I tried this place today and it’s the first class I had since pandemic.This what I needed it’s amazing workout and staff is awesome. OMG the sauna was Amazing too!!! Highly recommended

The best gym in the area in regards to price, cleanliness, great staff, and equipment. The gym has an awesome pool, and great workout classes. The janitorial staff is constantly wiping down equipment, I feel extremely safe going to this gym during the pandemic. The front desk staff is always super helpful with my billing issues. Love this gym.

The lady at the front desk is spectacular. She is courteous and has very good attention to detail. Some may call her the mask police, but that is needed during a pandemic. 5 star gym.

I love this LA Fitness! I live in the city but make the trip out to Elmhurst because this is my favorite gym. The vibe is great. It’s wide open and always super sunny. The staff is amazing! Just this morning I had left my iPad on a machine, and I called in a panic later that morning and Lisa at the front desk was so nice. She went looking for it and held onto it for me until I was able to come pick it up. Anthony is also incredible :-) he always goes out of his way to say hello, and I always see him being super helpful with other guests. A couple of days ago I saw him get up to hold the door open for an elderly man which I thought was so sweet. Little things say a lot about a person! I have found the staff at some of the other locations to be a little too snotty for my liking, so I very much appreciate the friendly vibe at this gym. 💜💜💜

Terrible customer service. I asked my personal sessions to be extended due to covid, and the answer was no. This was poorly communicated by the management. They kept recalling the contract details and asked to pay them more in order to be able to use my sessions I paid for already. I been a member for over 10 years, but will cancel may membership now. Horrible experience.

Best gym in the area! Way better than planet fitness/xsport. Super duper clean, and great equipment and staff. In regards to Sergio Martinez review below, the kids area is closed at the moment due to COVID-19... in my opinion the yearly fee is worth it. I broke a machine a few weeks prior and by that Friday they had the machine fixed. They do a great job keeping it clean and keeping up to date on maintenance. Pool is also open during the pandemic which is also a bonus!

My favorite gym !!! Of all the gym this for me is the neater or clean and more organized. Only the sauna would be missing for me to be happy 😃! However, it is my favorite because the facilities are new.

The sales people drive me nuts. You have to wear a mask while working out which is horrible for your health. I know multiple people that have gotten breathing problems like bacterial Infections from it along with skin problems around their nose and mouth!I gave two stars because the equipment is fantastic. I wont be back until this mask mandate is lifted and I wont be renewing.

The place is a mess!! dumbbells are always missing, the dumbells rack is big, but always empty, i have to walk all around the center and maybe to the second floor to find 10lb, and there is a place for 8 dumbbells of 10lb on the rack and any other weights less than 20lb but you will never find them

My first time back since covid and did not know what to expect. The girl at the front desk was pleasant, helpful, and courteous. My workout was great! & all safety guidlines met. Clean and orderly! Im so glad to be back! 😊

Tried to cancel my membership ( over a year ago) and then noticed recently that I had been charged the last year and a half. I called and they informed me they had put it on a freeze instead of canceling. And a freeze charges 10$ a month plus annual fees. Would never have frozen it since I moved away. Poor training is what I feel lead to this mistake and they wouldn’t refund anything but the last annual fee.

I was in town over the week of Christmas and we nt into the gym several times. This gym was always very clean and sanitized. There was always a custodian cleaning every time I checked in. All the cardio equipment was set up for social distancing. This gym had more than enough barbels for all the gym goers, I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of an indoor lap pool. The staff was friendly an welcoming. I highly recommend this gym.

Bought membership because I needed to lose weight before hip surgery. Water classes were the best. When covid hit they charged when there were limits on amount of people allowed in building. Nothing refunded or adjustments.. Water classes cancelled. Was told I could swim. Sorry do not know how to swim. Signed up for class.

Locker rooms are not very clean and cancelling is harder than trying to buy a black markwt kidney. During covid you can find equipment with minimal wait, but in normal times, you won’t find open equipment. Not worth the money.

Switched from Planet Fitness to La Fitness for childcare needs. Covid obviously closed the child care center at La Fitness, so my husband froze my account. La Fitness called to update my Ccd info on file, and I found out they’ve been charging full membership prices for almost a year. Explained I can’t use the membership without daycare.La responded, “well, we cancelled the childcare charges when the child care center closed; too bad on your monthly fee charges, those are not based on use.”But the account was on hold! SmhPoor service. Do not recommend.

Large facility with plenty of treadmills, free weights and machines. For being so new, things seem to break a lot and take a long time to fix. Very young staff doesnt spend any time really paying attention to what is going on in the place.

I got the chance to work with Isaac who was very respectful and interested in learning more about me, not just about my fitness goals but also my life. I have never had an experience such as this. We were able to talk about how I can work around my life and the importance of exercising. I appreciate him so much for everything he did for me. I would recommend my family members and all my friends to go to him.Furthermore, the gym is very clean and I have had nothing but positive interactions with the staff.

