Cant beat the hours or the price. They have a good selection of equipment and things are generally clean and orderly.If you visit in the evenings on weekdays, youre likely to find gaggles of college-age members congregating around equipment to chat (but not actually using it), especially in the free weights area. I wish theyd do more about that, but for the most part, there is plenty of equipment.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Today I lost an earring between the treadmills and thought it was gone forever. One of the staff helped me search initially, but another looked again until she found it, cleaned it, and brought it to me! She didnt have to do that, but Im grateful and thankful that she did!

Leaving around 430am without a corona mask on (nobody around at all). The manager (Kiev) strolls in asking me to wear one (I am literally one foot out the door)..not an issue with this request normally. The exception is that she isnt wearing one herself. Do as I say, not as I do? Judgment free zone?

I dont have a membership, as of the moment, but Ive been a guest. I love getting to workout there. It has a great atmosphere for working out and plenty of machines to use.

Was there tonight 1/29/21. About a 100 people in the gym. I was the only person wearing a mask. They do not require them. Felt very odd and dangerous. I left there at once as it is not safe there.

Being overrun by lots of young men,with attitudes. Lots of f words flying around. Not appropriate with types of people who are there. May never go back. Was a wonderful place for years. Several of my friends feel the same.

I loved how planet fitness was a gym I could go to that I could feel comfortable, was close to home, and was a good price. I went almost every morning with my girlfriend and we enjoyed ourselves greatly. Today I decided Im never going back to planet fitness again though. I understand the policy and rules so I always try my best to be as respectful and quiet as possible while obeying all gym rules such as never grunting, wearing boots or jeans, slamming weights and I always wipe down my equipment. But one day I was bench pressing and all I did was gently position the bar back in the rack a trainer yelled across the room word for word God damnit stop slamming the weights!! Okay everyone has a bad day I understand and after denying he said anything when I confronted him about it, I still apologized because I want to be polite. He came up later and he did apologize when no other gym members where around to hear him. But today I was slowly putting my dumbbell weights to the floor and I lost my grip on one less than an inch from the floor. Instantly a women came over and said we can all hear you from the front of the counter so you have to stop slamming weights. I dont get it I hate to bring the race card into it as I am Asian but maybe they dont like me for that? Anyways long post but this place sucks. The gym staff are odd. Except Tyler hes always been cool

Its cheap enough for sure. But that makes it super busy. You will definitely have to wait for weights, but always an open treadmill. If you want free weights youll have to go somewhere wlaw though. Overall, definitely worth the price, just not the gym for everyone.

Love it.. No judgments from ANYONE! You can work out at your own pace and they provide trainers to help you.. My trainer Ryan is VERY informative and AWESOME. He has helped me lose almost 30 pounds in 4 weeks and Im not even done with my training with him. If i could give planet fitness 10 stars i would. Pleasant atmosphere. Awesome massage chairs and tanning beds. Thank you planet fitness and Ryan my trainer.

I went in to take a look around. I received a brief tour by a general manager named Kiev. Next day,I go in to purchase tanning lotion and this girl is SO RUDE. Her eye rolling, huffing and obnoxious attitude was enough to make me post this review. You need better (FRIENDLIER) management. I wouldnt even consider your establishment.

My experience with Planet Fitness in Ephrata started as a 5 star Ended as a 0 star:The physical equipment there is in good working order, anything that was broken was quickly fixed. The front door staff knew me by name so I didnt have to scan in.I had a personal trainer that was there for me, was personable and really cared to help me meet my aggressive weight loss goal. If the roads were impassable in the mornings I would get a call to reschedule.This awesome trainer moved on to a location that was closer and was replaced by someone who did not want to be there.I felt like I was judged by this person for wanting to lose weight, was not personable at all, and did not care about me or my desire to be healthy. For the last 3 months of my time with PF this trainer called in sick, missed appointments, or failed to call to let me know they were not available. So I was stuck trying to go it alone and ended up hurting myself because of not knowing proper form.When I finally stopped signing up for training this trainer came back and completely blew me off each and every time I attempted to talk with them. The last day that I was there I asked the trainer point blank, in front of another employee, what the issue was, Why I was being ignored didnt receive any notification about the missed appointments. To which this employee verbally assaulted me stating that I had no motivation and I made the day Utterly HORRIBLE everyday that I was there.I had been an every day 5am, and as far as I knew this was the only employee that I had made enemies with.Will I go back to any planet fitness: Not likely.

