Did not inform me they didn’t have ultrasound capabilities when I made my first prenatal appointment. When I was finally at the appointment I was informed there would be no ultrasound, which is the whole point of an 8-9 week pregnancy appointment. The nurse asked me “Well did you ask if we had an ultrasound tech when you made the appointment?” Never crossed my mind to ask when their job is prenatal care. My previous OBGYN always did my ultrasounds herself so I was also put off by the fact that the doctor apparently wasn’t able to do it herself. The receptionist explained “Our ultrasound tech moved to Florida.” Unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Very disappointed.
I had a great experience with Dr Scheff. She was really taking time during appointments to make sure all my questions answered. Im happy with the staff as well, everyone polite and positive. Everything was done on time, i was getting phone calls with my test results sometimes even sooner than promised. I would definitely recommend dr. Scheff to my friends
Dr Scheff and staff have been very helpful, caring and professional to me during my pregnancy. I would recommend her to anyone in NJ seeking proper care.
I chose Dr. Scheff hastily when I first found out I was pregnant. I had just moved from out of state and didnt have an OBGYN in NJ yet. The receptionist is extremely rude and condescending. The wait time is always an hour after your appointment time. And they didnt call me with test results - I had to call them. I was told the results would take a couple days, so I called after a week. They were negative, thank goodness, but I spent a week worrying over nothing. I dont feel comfortable or happy here and am trying to find another doctor, which is difficult at 30 weeks pregnant. If you have another choice for a doctor, stay away from Carepoint!UPDATE: I was lucky enough to find another doctor after I wrote the above review. I called and asked the receptionist, Marcia, to fax over my records on 8/3/17. As of 8/18/17, my new doctor still hasnt received anything. I had to call and request AGAIN that they transfer my records to the new doctor. This is exactly why Im leaving, and only reassures me that I made the right choice. The nurse, Nicole, is the only good thing in this office. She should be running the place.
Dont ever call to make an appointment had me on hold for over 20 minutes and counting... Dr Scheff is definitely worth it but the customer service at this place is terrible.
My experience was horrible. The women who did my ultrasound made me feel uncomfortable and was very short with me. She told me she wasnt going to tell me my babies weight cause they told me last week which I never had a problem when I asked at the Hoboken office and didnt give me pictures of my ultrasound or any paperwork. When I complained she wanted to redo the ultrasound but I told her if you made me feel uncomfortable and was short with me when I was asking questions l why would I let you touch me again she proceeds to try and grab me and my father stepped in front of me to stop her I got their names and believe me I will never come back to this office in edgewater ever again and I will be calling carepoint and the manager to complain
