Love this place!! Staff always friendly, food always hot and fresh.

Definitely my Dads favorite restaurant. I can get tired if it going 3 or 4 times per week, but not him!! I REALLY like their baked beans, cornbread pudding, sweet potatoes w/ marshmallows and granola and lastly their pulled pork. All around good service and good food !!👌 A++

The staff was very polite and happy to do what they do. Where Im from Golden corral went bankrupt and shut down, so I have not been able to have this for years now. The fact that a buffet is open is wonderful and even more amazing that it is made into a truck stop eatery. Roping off the islands and going from wait staff to server is a great idea to keep it up and running, other buffets should consider taking after this example here. Wonderful establishment!

**Before I rate please note that the staff who always seem friendly and work hard for you work off tips so leave something nice not just a buck and coins**So this is a buffet chain and that always means skimpy on quality to provide you with quality. But they take pride if making it the best they can and provide you with the best service $12s can be. I think there whole chain needs a makeover as with time things get old and look old and to me seem less clean even if they really are.

Was at the truck stop for two nights and so not usually being able to eat good food I ended up eating here two nights in a row. My first night the service was mediocre at best. I had to keep asking for refills and had to find my own utensil set. However, on my second visit, I met a server by the name of Shay and she was the absolute best ever!! Very polite and very much on top of things. Friendliest server ever!! Kept my tea filled and was always asking if I was okay. Even though she is pregnant I think shes one of the hardest workers there. I truly wish her and her baby the best!!

The only reason this place is remotely worth 1 star is because of our server. Terri. Shout out to you sweetheart, you can keep a drink filled in multiple seats faster than any server Ive ever had. Sweet as pie. But the food. Dear God the food was horrid. I tried a few different things hoping I would be at least be satisfied by one thing. WRONG. The fried chicken wasnt crunchy it was soaked in oil even though I pulled it off the top on purpose. The potatoes were crunchy and undercooked. The bourbon street chicken was so dry I had to drink an entire glass down with it. I remember a visit to an eerie golden corral that was so significantly better than this. This location needs to step its game up.

I loved it here. Steak was cooked to order. Food was fresh and dessert was awesome. Will be going again.

The food wasnt what I expected,its next to a gas station, so I shouldve known that was a red flag LOL. This isnt the Golden Corral I known as a kid🤧😂. Im going to the one down Bensalem which I pray remained the same🙏🏽💯, but this is a one and done for me. Servers was polite though, refills is A1All you can burp😂😂😂

Food was great. Nice buffet. Had a really down home southern meal with Pulled Pork, Fried Okra, Cabbage, etc .. just like where I grew up in Carolinas. Brought back memories of home. Wish they brought Golden Corral back to Dover Delaware. We really miss having one in our area.

Our server Cheryl was the utmost dream come true for hungry travelers. She welcomed us and tended to our table very well. She also gave the other dining guests perfect attention.The food was so awesome and delicious. Our friends were emailed and invited to come with us when we dine at this restaurant again and we will be dining there again even though its a long drive but well worth the day trip.

The food here was terrible. The corn bread was not done. All of the good vegetables were made a with pork. Some of the plates and utensils were still dirty. The Mac n cheese was terrible. And the place just looks dirty overall. Needs a new chef and update! ASAP!!!!!

Buffet with all you can eat lunch with salad bar and an endless buffet also with desserts. Oh, the food is very good, especially the fried chicken and meatloaf. Plenty of veggies also

By far one of the BEST Golden Corral Ive ever been too. Southern hospitality with fresh, flavorful food. Was a bit skeptical as we pulled in because its attached to a truck stop, but Im beyond satisfied. We stopped after a day at the Bronx Zoo. Plenty of food choices.The manager on shift was helping throughout the restaurant, sweeping, replenishing food and cleaning up counters. Will definitely stop here again.

The staff is great. They seem to be short staffed (as is the case everywhere right now). It wasnt crowded however, the eggs were cold. With eggs being the main part of a breakfast meal, for me personally, this is not good. I got scrambled eggs at the buffet. Then, on my second serving, I got scrambled eggs near the grill, thinking they would be more fresh. They were also cold. So, for anyone going here for breakfast, the best thing to do, would be to order your eggs special at the grill, if you want them to be hot.

Good food. Nice and clean. A bit expensive... about $90 for a family of 5. As if the buffet isnt expensive enough then you have to pay another few dollars to have a drink. The waiter was a little slow but was friendly maybe just not enough staff. We will be back just not as often as we would like.

Was disappointed this time. Service was okay at best and for the first time I had to butter my own toast. Server didnt seem to care. It took more time to take my order and for it to come out than it usually does. Could have been the time of day, but shouldnt be an excuse.

