I love Golden Corral, I really do. But unfortunately, Im tasked with telling the truth.The corn was mushy and unseasoned. The taco bar was a joke. No salsa, cheese, lettuce, basically all the condiments were non-existent other than the meat. I had to head over to the salad area to fully assemble my tacos. Another thing, the tomatoes being in quarters is completely unnecessary. They need to be more bite-size for salads and tacos.The saving grace, as always, was the amazing steak. No I dont really expect much from an all-you-can-eat buffet, I know corners are cut and youre not really there for a service. But there has to at least be a quality of a good food

This place was clean and the food was hot and fresh.This location was obviously part of the Hometown Buffet chain previously, and Golden Corral has not made too many changes. Layout is the same and very functional.Staff here are pleasant and provide the beverage service to the table. The food is still self service from several seperate areas.Overall experience was 5 ⭐, and as this is the only Golden Corral in San Diego county, I was surprised it wasnt too crowded. There was no line to enter.

The staff were fast and professional. All my request were granted very quickly. My dinning area was clean and well stocked. I enjoyed my visit. The food was hot and tasty. Well done guys!

Brought my family here this last Wednesday evening at first i wasnt sure they had reopened but glad they were....the food was hot and fresh and the restaurant was cleaned and sanitized and not crowded at all. The employees were kind and respectful.

The food I had was very good including the dessert(s). It is buffet style and they have a very wide selection of foods. No complaints. The service is friendly and efficient.I drink water with my meals so it does not impact me, but the drinks are costly. It is an easy way to save money if you are on a budget.

It was great and I had heard great things about this restaurant chain so, my friend suggested that we go there. If you like serving yourself and picking from a variety of foods, each having their own section, then this IS the place for you too!!! Im waiting to go with her on a Saturday or Sunday for some collard greens and corn bread, you know, soul satisfying food! Hope you have a great experience here too and its even better when you go with a great friend!

Great food great atmosphere waitress was great stayed on top of drinks and always taking dirty plates. you get one set or utensils be sure to put them aside while getting more food.

It was very good food. I meet the manager, she was very nice making sure that we enjoy their food and happy to re open the restaurant after having it closed for one year because of the pandemic. I wish the best of luck. Thank you.

My 2 year old daughter, my father and I came here for the first time on Saturday, Sept. 4th. My daughter was throwing a huge fit and a very kind woman approached me and asked if I needed a high chair for her. I answered yes and she brought one for my daughter. At this point my daughter was still crying and this woman spoke to my daughter and eventually calmed her down. Unfortunately I do not know her name and she wasn’t in uniform but she did meet with other employees and the manager in the spare room they have in the back. She was so so kind and every time she passed our table she spoke to my daughter. My daughter is very selective and she felt comfortable in her presence. I wish I knew her name because she was wonderful. She made our dining experience. She made us feel very welcomed. So I want to say thank you to her!

Nice selection of food, if you come between shifts, you can get some breakfast & lunch options at the same time. Fried Chicken & Fish was seasoned well, crisp & hot.This has become a spot I will frequent.Price is moderate @ a little less than $20/pp for lunch & drink.

It was a pretty good dinner. I had meat loaf, which was okay, but Id rather eat MY meat loaf. The blue berry pie was really, really good, but the peach cobbler wasnt very good. The rest of it was pretty standard. What I would suggest to the cook though, is to put some spices into the meatloaf and add in some celery and bell pepper.

Didnt care for the over cooked dried out steak,probably sitting on the grill too long waiting for someone,I asked for medium. Aside from that the food was delicious,service was very good, the server was attentive and patient with my grandma who is 107. The restaurant & bathroom are clean. Overall a very good deal for 20$.I will be back.

It was my granddaughter birthday and servers even sang Happy Birthday it was great experience.

Food was surprisingly higher quality for being a buffet, some of these foods where their meats, their hams, pot roast, and even hamburgers. Meat was not dry or flavorless. Their pizza is also good but one thing to note is their food is more on the salted side, not like thats a terrible thing, but for people who have higher blood pressure watch out, also their dessert bar was very nice and had a large variety of treats from cookies and cakes to ice cream. The waitress to over 25 minutes to bring silver after I had placed food on my table. She would bus tables and stay back of restaurant for what seemed like 10 minutes and I had to flag her down across the restaurant to get a regill on ice tea. The man cooking steaks was trying to butterfly the steaks to get them to cook faster and in the process the steak lost its plate appeal. Turned out to be a very small steak after cutting the fat away! Was not impressed! When you reopened? Should have done it right! Not been in such a hurry to get doors open! Management! From Corporate to restaurant managers could be doing better jobs!

Catfish was really good. That was the only good thing. Only 1 person at grill, nobody at carving stations. Couldnt get what they were serving there. Our server did a great job.

Doing much better on cleanliness. Food is just that buffet style and taste. Fried fish and rolls are above average on the menu of a buffet style restaurant, in my opinion. Great place to go if you are dealing with several different taste buds.

