Geary Floors has done an Amazing job installing new wood flooring in my home and now just fixing and refinishing my wood flooring in my new office! Tad has been Super helpful and so has the other employees that I have met. Their prices are Great and their work is Excellent!

I hired Geary for the first time to refinish/repair hardwood floors in my home. As promised, they came out looking like new, including some sections that were in very bad shape. The crew was friendly and responsive to my requests. I spoke to a higher up in the company about some communications that could have been better and he welcomed the critique rather than get defensive about it. I appreciate that.

Echoing the sentiments mentioned in earlier reviews on Geary Floors, they definitely know their craft, take pride in their work, are professional, communicate well, and follow through on promises. As we were planning out our whole-house floor refinishing project, Tad at Geary was with us every step of the way. Because the project required us to move 80% of the household furniture off the hardwood floors, we had to schedule the project a couple of months ahead of time (over the Christmas/New Years break). Tad answered follow-up texts and even came back out to the house a few weeks before the project to completely review the quote, the work to be done, and the vacuuming/clean up procedure they were going to take (sanding is obviously very dusty). Tad even came up with a plan to move the baby grand piano. He built small plywood platforms with casters for the three piano legs, lifted it (with three men) onto the casters, and rolled it to a tile location in the house.When the project commenced, Tad, Dominic, and Eduardo showed up early and got started quickly. They spent a bit of time with me in the AM reviewing the proposed schedule and then they took the rest of the day masking off areas we wanted protected from the dust (the kitchen, entryways, hallways, bedrooms, and built-in bookshelves/libraries). Because the floors had not been touched since they were installed 30 years ago, the sanding process took a bit longer than they expected. Additionally, the first finish coat did not meet their expectations, so they performed rework (sanding and recoating) at no additional expense to us. The finished product was beyond our expectations (see photos).The day Tad came back to settle up the bill, he brought two other workers with him (sorry, I have forgotten their names). They moved one piece of heavy furniture and the piano back into place and then proceeded to walk the whole house to do a final review of the job with me. On his own accord, he spent another 30 minutes scraping paint drips that _I LEFT_ on the floors after I painted the baseboards. (At the beginning of the project, I agreed to paint the baseboards, knowing that there would be some scuffs marks and finish here/there as part of the normal process.). The other two guys went behind him to wipe up.We found Geary on Yelp and are overwhelmed with the value they provided on this project. We would definitely not hesitate to refer EVERYONE to them for flooring projects!

We had our late 1950s red oak floors refinished by Geary floors. The estimate was quick, fair priced and competitive, and Tad was completely honest about the hard work and quality we would see at the end of the job. The Geary team was on time each morning, they worked fast and diligently. They replaced a few boards and you cant tell the difference between the new and the restored wood, it all looks amazing! They installed a transition from my tile to the wood floor and it is very impressive. When we get ready to do the rest of the floors in our house, we will be using Geary Floors again. My only complaint was the amount of dust left on every single surface in my home. The team only used one dust cover between the kitchen and the living room while they were working, and midway through the sanding portion, that divider was down. Id would have liked to see the bedrooms, which were not being worked on, covered at the doorways. I expected some dust, but without a drop in the doorway, the duat was literally in every single nook and cranny in all of my bedrooms. Overall, I was very pleased with the job well done by Geary. I highly recommend Geary flooring! Our new and refinished hardwood floors look beautiful and the job exceeded our expectation! They replaced boards and took the time to repurpose wood boards from closets, sand, finish and they took time to leveling the floors etc the energy improved in 2 areas of the home. Geary Floors took the time to consult with us, provide samples so we could choose paint Colors etc., The professional team took great care and pride in every step. Oh... We also had Geary floors do Proxy flooring- another product to - our garage floor, it’s awesome ;) sooo happy we did! Our “1959 ” house looks completely updated! We are thrilled!!

Geary Floors refinished the original red oak floors in my entire house, replaced damaged boards and laced in a section of new flooding. They provided good workmanship and were responsive during the project. They provided color samples and were very reasonably priced. They completed the job in a timely manner and I was overall satisfied with the final product. I would recommend Geary Floors for the job.

Weve had Geary Floors do 2 major wood installation projects. The first was to add wood to one area to match original wood in the rest of the house, and the second was a 2-story install (nearly whole house). Both times they were phenomenal to work with.Over the course of the two jobs we worked with several of their crew members. Best Flooring Contractor in town by a mile. From the first call all the way until the final touch on my new hardwood floors, the Geary Floors team was amazing . They are honest, friendly and they know their product better than anyone . We asked if they could recommend a solution to upgrade a tricky stair area. They came back with a plan that seemed unreal . Then they made it happen . The final product is mind blowing and I cant thank Sean and Matt enough for making my Home look so top notch . We had them refinish the original hardwood floors in our 1952 home and they did an amazing job. All of the employees were very polite and respectful and did a great job replacing a handful of damaged boards that we had. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone looking for hardwood flooring installation or repairs.
