The gym is clean, staff is very friendly, and a great assortment of equipment. It is very busy for the space, expect to wait to use specific equipment. Besides that though great experience.

The equipment is in fine working order and clean. The Trainers are knowledgeable and have a good grasp on the best equipment for your goals. There is no switching from trainer to trainer so your trainer knows where you have been and where you are going. Would recommend.

INSTANT REGRET. I signed up for a membership at the end of March. (Here it is May and I’m cancelling my membership.) I ended up signing for personal training sessions. That was a mistake. Within a month, I had my trainer switched, my schedule changed, and little to no meal/work out plans (which were included with the training) I expressed my frustration with the manager Gary, and he said he would take care of it. He never did. There’s more to this story but It would be a very long review. (Trainer cancelling an entire week of sessions, manager promising to find me a new trainer and never did...) I’ve spoke with manager and told him how I felt and he asked for me to be patient while he tries to figure out how to help and I still haven’t heard anything from him. It’s clear they just want me to stay so they can keep taking money. That’s all they care about. Not to mention in the 2 week span of sessions I only had TWO sessions, I was still charged for six.The ONLY good things at this gym: my initial trainer, Erik who was absolutely amazing. He’s probably the best trainer they have. Professional and knowledgeable. And the front desk staff.. always helpful and nice. They’ve helped me more than the manager. The gym is big and the equipment is good but you can find that anywhere. Join a different gym.Update: I’ve communicated with manager and he has been awful trying to get this issue resolved. I asked for the contact info of someone above him and he refused to give it. Please don’t joking this gym.

This is an impressive gym at a great value. One thing to beware of when signing-up, there is a $49 annual fee that does not display on the main webpage. Do check out the place, parking is excellent and the outdoor space on both levels is a game changer.

I enjoy the the EOS setup. It could use FreeMotion cable machines as they are much more adaptable to workout needs than the two machines presently available and they need at least four. Competition for the Barbell areas is strong as are the bench presses. Other than that, all is well.

A well appointed gym that is clean and well staffed with helpful trainers. The equipment is kept up pretty well. My only complaint is that its often very crowded. Its sometimes a challenge to get in a full workout. The result of being a popular gym.

They will secretly charge your account even if you cancel with them, they are not to be trusted when you cancel an account make sure you get your card information off from their end. I was charged for the ENTIRE YEAR of the pandemic, 2020, even after canceling my account. They said freezing and canceling my account were the same thing but clearly not because I was still getting charged for a year. They even sent me a cancellation email. When I came with DAVID YORK over email about this and my situation, they denied me any refunds.. find a gym where they understand and have compassion that although the $24 may mean nothing to them, secretly getting charged for a year means everything to me during a pandemic where money is so tight. Absolutely horrible and inhumane customer service.I have been coming to this gym since 2014??? Even before it was EOS, and there is ZERO honoring about my situation from their end, no refunds, nothing. Do not trust them and especially David York.

Avoid this gym at all costs. I joined for 2 weeks, decided it wasnt the gym for me, and then canceled my membership (see below for why I canceled). I have no problem paying for the full month that I committed to, despite only joining for two weeks and going a grand total of 6 times. Thats fine. BUT. They also charged me for the next month, i.e., for the month that started 2 weeks *after* I informed them I was canceling. AND they would not refund my initiation fee. What terrible customer service. I called and spoke with the Operations Manager, a woman whose name I did not catch, and she provided me with awful customer service. In the end I paid for two months of membership plus an initiation fee, despite going 6 times over a 2 week stretch. The appropriate customer service, that you would receive from a reputable gym, would be to keep my payment for the first month, refund my initiation fee (or some fraction of it), and not charge me for a 2nd month. Why did I cancel? When I joined I was hopeful that this gym had good, intense cardio classes (note: I do not spin). I was disappointed to find that the classes were basically an afterthought, not well coordinated (i.e., started late/ran late), and none of them provided a good workout. I met to speak with the Manager, Gary Ransom, to see if he could help me find classes that would be a good fit, and he honestly had no idea what classes were being offered in his gym. This tells you everything you need to know about this place. When I tried to have the same type of conversations with a couple of the class instructors, they brushed me off and acted like I was wasting their time with my questions. This place is such a joke. Incompetent people and terrible customer service all around, from top to bottom. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

My credit card o file is randomly charged. To remedy these random charges I have to perserver through the human barrier that answers the phone. Each time my card is charged it takes no less then four phone calls and several hours to get a reverse charge applied. My account has been frozen since last March but in June someone charged ($5) a bottle of water on my credit card and then later they charged my annual fees and by December they were charging monthly dues on a frozen account .When I called about the monthly dues in December being charged that triggered another charge of $29.99 that they claim is a cancellation fee . So, not only did I pay annual dues for membership that I couldnt use but I also had to pay to cancel just to protect my credit card from being used at well.I would recommend going anywhere else and save yourself the headache.