We went today. Sunday. The biscuits were like rocks. I guess just what could you make in breakfast. Jello that was so loose, it was poorable? Gravy for the biscuits heavy in grease. Got me sick. We will never visit again.No thank you

I went to a Golden Coral in North Carolina and it was absolutely amazing, the food here was so bad, didnt even bother going up twice, totally sub par food... Save yourself the money and the stomach ache

I went on Sunday, was really hungry. Paid around $23 per person. Was really looking forward for a steak. The cook did not have steaks ready. Worst there was a line of people waiting, which means they would have more steaks, ribs, turkey available. The buffet of leftovers is not worth $23. Hope they improve. Positive side was the waiter that kept our sodas going.

Horrible experience from beginning to end! The tables were dirty and there was food and trash under our tables. Server took 30 minutes to bring drinks. Then when she brought drinks they were incorrect. Food tasted bland and stale. Tasted like old frozen TV dinner or cafeteria style food. Definitely not worth the 24.00 per person we were charged. 😒👎👎👎👎👎

Very nice. Service was excellent the night manager is an awesome lady. She helped us with our problem after assisting another large difficult family. We observed her take care of them and she did so happily. Only one complaint about the food. If you order the personal steak make sure its cooked right before you go to your table. A lot of people as well as us had to return and have it cooked more as they were nearly raw.

If you like fish OMG, IT WAS SO GOOD! And the table service was excellent and the guy we paid when we first came in was so friendly. A bonus to get Custer service like that.

We need more buffets in San Diego. Maybe if all goes well they will open another golden corral after they open lol wishful thinking but since we dont have hometown buffet anymore. The casinos are overpriced on their buffets and cant bring kids. Also to far of a drive especially with gas prices these days. Im very indecisive especially at restaurants so I love buffets where you can just pick a little of everything and get what you want. I love that they finally put one in but then we had the pandemic which put a stop to a lot of things and Im grateful theyre coming back.

Salad bar fresh an cold. Array of meat entrees, vegetables are steamed, taco bar havent tried, desserts galore. Staff Friendly, bathroom clean, Ribeye steaks cooked to your likings. Sautéed mushrooms, onions, bell peppers. Silverware comes prepackaged in closed wrapper. 💘 this place..

They do have quite a selection of food, chicken of all flavors, and of course desserts. People were very friendly and the establishment was very clean, perhaps i was expecting more from a place I had heard so much about. Being the foodie that I am, i would recommend this establishment. Clean family friendly, and large enough for big parties. nice

Spend so much time to get the order so no body cares about your order to pick up. I canceled it they care only about the buffet nothing else they keep to apologize 25 minutes waiting for something they already know. That ridiculous.

Clean, courteous staff, and good food. My usual favorites are meatloaf and pot roast, but their fried shrimp is plump and crispy!

The staff was very friendly and they paid good attention to the table and our needs, it was a very nice experience.

The food was bland and the person on the grill seemed to be bothered when people asked them for steak. The steak had allot of fat so after trimming it didnt have much meat left.

This was my first time here. Not ao great......This was an expensive waste of cash. $40 worth of food that was atrocious. I dont think I have ever been to a worse buffet. I paid for a buffet and the majority of food was not available/empty. I paid for my food and asked the hostess/cashier so do i just get my own food like hometown buffet or how does this work? She was like Were better than hometown! I was wondering still what I was supposed to do.....Dont waste your money. Not to mention this guy pictured in the window, was a creepy weirdo who just stood there looking in.Food appeared to have sat for quite some time before we got to it. Very small selection. Tuesday night must be free kid with paid adult promo.I would have asked for my money back if it wasnt so bad that I just wanted to leave.The puke on the ground in front of the door was really not appealing before eating either. That should have been cleaned up.

First time visit to Golden Corral and loved it. Came in on a Sunday evening (7ish) and it was very busy but everyone had a great attitude. They were polite, they had a smile on their faces and were kind to explain the way things work there. You pay first and then someone seats you and provides the drinks. They have fair prices for children up to 14 yrs of age. Our server was visibly tired from a long busy day of work but she kept a smile and that makes all the difference. The only reason I did not leave 5 full stars is because of the location. It wasnt the greatest (safest) but the food was flavorful and their sirloin was delicious. I would highly recommend for families as kids love the dessert section. They have a huge chocolate fountain. They also provide a law enforcement/military discount. Keep smiling guys, you are appreciated.

Great breakfast buffet.Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday til 1pm.Dinner buffets are good as well but can be crowded. Never do the to go option.

It was a lot chaotic when we arrived on a Friday night, so the wait staff was overwhelmed, but friendly. The drinks took a while to arrive, bit again, the server was friendly. Their were not a lot of gluten free options, like 4 things, and no gf deserts. They do have a private room that you can reserve seats for, and a self-serve ice cream machine.

Steaks have a good flavor, pretty good feel at home food
