A job to sandblast and paint 5 pieces of wrought iron was agreed upon with San Diego Dustless Sandblasting, at 1427 Pioneer, El Cajon, for $600-800. The price quickly moved to $800-1000, then was followed by a statement from Richard to keep it around $1000. A few days later the price had moved to $1200, the final price went all the way up to $1390. The reason given for the price change was due to the difficulty of the project for this company and the promise of the rails to be painted 3 times. After the price doubled from the initial quote, I opted for a cash price of $1200.The rails were ABSOLUTELY NOT painted three times, they were painted very poorly one time. There is one large area that was not painted at all, and was confirmed by Richard that it hadn’t been painted. There are many small areas that have zero paint on them. This is not just one piece of rail but all of them have missing paint areas.I called Richard concerning this matter and he said he wanted to make it right. He had plans, at a given time, to come to the home where the rails were to see what could be done. He did not make this appointment but did phone me to let me know. On that phone call, we mutually agreed on a refund of $300. We set up tentative plans to meet the next day, with a promise from Richard that he would call me in the morning with a time and address to meet. I was set up, he did not call or answer my text or multiple phone calls.San Diego Dustless Sandblasting did not provide the service they stated they would. They raised their price 4 times. They lied about calling back, making it right, and returning the agreed amount of $300 and now they do not answer my calls or get back to me.This is not a company that should be trusted or used when there are others that are honest, back up their work and have pride in the work they provide.

Couldnt be bothered to give a quote. I would think a professional business would be able to have a rough idea if how long certain job would take. You cant give me a quote without seeing the job, obviously, I get that. But if i tell you, this is the condition of what i want sandblasted I would think a professional business would be able draw on experience and know that this kind of job typically takes between x and y hours to complete, so I as the potential customer can have an idea ofwhatImto spend instead of repeating the hourly rate and then going into what thier overhead costs are. Instead, the guy got irritated and annoyed when I tried to explain what I was looking for.

I asked this company to media blast my 1969 VW Bus at my home. First, there is nothing dustless about this service. It’s pure hell. They showed up with a Sunbelt Rental and used coal. I expressed my concern that coal will transfer heat and warp the metal. They assured me they do 100s of cars and would test to make sure the metal would not warp. I expected them to use Walnut, they stated it’s banned in CA. THAT IS NOT ACCURATE. I asked for a call back, left a VM for Josh the owner. No call back. I wanted to tell them they ruined the metal on my entire project costing me an additional $7K. I wanted a refund at the very least. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for automotive blasting.
