They lost parts to van,and started it for no reason Wich damaged it more.very expensive

Where should I start on how unprofessional this company is? I called asking for another eta since it was 30 mins late. I was given an attitude by one of the female desk workers. Fast forward to my car being put on the tow truck. The driver was informed that I wouldn’t be following him/my car to the drop off destination but someone else would be there to confirm that the car made it.Now why do I get a call from that said person asking Where’s the car and what’s the eta. So I call again asking for the eta to the destination. While I was put on hold, I could hear the workers talking about my car. Then the operator finally came to her senses to mute the call. She answers to tell me my car was ALREADY DROPPED OFF 10 MINS AGO. All the times I have got a tow, the driver WILL call and let me know when they are coming to the destination. This genius of a driver decides to just leave the car in the alley (you can’t park in alley) along with the car keys. NO CALL OR TEXT. Let me know what company just leaves a car without communicating with anyone. The worker over the phone was unapologetic about the situation.If you have AAA or don’t AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!unless you like not knowing where your car is 😀

When requesting a tow truck in the side of the rode we waited 2 hours. At the hour Mark they called and asked if they could come an hour later. When we stated we needed them here now they said they would try and get something situated and if they couldn’t get someone quicker they would call back. No call back. We called three times (one of which was not answered) and asked for an ETA. When the drive got there (at the time they asked to get there and we said no) he told us he could not take the car to the location we were requesting. When I called the company back the lady at the from desk ( SHES EXTREMELY RUDE AND HAS BAD SERVICE SKILLS) did not want to fix the issue she told me she needed to get back to her job, as if her original job isn’t assisting us as we were stranded nor was she doing her job in the first place. Please use someone who cares about clients and their safety.

Was on site in less than 30mins, changed tire in less than 20 mins. I paid with card payment processing took a while. This was Wednesday at 10pm. 100$ to change tire.

Car left me stranded. C&D promised a truck within 40 minutes. Driver (Burton/Barton?) arrived 20 minutes early! He was professional, caring, and presented himself as a true friend. He cared for my car. He also waived the extra mileage that went beyond AAA’s 7-mile policy. I will definitely recommend C&D to my friends.

AAA was SO quick! I got my keys locked in my trunk last night and they seemed to be at my location in a blink of an eye. They were able to help get my keys out within minutes. I loved my experience. It was stress free, which helped me A LOT since it was my first time having to call AAA for help. The person on the phone was wonderful and sweet. The person that came out was very professional. I had a great experience! I don’t ever leave reviews but I had such a great experience that I need to share it!

This review is for C&Ds emergency road service only. Technician Danny arrived earlier than predicted which was outstanding. He also was a real lock-out wizard!! The power locks did not cooperate with his reach device, so Danny managed to fish the locked-in keys from the front seat, and pull them through the door!!Thanks again for saving my day,AAA 37 Yrs.

My battery was dead at 8:15 AM called AAA which used C&D for their service calls. I had a new battery installed in my driveway before 9:00 AM. Super courteous service. Extremely efficient and the technician gave me two bottles of water for my trip to SB county. Such a sweetheart!

Tony of C&D Towing showed up promptly following my call to AAA. Huge piece of plastic I picked on the freeway was wrapped around and partially melted on my drivetrain. Figured Id have to be towed, but when Tony arrived he quickly made his way under the car to remove the plastic. Really appreciated his dedication too, it took a bit of work, but in the end I was able to drive away.

Ive had the blessing of needing their services twice within a week. The first time it was for locked keys in the car, the second occasion I had a flat tire and both times that I was rescued my help arrived within 20 minutes !! They are not 24/7. I came in after my car was in an accident to get my wallet out of my car and was told Id be charged an after hours gate fee of between $80-100. This was at 11am on Saturday. Their hours need to be changed on Google. Even still, how are you charging people this much to have access to their own vehicles when someone is sitting right there at the desk. Its not like no one was there.