I just want to thank a very special worker lamonte at the Golden Corral for turning my wallet i lost and left there, and for his honesty. That is a very valuable citizen and worker . God will bless him and good things in life will happen for him . It’s nice to know there are caring and honest people in the world . Its been months since Ive had a really good meal. Prices are too high, quality sucks for the prices you pay at all the fancy restaurants but GC was the best. Thank you so much. Very glad your back and running again.

Very clean and fresh food! Good people except for guy who serves steak. Not very friendly and doesnt answer when you ask a question. Everyone else is great. One of best Golden Corrals.

This is not upscale dining ( its attached to a truck stop) but if youre looking for some comfort food and multiple choices, its a great place to go. Quick and Easy.

So not a big buffet fan, got stuck in the truck stop for a couple days & decided to make it go & try the buffet. We went for lunch, they had a pretty good selection of meat, vegetable’s, dessert’s & salad’s. Overall the food was fresh. However, some of the food was cold. E.G. Tater tots, baked chicken, pizza, popcorn shrimp & hush puppies. So the buffet could used to be attended a bit more. Service was fantastic, friendly staff. The restaurant is nice and clean as well. It was disappointing to me that the line cook’s should take more pride in their stations. Also, when we came back for dinner the following day everything was still the same from the lunch buffet ( same menu everyday, except for weekends) every day they have sirloin steak after 4 o’clock & the desert station was awesome. That’s basically it. Overall it’s what I expect at a buffet.

Food was good but dessert needed some help. Food cards that said what it was, alot were not in the right spot. So I think whoever is putting food out needs to be more careful with placing things out.Prices were good.Its very clean and food seemed fresh. Table server that brought drinks waa nice but extremely slow. My drink was empty for 10 to 15 min before she filled it again and it was not that busy.

The only reason I gave them a five, is because of the Covid rules they have.Social distance. People serve you and nobody touches anything 💯.They where doing everything by the book.My husband and I was also glad we were able to enjoy Golden Coral for once.Either there closed or we didnt want to go in because of Covid.We had to-go and that was perfect for us.The food was fresh and tasted really good.Everything thing had flavor. Well the items we picked did.Only thing!!!! if you do get it to go make sure you let Them know to put in separate container. So everything is not piled up in one container.I wont make that mistake again.

I dont remember her name but, she works the Morning Shift. She Should be Employee of the Week, Month and, Year every time it comes up. She did everything except Cook. And, everything she did she did it above and, beyond. Very Friendly, Attentive and, Fast. Her Service was even better than the Food. And, the Food was Really Good. The Young Man that worked with her was also friendly and, helpful.

I started visiting this location a few years ago. I am a trucker that lives in upstate NY. I usually park at the TA truck stop down the road. The TA has little to no food to offer and has gone downhill over the last several years.The Flying J featuring Golden Corral is one of the few places in the area that truckers can get a hot meal.Would like to shout out to Chastity. This young lady has been my server almost exclusively since I began patronizing Golden Corral in Elkton.Typically you will see the other staff in the far dining room area playing on their phones or in small groups chatting. Not Chastity. Chastity does not stop working. Doesn’t stop moving.As you watch the staff you will easily identify which one she is. She is the one wiping tables, changing the pans for our food, helping guests that are not hers.It is impressive to see such a young person work so hard when staff older than her are barely working.I always tip this young lady very well. By very well I tip her an average of $20 on a $15ish check.I pay the check which pays for the food. My tip pays for the service. The service is amazing. She sells herself short working there in my opinion but it’s to the customer benefit she chooses to be a server there.Hopeful this review encourages others to work as hard as her. Hopefully her management sees this review and gives her the recognition she richly deserves.

I wish I would have taken pictures. I’m not one to leave a bad review but the customer service was terrible, after finally finding a somewhat clean table, I waited 20 minutes for my drinks and utensils. The food was not bad, but what makes the restaurant is how customers feel and if they want to come back. If I didn’t pay first I would have walked right back out because they were no options for seating. And when we did find a seat the table was sooo sticky. Then to top it off two employees started arguing right in front of us. I had my children with me and we usually do Sunday dinners out. This was not a well spent Sunday & we drove in from out of town. Super disgusted

Well, Im not the biggest fan of this establishment as a whole. Food is always sloppily presented, service is subpar, and the place is usually dirty. This location didnt disappoint. It achieved all 3 of these issues and more. Only good thing is my father in law liked it, and thats why we went in the first place...

The food is amazing. The pot roast is my favorite by far. But, as long as it’s tender(which it was) I’m a fan. Mashed potatoes were good. Stuffing mmmm. All around good food. Will come back when I drive thru this area again.

Hello there folks, August 26th 2021 11 a.m. lunch time, I ate at Golden Corral Elkton Maryland inside the Flying J Truck Stop. Had lunch with sweet tea it was $11 in change. Hope you get a chance to come on come on lets eat 5 gold stars for Golden Corral.