Love this gym, going there for more than a year. The only issue I see right now is, that front desk stuff is not wearing masks or wearing them under the nose. Yea yea, I know, not all ppl believe in COVID and all of that, but-if I’m supposed as customer to have it on when entering gym, I expect the same from ppl who great me and take my temperature. Please, advise ppl who work at front desk to wear masks properly, at least when customers are coming in

Gym was new, basketball courts are nice. Equipment was very nice. Pool is tiny, no hot tub, not sauna. Bathrooms were not very clean. 90% male, 10%female. There are people with bare feet and no shoes . I decided not to continue after a 7 day trial.

Gym was extremely clean, the staff was very friendly and the Manager Jim was super helpful to me on my visit from Iowa. Other gym goers were friendly and clean! Very organized and tons of amazing equipment!

Isaac has been extremely helpful since the first day i went to the gym. The staff is so nice, helpful and always willing to help out with whatever it is anyone may need. I have been frequenting this location quite a lot over the last 7 months. There are good number of machines for cardio and a wide variety for strength training as well. The range of weights available are pretty good as well. The machines are clean and the gym is overall pretty well maintained.There are other facilities that i dont use like cycle room, swimming pool, basketball court, yoga room, childcare room etc

I’ve been a member for about 2 years now. I used to love this gym in the beginning. Now the staff is rude, most of the time they are new and I waited 3 weeks to be able to talk to someone that knew what they were doing, the gym is disgusting, dirty and weights everywhere. The staff is always at their desk and on their phones. I’m super disappointed and I regret renewing my membership in hopes things would get better. You can find a better gym, pay the same price!

I came here just to get prices but after sitting down with Isaac to talk, I now feel better equipped to tackle my weight loss goal. If youre looking to start working out, ask for Isaac, he will make sure he makes you feel welcomed and has a lot of information to help you out with any fitness goal you may have. I was working out here the other day. I am a bit over weight and dont know exactly what Im doing. However an amazing brilliant young man named Kevin changed that. He gave me great information I never knew and showed me things I would have never known. He is amazing kind and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and happy. I trained with Fransisco two weeks ago. Great guy, he really knows his stuff. If you have an LA fitness membership, check him out! The gym here is clean and nice. Only knock is that other LA fitness places have saunas, but none here. I would recommend my family and friends to come over here.

While in Chicago I needed a place to work and choice this location. The person that assisted me Chris Lawrence was very hospitable and provide a weekly pass that work to my benefit. I appreciated the pass from Chris, the cleanliness of the gym and the opportunity to work in the area.

Super clean and has all of the machines you need as well as classes. Its good for the price. Nothing unusual when it comes to their sales pitch, though. If theyre offering you a deal of the day, dont feel pressured - they will honor it the next time you come in. Its how chain gyms operate.

Visited this location since its near work and really enjoyed it. Much better than my home la fitness location. Will definitely be back.

I really hate there is no sauna or hot tub. I have to drive to oak brook or Lombard now to use one. Other than that, it’s a decent gym

He took his time showing me some of the machines and explained to me the benefits of this location!I’ve been struggling with my weight for years, this wasn’t easy decision to make but a terrific way to invest in myself. If you are reading this, don’t wait any longer and go to LA Fitness and ask for Rogelio, you won’t regret it

Nice newer facility, but it’s smaller so there is not as many machines and weights as other locations. They do have a basketball court upstairs. I prefer the Glendale heights location because they have a sauna and more machines and weights. This location works well for me as it’s located right next to i290. That is definitely an asset for my convenience.

My issue is they offer you a free training session when you join. I know my health is no laughing matter hence why I joined the gym but trying to force a training membership down my throat when I need to go through expenses so I dont overdraft my account is also serious. Whomever was managing the trainer pricing etc doesnt need to be so rude. He literally bit my head off because I said I needed to balance my checkbook to see if I could afford it. My health is important but so is my rent so I have somewhere to sleep at night. Im really reconsidering my membership here now because of this. I only go there because its close to work. If I wasnt serious about my health I wouldnt have paid to join a gym. Then to judge me and ask me how much fast food I eat because Im overweight when ACTUALLY I eat VERY healthy. I have to help pay my parents bills but all you care about is commission. I am EXTREMELY baffled at the way I was treated. My trainer was amazing and kind the ONLY reason I added one more star. Whomever that guy was.... wow just plain forceful and rude.

Hours are decent. 5am-11pm weekdays. 8am-8pm weekends. Not overcrowded like other gyms in the area. Has basketball pool and PEOPLE ACTUALLY RERACK THE WEIGHTS PROPERLY. Clean and tidy and only 30 bucks a month 👍🏼.

No sauna, no visit.

Very happy to be a member here. I recently left xsport do to lack of cleanliness and terrible employees. This experience has been the total opposite. Isaac was very forward with me about my membership and payment options. I find myself having longer more efficient work outs! Highly recommend.

They have a huge space with pretty much every piece of equipment. Very friendly staff and awesome. Worth every penny.

