Absolutely terrible experience at piercing pagoda in Menlo Park mall. To begin, the employee told us that we were limited to only the most expensive earrings. After questioning her on this, she told us we could get the ones that we actually wanted. My friend went first, and after she got her ears pierced, we realized the women put the wrong earrings in her ear. She tried telling us that we were wrong, but it was her mistake. She put in a completely different earring from what we asked for. She then proceeded to take the earring out and free hand the other one with no marking or anything. In result, the earrings are not where we want them to be. Next, it was my sisters turn and the women was very rude to us. She also messed up my sisters earrings. We were then given money back because she overcharged us, and she gave us the combined amount of cash for both my friend and my sister. This doesn’t make sense because they made two separate transactions, but once again they were hostile about it, and insisted that was what had to happen. It was clear the employees were talking about us and it made us feel very uncomfortable. They had no social skills and don’t know how to treat their paying customers. The people next to us were even laughing at the situation because of how ridiculous the employees were being. The customer service was completely disrespectful and unprofessional and I will never be going there again.
DO NOT BUY FROM PIERCING PAGODA PERIOD!!!So I should have taken heed of all the bad reviews before purchasing. My husband bought a bracelet(Dec 21,2020) with warranty and within 2 months it broke (Feb 2021) and we did an exchange. So I decided to purchase another bracelet and got a credit card with them(March 21,2021). The associate was very helpful. But fast forward May 15 2021. The 2nd bracelet broke as well. I am now realizing the bracelets are poor quality and will continue to break because they are hollow. Visiting this location and they are saying they can only offer exchanges because of the time frame. i want a full refund. If a company stands behind their product they will do right by their customers. Contacted customer service online and saying the same thing.DO NOT BUY FROM PIERCING PAGODA PERIOD!!!
The sales rep was deceitful with prices. Didnt bother showing me price breakdown before asking for payment. I had to ask her what the additional charges were for. She added extra charge for “guarantee.” Told her I didnt need it but she said it was mandatory. I asked her 2 more times if it was mandatory and she said it wasn’t but that without it, it will be “final sale.” I told her to cancel my purchase and that she should tell customers what they are paying for before requesting payment. She said it was my fault that i wasn’t listening while she explained it to a previous customer…… she could have just apologized and explained but rather took a defensive approach and said that they were okay without my business….. overall, terrible experience….
What kind of piercing you did to my daughter that she got infected and got a little bump on both side of ears in back side . Who is going to responsible for this and that happened to 9 months baby . Are you guys serious about anything I tried to call this place and no one answered give your employee better training and coaching so babies don’t suffer like this .take some courtesy do call back .
Great place to get earrings and necklace. Staff can sometimes be rude but for the most part are helpful
👍
I purchased a few pieces from this location last week. Unfortunately one of them I wanted to return today because it didnt fit on my necklace. I came back to the location WITH THE RECEIPT. The first sales associate asked for us to wait for the manager to process the return which wasnt a problem at all. Manager ( Associate#1032662) was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I gave her the receipt and the charm with the tags still intact BUT YET THAT WASNT ENOUGH FOR HER. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO AN ESTABLISHMENT WHERE I HAD TO PULL UP MY BANK STATEMENTS TO PROVE I PAID FOR IT . She Told me it was POLICY for me to pull up my bank statements as proof EVEN THOUGH I gave her the receipt. Racially profiling is not ok....this will be the last time I shop there.
The place is nice. The people who works there are polite and helpful. I bought 2 pairs of earrings for my daughter, they helped me to find the right one. I got both pairs of earrings at good price. And my daughter loves the earrings. Thank you pagoda.
