Had my first appointment today. The office was running late which was fine, but I was on a tight schedule and the office did not provide much communication about a time frame. After being brought back for xrays and sitting in a chair for 15 minutes, the dentist stopped by and did a brief 2 minute look at my teeth and told me I needed treatment for my gums and had a cavity. He then left, and another person came in to explain the treatment cost and explained the exam was over, which is confusing as most appointments are far more in depth. Since I was on a tight timeline I left, planning to call later to ask more questions as I was informed I would be able to do. I then received two more calls stating I had missed my appointment which was confusing to say the least. I told them I was going to call back, but when I did I was told no one had called me. I call the 1-800 line to see if it had been someone from the main office for the company, but was told it was my local office. I called again explaining this, but was treated very divisively and was hang up on before I could as any other questions. Very disappointed as Im sure my insurance will be charged for what was a very minimal checkup. I do not plan to return.

I wish i could give zero stars because this place was the reason I dont like going to the dentist. I just signed up as a first time patient this week because I have been having wisdom tooth pain. The jackass of a dentist downplayed it saying it was because I grind my teeth when clearly in the x rays my wisdom tooth is hitting my molars and nerves! Then they explained that I cant get an extraction in 3 to 4 weeks even with insurance! I called their emergency services and said that another dentist will prescribe me pain meds but havent received anything not even a call back! I was on the phone for an hour and again they werent able to do anything. I described I was in so much in pain and were not budging my need. Im taking my business elsewhere. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. ITS BETTER TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I did not want to visit any dental place; scary as to cost and confusion of making decisions about what would be needed.The staff at Western Dental in El Cajon, CA were awesome. Everyone seemed willing to help and were very patient with me asking questions; even some repeat questions while trying to understand all that was being told to me.Rather frightening thing about costs and how to afford and what procedures could I do with out to keep cost down. Jasmine in the front office was awesome helping me understand and get insurance to help absorb some costs and make my needed work affordable.Lorena the RDA was very professional and fun while doing my dental impressions. Ms Tomas the hygienist was thorough and sincere while walking me through proper brushing and use of fluoride treatment.Had great xray techs, dentist was good and personable. Front desk lady making follow up appointments was helpful and patient. When I had to go back into the office ( another question) before getting into my car, there was another staff member who kindly answered my question.This visit was great and if my treatment appointments go this well I will be a happy camper; can’t recommend this place enough!Thanks

I received excellent customer service from the receptionist letrish, she was amazing !! she walked me through everything. She even helped me with my forms, she kept me informed of the wait time and what to expect when I was called back. Definitely 10 out of 10 although the wait time was a little bit long everybody was friendly and their payment plan made it easy for me to get my treatment done.

The staff there were great. They went above and beyond. Assistants Jenny and Martha were also, great and wonderfully patient with me during the X-ray process. It was a quite the wait before I could be seen, despite having an appointment. I was there longer than anticipated, which I didn’t enjoy but I understand that most doctor offices are short staffed due to COVID-19. However, I am going to continue going there for their dental services.

Came in with a toothache and Dr Nguyen was so nice and helpful. He was able to take care of me on the same day and I felt nothing. I would highly recommend him when you come in to this office.

The worst clinic ever. I have been there just because its close to my house. I really regret that I spent 4 hours waiting till i was seen by Arabic Dr with a scarf or her head she wasnt clear in her explanation..she told I need to go for another clinic because they dont have the ability to extract my tooth...I m sorry for been at that clinic..please who ever seeks clean place a good attitude professional dr ...look for different place rather than western Dr.

Had a great experience here on my first time at this location its pretty busy but the staff was great and MARTHA was on point with the X-rays she made sure I was comfortable and made the process easy, And JASMINE was awesome her energy was great and I appreciate her encouragement and assistants helping me game plan for the best treatment for me it was great If you come here you will be well taken care of and with a better smile..

Albert is friendly and professional. The staff is wonderful as well as the doctor that took car of me. I got a sample kit for teeth whitening too. I cant wait to try it.

Dont waste your time here. Even with an appointment they take way too long to see you. Why schedule me for a certain time if you cant see me until over an hour later? Absolutely ridiculous wait times even when theres only 2 or 3 people in the waiting room. Overall the dentist was ok but not worth having to spend hours at the dentist for a simple check up.

I want to thank Oscar for the Great service and patience with my son. No one was able to take X-rays on him until today. Dr. Nguyen super nice definitely recommend this office.

The front staff was Rude. Did not listen to the patient ability to meet. The receptionist can not work with people just rush everything and not professional.What my thinking is find a better front staff. Going to be a lot of people leaving your place like I did for the new patient.

