This is the easiest review Ive ever had to write! From start to finish this was one of the best vehicle service experiences Ive ever had. We had the battery replaced on our Audi Q7, and for anyone that owns one they know this is no simple job. The battery is under the drivers seat!! What?! Additionally, the job requires the battery to be coded to the vehicle using a special programmer. I called several shops all around town and Precision was the only one up to the challenge. If you need your high end import, or any vehicle for that matter, serviced I have zero hesitation endorsing this business!! Not only did they finish the job on time with a very fair price (much cheaper than the dealership) they also cleaned the car inside and out and delivered it to my house 25 minutes away. The service advisors and everyone else I interacted with were nothing but nice and straightforward with any questions. Ill definitely be sending all of my vehicles here in the future. Ive been driviing trucks since 1987 and it is difficult to find a mechanic that can fix trucks properly. I had my 03 dodge ram pick up to two other places for the same problem. T hey would not give up until all broken parts were located. Even though covid parts delay they provided me with a loaner my trucks suspenion is like brand new i can drive down the road without worrying that a wheel is going to fall off anymore. These guys get the job done right the first time. It took awhile to get it back but well worth the wait. The place is so clean amd organized. I lived in the 5 boros for most of my life the only other place with real mechanics(and food) I will only use precision you wont be dissatisfied with quality of work. My truck LOVES Precision !!!

Robbed me in broad daylight. Asked to find a SOLUTION to my engine code. Was told I need a new cat converter. Which my od2 port reader told me its emissions issue anyway. Basically paid 160 to get my codes read to me (which is what they do at autozone for free) If they were half decent business men theyd give me a refund. Was no help at all and waste of time

Giving 4 stars because they were great to deal with but there prices were kinda crazy. Nothing bad to say other then that. Came to pick up my car and I caught the owner on his way out the door trying to leave. Tried to start my car and the battery had died from the cold and it sitting for two weeks cus I couldnt get it sooner. He waited and helped me jump my car. Very friendly fella. Would recommend only because I know they are good I just couldnt afford there hourly rate but thats my fault for taking it to a high end shop. After writing this I decided they deserve a 5 star rating because I just really liked them.

Had new rims and tires mounted and balanced there did awesome job .thank you guys so much .if you have big rims and tires need mounted they are the place to go .

I absolutely love this shop! I’ve NEVER trusted mechanics in this area because the end results were always bad and ended up being way more expensive. Not only did they work with me on my appointment date (inclement weather) but they did a great quality job and also got my vehicle inspected swiftly! All staff are professional and friendly, which is always a big plus!I will definitely be returning with my VW Tiguan. Thank you guys!

My son called them regarding his car which it says they know woot about. First they acted like my son was a bother, then said to just look at his car for a few hours would cost 526. plus tax which we said ok then they scheduled a day if April 25th which was a Sunday they are closed. I feel if you advertise so much on tv why would you act like it was a problem. Thumbs down.

We own an Auto Repair Shop with just one mechanic - there are times we have to refer customers to another shop due to technical issues we dont have the ability to fix (like a computer issue) - these guys are who we recommend for great service and good pricing - our customers are satisfied when we refer what we cant do to Precision Auto!

So I stumbled across this place trying to figure out where to take my car to get fixed and inspected and let me just say Im happy I found this place. The staff was great they were very helpful and kind. There service advisor Johnathan was fantastic he was so nice helped me decide what I needed to get done right away on my vehicle. He even helped me figure out recalls on my car he called me with updates every time and let know exactly when my vehicle was finished. They even offered me a courtesy shuttle and picked me up and gave me a ride to the garage to come pickup my vehicle. I was very please with there service, and I will definitely be returning for all my vehicles needs. I highly recommend them theyre awesome! I will be referring others there as well. Precision Auto has done a couple of wheel alignments for me, one just yesterday. This is usually a basic service item but I drive a high performance german car and so I am VERY selective on who I trust to work on my car and I trust Precision Auto to provide me honest trustworthy diagnostics and quality professional service that is fairly priced. I am a new customer who recently had two cars in for various issues. Jonathan called and explained in detail and without pressure what was wrong with one car, and whether or not it required immediate attention. The shop also provides electronic copies and pictures of what they believe needs work so you can judge for yourself, a service which was very helpful. The prices I was quoted for repairs seemed to be more or less about average for parts and labor. I was very pleased with the service I received, and will be coming back in the future.

