Great staff to work with. From office staff to onsite workers. Caring, compassionate and very thorough.
I strongly advise against using RestoreCore for any home renovation work.I recently incurred water damage to my kitchenand my insurance company, MetLife, referred RestoreCore to me as part of their preferred contractor program. They very quickly got in touch with me and came out to the house - as they told me on the phone we are graded by our promptness to respond. So within a day, someone was at my house to measure and provide an estimate. While at the house, I also asked if he would look at my bathroom, since thats where the leak initiated and the plumber had to cut some tile. The guy was really nice and said there was probably a claim to be submitted and that he would measure as part of the quote. We told him we werent sure if we wanted to renovate our bathroom but would be interested in how much the claim would be for and he assured us thats not a problem. Later that week, someone else from RestoreCore got in touch saying they needed a few additional measurements in our bathroom and asked if he could come out - no problem; he came promptly and told my wife all the same information as the first gentlement. They submitted the claim to insurance and everything was going well. Then, radio silence. Over the course of a month I emailed twice and left voice messages at the office, yet never heard back from anyone. Finally, about 6 weeks after measurements were taken, a third gentleman reached out to me asking if I had any plans to move forward with the project. Um, yes, ive been trying to get in touch and nobody is getting back to me! He said my project, along with many others, had just been transferred to him so he was just reaching out to everyone. I informed him that we still had a hole in our ceiling and really wanted to get it fixed, so we were anxious to have someone come out and repair. So of course I was fairly surprised when a couple days later the gentleman called me back to tell me that unfortunately they could only do the project if they were used to repair BOTH my kitchen AND bathroom. Put aside the fact that we are under absolutely not obligation to renovate our bathroom, this went completely against what two different employees told us from the beginning. It was clear that once we let them into our bathroom to appraise, the inital project of doing just our kitchen was no longer appealing to them so they were trying to bully us into a larger project. All of a sudden they didnt have the men to spare to send someone to our home for a day job.I asked several times for them to clarify and was told that the order was coming directly from the boss. I asked to speak to the manager as id like to better understand where I could see their policies and shockingly have not received a call back.Do not use.
I am very dissatisfied with the painting job they did for me. First, it took months. Secondly they painted 4 panels the wrong color. They made no attempt to correct it or give me money back. Then they put in a wood floor and I have to tell them there is a lump in it. I signed off on it because after months I wanted them out of my house. Now, they hound me for payment. Lets see, it takes them months to finish the job and they want to get paid within 2 weeks....doesnt seem like a good customer service company to me. I know my insurance company made a record of this. We are hoping that people think twice about this company so they dont have to go through this.
I would highly NOT RECCOMEND using this company. The owner and upper manamegment are scam artists. For instance... if you decide to sign a restorecore reconstruction contract (the rebuild and repairs to your home after mitigation is complete) the minimum profit margin the project managers must obtain is 55%. Hence if insurance values your claim at $10,000 the project manager will only give you 45% of the value and $5,500 of that $10k goes into the owners of restorecore’s pocket. Therefore, the PM will show you materials much lower in grade / quality in order for him/her to obtain the required profit margin. Most of the time the client will be unhappy with the final product of the re-build and repairs due to inferior products and low grade workmanship. The upper management then comes down on the PM for delivering “poor” customer service. It’s a double edge sword. They do a decent job with water mitigation and dealing with the initial flood / damage, but after that take your money from insurance and run!! Find a competent local contractor for your repairs and re-build and DO NOT consider Restorecore.