It was an early morning rainy day, when my neighbor informed me that I had a flat tire. Not a great start to my day, and I needed to take my child to school.The technician *Sergio* was quick polite and aware of the need to get my daughter to school he commented *Ill get this tire changed so you can get your daughter to school on time . Very quick service! I got a flat and called AAA from my car immediately. The tow truck driver got to me within 15 minutes of me getting the flat. The driver was professional, clean and extremely courteous. He did his job with no excessive chit chat and I was on my way in under a half an hour from the incident. Couldnt ask for more. I went out of town and when I returned my battery was completely dead. I called AAA and they sent C&D towing. The friendly and knowledgable service teck arrived within 15-20 minutes. He charged my battery and offered to run a quick diagnostics test as well. Stellar service!

Great experience with C & D Towing through AAA yesterday. I ran out of gas. The driver was prompt and polite. After putting some gas in my car, he made sure I was able to start it and drive away.

They popped my tire when they towed my car and ripped wires along with damaging the car when I went to pick up car they wouldn’t stop arguing saying they would discount half of tow because they popped tire. I been calling manager Dave and he won’t return calls at this point I’m going to call bbb and the city

Eddie arrived and was an excellent driver. Although it was scary (because my own lack of experience) to watch him back up to my car on the freeway he was quick, safe, and very skilled. Once he got my car to our apartment complex he helped us push it off the tow truck into a spot. I have a 99 Ford Expedition and the powersteering was also out so you can imagine how difficult that must have been. Anyway, Eddie was great and he helped us tremendously and gave us a great experience in a very scary time.

C & D towing was absolutely fantastic. I had a blowout on the freeway, and I they got to me so quickly and put the spare on with cars zooming by at 80 miles an hour. It’s the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen—-thanks so much for all your help. I would use C & D Towing all the time because of their expertise and their efficiency.

I was in quite a situation with my Mini Cooper’s front tire stuck in a 12 inch concrete rain ditch… Steven came out the fastest I’ve ever had anybody from any towing company arrive... and I was down in easement that was impossible to find. Steven, very polite young man, assured me that he could assist with the situation. He quickly assessed the situation, decided he didn’t need the truck and hoisted up the car with a manual jack from in the rain gutter, enough that I could literally back the vehicle straight out of the rain gutter. Steven is my living angel… a sweetheart of a guy, who came to the rescue quickly. Thank you so much Stephen and California towing for your quick and professional response. ❤️

AAA arranged the tow. I really appreciated the driver’s help. He was very personable. He performed the service like he was helping a friend. I feel really bad I was not able to tip. I got distracted talking to the service guy at Toyota.

The customer service provided by the tow truck drivers I experienced was second to none. There was one huge problem that I was astonished by though! When I had called the triple A dispatch I told the dispatcher that all I needed was a tow truck driver with tools, Alan wrenches in specific. The triple A dispatcher told me he was contacting a contractor that they used frequently, that the drivers carry tools and he would tell them that I needed Alan wrenches not a tow. When the 2 trucks and 2 drivers showed up I was relieved until I found out neither one had any Alan wrenches.... One of the drivers had a very small little tool bag containing less than what I usually carry on my motor cycle, no socket wrenches or sockets, not one single Alan wrench set? My uncle was a tow truck driver for 25yrs and he always carried 2 tool boxes for any situation that may occur. So a huge recomendation is to equip your drivers with a basic tool box. Every other tow truck driving company Ive used with triple A has had a large red tool box in the lock box container under the bed/ramp of the truck where they keep their straps. If I would have had just 1 set of Alan wrenches I could have fixed the problem myself in 5 minutes and the drivers could have gone to the 2 tows that were waiting because of me. I ended up having to go to a gas station that the drivers towed myself and my bike to. The drivers gave it their all with what they were equipped with. One even used a favor from the gas station clerk to use a tiny Alan wrench set he had, but it was so minimal there were only 4 sizes. So I had to tape my linkage to get back home. I know your a tow truck company and you tow vehicles and are not mechanics, but it doesnt look or feel professional at all when your drivers have no real tools and all of your competition Ive experienced does. So two thumbs up to the drivers, this wasnt their fault, but if I were having to pay straight out of pocket, I would have sent them away and called another company. Since this was insurance through AAA I was thankful for what I had. So tell your driver thanks, great job, and keep up the good work! To the owner/C.E.O/President, or whoever is in charge, spend a little money and equip your drivers with what every tow truck driver tools. I even drove truck for delivery of parts and all of us were equipped with a full tool box. Just some friendly advice, Have a great day!Sincerely, James Massey

