This place is a SCAM. The rebuilt the transmission on one of our pilot cars and the transmission went out within 3 weeks of the rebuild. They claim 3 year warranty on the transmission but when contacted about fixing it they quit answering the phone and wont talk to the boss or the shop that has to do the new rebuild. SCAM SCAM SCAM. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON.

The worst experience I’ve had with a mechanic. I’ve already taken my truck to get it fixed 3 times. The owner said he would install new one the first time but only rebuilt it. 2 days later it broke down. Then he was trying to charge meanother $950 for that driveshaft and the pinion. I took the transmission the last 2 times to get it replaced the second it lasted 3 days and the 3rd time it last only 2 days. Terrible service the owner is a liar.

I’ve taken 3 trucks in the past year here to Alamo. I now have a trusted transmission shop to go to. Took Azzam my 2017 Raptor after I blew the transmission and he only charged me labor. No up selling or gimmicks. 2001 V10 Dodge Ram, I thought the truck was done for, but he fixed the truck and now have been running strong for 1.5 years more to this date. My poor Caddilac Escalade had a shower of an oil leak and he fixed it without hesitation.Least to say Azzams shop is now my pit stop when needing service! Great person! Thanks again

Needed a new transmission so i decided to give them a chance. The owner made it so convincing that it would be done soon, three months later i pick it up, drove it for a day and the transmission went out again. So i took it back to get it replaced and now its still leaking and im waiting for them to fix it. Its a brand new transmission so i dont see why it should be leaking. Id recommend doing your research and try not to get scammed

Had my 1988 jeep towed here by this shop I know what was wrong with it. Told the owner what it was. my clutch went out which I know it would he quoted me a price but I know I had some leaks in the transmission he told me everything I know what was wrong with it without me telling him had him do the job took a week which was good because I didnt get payed till the end of the week any way he said he would start the work any way coast more then I expected but reasonable he worked with me and now my jeep is running good thxs Alamo Transmission great job

Had a transmission fixed on my Cadillac twice with these guys the second time they left my car with no oil. And didn’t fix the leaks that i had paid them to be fixed, took it back again they LOOKED at it said there was not any. needless to say about 3gs I had to take it to a reliable mechanic to fix their problem. last time doing business with you guys.

Rip off! Take your car to professional mechanics! I decided to give this small business a chance since I live in the neighborhood but now I regret it! Ihad several repairs done on my Toyota truck. Drove it for about 30 miles and it was back in the shop. It spent the next three months in the shop, owner Azzam kept giving me different excuses and at one point, blamed one of his mechanics, Alex, for the delays. Four months later, the truck was still not safe to drive. I decided to have it towed to a professional shop, Fox Toyota. Come to find out that the truck had been moved to the back so I wouldn’t see that the passenger side mirror was missing! Fox Toyota informed me that some of the parts had been spray painted black, fresh paint smell. I will be pursuing legal action. These people should not be doing business in our neighborhood! I wonder if they can even change the filter and oil in a car properly!

My truck would not start. I called Alamo Transmissions. They send me a tow truck right away. No charge. Got my truck fixed. Pricing was great and so was the customer service.

My car broke down on the far west side, and Alamo Towing was there to pickup my vehicle in under an hour. The owner is very professional and knowledgeable, and I definitely would use their services again!

I took my truck in for what I thought was my transmission turns out it was just a misfire on the engine. They only charged me $325 to fix. I was ready to spend thousands on a new transmission. Thank u for being honest with me highly recommend.

I was having break problems after my spark plugs were change. Customer service was great I was approached in a very friendly manner, mechanic checked out the problem and fixed it very quickly. Definitely will be coming back for future fixes.

I’m grateful to this company and I’m upset at myself for not having taken my car there to get the clutch installed but instead I took my vehicle to have the c/v axles and something else that has to do with the axle.

On November 1 2019 I took my van because if a loose alternator wire that was killing my battery. After one day they told me it was ready. Im thinking at the most I would pay about 150 dollars. The bill was 775 dollars!! I could not believe it. They couldnt justify the the amount of labor to charge that much.They didnt install any parts only some electrical tape. Im no dummy I am capable of fixing my own van but I just didnt have any time since I was leaving town. The guys name is Alex. Be careful and hold on to your money and go somewhere else. These guys will rip you off..

I came to fix my radiator and they did a great job my car feels like new again ! The workers are fast and friendly and the owner gave me a great deal and was very nice. I definitely will be coming here again

A COMPLETE RIP OFF!! I took my truck to this shop because there was a strange metal to metal scraping sound which came from the middle front of my truck. They told me I had a bad up joint and my brakes were bad. Which didnt fix the problem. I took it back in then they told me I had a bad clutch and that they I had the wrong air compressor for my truck. At the end they didnt fix the issue I wanted fixed. I ended up paying 1500 in total. I dont recommend this place to anyone. I took my truck to another shop and they had other problem fixed that same day. It turns out I had a bad differential. Alamo transmission was a big headache and a waste of money.

My transmission was acting up. My grandpa recommended me to Alamo Transmissions. He had his transmission done there 10 years ago and he is still driving the same car today. I was Not Dissapointed! They fixed my car and they have financing available!! I would recommend it any time of the week!! Thank you Azzam!!

