one home (its a little too soon), but it helped ease the pain of his passing.

I was denied when I wanted to adopt a cat from Orphan Angels because I currently own two AKC registered dogs who are not spayed or neutered.

It is all about the cats. OA gives them shelter, freedom inside that shelter, medical attention and caring people screening the people interested in adopting a cat. Help them if you can. They are life savers.

Lady I spoke to informed me that since I have a cat thats both indoor and outdoor that im a horrible cat owner because some how im to blame for birds that have been instinct since the 1800. Of course when she informed of her opinion I was thinking about birds in my life time. But as I googled it when I got home no birds have gone instinct for at least 80years. Although having a outside cat does deplete the bird population its just in your cats domain and birds find other places to nest mate and live. So ladies at Orphan Angels although I appreciate your services and the help you give homeless cats get your facts correct before insulting other cat lovers and owners. Just because you believe in something that you take seriously or practice doesnt mean or make your way right or even healthier than that of someone else. Everyone has their own way of doing things and beliefs. Its wrong to say mean things to anyone else that can care for cats you clearly care about so why try to have less people thats more cats with no home food or love. Just a thought.

I really love that this is a no kill shelter but I am really not too thrilled that within two months we were told our cat has some kind of allergies (he had been at this shelter for four years so there is really no excuse why we werent told he had allergies), two infections (could have just as easily happened here, but who knows at this point), and were told that his blind eye might be able to be fixed. So..Im glad they dont kill them, but I am really not happy that we had to spend so much money to find out half of these things, that this shelter just as easily could have told us from the start.

Without these people Im scared to think where all the help would be for the cats in Erie would be.

Have adopted several cats here. The people do a wonderful work of love here.

I am so proud of a beautiful kitten, Posey (Sprinkles), who is very well loved.

When I stopped by they were having a yard sale out front with varry random things, mostly junk. I talked to one of the women who takes care of the cats. After I explained that I was looking for a male cat that was not declawed and could eat dry food. She would no longer talk to me. I dont think she was trying to give any of them away. Crazy cat lady just looking for funding to feed them what a joke.

They treat the cats very well and almost all of the cats are very friendly.

Was disappointed with the cat we adopted. Felt like they were not honest with us about cars behavior or adjusting in a new home. Had to take him back after being attached by cat and having to go to hospital.