Before Precision, the only mechanic I trusted with my 1996 Volvo 960 was a classic car and Volvo specialist in Geneva. They provided all-around incredible service, but with a hefty price tag. Then one day my engine overheated suddenly in Binghamton, and Precision was the closest notable automotive service within distance of my smoking car. I left it overnight, worried that they would make mistakes as most other mechanics have done before ... but I was very pleasantly surprised. They met the bar set by my former mechanic and surpassed it by offering reasonable prices and being honest about what needed fixing, what would be expensive, what could wait, and what was unnecessary. Furthermore, they are not a 90-minute drive from my house. I cautiously trusted them with my outdated classic car to help me with a messy situation and now they are my sole mechanics.

I was recommended by a lot of people to take my car to precision to get work done on it as I needed quite a bit done on a foreign car and not a lot of places will work on them. I had spoken to the owner over the phone and the initial conversation sold me on the place.With some pretty complex work needing to be done on the car im thinking that I would be without a car for at least a week....NOPE. These guys got everything I needed done within a day and surprised me. When I got the car back I was even more surprised. The work done was PERFECT. They had fixed everything perfectly and were so nice and helpful with everything. 5/5 would recommend to anyone!

After the ambient temp sensor stopped working in my car, and finding out the wiring had corroded and needed to be redone, I took it in here. They were very very nice and discussed up front what may need to be done. They did not treat me like I didnt know what I was talking about, and didnt try to sell me on anything I didnt need.I was told it would be done by 4:30-5pm, and they finished a little after 4!Everything is back to working how it should! I would highly recommend taking your car here, they are pretty great!

The guys at Precision did a terrific job and I got my Honda van back the same day when I was in the process of moving. 5 months later the replacement part failed and caused another breakdown. They fixed it under warranty and even gave me a loaner for a couple days. Precision really stands behind their work and definitely treated me right. I’ve been a customer of Precision Automotive for 20 years, and at least 5 different cars. They are straight forward on repairs and estimates, courteous and professional in sorting out what needs to be done, and very accommodating to my unique scheduling needs. And most importantly, while they are not “cut-rate”, they do repairs right and stand behind their work. I have, and will, continue to trust my vehicle repairs to Precision.

I called Precision Automotive about mounting tires i had bought from TireRack. I called them first since they were highly recommended to me. Their price was about double of anyone else in town. I called back after checking around and talked to the boss, John Ludwig. He explained why. The bottom line to that is that they are professional, highly trained and care about what they do. They also have the force balance system that Google says others do but dont. Double the price of those that provide less than half the value, for a job well done, is a deal in my book. They did everything the way it should be done and got me in the day i called them. Precision is my new go-to mechanic and if you are smart, yours too. Thanks guys for great service!

Its a very serious and high quality company. Expansive but worth every panny. They do excellent job and they know what they doing. Out of all companies that I know and seen this company that I will always go to. After trying to go to 5 different companies unsuccessfully for my 2018 Lexus IS300 alignment, precision took me in and they did an excellent job on my alignments after when the car was wrecked. The only downside that I got charged over $200 vs $65 for the regular alignment but let me tell you it was worth it Im very happy and I will go there again

Precision replaced the clutch slave cylinder on my 19 year old Mazda Miata. It shifts great now. The annual inspection software they use is amazing. You are emailed a link which reports on all 30 inspection points. Precision takes photos of anything out of spec and its right there for you to see. I didnt know the slave cylinder was the problem but they found it. Thanks Jon!

If you’re smart, you will not go here. My whole family and I were fooled and took our cars here for years. they’re nothing but thieves. I had asked for Jon the “owner” 4 different separate times two over the phone and two in person. I was told he couldn’t speak with me on the phone because he was busy so i asked for him to be there when i got to the shop. Coincidentally he had left before i could even get there. When i dropped my car off to get inspected, they called and told me i had a starter problem and they couldn’t start my car. they made me drive all the way from downtown Binghamton out to Precision to start my car, which it immediately started right up. They tried to tell me in order to pass inspection it’d be a thousand dollars. Then they made me pay $230 for absolutely nothing, they scraped my inspection sticker off and everything. they’re lazy, they’re liars, they’re rude, they’re cheapskates. I took my car to Mr. Tire and they quoted me a third of the price precision did. You WILL be taken advantage of and you WILL end up paying a ton of money. Precision Auto sucks and anybody that knows me or has a brain will be boycotting this dump of an establishment. Save yourself and go somewhere else. If i could rate this place zero stars I would have.