Today was a good day. Not a long wait, very clean, air conditioning! And I really like Doctor Harris.

Every time I make an appointment, they have other people scheduled at the same time. They even let them go first when I was the one that had been waiting longer. All I got was an x ray and an exam. I really need a cleaning but I had to reschedule that for another time. It’s always the same thing and I never get a cleaning. Really need to find some other place! Oh! And they only have one hygienist working on everyone. So freaking lame!

Both times I went I waited over an hour. The assistant who took my x-rays didnt know what he was doing and took a half hour to take them and he was insanely nervous. Ive been twice and havent even had my cleaning done because they ran out of time the dentist only did 1 of the 3 fillings I needed as well. An hour after I got home an intense throbbing pain started by the tooth that had work done and Ive been taking ibuprofen since then for the pain. Now Im going to a different dentist to have his work checked and to get everything else done.

Oscar was really nice, very professional, great customer service. He didnt take a long time he did what he was supposed to do, he was very attentive and very helpful.

We had a 3:30pm appt and are only just now being seen at 5:00pm. Seriously. Waiting that long is ridiculous. Saving grace they were able to squeeze in fixing the chipped tooth and not make us schedule another appt.

Every time I had an appointment I would not get checked till a hour to an hour and a half and it was to get my teeth cleaned. I took my daughter in to get her braces tighten and it took 5minutes to do that but had to wait for a 1 hour and the lady with blond hair has attitude problem I canceled all my appointments with that office.Idont get why you set an appointment if they are going to make you wait along time.

I had an appointment today at 10:30am. I have already paid for a baby sitter, and was already heading out the door. Then I get a call from western dental a little over an hour before my appointment. They advised me that they were short staffed today, and that they just found that out this morning. It was a big inconvenience for me, and I lost money that I didnt have, for nothing. Very disappointed.

Martha was patient with me while I tried to get my xrays. Letti really put me at ease and great with getting the appointments and payment taken care of. The dr was direct and kind when explaining what he was doing, what needed to be done & what he could do at that time.

My son is in pain, needs a root canal!!! I know this as we have an x-ray…so we found western dental, which claimed that there was absolutely no problem fitting him in for a root canal as he was in pain, and his insurance will be ending on his birthday.. we we’re so excited he’s in so much pain.. we set the appointment explaining everything only 40 day until his insurance is canceled let’s get this root canal done!!.brought my son there for the root canal!!! Hi we made the appointment for the root canal. GOT ANOTHER X-RAY INSTEAD!! He needs a root canal’ REALLY!! IT TOOK 45 minutes for an x-ray not what we went for!!! Was told I needed to call and make the appointment for the root canal in about 2 week as they needed to get a ok from the insurance company first..IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF I HAD BEEN INFORMED..THE APPOINTMENT WAS FOR THE ROOT CANAL!!! My Child’s in PAIN!!! Changing it while I was there is wrong.I explained again we now have 3 weeks to get the root canal done…. They gave me A FLYER ON HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST WITH OUT INSURANCE!!So ok now I know it over 2,500. Root canal 3,500. Or more for the crown!!!IT NOW the 23rd I now have 5 days left to get it done on the insurance!!!BUT NOW IM CALLING EVERY DAY TO SEE IF THERE IS A CANCELLATION TO GET MY CHILD IN FOR THIS ROOT CANAL!!!SHAME ON YOU WESTERN DENTAL!!!!!My child been in pain now for 2 months….

Took me same day for an emergency consultation. Martha, the x-ray tech was so friendly and made it really easy. The Dr. was very patient and expained my issues and what I needed very clearly.

I am still currently here, my appointment was at 10:30, got here at 10:25, and it is currently 11:31. Ive seen people with appointments after me and they left before me, this waiting time they have me doing is ridiculous, i will never again come back here! And to think i wanted to get braces here, i can just imagine, my sons father warned me how long they take and i didnt listen. Havent even went to the back or anything, still waiting for just a cleaning

If you look for serious care for your teeth..please dont go there. They will destroy the rest of your teeth to get money out of whatever insurance you have.

I called on Wednesday to schedule and appointment for an emergency filling. The only appointment they had was on Friday at 10am, 2 days later.I get a call Friday at 9am, saying they have to cancel my appointment!Seems like their goal is to overbook their calendar and cancel on new patients.They did not refer me to another location or care to even try.

Expect to wait 2 hours till you get seen for your appointment. Recommendation to confrim with you appointment 3 times be to sure they do not mess up and waste your time.

