Usually I have had good experiences with H&R Block, but this appointment my tax lady was extremely curt, and outright rude! I will not put names on here, but for someone in the business for 24 years to act so huffy and disappointed in me for having a complicated return... was surprising to say the least. I actually *apologized* to her for having a complex return (she was visibly agitated so I thought it would make it better). She completely ignored my “sorry” and said nothing. She spent the latter half of the appointment sighing audibly and refusing to make eye contact...PIECE DE RESISTANCE: as I was leaving, she said snarkily, while I was still standing there, to her next appointment “you don’t have any surprises for me do you?!?”Taxes are already stressful enough, there is a reason I PAY someone to do my complicated taxes- I do not expect to get this kind of attitude from a seasoned professionalWill NOT be returning for 2021 returns to this location.

My taxes are always scheduled with John Kondulis who always does a good job. He is very thorough, and completes them in a timely manner.

John Kondulis did a great job with our taxes the past two years. He is friendly and knowledgeable which is a great combination for us because we ask lots of questions.

I have been coming to H & R block since tax year 2012 (eight years) to Ellen Dana in the Enchanted Forest Ellicott City. I am power of attorney for my mother and Ellen prepares her taxes as well. I already have my appointment for March of next year. Ellen does a great job of explaining our options for filing and answers all questions I have. I am sure I am paying the correct amount of taxes and getting all the deductions to which I am entitled. This year was my first full year of retirement and due to the change in the standard deduction I was able to file this way for the first time.

Ellen Dana gives us peace of mind about our tax returns. She is knowledgeable and professional. And she is very personable. Ms. Danas work for us over the years is the reason we return to H&R Block year after year because of our confidence in Ms. Dana and our good rapport with her. It is literally true that we enjoy our appointments with her.

My taxes are simple and the cost to prepare by H&R Block is high for such a simple return, no itemization. I dont need any other service from HR Block. The cost for a simple, no itemization return is expensive.

Horrible experience overall. I am a returning customer to H&R block. Hrblock does not do anything helpful for returning customers I have realised. I went to them because I have a semi more difficult return. My tax guy was Chris brennan. At the end of my first appt, I found out that my cost was going to be $200. He did not go over the cost in the beginning. I printed out a coupon from my work that should get me $25 off... Well he searched for the fine print thats Id new customers only. So as a returning customer you get nothing. Next at my second appt a week later, I found out that I have to mail my own taxes in. After paying $200 to have them done, I have to send in my own paperwork. I dont feel like Chris knew what he was doing. I went to hrblock because they should know what they are doing. I def will not be recommending them to anyone.