Since they remodeled this place and joined with what used to be the tanning salon next door I enjoy going so much more. The hydro massage beds and lounges are fantastic and the variety of tanning beds is great.

I am here at least four days out of the week. I absolutely love it. I have to go on different shifts because of my work schedule and all the staff are friendly and informative

Ive been a member of Planet Fitness for several years now and am always greeted by name when I get there. Im so regular that I dont even need to give them my number anymore. Broken equipment gets fixed fairly quickly and every single one of the employees are amazing. The managers are top notch and have dealt very professionally with any problems that arise. And how can you beat the monthly price?

Hubby and I finally decided to join a gym and Planet Fitness was the one we chose. We picked 3 different places we thought wed like to go. Tims Fitness in Lititz, the Rec center in Lititz and Planet Fitness in Ephrata. Planet Fitness was by far the most welcoming and informative place out of the three. In all fairness, we did not make it to the Rec centers open house to consider it. The price of a membership alone was enough to steer us in a different direction. Planet Fitness is super friendly, very clean( important to a germaphobe like me) and we can stop in anytime the spirit moves us!

I enjoyed my membership here. Its a little awkward that you must cancel in person (since lets face it, everyone cancels at some point), but the equipment was good, and most days things were in good order. Most of the staff is polite and friendly, too.

Just got a black card membership so I can use the massage tables.First time I want to use them,, new to the process and all,, talked to the gentleman for a couple minutes about the process and then he gets a phone call.Never did get to use the table because after his phone call he got sidetracked by some young lady.Customer service was terrible.

Planet fitness Ephrata pa. This gym has become way too small for the amount of people it serves. Poor ventilation you can smell the bathroom every time you pass it. These issues need Addressed. Depressing atmosphere.

Ive been a member of the Ephrata Planet Fitness since it opened. I have been a fitness freak for over 30 years and have belonged to many gyms (chain and local). The staff are very friendly, know my name, greet me with a smile EVERY time I come in. The equipment is kept clean and serviced above any other gym Ive belonged to. Stuff breaks but they FIX it. They have a bank of 16 flat screen TVs and Ive never seen a single one of them having problems. I dont need a trainer, a day care, a spinning class, or free towels. I need available equipment that works and hours that suit me, a locker and a shower. Thats all I use when I got charged $40 per month and thats what I now get for $10 per month. Im not a New Years resoluton member - probably their most active member so I feel my opinion is valuable. If you need all of the extra stuff go pay $40+ a month and enjoy. If youre at my gym and youre paying $10 and complaining about it .... good luck with life.

TO SMALL. Place has got weights and a shower room yes but the one in shillington has so much more, massage beds, more equipmemt options, Ephratas biggest down fall is its to small, just plain down to small for the amount of people

Price lock fee is a bit sneaky on their part. Charging $10/month, but theres also a one-time price lock guarantee fee of $40ish. People are attracted by the low monthly rate, then just pay for the fee since they already drove there. Literally no difference than paying $13-$15 a month somewhere else when you do the math.

I appreciate that I can go almost any time of day, and get my workout in:)

The place is nice enough, and the staff is friendly, but unless youre just going for the cardio, this facility seemed more suited for physical rehabilitation than serious exercise. Moreover, there are significant disadvantages to being in a judgement-free zone when youre doing something that, done incorrectly, can cause serious injury. Signing up here would be like picking a doctor because he doesnt nag you to stop smoking.The location has no squat racks, no deadlift station, and no bench press racks. They dont actually have any adjustable-weight barbells at all. When I was touring the location, I asked the trainer, who was clearly in good shape, how he managed an effective resistance training program here, and he told me that he works out somewhere else (where they do have the items mentioned previously).While there, I noticed that most of the people using the machines, dumbbells, and even the cardio equipment were interacting with them in ways that increased their risk of injury. One fellow on a treadmill was having a heated discussion on his cell phone while walking at an incline and speed that was clearly beyond his ability (to do with good form). Im shocked he didnt fall off.Despite the low cost, Id personally recommend looking elsewhere.