The driver claimed he didnt have change so my $75 jump cost me $80. He also didnt help me troubleshoot the issue as my vehicle was actually out of gas. All in all calling this company cost me a lil over $800, considering he left me stranded after 3 jump attemps and no troubleshooting, kept my $80 then 20 mins later the police had me towed which cost me $750. This company is a completely incompetent group of swindlers.

I have been using tow companies for years in east county and have used C&D in the past with out issue in till this point. We were quoted 160 per hour for a medium duty tow. Not a bad deal. The issue occurs when the driver shows up in a light duty truck and said he could not tow the truck with his vehicle. He goes back to his truck for 30min trying to figure out what to do. He finally returns and states he can tow it it takes him 45 min to hook it up. He then tows the truck 5 miles. The bill $320.00 for 2 hours. This was no more than a 1hr job. Funny that the customer must pay because the company sends the wrong truck to the job! Road one has done the same job for $120.00 on numerous occasions and gives a discount for business to business customers. Pay attention to your bill because you will be charged for the companies mistakes...

I wish I knew the name of the man who came to tow my car so I could commend him specifically. I lost my car key and had to call AAA to get a tow to the dealership to make new one. The tow truck driver went through all the work of hooking up the car and maneuvering it out of a tight spot (it took like 20 minutes and it wasn’t easy). Then right as we were about to leave for the dealership, he found my keys in the windshield! It was so nice of him after going through all that trouble. I am very grateful! You don’t get this kind of service often, and especially from a towing company. Highly recommend

UNLAWFUL! My van was towed by CD towing 1105 N Marshall Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020. When the vehicle arrived at my home the driver side window was missing. The driver said he saw the window fly off during transport. My van was being towed against the wind and the driver was speeding as I was doing 80mph to get home before the driver. We arrived at the same time. I then made several attempts to contact the tow company for reimbursement for the replaced window. I have provided this company with ample documentation including my debit card receipt and invoice from the glass company. They refuse to pay the claim. They even accused me of lying about the payment. I am formally requesting as an AAA member that this company is removed from the AAA roster. Their Yelp reviews are horrible and their customer service is deplorable. David the manager has given me nothing but the run around from the beginning.

When my truck wouldn’t start, Ramik arrived through AAA to help. He did a wonderful job helping me with my battery, testing it to show that it indeed needed to be replaced. He installed the new battery efficiently but the bad news was that the problem was the starter! Ramik went the extra mile by contacting his dispatch to schedule a tow for the next morning for me. That was perfect! The driver the next morning also did a great job (didn’t catch his name). Both very helpful and courteous. Thank you!

Bad service, bad people and bad company.Changing from 1 star to 3 stars.If the driver would have filled out the form we would not have any issues, but driver did not write down vin number, no license plate number, at the office they could not pull anything because they are searching by vin and plate number both left empty by the driver.

After underbidding the quote to the insurance company making sure they got the bid. We waited 6 hours for a tow, at that point the price changes and goes up 5x to us and double to the insurance company. After getting the keys and started loading the truck they said we could continue to our destination and they would drop it off at the mechanic. An hour later after weve left. We got a call saying they werent going to move it unless we gave them 2200, instead of the original 65 out of pocket that was later moved up to over 300. These people are crooks and I hope no one ever has to be stuck using them, ever.
