This company should be shut down. How is it legal to mess with someones credit score for applying for a place to live?

This. Company is extremely dangerous. Scammers the town house. We applied. never return calls after they got the application. Fee then another. Surprise. The hard pull. Credit they’re horrible

This company does a hard pull on your credit information which can negatively affect your credit score. This was done without my knowledge when applying to a townhome. Extremely crooked of a company to needlessly affect someones credit score.

Absolutely NO REASON to be dong a hard pull for a new lease. In 11 years of renting, I have never had this happen. And with zero forewarning. I applied to Blue Apartments in Uptown Minneapolis and now have a mark on my credit report for the next 2 years. A background check does not mean a hard inquiry on your credit report!

Hard pull?!? Yall must feel good about yourself!🤔 AND inaccurate reporting of my credit score. So sad that way of conducting business is acceptable. You would think with the horrible reviews management would take heed and do something different. Sad...

Slow about getting reports

Uses an unnecessary hard credit inquiry when performing a background check on behalf of a rental property, modestly hurting your credit score for two years despite you not seeking credit at all (my understanding from looking online is that very, very few rental checks do hard inquiries). Poorly communicated this information when asking permission to run a credit check, didnt even know until looking at my credit report online months later that theyd used a hard inquiry.

Stop using hard inquiries during background searches for rentals.

Never heard of this company before. Havent applied for a rental at ALL in almost a year. Why is a completely random company checking my credit score and wrecking it for NO REASON??

I agree with everyone who seems to have a problem here. A hard pull for a rental seems pretty unnecessary.

Tentative Employee or Tenant fills out everything online and copy of report is sent to your Email. Ive used several background check services but RHR is the Easiest, and if I ever have a question, they are always there to answer in person.

I have not been a renter since 2003. Out of the blue I get notified (8/2020) that this company has done a hard credit report recently without my knowledge or acceptance. I will be reporting this to the BBB and my states attorney general. Ill check with my wife to see if she plans on moving out?

Avoid My Rental History Reports, RHRIS they have extremely unreliable reporting! I had used Rental History Report for credit and background check on several properties that I managed. I just ran an Enhanced Package report on a prospective tenant & the report came back with a few misdemeanors but nothing to raise any serious concern. Just to double check before approving the applicant I did a google search on that same prospective tenant and uncovered FELONY charges for aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and illegal gun possession. I contacted RHRIS to see why these FELONY charges were missed in their Criminal History report, to which they told me the Enhanced Package report will show State level felony charges, but not Federal level felony charges and that I should have paid more money for the next highest package level to obtain this information.

They called for an inquiry and said that I could go online to respond. When I put in the information they gave me along with the number they called, the system said it couldnt process. That lead me to believe that they want to talk to a live person than an electronic response. I dont trust lying businesses!! Why tell me I could do something when you know you havent made it possible.

I am applying for the Hillsborough in Roseville and am having to get a credit screening from Rental History Reports. After completing all the information asked for on the application site, like any other application Ive ever done, I assumed I would get a call in a few days after the screen was complete, letting me know the results. It hasnt been that simple.First I was contacted because they didnt have enough information and wanted another paystub. I was confused why they didnt ask for more information up front in the application, but that could be the Hillsboroughs fault, as it was their website that I did the application on. So I sent RHR the rest of the requested information they asked for.Few hours later they called again, asked for my work phone number, which I had already given them. Then they called my work phone and upon reaching me asked to speak to my manager... I didnt expect that, but I went and informed my manager and called RHR back to give them her number. The person that answered at RHR was someone different than who I had just last spoke too and had much worse customer service. She then asked me to have my manager call them. What the heck. Its their job to do the calling. My manager is busy.Alright... my manager is a nice person, gives them a call. They proceed to ask very specific personal information that a manager isnt able to give out. Regardless, RHR was happy with the information given I guess.Now four days have gone by, didnt hear from them until just now. They just called me to ask for another paystub! One they already had! She asked for my most recent... clearly didnt look at the date on the paystub as it was only a week old.Ive had plenty of background screens and credit checks completed in my past. Never have I had to spend so much time to getting it completed. I dont even think any previous background checks ever even called me, or my managers to my knowledge.I get that RHR has a job to do, and they need to collect information, but the way theyve gone about doing it is in my opinion very unprofessional and unorganized. If I were a company looking for a company to perform background screenings, I would look elsewhere.

TWO HARD INQUIRIES with no forewarning or explanation.

They did two hard pulls for one rental application. The second one was done after I was accepted in the apartment community. Thanks for tanking my score by 50 points. YOU ARE A JOKE!!!!

Reporting my credit score to a property management company that I am trying to rent through, a full 50 points lower than the actual score so my deposit is supposed to be 1.5 times the monthly rent now because of this.

Landlord ran a hard pull credit check thru them without telling me.. SAD!

Hard inquiry. Be sure to ask your landlord what service they are using to check rental history. RHR unnecessarily hard-inquires your credit and hurts your score. Bogus.

Know someone who worked there was let go no warning no talking to went home one night and was called the next morning fired no good reason at all are these the kind of people you want associate with I think not RHR is the last company in the world I would do business with if they dont treat employees right they will not treat customers right