I called around 430 and was needing emergency services. I was told by the receptionist that i was calling too late and the earliest appt would be monday. She was very rude and basically made the decision herself that my emergency wasnt important enough to see the doctor . This was so upstting after paying 6000 dollars my dentures were cutting my gums and the dentist told me to come anytime and he would quickly adjust them. This isnt the first time this receptioniet was rude!! I told her the dentist said no appointment needed... Just come in. The employee was just trying to go home and could care less about my dilemma. She should be fired!

I was having an emergency and my mouth was hurting really bad. They were able to get me in asap which I really appreciate. The doctor was very helpful and nice. Unfortunately it will take a few days for the antibiotics to work and Im still in a great deal of pain. I wish I was able to get a shot of novacaine for even temporary relief. But aside from that, I had a pleasant experience and thank the staff immensely.

Dr Berry pulled 4 of my teeth. It was painless and she was super nice! I have had bad experiences with teeth pulling at smilecare years ago and was traumatized. All the doctors at western dental are great. Dr berry was amazing and even joked around with me. Wonderful doctor!! My experience is always great there!!

Where should I start? One of the worst experiences of my life. Western Dental is a money-oriented cattle factory. I began my horror story being forced to sign 4+ pages of fine print that seemingly waived all patient rights. Very thorough, indeed. I suppose it was necessary, considering the experience that followed. The team of professionals must be very rich, actually performing multiple operations at once. Several times, I was left for a time while the doctor or assistant performed surgery/procedures on another patient. I was attacked at all times regarding money, from the initial visit and continuing on a nearly daily basis for almost 6 months. This, although I paid up front by credit card. I also had insurance. Anthem sent me several checks. Including one covering $1,300 in expenses. I asked Western Dental in person and over the phone multiple times (7x all together) if I could pay that $1,300, but was told every time that they had no bill for me. But they continued to contact me nearly every day to pay small amounts. Then one day a bill showed in my mail for $1,500.. Stating it was OVERDUE. The Hygienist seems to be a product sales professional, padding my (already paid) bill with hundreds of dollars in extra products I had to buy on the spot as I showed for regularly scheduled appointments. I showed for one apt with her that had been mysteriously removed from their books, although I had the apt card they gave me. She cancelled another, causing me to have to reschedule at a time so inconvenient that I had to reschedule it again. Another apt with her was abruptly ended when I refused to pull out my wallet to buy something she tried to sell to me while in the chair. Along with all this, I was originally told the process could last weeks or even a couple of months! It was a 6-month ordeal with regular visits every 1 or 2 weeks. They neglected to tell me to remove my lower partial, resulting in a nasty infection two weeks after Id had most of my teeth removed. Apparently the counselor, or Collections Agent more accurately, didnt even know Id paid for implants, not dentures. I paid these people nearly $10,000 and was booted from a chair for refusing to pay $31 for a product I was not told I would need after being harrassed for the final $275, $100 of which was already prepaid on a card. One doctor lost an expensive piece of equipment. Another forgot to inform me whether I could eat after surgery. When all is said and done, the fit of my implants and dentures is questionable and eating is still a challenge. I will not call out individuals by name because I found the entire experience horrific. I wish I had chosen a different company. This is still a nightmare that cost me nearly $10,000. I can not recommend Western Dental.

These people hate their jobs, idk why would you get involved in the medical field if you don’t have patience for patients, very unorganized and low quality job. Showed up for an appointment that had other people scheduled the same time as mine. Not to mention the treatment I received for just asking why I’m waiting for 1 and half hour for my appointment? Just don’t go there. I called customer service to submit a complain they didn’t even get back to me. It’s a corporation so I get it now, they’re there for our money, not to help us. So disappointed.

I have not been to this Western Dental office but the reviews definitely will keep me from doing so. I have an emergency situation.. under new stay at home orders. I have a broken crown and an infection in 2 crowns never installed correctly... Western Dental why arent you fixing the situation causing these reviews? These reviews are basically all the same. They are also the same complaints I had at the Western Dental Office on Clairemont Mesa. Every business gets some bad reviews... the problem seems to be so obvious and not being corrected. I think its a virtual agent answering these reviews. Im really disappointed because I need a dentist and now Im afraid to call you.

Latrish, or however you spell it is just so completely rude every single time. Right off the bat has an attitude for now reason. Gives off the image that she’s miserable working there. If you hate your job that much that you put others in a horrible mood, you probably should find another job. I’ve heard her speak to others even worse than me. Just disgusting. People should never have to come into a negative environment like that. They need to get rid of her or stick her in the back doing something that has ZERO human interaction. So tired of her! Can’t wait for my child to be done getting treated for braces so I don’t have to go to this place again. A couple of the others have gotten nasty attitudes with other people as well. No wonder the ratings are so bad!

