This recruiting agency was the least professional of any agency who has ever contacted me. A while back, I was contacted by an unprofessional recruiter from Randstad who critiqued my resume, although I did not ask for it, and tried to convince me to leave my software engineering job for one of their clients. This recruiter told me that my current position at my company was not a great title, and that he was surprised that I would choose my company to work at and also surprised at my current salary. He then proceeded to try to convince me to take on one of his clients for a much lower salary. He told me to not always expect my current salary. The whole endeavor was ridiculous, rude, and have I mentioned unprofessional? Pro tip, if you are trying to recruit someone, show courtesy and give them offers above their current position. This was the first time I have met a recruiter who tried to get me to leave my job by belittling its title and then offer me a salary which is much less than what I was making. Then after this phone call, the recruiter still made multiple attempts to reach me. This whole ordeal happened to me last year, and at the time, I decided to let it go. Since then, however, Randstad has contacted some other working professionals I know, and they also had a bad experience with the recruiters at Randstad. I am leaving this review so others can be aware. There are recruiting agencies which work with you and for you, Randstad just might not be one of them.
Recruiters and companies that are hiring contractors from them for years, in order to avoid paying benefits, will greatly increase the misfortune of the common man.I have been hired by Randstad and currently contracted in Express Scripts for almost 4 years. I received 1 raise in these 4 years of 4%. Express Scripts is keeping me on contract working non-stop, as they obviously need at least 2, or maybe 10 more, full time workers, but they refuse to hire me since it is cheaper to pay Randstad $50 (maybe $70, I dont know) per hour of my work, than to provide Vacation time and health care benefits to a good worker. That being said, I contacted my Randstad Representative about 2 months ago, asking for a raise, because cost of everything is up and I am not doing great financially. A month passed, no response. After a fallow-up, no response. I called her in person and she said she will contact the Senior manager immediately. Now another month has passed, no response. Shameful. Be prepared to be hassled if you work for these guys. You will not receive fairness.