Got an infection
Please never go here, never take your kids here, don’t let anyone you know go here either. I made the mistake last November of going here to get 2 cartilage piercings. I didn’t know much about piercings at the time, and if I had, I never would have set foot near this place to begin with. Everything they tell you about caring for your piercing is WRONG. They say they’re licensed professionals, but every professional piercer know that you NEVER twist your earrings while they’re healing. PP people tell you to do this so that the earring does not get stuck, but this is wrong. As an actual professional piercer & tattoo artist explained to me, when your piercing is healing, skin forms around it. Twisting your earring will BREAK the skin, irritate your piercing, and prevent it from healing. It is absolutely awful that they tell people to twist, and I wish I’d never gone to them.Another thing— piercing guns are always bad. No professional piercer will use a gun because they know that it is unsanitary— there is no way to sanitize a gun, so you could be exposed to the diseases/infections the people before you have. You can sterilize needles! Plus needles are sharp so they poke through your skin with little force, so using needles is safe. Guns literally shove the earring post through your ear in order to “pierce,” and this is very traumatic for your ear. Piercing guns have actually already been banned in some parts of Europe, and they should honestly be banned in the US too so that PP isn’t allowed to use them. One last critique— they give you a bottle and tell you to clean your ears with that, but nowhere on the bottle or online could I find out what was actually in it. When I went to get piercings at a tattoo parlor (which I highly recommend because people there actually know what they’re doing), my piercer told me that the solution PP gives you actually irritates your ear. You’re supposed to use saline solution to clean piercings!! But of course PP doesn’t tell you that. It’s been 6 months since I got my piercings and they still haven’t healed. Cartilages/helixes should take around 2-3 months, but 6 months later the area of my piercings has a huge bump that has not gone away. Plus my ear was bleeding? The earrings were incredibly painful to keep in— cartilage piercings should NOT be hurting after this long. After months of diligently cleaning the piercings with saline solution, I finally gave up yesterday and took the studs out. I will never go to this place again, and I don’t think anyone else should either.
Went here the other day to get my cartilage pierced. While looking at the piercing earrings they told me I could only choose certain ones. I went to the one in paramus mall and I was able to pick from any of the piercing earrings. Very disappointed with this one in the menlo mall.
Staff was great with piercing my granddaughters ears.
Amazing people there and loved how my earring came out, alondra was very nice. definitely coming back again for more piercings
The manager did my daughters ear pericing when she was 4 month old and they looked great. Now my daughter is 2 and we still enjoy shopping for earrings at pagoda. The workers are all friendly and help you out. Customer service is great!
I was taken care by a young woman named Alondra, amazing experience, she was really nice and love how my piercing came out. Definitely coming back again.
I recently went to the Menlo Park Mall location In search of a christening gift. I was completly lost considering that this is my first time Being a godparent, and was unsure of what to buy. Luckly for me I was assisted by Audelia which was very helpful and patient in helping me find the perfect gift for my godson. I was very pleased with my purchase ! Will definitely be back for all my future purchases.
Yanet and audelia are beyond helpful.. so is the complete staff.. i have gone here for years and everytime im treated like family.. i would never shop at any other pagoda shop. recently bought diamond heart shaped earrings and necklace for my gf and she loved it!
Warning! Do not go here. People that work here do not know how to pierce right. Even, if u get a piercing here it wont last plus they will suggest a smaller earring so that it will sink into your ear.
Worst management, doesn’t even deserve half a star.My friend got his ear pierced the day before, some lady did the piercing completely wrong.Today we visited the shop again, & guess what, we were standing there for 15 mins and there was no one to attend us !PS. because we were indian i guess !! racism!!
I had my 6 mo. old’s rara pierced today. They are visibly uneven with one so much higher than the other. I decided to take them both off, let the hole close, and try again elsewhere. $50+ down the drain. I do not reccomend this location.
Got my cartilages pierced here and they screwed up about 5 times, so they had to repierce multiple times and my ear was a bloody mess with a lot of pain. Piercings are still uneven but they didnt even apologize, just told me it was my fault somehow. Would never go back, get your piercings done elsewhere.
Horribly uneven piercing by the Indian lady on my 4 months old. She even tried to charge us more. But my husband noticed it before swiping his card & she had to charge us actual amount which was less.Arrogant n careless, she was unapologetic. Hate the lady..
The worst customer service ever on top of that didnt know their product knowledge and didnt know what basic nose ring types were
The Indian lady needs sone serious training on customer service. I have never ever met someone who is as rude as her.
Uneven piercing. Was better off going to Claires
Horrible horrible customer service !! I was called a liar by a fat woman with glasses who works there after we had a misunderstanding about what the insurance covers .(Which it covers absolutely nothing )! After clearly being lied to previously to persuade me to purchase the insurance . I do not recommend this location at all !
PIERCING IS FREE they will rip you,Never do piercing here they will sell u insurance which basically doesnt cover any thing and they wont do piercing without it,they will insist you to buy antiseptic lotion if you dont buy they will refuse to do piercing girls have to call there supervisor to do piercing without selling antiseptic lotion if she aproves then only they can do
Too expensive
