The owner really knows what hes doing- friendly and fast. Wasnt sure what to wear for a wedding but he helped me try on different suits. Patient, but most importantly, sized me up perfectly because its hard to find sizes as slim as mine! Very happy and will be coming back for my next suit!

I only go here to get my suits and tuxedos. This place is by far one of the best places I have been for a nice suit or tuxedo for the occasion. The owner knows style and will assist you from finding the perfect fit to a nice suit choice. The people who alter the suits are amazing and do a really good job of making the fit tailored to your body or whatever your needs are. They have stylish shoes, dress, shirts, ties, they have everything you need to look clean and elegant. I highly recommend this place.

Im a black male and i went in there about 2 years ago to buy a new suit, and the guy who was working in there told me that they dont have any suit in size. Im 6 feet and 190 lb I just wanted to buy a suit, so took my business across the street and the guys there were really helpful.(dont waste your time with this guys)

This shop was very good. They helped us pick out the right sizes and ordered us the colors we wanted and did same day alterations when the suits we wanted arrived.

First off i don’t usually do this but the customer service here is really terrible...went in for dress shoes and i asked if they had my size for one of the designs and the girl who helped me checked and they didn’t have it so i go ahead and grab another shoe and asked her if they had it in my size and she says in a annoyed tone “no i already told you we don’t have it” and i let her know it was a different one so i put the shoe back and left i’ve bought suits from here before but will never return to this store again!

The great thing about this place is that, apart from the classic outfits, it also has very modern and even European styles. They have suits and tux for rental and purchase. Either or, they tailor to your preference with no additional cost. They have all sorts of accessories to go with your suit, even shoes which, in my opinion, are quite impressive. I had been looking all day for my wedding suit and this was my last stop after 8 other stores and Im glad it was, since I found what I was looking for. If you want great and professional service, great suits, great prices, this is the place for you. Also, ask for Mike; he was truly exceptional and set me up nicely.

Outstanding! I am so impressed with the service and attention we have received at The Elegant Man. Within minutes, we were greeted warmly and guided through the process by a wonderful professional. My son needed to rent a tuxedo for the first time. The staff made him feel very comfortable and welcomed. He found the perfect classic tuxedo. Exactly what he wanted. The alterations were included in the rental cost. Impressive. This place goes above and beyond. I imagine this is what it must’ve felt like to shop in the heyday of Customer Service 1940s and 1950s. They just treat you right the whole way through. Five stars with a cherry on top!

The Elegant Man is an understatement. This shop got me squared away in record time. They know what theyre talking about, got me educated, and made me look good (a miracle in itself).

I went on a Thursday which I dont recommend between 3 and 7 pm. There is a car show and no where to park. But one of the employees guided me to their own spot behind the store. This isnt one of those stores where you are left to browse aimlessly, unless that is what you want. The employee knew the current trends in suits and knowledge of style and colors. Depending on the suit you buy, you may get a free tie and shirt and free tailoring. I am not sure if everyone gets that deal but we did. We got free socks with the shoes that he even graciously showed us some of the shoes on sale for 29.99. Remarkable Selection - Knowledge - Value.

I had a great experience with clothing and service from here. After getting a shirt, suit jacket and pants from here, I asked for my pants to be altered for a wedding. Although the alteration was just how I wanted, I asked Munthar for another alteration on the pants after the wedding, and he altered them again exactly how I asked. All of this at no additional cost!Very personable service in addition to a large selection of high-end clothing.

This place is one of the best places to get your suit altered. They have great people working there who are professionals at sewing & alterations. For suits and tuxedos ask for Mike, he is really good in helping decide what fits best.

I had my wedding last month and I was having a hard time finding suit will fit me, so I started searching on yelp and Google plus then I found this place in El Cajon city, I went there casual the first time just to check out the stuff they have then I was so shocked by the way they took care of me it’s like I am buying right now, Then I find out it’s a family owned business that was the owner who help me out he had such a great varieties and great stuff imported from Europe, so I told him money is not an issue I’d like you to find something will make me look so good in my wedding, so he start taking things out and looking at me and has artists and creative eyes then I know he knows what he’s doing.I really recommend this place for casual and for suits or belts or shoes everything there is selected carefully Italian French name it.

I walked in to Elegant Man with my wife. We were looking for a suit for my son. My wife found the place and wanted me to come along. I assumed we were renting the suit for my son. The suit was for his homecoming and he was voted into the court. The store location is in downtown El Cajon on Main st. near the court house. Parking to the location can be tricky during peak hours but ample parking surrounding the location. No more than 30 second walk.Entering the store you will find the store is clean and well kept. Immediately you find the coats and shirts are stylish. I was even more surprised to find the store larger than what you would think looking from the outside. There is another side to the store and that too is well kept and clean. We were greeted by a store assistant but, then helped by Mike. Mike was a great help, knowledgeable and knows how to get the best look. We just told him the color, he looked at my son, and instantly picked out a great suit for my son, that was young and modern. He helped us match up a shirt, tie, and pocket square. From the cut of the suit to the fabric, I was bracing myself for a high rental cost. After all the service of fitting and measuring, Mike told me and my wife the price. I said, thats a reasonable price, again assuming we were renting the suit. I mentioned to him not bad of a price for a rental He steps back and says No thats the price to buy. I was floored, because the price came with the tailoring included free. I easily have bought and paid 3 times more at the Mens Warehouse and paid the extra cost for the tailoring. To top it all off, we came in on a Tuesday and asked to pick up the suit on Friday. Again, I was bracing myself for extra money for the rush tailoring. Mike said How about Thursday? again I had to catch myself. Mike was a great help, always smiling and very attentive. He really knows his stuff. I know my stuff in mens fashion, but he knows his stuff. The price as I alluded too are more than reasonable for the cut and style you are trying to achieve. I did not mention the price because reasonable is different from person to person. But if you ever shopped mens fashion, suits, or bespoke. You will know that its not cheap and he gives you a reasonable price for an expensive look. He has it all. I will be shopping at Elegant Man for all my Elegant Mens fashion needs in the future.

From time to parking to being back on the freeway took 45 mins. In that time I was fitted, and had an alterations done. Walked out with my new suit for a great price. Customer service is TOP NOTCH. Anyone that needs a suit should check here first.

Amazing place to get a suit. Bought a suit here for my son whos four. They have a huge selection. They fitted him, recommended certain cuts and even brought out shoes for him to try on. They made him feel like a king. They have awesome customer service and made us feel very welcomed. I will definelty return to buy a few more suites for myself.
