I started working at Ketema in 1998 was an awesome place to work lots of benefits that I didnt have in The Job shop but as time went on and we went through management after management benefits started to fall off I worked there for 21 years it was a good place to work in the beginning but as time and management changed it became the worst place to work for me supervisors and lead men were not as helpful top management insisted managers to police the employees nobody ever got hurt while I worked there so safety was not an issue but management made it an issue for reasons unknown therefore I retired 2 weeks early for that reason but I have a wonderful Life because of some of the programs that they implemented like 401k instead of a retirement plan which you could invest in yourself and I did I saved till it hurt and now Im living the dream too bad the coworkers I left behind have to endure the strict rules of todays management theyre not intelligent enough to realize that people react better to kindness then strict rules and will work harder for the company if they are treated like adult not children instead of thinking about how bad things are at work people who are treated with respect will come up with ways to help the company progress in the problems at hand I dont know what playbook these managers are reading but they need to read something more positive.
Anyone know what is up with the photos for this place? Just wondering why they are selfies of people who look dazed/confused as if their phone took pictures without them knowing.
Im pretty sure this company was here before the elementary school, I find it hard to believe that they are dumping chemicals under the ground with the way this state is about things like that. And if they were here first then its poor planning on the citys part to put the elementary school right next to it knowing that its an industrial neighborhood. So I think you should come back onto your post and post all of the proof that you have of what they are doing or you claim that theyre doing
I worked there from 1985-86 in aerospace sheet metal when it was still Ametek Straza. I worked with some of the best TIG welders around & one of the best Supervisors Ive worked with (Tom D). Looking back, i was lucky enough to work around components ranging from the space shuttle to the SR71, in El Cajon of all places.
37 yrs. theres been good times and bad times but all in all its taking care of me and my family I thank God for giving me the strength to be here and Im so blessed with my beautiful family they are my life
Great company!!! Great people who work there.
They put their waste in the ground and contaminated a large area.
Top rate, growing global manufacturer.
Dumping poison under a kids school for 50 years is bad
They suck
So so
Good place. Big opportunities !!!
