These guys are absolutely amazing. I was referred to them by my employer who uses them for transmission work on our fleet (hint: Ambulances). I have a 2017 Subaru CrossTrek 5 Speed Manual. My clutch release bearing was absolutely shot and I couldn’t get the car into gear. I brought my car in and ED worked directly with my Warranty company, clutched are not usually covered under car warranties however ED was able to successfully argue that clutch damage was due to a faulty Release Bearing and was able to get it nearly completely covered.A day and a half later my car was done! I went to pick it up and I’ve forgotten how good a brand new clutch feels! Zero and I mean absolutely zero resistance on the clutch, it is soooo smooth I can’t even explain it properly!Amazing work! Please choose these guys for your work. You will NOT be disappointed!

Super Heros! Immaculate shop, filled with pros. We were stranded from out of town. Our transmission had gone out. In 4 days they had towed our truck to their shop, diagnosed the transmission, Found a new one, and installed it for a great price. They were fantastic to work with and are knowledgeable, trustworthy professionals.We are so grateful that they were there to help us.

Tried to get my transmission diagnosed. He never showed any proof of the diagnosis and charged us. Then told us to replace the transmission. We wanted proof of the diagnosis and he took a piece of paper that said replace transmission and the cost as a receipt. Wanted a refund and he tried to fight. Eventually he gave us the refund. Lesson of the story dont even get a diagnosis.

They dont even give you a chance to ask questions just tell you they are booked and hang up....rude

I want to Eds transmission because the head the highest rating on Google and the most ratings. Very professional service. Very very quick our Van was back on the road in a couple of days. The pricing is good, with it work requires. Rebuilding a transmission isnt cheap but it has been phenomenal and its performance since Ive got the car back! Well worth the money spent. I highly recommend Eds transmission for any work that you may have to have done on your transmission. Everyone in the shop was very professional and courteous. When I 1st called they got right back to me so in a matter of a very short period of time the have my car back on the road. A+++

We had an issue with transmission fluid leaking in a commercial van. We took it to Eds Transmission. Since this is a commercial vehicle, having it out of service costs us money. Within a few hours, they had the transmission out, diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate of what the cost would be for a new transmission (there was no fixing the old one). I gave the go ahead, and within one day, we had the vehicle back and running great! Ed was wonderful, professional and quick! He also showed us the old transmission so that we could see the issues. I highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future. They rebuilt the transmission and transfer case in my 2006 Suburban and did an outstanding, professional job. They had everything completed within 48 hours from when I dropped it off! I had a specific list of work I wanted completed while the transmission was out including replacing engine rear main seal, crossmember mount, universal joints, and cooling lines. Everything that I asked for was completed and the owner went above and beyond. Their pricing was extremely fair and honest. Very professional and friendly technicians.

We have a 2012 Jeep Patriot which has a CVT transmission (you cannot check the fluid levels without special equipment), so we understood it was not an easy rebuild, That being said, we had to take it back shortly after it was repaired. We had numerous electrical issues after that, we took it to two other service stations including Gary Miller and spent $ 750.00 to find out the fluid levels were not correct, so we took it back a third time and he said the filter was plugged (would have thought that would have been part of the rebuild?). Hopefully now 6 months later its finally fixed.

Ed is a true gentleman, but more importantly, an honest man. Long story short, while on my way to the French River in Ontario for a month of solitude camping and fishing, the transmission in my E350 camper burned up. He stayed open an extra hour until I was able to get my vehicle to his shop. After a long night and a very trying day, Ed went out of his way to help me. He even let me plug into his power and stay right there on his property over night. The next afternoon he called me with an itemized list of all the parts needed and the cost of each. He knew that I was on a budget, and without me asking, he knocked a couple hundred in labor off my bill, which aloud me to carry on with my trip that I had been planning and looking forward to for the whole last year. Without his kindness, I probably would have had to head back home broken hearted.Great service, kind an understanding owner, and honest... what more could you ask?Thank you sir for your assistance.

Eds transmission is really great service. Owner is great guy who is always willing to help regarding what type of repair you need. I was under impression they repairs only transmission but I was wrong. Theyre repairing everything regardless of car or truck brand. Im very satisfied how they handle my truck Chevy Silverado and my problem with front end. I was in and out in 45 min. and on the road again. Thanks to the crew of Eds transmission and from my experience I recommend this service to everyone. Well deserved five stars.

My husband and I were in the middle of a military relocation move from NY to Missouri when the Rear Diff on my husbands car completely shattered. Ed and his team had us back on the road within 36 hrs at a very fair price for the work they did in the time they did it! A horrible situation could have been made a lot worse if we didn’t make our timeline for my husband report date. A feel a less honest mechanic could have taken advantage of us in the horrible bind we were in being from out of town and in a strict timeline that couldn’t be changed. We honestly can’t Thank Ed and his team enough for all their help and hard work !

If you need a transmission service in Erie, it would be foolish to use a chain store. Ed was honest, quick, upfront, and fair with pricing. I had a pan hose leak that turned out just to be a broken clamp and fixed with 10$, and that was what I was charged for it. You literally cannot beat this place. I dont often review online, but Eds deserves it.
