Great environment for kids to focus on learning. My kids been going there for last 4 years, teachers do there best to keep them motivated, which becomes harder as they enter into their teen years. Miss Chen really keeps an eye on each student progress. I must say there times I am not keeping up with kids work but their teacher keep them motivated to strive to be successful in school.

I have been working as a Kumon assistant/tutor for a couple of months now, and I am truly grateful for the atmosphere of the staff and the center to keep me motivated and help children learn. Everyone is very nice, communicative, professional, and the structure of assigning work for kids is very individualized. Each assignment for students is tailored to their own needs and goals. We really try our best to help encourage students to learn and be ahead in school. Despite being in the pandemic, we still try our very best to keep students actively learning for school and improve everyday. I highly recommend parents bringing their kids to this Kumon if they would like their kids to be more academically enriched.

My kids are going to Kumon since last 5 years. I have seen an improvement in their scores and also class participation too. They do offer virtual zoom sessions and are more interactive.We see how this center is helping them to learn and sharpen their critical thinking and problem solving skills.The staff is very well trained and always helpful. Learning plans are more designed individually depending on kids understanding and return work.I definitely have to say Ms.Chen is really awesome in encouraging kids all the time. She is really amazing.If you are looking for a place that will sharpen your childrens Math and Reading skills look no further because Kumon Ellicott city-Normandy is the best Kumon center around.

Kumon of Ellicott City - Normandy is great for developing students learning skills. They offer Math and Reading lessons which can give many students a head start or learn further than what they could be learning in school. All instructors are understanding and hard workers. They help your child with any difficulties your child might be having. Kumon helps your child grow and learn more about Math and Reading. Their lessons are given on worksheets with examples every time they introduce something new. Overall, Kumon is a great way for children to learn and improve with a friendly environment. I would recommend everyone to give at least a month trial in Kumon to see how you like it and hopefully continue so their child(ren) can learn more.

Kumon of Ellicott City-Normandy is awesome! They offer both Zoom tutoring and in-person sessions during this time. It is a worksheet-based program and the instructor and staff are exceptional! The assistants are incredibly hard-working and the instructor there is super dedicated to her students. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to enroll their child in an after-school learning program!

My son enrolled in Kumon Math program at Normandy since 6th grade. He got into the habit to do math practice everyday for 5 years. Before we realized it, he reached the O level and finished the whole Math program in Kumon. Attending Kumon helped my son in the Math class tremendously; he excel in Math class in school; he was able to study college level Math classes in his junior year.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Kumon accommodated our vacation schedule as well. My son brought the math questions with him while we were on vacation. While we came back from vacation, he would brought the papers to Kumon for grading.All this factors contributed to the successful experiences of my family with Kumon at Normandy. I would love to recommend Kumon at Normandy to anyone of my friends.

Kumon is a great educational institution comprising of many different levels of both math and reading learning, progressively getting more sophisticated. The Kumon system allows for students to comprehensibly develop math and reading skills at every level, it allows for students to return to and review levels they may be weaker in, thus developing a strong educational base. Kumon also provides for a great academic environment, with knowledgeable tutors to provide personalized academic assistance.

We use the Kumon of Ellicott City-Normandy for my three children. Both their in-person sessions and Zoom tutorings are excellent sources to meet the needs of my children. The director is well organized and professional. The communication is very timely. She understands each child very well. I strongly suggest reaching out to the director, who has so many years of experience. Also, the teachers are amiable and awesome!!!!

I attended Kumon from first grade to sixth grade, when I first started I was an on grade student in elementary school and was a year younger than all of my peers. A few years later, I was able to advance from on grade to above grade and eventually GT. I became very comfortable with the work given to me in school and performed extremely well. Each kid at Kumon receives quality education and develops skills that they can use throughout their academic career.

Great facility in that it effectively tutors and teaches their students to really go above and beyond in their learning. During this time of covid, Kumon has done a great job on putting a big emphasis on sanitation and I can say that I feel safe sending my child there. Would recommend Kumon for parents wanting to give their child a head start in school or just enrichment of their studies!

I attended Kumon as a Middle Schooler (6th grade - 9th grade in High school). I was an on-grade level student, however, Kumon propelled me to being a GT student in high school (2 years above grade level). Ms Chen pushes her students in the best way possible to achieve beneficial goals in the long run.

KUMON of Ellicott City-Normandy truly stands out as a highly-quality after-school learning program! The instructor, Ms. Chen, has 20 years of experience and focuses on each and every student’s progress and ability. Due to COVID-19, there is also one-on-one Zoom tutoring offered to families that choose to have virtual learning. For in-center sessions, there is a temperature check and strict mask policy, sneeze guards throughout the center, hand sanitizers throughout the center, as well as proper social distancing. Tables and chairs get wiped before and after each student sits down. Would recommend this center to anyone wanting a great learning experience for their child!