I’ve been bringing my bmw to them for about 6-7 months now and have had everything from oil changes to engine/suspension work. I wouldn’t trust anyone else in the area working on higher end cars without getting your saving drained by a dealership. Great people. Great service. UPDATE it’s now been about 2 years and I still have amazing service!! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would.

I went here because my inspection was due and oh my, what a treat!! The staff was friendly and helpful, but also through and professional, along with getting me right in! The waiting room was a delight also, very spacious and comfortable with snacks and drinks, wonderful tile work! While I was waiting I could see into the garage and what’s happening? their washing the cars in there! I thought that was just super, above and beyond right there! The man who did my inspection, a Mr. Jim, came in and talked to me and told me what I can expect for my next oil change and what I should keep an eye on, very personable. I’m glad I passed my inspection, but I felt safe knowing that my car was in great hands. I will recommend this place to everyone!!!

Jon and his team have been taking care of my Porsche 997 for years. It needed its annual service (oil, filter, alignment etc.) and they had me in and out in 2 hours. While I was there, Jon enlightened me about the oils Porsche recommends. They have the Hunter Equipment to do the job right.I recommend Precision.

This place is without a doubt the best experience Ive ever had with an auto mechanic. Having just moved in the area from out of state, a quality, honest, mechanic shop was on my to-find list. I worked with Doug who was extremely communicative and friendly throughout my long transmission issue process. Even though the repair took around two weeks as my transmission needed extensive work, I didnt mind since Precision provided a loaner car and Doug constantly kept me notified of the progress. Incredible experience!

There are companies that provide good service and then there is the rare company that goes way beyond even your own high expectations to provide outstanding service. Precision Auto is such a rare find. I was referred to them after my Toyota Camry broke down during a trip to Binghamton University with my daughter. Precision Auto diagnosed the problem; which had been misdiagnosed by two other auto repair places (that charged me a lot of money). I was told that Precision Auto specialized in complex problems, but I wasn’t fully prepared for their high business ethic. What a find. Gail, at the front desk, was highly respectful, kind, and unrushed as she explained the repair issues and presented me with service options. She also advised me to choose the option for which Precision Auto would earn the least. I also met Jon Ludwig, owner, and observed his interactions with other customers. It was clear that Precision Auto goes the extra mile (pun intended) for everyone. My only regret is that this company is not located in my home state. However, when my daughter gets a car I will recommend that she use Precision Automotive Services, only, for as long as she lives in the area. Outstanding.

Great friendly service, good price for an inspection ($21) and only took an hour to complete, from the time I drove in until I drove out. Installed a blown headlight for me (that I already had purchased elsewhere). After calling around the area found that Precision Auto Service was the cheapest to re-charge the AC Unit in my Jeep Renegade. Fast and friendly service. Would definitely do business with them again. :)

First time there very clean, got a transmission fluid change runs good and fast service

Two experiences to share. First was a transmission and brake flush and filter change for the transmission. 100,000 mile service 2012 BMW 328xi. After the service I asked about the condition of the filter and fluid that came out. The response was the correct one. Lets go talk to the Tech that did it. I was able to meet with the Tech and we talked about the condition of the transmission and how to approach future services to maintain the condition for as long as possible. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what he was doing to a T. True professional service. Second was a Wheel rebalance after having the rims straightened from hitting potholes all winter. The tech was young but professional. After the balance he brought the print out and explained what it meant and the adjustments he made. Highly recommended

I have been to Precision multiple times now, and each time I was very pleased. My last visit I brought in my 2011 Mustang GT for a specific alignment. The tech didnt complain about the hassle of getting such a low car onto the rack, and he did a fantastic job. I got the exact specs I was hoping for, and didnt have to worry that it wasnt done right. These guys have the best machines, and great techs. I also only go to Precision for mount/balancing, they are the only place around that wont scratch your wheels!

They are excellent. I enjoy the reminders I receive in the mail that I need to come in. Yes, I do! And they make everything quite simple. If I need to borrow a car when I do come in, they say: Sure can do! Please just return it filled. And I do. They are honest and trustworthy. I will be in with both cars soon. Thank you.