Great and plentiful veggie options. Meats were really solid as well. I didnt find honey butter for the yeast rolls though.

My kids love this place. I enjoy the deals.

The lunch was simply wonderful. I wanted breakfast and take out orders were the only thing being offered

Minimum cleaning done. Food was nasty. Pulled chicken was actually leftover fried chicken and tasted spoiled. I spit it out to avoid food poisoning. We will never go back.

My husband and I have been visiting this place once a year as part of our trip back home from the OBX. We absolutely love the GC and love this place. This chicken, steak and pies were all amazing. Our server was absolutely lovely.The only downside is the line of folks waiting to get seated. The cashier seemed to have troubles keeping up, or just didnt care about getting people seated quickly. With that being said, its absolutely worth the wait.We wish that the GCs in upstate NY would open back up. Such a shame that the owners had to get greedy and got caught. Well see you guys next year! Excellent dinner. I got dinner to go their pot roast had real meat in it instead of the small shreds I normally get from Flying J. The salad was simple and crisp, just the way I like them.

This is the most beautiful dining experience I had during my trip. People are great, prices affordable, place is clean and well organized. Please dont hesitate to stop by whenever you have the opportunity.

I was there during dinner rush. Alot of people but still easy to get your food.

The service is good, but the food is not..I have gotten the baked fish, rice green beans and potatoes.This rice and potatoes was good, but the fished was plain tasting and not cooked all the way. The green beans taste like they was in a can not fresh. First time ever going there will not be returning. I tipped the waitress and didnt even care for a full refund.

I came when I visited Delaware. The food was good . I loved the fact they had everyone where gloves when going to get food and wear ur mask. They stayed on top of the food when it was running low and everything was hot . They stayed whipping down things staff was friendly . Just the hush puppies was too hard other than that it was good and I will definitely return.

If you can stomach a buffet during the pandemic, this place was not bad. Cleanliness was surprisingly great and the food was really good. We stopped out of necessity on a road trip, but were pleasantly surprised. The bathrooms were hit and miss as they are attached to a truck stop - the womens was very clean but the mens room was quite nasty.

Several buffet items were tasteless. Signature Pot roast; meatloaf out too long. Customer service was good.

Food was good and was reasonably priced. Fried chicken was excellent!

Golden Corral has always been a great place to eat, but yesterday July 19 I stopped by about 330 and I purchased some takeout orders for my Sister and I, this time the food was very bland, the sweet Tea wasnt sweet and Im very disappointed with one of my favorite Restaurants in Elkton

Food was ok. Seemed fresh enough. The service was pretty rancid from the moment we walked through the door. Maybe its just the area. Nobody seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Cashier and waitress that was serving us at first were awful. For whatever reason another server took over and she was much more welcoming. We ate and got out before someone burned a hole through us with their eyes. Maybe they just arent used to southerners up here. Very different culture than Im used to.

Surprisingly good food for a buffet. Ive never actually been in this place before and when I went in I was pleasantly surprised what I found. If you choose wisely there are good food options, if you choose poorly there are bad food options. There are tons of desserts. The price is very reasonable especially if you can beat the dinner rush and get there around 4:00 p.m. before prices go up.

Absolutely the worst buffet I have ever eaten at. Walked out and got sick almost right away. Food was over salted or bland. Only saw the waitress twice, once when we got there and once later. Chance of us returning, zero.

Breakfast food was cold. Not just one thing. all of it. Sausage and sausage gravy had a very bitter after taste. Pancakes not cooked completely. Only positive thing was our server. Mija(?) Unfortunately we will not be returning for breakfast.

Great place to come here to dine in with your family or kids. The food is delicious mostly the steak, Everytime I come here I go after the steak because of how much flavor and juicy it is. The waitress are sweet and always checking up on you. There is a functioning chocolate fountain thats usually clean and ice cream machine as well. Mercedes is very kind when we go there to eat. Definitely would recommend coming here because my daughter enjoys being here.

What do I say,ITS GOLDEN CORRAL!It is always clean and staffed plenty, but I am sure like any other place they have issues with staff and things of the such. Stopped at this one plenty of times. No complaints here. Keep up the good work.1 Suggestion for all the locations in Truck Stops. Can we get a professional drivers section, most of us only need 1 seat yet we take up an entire table or booth making it hard to find seating. Maybe some stools and a bar to eat at or just 2 top tables in the back room and open up your front room for everyone else.

I used to be a customer here after today no more. I walk in covering my face with my shirt, I wanted to order and go, instead I was told I need a mask. Despite the fact there were people sitting down eating without masks on needless to say covid-19 is a playing factor in this as well as the staff who tell me its the law that I need to wear a mask. They couldnt serve me without a mask they offered me one at a 69 charge I told him Im not paying for a mask and paying for my food