Wow, I am very frustrated and upset. It’s 12:50 and I checked in exactly @10:53. I messed up and got braces here and sadly will have to deal with them for a little longer. I came in today to get A SIMPLE CLEANING.. and here I am on the chair waiting, like I have got nothing else better to do, they don’t care and not helpful at all it’s really irritating. The ladies at the from desk ALWAYS MESS UP the appointments, literally scheduled me for orthodontist last time and he wasn’t even here when I came in. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! Find a better dental office somewhere else and save yourself the headache and anger you will have from this place. :(((((( once I am done with my braces I am never ever coming back here. Hell no!

If I could give 0 stars it would be perfect. The dentist denied me my dental cleaning even though it is covered by my insurance. They made me wait for 1hour and 50 minutes to tell me that. They were supposed to contact me back and they didnt. DO NOT SELECT THEM AS your dental insurance.

The dental services are good but the office needs to change the people that work the front desk or give them some customer service training. They are rude as if they are working for free. Be prepared to wait an hour for your appointment. Also they keep confusing my appointments; I would get calls/ text messages confirming my appointment and when I go there they say I don’t have an appointment. I’m switching to another location right after I’m done with my braces treatment.

Thank you for many years of your services. I feel I am greeted by friends. The flexibility of Appointments is very important to me and I am grateful for the reminder calls.

Dont go here unless you want to wait an hour past your appointment, for a SIMPLE FIRST VISIT! They asked me to come early so I can completely some paperwork, which I did. I showed up 30 mins earlier than my original appt time. I went and sat patiently, 40 mins roll by I went to nicely ask the front desk Andy and she told me to wait 10 mins. I waited while watching patients that came way after me go in before me. And yes, they do have gloves on but they never bothered to change during the whole duration of me waiting. I had to leave, because they dont respect their peoples times. An appointment is there for a reason, I didnt mind waiting 30 mins but NOT A WHOLE HOUR. Will never be coming back here again.

Doctor Alison is one of the best dentists Ive had in the past 50 years! She is very thorough, and explains treatment completely! I am happy to have her as my dentist! People at front desk can have an attitude sometimes and the parking might as well not exist. I have a car but I choose to be dropped off instead due to the parking situation. Im only going here because I needed to have some work done otherwise I wouldnt keep going.

I was late for my appointment and that is obviously my fault but instead of working with me and asking the dentist if they can squeeze me in or anything like that. Maybe have me wait longer. She turned me away and rescheduled me for a week from now. After I took off work and drove for 20mins. I find it really inconsiderate. Also I gave her my insurance card and my ID and she still asked me what insurance I have. Clearly she not only has no customer service skills. She also doesn’t know how to do her job. This is literally the 3dr time I have been turned away from a western dental all for different reasons. I have yet to see a dentist.

Jasmine at the front desk was great on entry. Helped me with filling out paperwork and getting me registered.Martha was great help getting my x-rays done. And made sure I felt comfortable. Great personality and kept me smiling.Dr. Nguyen was great as well. Very informative and took great care of me. Definitely will be retiring to see them all.

Great at what she does! Was great at helping me and answering all my questions about I had for my daughters treatment. Nothing but positive experiences here each time we come in.

This was the best experience Ive had with any doctor. For a long time the doctor that I saw there was awesome. And Ive gone a couple of times but this doctor was awesome.

The service and experiences I had with this office was terrible. The first consult the dentist did a check then advised me on a general explanation of dental care. Not the status of my teeth and what need to be done overall. Just told me to schedule upfront to have some cavities taken care of. A month later(fastest we can move), a different dentist, who didnt have any knowledge of my case, though I took Xrays the first visit he needed a new set. My fillings he did were messy and left sharp edges on the sides of my teeth. Having to be fixed at my next appointment(a month a half later). Anytime I had to talk with the front desk to confirm an appointment, I was never informed about what I need to have or know for the appointment. Just time and see you there and hung up. Prices are on the mid to high side... feels like the a broke and grabbing at money instead of just focusing on patients needs.

I made an appointment and wasn’t seen till an hour later. The receptionist is very unprofessional, she tried to leave voicemails to people but messed up what she was saying every time and was yelling from her chair “ sir” “ma’am” come here but no one knew who she was talking to. The dr was wearing vans (lol) and tripped on water, so while he was cleaning up the water, I was took in the back from the back of the building. Was hoping they’d sanitize everything but everything had dirt on it. I came to get my wisdom teeth removed but I had to wait 15 minutes for the dr to come back in to talk to me about how I needed braces.... even though I didn’t come for that and I have one crooked tooth. My visit was a nightmare, the whole time I was thinking what else would happen.

