I really like Stan, his son and the American way for which they stand. Especially their shops fair pricing for parts and labor.

This is the place to go in East county San Diego for your automotive AC repair or system update. They can also install a new exhaust system or build a custom one for you. Ive had two mufflers installed with professional results. I wont go anywhere and Im not alone. They are swamped daily. No advertising. The work comes to them when you do the job right the first time.

Left my Jeep with Kirks radiator to have an overheating problem fixed. But your thermostat and radiator in my vehicle they had my vehicle done a lot sooner than I thought they would. I went in to have a cracked aluminum radiator looked at. I was greeted at the door and helped right away. After describing my problem I was given a very reasonable quote. I was also given alternatives in the event that the initial repair request was not feasible. Very quick turn around, and very good customer service. This is a no nonsense repair shop. 10/10 would recommend!

Kirks installed a new radiator on my Wrangler three months ago. Early this morning the overheat light came on. I pulled over to discover the coolant streaming out of the vehicle. I had the Jeep towed to Kirks. The problem turned out to be twofold: the thermostat they had installed had failed (the owner, Stan, told me its hard to locate reliable car thermostats nowadays), and the hoses connected to the heater had leaked, the leaks being a result of the thermostat failing. Kirks replaced the hoses (which hadnt been part of the prior radiator installation) and the thermostat (which had been). I expected to receive an invoice, but Stan told me there would be no charge. I much appreciated that.

I came after going somewhere else that incorrectly diagnosed my AC issues on my Tacoma and they were going to charge me far more than what I paid at Kirk’s. These guys are trustworthy and I don’t write reviews often definitely go here!

This place is the only one in San Diego Id trust with my car. I have a show car and Ryan did a Phenomenal!! Job. The welds are crisp . Even hard to see. Almost looks like its all one piece. Good prices specially for the work and time he puts in.

Came in today with my grandfather to see about getting his model A radiator recored. They were extremely helpful and explained why it was not cost effective to recore it. Showed us where we could find what we need. This is customer service at its finest I will be a lifelong customer and will be recommending them to everyone I know.

2nd time Ive been here. 1st time Truck AC blowing hot air. They quickly found problem, AC hoses old & leaking. They had new hoses on & running cold in couple of hours! More recently AC seemed running warm on motor home. They checked & advised it was running great blowing 47 degrees. Thank You. (Its a big space to cool just have to give it a little time to get to 47!)

My radiator decided to spring a leak right before the weekend and getting it fixed was either going to make or break my weekend plans since I couldnt drive. After calling several shops that seemed more interested in my wallet than fixing the problem, I went with Kirks for the reviews and customer service over the phone.The day was Friday, I had work all day, and they arent open on weekends. So I borrowed a friends truck, raced down in the morning, and they had me in and out in 15 minutes and on time to work. Its now been roughly 3 weeks and my radiator is working awesome with no leaks. They do fantastic work! Also they are a family owned business which is awesome!Thank you Kirks for helping me out! I will definitely be pointing my friends in your direction!

Great customer service and they stood behind their work. Had the radiator flushed. A couple of days later I noticed a small drip. Took it back to Kirks and they got right on it, they saw it needed a new drain plug, They fixed it right then, no charge. Happy customer!

On 07/15/10 I took my Jeep to get serviced for A/C for recharge. I called several places including the Jeep Dealership in La Mesa and everyone quotes were so high even just the service fee just to check!! But not Kirks! They had the best reviews on search engines and now I know why, so Im leaving a review too! They were professional, HONEST, had nice facilities and were super quick only took 30 min to do service check and recharge, whereas other places said it would take an hour! They were so friendly and were honest about prices, didnt overcharge on labor or parts and believe me I checked prices! I will NEVER go to another auto shop. Thanks Kirks its nice to know there IS quality auto mechanics out there!
