Sorta like Cedar Point except your recycling - electronic gizmos in my case - go for a ride, not you.3. Line is quick. Two vehicles at a time are unloaded.4. Have your proof of residence ready.Thanks to the polite and courteous staff.

Ag tire dropoff. Very organized and they collected thousands of tires. No wait, lots of equipment and staffing.

It took nearly 1 1/2 hours- but almost all of that was waiting in line behind 100 or so cars that. Like me, had things we werent able to take during the oast couple of months due to tge pandemic. For now, theyre only open on Saturdays, thus the long lines.Once I was close to the center, things moved fast. Theyre efficient and the facility is very clean.

So easy and convenient. Drive in show I.D. And they remove items from car. Friendy fast. Easy and almost fun.

Its all very simple. Drive-In, show them your license, pull up and open your trunk. The empty everything out and send you on your way! Very efficient way to get rid of hazardous waste & Electronics

Learned a lot about what they take and dont take during a field trip with my girls girls scout trip

I have used this service in the past and it was simple and easy however this time it was chaotic. The line for tire disposal began half a city block away from the entrance of the tire disposal facility. This was only made obvious when I was abruptly turned away from the empty facility. Apparently they are only capable of processing 4 customers every 30 minutes. I wonder why they dont expand their hours of service if they have as much interest in appropriate tire disposal? I waited over an hour to dispose of 4 tires.

Its a county agency. We take tires there that the public discarded along the roadsides we pick them up as I work for another county agency

This place currently has different hours due to COVID-19. This place is not open on Mondays! It is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, though the lines are way longer than usual due to the center being closed for several months and only opening back up in the later half of July. Its still well worth the effort to drop your stuff off here. Masks are required though theyd prefer it if you stay in your car at all times. I went on a Saturday. The line looked scary long but moved along fast enough to be tolerable. I was home a little over an hour after I left and thats including the time it took to drive from Amherst to Elyria.

Has been closed since the COVID19 scare. After 3 months of being closed lets admit these buffoons either dont want to work or the center is being mismanaged. Either way it reflects bad on Lorain County.If it isnt bad enough that this will be the last thing reopening in the US I also feel its note worthy to say that the site directs you to a blurb about contacting the Lorain County Commissioners with a phone number. They dont return calls or even acknowledge an inquiry.

There is no excuse not to recycle. The Lorain County Collection Center makes recycling easy and efficient. I had some very old paint to recycle today. What an easy process. Enter off of Abbey road at the driveway past Firestone. Drive under the overhang and pick one of the 2 lines. The team takes the items out of your vehicle and you drive out. Simple. Neat. Efficient. Be sure to have your picture ID with you to prove residency in Lorain County. I hadnt used this facility before but I will use it more from now on.

Organized, friendly, efficient!

The staff directs you and you dont even need to get out of your car. Just be sure to specify if you have containers you dont want them to throw out. They take almost all recyclables, including paint, car batteries, tires (there is a limit per person on how many they will accept) fluorescent bulbs, etc. Check hours and days theyre open.

Friendly workers. I had a hard time finding it. Look for Collection on building face. Follow orange EVENT signs

This place is amazing! Very efficient and organized. I didnt even have to get out of the car. Everyone has items that shouldnt be put in garbage or recycling. This is a very quick and easy alternative.

Great place to get rid of old paint. Be prepared to be asked multiple times if your a business or a landlord. I guess they dont take paint from business or landlord. If you have alot of paint employees act like its a big deal and a lot of work to slide paint from pickup truck to 4 wheel cart. Big fat guy pretends to assist but he is clearly happy to have other employees do all the work. Overall happy to have this free service available to county residents. They are fast. Drive thru is convenient.

The best County Service going....Keep your Junk out of our water supply.Recycle it...almost everything you can imagine. Amazing staff and service.

Very efficient operation todsy

Our recycling center is a great asset to the community for many reasons, not the least of which is the staff who make my weekly visit quick, easy and fun. Their nice long hours on Saturday (9 - 6) allow me to drop off my recyclables at my convenience, and Im usually in and out of this nice clean drive through facility in 5 minutes or less.

Very simple and pleasant process with pleasant people.

I wish the website could be updated to show actual times that the waste management was open not told open then drive 40 min to find it closed.

I would be lost without this place, so convenient and I am so happy to be able to recycle instead of throwing away. Go online and look at the list of items they accept and you will be amazed! You just drive thru and show your drivers license-must be Lorain County Resident. Watch the hours, not open everyday though, I wish they had longer hours of operation.