I recently had my free evaluation since joining LA Fitness with Michael Bucow. He was very knowledgeable and taught me a great deal about my health/nutrition and how to reach my goals. He explained how long it would take to realistically reach those goals as well, which was great and unexpected. This was by far the best orientation I have ever gotten from any gym. I am excited for the month to come and what LA Fitness has to offer. Highly recommended and very clean facility in Elmhurst.

Gym is Clean, well lit with LEDs, and all options of weight training are available for you to give a shot. personal training sessions are offered for free during entry sign up. (it was kinda just thrown at me with out having a chance to decline form front desk staff) however, it was accepted and i am glad i did, great and friendly experience with LAs trainer Spencer Cotton. I was educated about my goals and shown hands on techniques that surprisingly increased my strength instantly, after my session. I was given options for different prices for the amount of sessions to come, i declined for the time being, but Spencer continued to explain fitness and nutrition showing true passion about his career.

I use to be a member at another LA but the Elmhurst location is by far the best one I’ve seen! I can’t believe it’s been open for 2 years, it still looks brand new! The service is amazing! Ask for the General Manager Isaac when you visit!

The place is brand new. Awesome equipment. But i decided not to get a membership because a team member there kept harassing me with phone calls. If I want to join, Ill call you. I dont need a call every other day.

I give one start because I cannot give 0.The worst place ever. I came to talk about membership and prices as I am very interested in starting the gym. The “person” who I spoke to, he has pushed me in very bad way to pay today the membership whitout even telling me what the offer is and the cost. When I told him I have to see prices and decide, he told me that if I do not pay the membership today, he won’t inform me about the prices. Very disappointed, the worst customer policies ever.

Only went there once using a guest pass from a friend. It is a newer gym and it looks that way. It is nice having pool and basketball court and different types of weights all in one spot. I am not sure about the memberships though but I know some Xsport have different tiers of memberships that allow you to access only certain parts of the gym.

I use the gym all the time. The people are friendly and the facility is always clean. All equipment is in great shape.

Horrible service. Customer service is insanely bad. They only pretend to care when you first walk through the door due to the fact that it is a sales based organization but as soon as you sign the agreement, you be come irrelevant. Here’s a list of things.- Water fountain never works- when it snows, they close down while all the other ones open- oh and the employees are not customer service based.- when you wait at the front desk to ask a question. there is about 5 employees that see you waiting but none come to assist you. They just watch you like you’re a monkey behind glass. This needs to be addressed.- last but not least.... they ask you to leave a “Good review” on yelp, google, and other platforms so they look good. Seriously who asks for a positive review. Your service should speak for itself.RIDICULOUS FOR $35 a month!

Been going here over a year. Clean, quiet and very friendly staff. dont know if I just show up at quiet times or what, but I never have to wait for a machin . Love this gy . I am bipolar and working out is one of my main outlets/stress relie . I am glad to have found a facility I feel comfortable in and Ive seen major progress in both my mind and body!

Beautiful fitness facility! My reason for a lower star review is because the sales pitch was overwhelmingly pushy and we felt cornered a third of the way through the tour and pitch. We actually left without joining simply because he couldnt stop selling long enough to respond to our enquiries and concerns without talking over us or changing the topic to money or getting a membership right away! A shame, considering the facility was almost exactly what we were looking for!

Had a work out with Fransico today and he is a really good trainer and his work outs are excellent.

Modern, clean and best of all hardly anyone in there using all the machines. Front desk staff was very friendly too.

#updated 9/5/18Ive been coming to this location for a year and in general I had good experience until yesterday when my cell phone was stolen from the locker!!! I locked it so someone had to break the lock. When I came back next day to ask if I can post a lost phone note I was told that due to company policy I cannot do that inside the building! Seriously? Not helpful at all. One thing when you dont lock the locker but when someone breaks into the lockers...ridiculous. Also when I was looking for my phone next day in the morning I found another lock in the garbage. I am not saying that this is LA employees fault but just be aware that it happens. Watch out for you valuables!========================================It took me time to get used to closing hours, but this gym is useless for me during weekends (I work these days), because of business hours - 8:00-8:00 is a joke!!! You definitely should expand these hours - at least opening hours! Another thing. You cant get any proteins over there, so if you forgot to take it, youre in a... but there are vending machines (replacement area), where you can buy... guess what!!! sweets full of useless calories!!! And even an antiperspirant! But no proteins... Are you serious??? Is this what you suggest your clients to use as a pre or post workout?Theres no sauna... Seriously?Swimming pool is placed in place where everyone from outside can stare at people. Seriously??? Cant you put any at last half transparent foil on the windows?For good things. Its clean, pretty well equipped, especially with dumbbells, its one of the best looking LA gyms that I saw (especially when I visited the one at Cumberland/ Katherine str, that literally looked like a jail!!!)

Cardio machines are never cleaned. Sweat stains are on almost every machine. Nobody cares despite several complaints. You dont expect this from a premium gym which is less than a year old

The is one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been too!! They also have a top notch employees as well.