This place is a rip off. They charged me $1500 for labor just to tell me I need a new transmission. If it was a negative stars I would add it here. MILITARY do not go here they will charge you and will promise a discount but won’t give it to you.

Owner tried convincing me it was the transmission ($2,500)I took it to ORiley turned out to be two sensors, I bought them and went to another mechanic to have them replaced.

Im new to this city a friend of mine told me about alamo transmission so I called them up asked them for a quote for my 2000 ford f150 was not going in to gear so they told me they can pick it up they sent me a tow truck a week later I had my truck running again thank you guys 😊 I will tell my friends and family about you guys

Good Evening My name is Adrian and I wanted to Say Thank You to Sam and Staff. I saw the only review on this Auto shop and Who ever wrote it had to be Fake or just looking to hurt this Company. Well anyway I took my Mitsubishi Mirage 96 and had a bad oil leak and some seals that popped off. Not only did Sam have one of his Guys Shuttle me back to work but had the car Ready next Day. Come to realize a couple day later similar problem arose but was not charged and was Fixed. Great Job Guys for Being a True Blue Auto Shop and Thank you for Such a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!

Doesnt even deserve 1 star, theyll lie to make you think that they have to keep your car for 1 day to fix and convince you theres more wrong than what it seems so they can take your car and threaten you with a mechanics lien after they claim to have payment plans and you go to pick up and no such plans exist.

I would give 0 if possible. Owner fixed my friends car without permission and then said she owes him over $3000. She lost her car because of this liar who wouldn’t work with her for payments. She even offered to sign a contract. Total pos!!!

I took my truck here because there was a knocking noise coming from underneath. I left it thursday afternoon and they told me they were gonna inspect it and call me the next morning but i never recieved a call. I called them a couple times on friday and they would say they still hadnt checked it. So on saturday i called and they said they didnt find nothing but that the only thing they found was a nail on the tire. When i took the truck there was no nail. So i went to go pick it up and it was a gash with a screw on the sidewall which there was no way of fixing it also my gas cap was missing. I told the owner and he said he couldnt do anything that because things like that happen. So i had to go buy a new tire and a gas cap. Keep in mind its a 33 x 12.5 r20 and it had about 85 percent thread. Dont take your vehicle here. They dont know how to treat a client and wont pay if they damage something. I should have read the reviews before taking it there. Never bringing any vehicle here again!!!

My check engine light had turned on and I decided to take it here for a diagnostic. I was told that a circuit was broken as well as an overheating problem. I asked the man (Sonny?), who claimed to be the owner, what my options were and he said he couldnt do anything but open up my transmission and see. I asked if he could give me an estimate so I was aware of how much money Id have to spend and he said he couldnt tell me which was very odd and basically sucked. It just didnt make sense to me that he couldnt give me a ballpark of the cost. Two days later he calls me saying basically my transmission is messed up and he needs $1750 to fix it and when I asked for my other options since I couldnt come up with that much money on the spot he said he couldnt do anything because he took apart my whole transmission. Anyways, had to get my jeep towed out of there and was left with more problems to deal with. Save yourself the trouble!

Still amazed with the service got a tune up on my car and had it ready by the same day.

In Nov 2015 RIP OFF!! RIP OFF!! it is now July 2016!! Im in the military with a family of 6 including myself. Took our suburban there to get transmission checked out. SAM and SKULLY took it apart and said it will be no charge to break it down and take a look. He told me it needs to be rebuilt......Then he gave me a price. I wanted to take it somewhere else but he said CANT do. He must REBUILD it. Claimed it couldnt be put back together. So we had no choice but to let him fix it for nearly $2400. After their work on it 2 weeks later I had the same problem. Took it back under warranty but shortly after twice more same problem. Took it back 3 times. Claimed it was fixed 3rd time. Family(of 5 wife was pregnant w/6th)and we moved from TX. Transmission failed 4th time when we got to Louisiana on the HWY. Called, they BLEW me OFF!!!! Will be suing because they refuse to refund me.

Googled muffler shops El Paso and these guys dont do catalytic converter. When I called I couldnt tell if guy was rude or just didnt speak English.

Well for starters my transmission was going completely I lost the 3rd and 4th gear and the torque converter was shot Sam and his team of experts told me what was wrong with my car before charging me and thats a BIG PLUS to me alot of shops will charge you then you whats wrong with it then charge you even more to fix it thats not the case at Alamo Transmission they took very good care of me Also they found other issues with my Buick roadmaster along the way that they took care of fixing it in a timely manner so thats another plus I would more diffently recommend Alamo Transmission to any one they are the best Thanks Azzzam

After calling them out on the lack of service I paid for, they agreed to do the service i paid for. I marked the gasket and pan to see if it was removed and gasket replaced. They wasted my time yet again. After waiting two hours for them to do the service, i inspected to see if they indeed do the job this time. Again I was disappointed. This place does nothing but steal your money. Save your self the trouble and go somewere else.

They worked on my car transmission for 2500$ cash in September of 2015, in October 2015 I was going at the flea market in Fox Plaza and the transmission fluid came out. We brought it back to them and they said is the engine. We given him 1000$ down payment to fix it and is June 2016 and I need to call the police to can get my car because they didnt let us pick it up.

When my transmission gave out they helped me out and did a good job, transmission work is expensive, but I trust these guys more than any else