Im not going to get into full details. but ill give one scenario. it was a COMPLETE waste of time. when i had to come in i would wait at least.. an hour each visit with appointment to get one single filling done at a time. . I had them mess up 3 times on my crown. and my temporary came off and they told me i had to make a separate appointment for the doctor to see it, i had a appointment that following sat. so i waited. leading to my gums to start growing over the tooth which lead them to cut my gums. and when i got there the sweet doctor told me i should have come in immediately. they try to get as many people in as they can in a day. they dont care.they are very rude. will NEVER recommend nor return. Even if you paid me i would go back to this facility. they waste your time 100%

Complete and utter incompetence. Wasted three hours of my time while I was told my children did not have appointments while I showed them the email confirmation that said I did. Was completely ignored for 15 minutes during check in while the girl took phone calls and spoke with coworkers, but she flashed her pearly whites and became a sweetheart to the attractive young man behind me. When my daughter was seen the had her examined for braces when she was there for a damn root canal!First & last time I will ever set foot in that building.

Good dentists and good costumer service. Office could use a little more organization and could improve cleanliness, floors are stained and not well maintained as well as some of the chairs definitely could be updated. But would definitely come back.

Yall really need to manage your patients and time better. Not everyone has time to sit and wait 45 minutes before they can even be seen. This is not ok and my review will change when that changes. Thats very unprofessional. Do better.

Amazing staff! As soon as you walk in the receptionists welcome you with a smile. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Talia are amazing, very humble and they explain everything in detail and very thoroughly. Albert was of great help too, he set me on a payment plan that is interest free. Definitely going back and referring family and friends.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. They told me that they called my insurance which told them that my insurance is not transferred to their clinic yet, which I did a week before the appointment, so they told me they can’t help me and then I called my insurance company and they told me that no one reached us out and it’s active to their clinic, so it turns out the manger Nancy Torres didn’t feel to do her job and go the extra mile and wait for my insurance to pick up. After that got straightened out they told me to wait for another two hours to get seen by the doctor. Imagine you have to wait for three hours for your appointment . I asked them and they said that “we scheduled 6 people at 9am” how that makes sense? Really, why would I have to wait until 11 where I could just come at 11!! Just find different clinic and save your time, cause they don’t respect your time.

Everyone that worked on my teeth were awesome. They were very friendly, gentle and considerate to my needs.Haven’t had to wait for appointments. Highly recommend Western Dental.

I wouldn’t recommend this place because the wait is way to long and the workers talk to us and such bad ways. The waiting is almost 2 hours. They are unprofessional and staff are not very friendly. I went to my appointment and they told me that I had to reschedule because they gave me the wrong appointment in the first place. WOULDNT RECOMMEND!!!!

Every time I bring my mom Mr. Rigo takes good care of her. He always shows respect and patience. Her dentures were not fitting well and we decided to come here to get new ones . My mother is very pleased with her smile . We have referred our friends and will continue to come for the five star service.Thank you Western dental

I dont even like going to get my teeth worked on, but Hygienist Dina is awesome. She takes time to talk to you about what shes doing & she answered all my questions. Kind & caring. DA Mariela also great. Dental Assistant Jennifer doing impressions was so gentle. Love my new tooth people.

Leticia Fregoso at the front desk was wonderful! She kept us informed the whole time about the wait and what was going on. My daughters crown fell off of her tooth so we had to go in as an emergency walk in. I figured we would have to wait a while of course (no appointment) but they got us in after 30 minutes. Great staff and always so good with my daughter!

Our family has been going for about a year and half, no major complaints. The doctors, hygienists, and staff have always been very kind and explain what they are doing. They are good with my children. As most busy dental offices, there is a wait usually, but nothing over the top. The environment is not super exciting or very private but it is clean. The area is sketchy and the parking is not great but again, inside is fine.

Everyone that works here is very kind and patientThey all work very well together.Great Doctors and Awesome TechsEvery time I go there I am seen fast never a long wait and they go out of there way to make you feel comfortable. What a great experience I had today with my visit at western dental in El Cajon. Dr. Nguyen who is very knowledgeable and understanding of my situation was able to give me different treatment plans that I can go with which I really appreciate. I also want to thank Andrea who assisted me with financial options will be back soon.

I went for a treatment and the staff was welcoming. Doctor Nguyen and his assistant Lorena Lafuente did an excellent and professional job. They took the time to explain the treatment and the next producers that I need to take. After my visit, I felt very satisfied. 5/5!!

Every employee know there stuff, every employing is trying to make you feel at home, great team work in every department
