If you actually want to speak to someone about the services for the license bureau you have to call the dss office and asked because the license bureau people refuse to answer phones from you can call at 8:30 and they still don’t answer call over 40 times in one day and still no answer

The system just doesn’t seem to work! I just watched my “granddaughter” - who my son and his wife have had since she was 3 days old and she’s almost 2 - leave for a visit with her “dad”. She was screaming, kicking, crying huge tears, yelling out “tay with Nana”. I write this review with tears streaming down my face, broken hearted for this dollie. It’s not right to make a baby (or any child) go through this. It’s wrong in so many counts. Something needs to be done. 2 years? Come on 😢

They claim to want to help but they put your children in more danger than they were supposedly in without batting an eye. Over a sibling argument they stick my sixteen year old literally on the streets and said she was better off... My child has to crash on couches at random friends walking distance from school so she could get to school and take get finals. We called multiple times trying to get her rides which was promised but not one call was returned. The supervisor forms a personal opinion if you and if she doesnt like you she hounds you every chance she gets. These are all issues that so more damage to the children and families than they ever help. Not to mention every thing they do is unconstitutional..

They take good families kids away and put them in bad homes. Then the kids that need them they dont help them. They lie constantly to people and make sure people run out of time so they cant get there kids home. Dont trust cps at all. The best part of all is when you are doing great they switch workers and then you have to start all over again and the next worker is twice as bad as the other. One worker says one thing the next says a totally different thing, so what do you do then. They are just playing games with your life yo control you and your family then they harass your friends, family, and your neighbors. So what do you do.... Get a better lawyer or find help and fast. Brace yourself for a roller coaster ride with these people.

People recite stuff as if from a script instead of attending to those who need help individual needs. Place had me in tears today because she wasnt understanding what I was saying and just kept repeating herself as if that was going to make it easier for me to understand her scripted logic. Best bet is if you need help with something do it yourself because they wont help you.

This agency is the one that spawned the phrase FUBAR. It is staffed by well-meaning people who likely wanted to help people, but to a person, are incompetent. These are people who chose the career of last resort and are the bottom of the barrel.My wife and I applied to become foster parents. Went through the entire process, passed the course, passed the home inspection, and awaited our first placement. After a few months, my wife called and asked about our status, and they had no clue who we were. Someone had lost our file. We asked to be reinstated, but never heard another peep. We finally gave up.My son and his wife successfully became foster parents, and the experience has been worse than horrible. DSS expects my son and his wife to supervise the visits with bio parents who are both heavy drug abusers, and have physically threatened my daughter in law. The bio mom has an active warrant, but is still allowed visits!?If you wish to foster, find another area not-for-profit agency that actually knows what they are doing.

Most confusing place I have ever been!!!! Everything is more work than what its worth. Ur supposed to work smarter not harder, in their case its definitely not smarter!!! In Steuben county everything is much simpler and less work.

Usually a bit of a wait bit they have always been nice to our family and willing to help as much as they can. If it wasnt for the wait time I would have given them 5 stars.

Cps is an absolute joke in this county! If you say you’re sorry its totally ok with them to leave a 5 year old home alone.

They do everything they can to ensure you don’t know about/miss any appointments they’ve made or phone calls you’re supposed to receive.

You Are encouraged to turn in welfare fraud according to their definition, you do and give proof by dates easily checked and nothing happens, except person Facebook brags ...hahaha nothing happened nice try, so DSS whats the deal? you have proof handed to you, Do you want people help or not? Im going to re submit what i know and see what you do, if the outcome is the same, ill take it to the media, its all a matter of public record theyll find i was right and stop by to ask the hard questions of the fraud department.