I froze my membership back in March and in September not only did they back charge me but they charged me a membership fee that I have never paid before. I reached out to Nicolas the manager and he offered to give me $7 a month and no refund of annual membership that was non existant prior to covid. My daughter also ran into issues when they charged her for personal training sessions shortly after the gym reopened and wouldnt refund her after she moved out of the area. Both memberships have nowbeen canceled.

They paused my membership due to covid, and told me it would stay paused until I was ready to come back in, they then unpaused it without telling me (I never received the company email stating that they would reopen that they claimed to have sent me) they charged my account when I thought my account was on pause and they refuse to give any kind of refund. Their customer service and their policies during the middle of a pandemic are ridiculous. They just took my money when I havent been coming in and was under the assumption that my account was frozen until I verbally gave the go ahead to unfreeze it

Charging a week after opening for personal training and saying they need a month notice to cancel. How was I supposed to give notice when it was closed?UPDATE: After contacting the person the owner told me to contact i received no resolution. I was refused a refund even though since this post i have moved out of the area it is still not far enough. I guess they want me to drive 30 mins for a personal training session. I have also canceled my membership since I wont be driving 30 mins to go to the gym. Bad way to run your business

Facility is okay. Its small but they have most machines and at least few racks inside and outside. More crowded lately and not as clean anymore. Rarely do they open on time so if youre an early bird make sure to be patient in the morning - and be aware that sometimes you just have to go back home as no staff is there to open the gym at all.

Unsanitary conditions and seems they may possibly still open during a pandemic. There is trash all over the parking lot and the conditions of the equipment is very poor. Clean, cheap, convenient. Classes are mediocre at best. Maybe get some younger blood in there to spice them up? Gets super crowded which hopefully will change once Oceanside opens & hopefully they’ll have better, more challenging classes. Love the functional equipment! With sgt can you guys offer a drop in rate? The bathrooms are clean. Only complaint there is the sauna in the women’s bathroom is falling apart plus the floor is bubbling up in the middle of it. That’s a little dangerous considering your demographic. Love the fact it’s affordable. Don’t ever change that!

My wife and I are disappointed in your teams performance thus far. We signed up for the “soon”to be open Oceanside CA. location. They misrepresented information and opening dates more than once. 1. When signing up we were told the $9.99 one time early sign up offer was expiring the next day. It’s is currently still available over a month later. 2. They said the projected opening date range was early March “mid March at the latest” was their word for word line to me. It is now projected as April 30th. The staff I called about this had no new information so I kindly asked them to have a manager call me, they said he would. He did not. I called again a week later. The acting manager “Chris” told me that it was a “good coaching opportunity for the staff” on wording and info. That’s true and good for you and your team for learning as you go, but that should not affect us; the clients. No matter how little, or how much, we paid money in advance based on information given to us by your company. That’s false advertising. I chose to try EOS over my current 24 Hour Fitness and timed it to rehab my surgically repaired ankle as well, based on the original opening time frame quoted to us. So far I regret my decision.

The gym is fine. Equipment is okay. Great location. People are friendly and not hounding me about personal training. My issue with this place is that they cant seem to get their billing straight. Extremely frustrating to stop membership. I never used it, not once, paid, tried to stop it and am continually being harrassed. I tried to stop the membership by going to the club, talking on the phone to an EOS representative, emailing, everything! I signed up because I wanted to try the club out. I was not using the club membership so I tried to stop it by going into the club. The club said to call their financial number. When I called the financial number, i did not get customer service until after many minutes of holding time. Ruined my club experience. Its like a Hotel California. You can check in anytime you want, but you can never leave.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING. They use a third party financial company that uses auto pay and WILL screw you over. They offer the first personal training session for free, and then use manipulation selling tactics to get you to sign up for a 4-8 month contract. it cost me 350 dollars to cancel it. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF AND THE CLASSES ARE NOT WORTH IT.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean (shout out to the cleaning crew!) but for a new gym its missing or has low amounts of key equipment. Theres only two squat racks inside and a gym block outside (which you can put squat bars on). One hex bar (outside). Low weight standing calf machine (under 300 lbs). Two flat benches. Ultimately this gym has enough to work out in, but its difficult if you are into powerlifting, especially during the busy times as there just is not enough equipment, or low weight machines. As a result the gym is passable, but youll need to work out during non peak hours if you want to use the equipment listed above, and dont even think about trying to get a circuit in. Also fair warning the first month of billing they will tag on an additional $39.99 charge to keep your current rate locked in gym price, so essentially they charge you to not charge you more! Lol, maybe Im naive because Im from the Midwest. One other issue I had was they didnt have my pass tied to my account. As a result when I asked them for my attendance they were like whoops! Then my work which requires attendance to gyms for reimbursement (health bucks), wasnt able to see my attendance (I asked the EOS supervisor for an email explaining, and she sent it, but was not satisfactory for my work). As a result I lost out on the $125 fit bucks for that quarter. :/ in my opinion this gym has potential, but its untapped in its current state, and Im giving it a slight pass since its a newer gym.
