If you dont know exactly what you are needing for your project their staff is very helpful and lead you in the right direction! They even go the extra mile to show you the best ways to utilizes the equipment and answer all of your questions.We are very impressed and thankful for the flexibility and genuine care they have for their customers. You really dont see that in renting from big box stores or other chain rental places! We will go through A-Z Rental every time we are in need of equipment going forward!

For numerous reasons but I had a flat tire on my work van I didnt even realize and an employee came out and told me to pull closer for air, he ended up changing my valve stem for free mind you in the rainJust to be nice . Really easy experience for rental of an Aerator. Was a little hiccup where one hadnt been returned on time so I had to wait - but they were accommodating of how that affected my schedule and I appreciated it. Equipment was good. Staff was great. When I need another tool Ill be back again!

On two recent occasions we rented a gasoline powered pressure washer and a mechanical buckthorn tree puller. The staff were very helpful deciding on the choices for the equipment and reviewed the operation of the pressure washer. The explanations and review of operations were helpful. The prices are competitive and often lower than the competition. I have been coming here for our rental needs for years and will continue to do so.

Ive rented wood chippers from A-Z twice, and both times Ive had a great experience. The customer service was friendly, and the equipment worked great. When I returned the wood chipper, someone was waiting in the lot and unhooked it from my vehicle immediately. I will definitely be back.

Best place Ive found in the SW suburbs to refill your propane tanks. At $17 for a 20lb tank, its also the best price. Drive around back for the rental desk and propane service.

My friend, Beth Fenske, stated she called to discuss renting an excavator to do some projects in her backyard. She wanted to let me know how impressed she was with the person who helped her on the phone. They were polite, attentive, and took the time to look up prices that she needed. She didnt remember who she spoke to but wanted to make sure that I knew that the employee was amazing and thanked me. Thank you to that employee!

Have rented tools here on a few occasions. Fair rates, never had a problem with the tools but the customer service here is weak. The reason I rent tools is because they are huge and I dont often use them. So if I politely ask for a quick refresher tutorial on how to use one, they should take a few minutes and be helpful. Not rush me out of the lot. Leading to difficulties and wasted time.

Owner was very rude very belligerent refuse to take my money pretty much pushed me out of the store because he didn’t like the type of card I was using even though I am a business owner and wanted to rent almost $800 worth of equipment from him and had the money. Claim he was the owner and he can do what he wants treated me like I was some crook trying to steal his tools I would not recommend this place for any contractor looking to rent equipment who knows what you’re actually getting it this is how they treat customers

HORRIBLE SERVICE and equipment DID NOT work!The man at the counter (wish I remembered his name) was super rude right from the start. Hardly looking up and treating us as if we needed them more than they needed us. We rented the equipment, had to beg them to give us instructions. We hauled it home and it was broken. They never bothered to turn it on at their facility to be sure it worked. This was a VERY heavy piece and now we had to get it back in the truck and back to them. When we went back in they acted like total jerks. They did admit it didnt work but did NOT apologize or do anything about the 3 hours we wasted which we had to pay our contractor. Total unprofessional rude nasty people working in there! We would NEVER go back! Now we go to Southwest Power Equipment in Chaska/chanhassen. Its worth the extra drive for me and my crew because we get treated better, they have better quality equipment and their prices are much better.

Rude, crude and dishonest.After spending several thousand dollars renting various equipment over the period of a couple of months I was satisfied with the service and the equipment, especially the yard staff. The guys at the counter however, I found surly and indifferent. But, hey, its a rental yard. Then we had a problem.If you dont have the money to pay for the equipment you plan to rent from A-to-Z, make sure you have your own, personal, insurance plan for the specific equipment you plan to rent. Take pictures of the equipment before it leaves the lot and again when your return it.Should the attendants (guys in the yard) give you special instructions in order to make inoperable components of any equipment work for you, take careful notes. You will need them later.If you should damage said equipment in any way, do not expect A-to-Z to inquire as to your health or welfare, ask you if your job got done, or if you may need another machine to finish. Expect instead, rude behavior, a bill and a obstinate; PAY ME NOW, response with legal threats to follow. Expect to be charged for anything that ever happened to the equipment you are renting, whether recent or preexisting.In my case A-to-Z sent three (3) different estimates for alleged damage, all included the parts actually damaged and parts previously damaged or inoperable when I took possession. I am convinced that A-to-Z regularly intimidates the unaware into paying for equipment maintenance and/or replacement. I have rented everything from card tables to bulldozers in 5 states over the past 40 years and never been treated so poorly.In short, if the ancient, and worn out, equipment you rent from A-to-Z is damaged, or in any way fails to perform the work you rented it for, get another one from someone who cares, and let A-Z know that you do not want their junk on your property. Tell them to come and get it and watch them closely lest your lawn is not torn up as mine was.Or, you could just go to an honest, professionally operated rental company from the start.PS. I just came from A-to-Z and after a short conversation, with the help, about their poor business practice and general stupidity, one of the counter men called be an A** Hole on my way out the door. Perfect!

Honestly, I wasnt sure if I was going to make a review, but the response of our issue solidified I would.When we picked up our trailer, the left blinker/brake light was not working. We didnt really have other options at that point, so when it was suggested that if we are stopped to say it worked when we left we agreed that we would just make do.Half way to our destination, we hit a bump and all of the trailer lights went out. We were driving at night, so this became a big issue. We stopped at a truck stop. reconnected the adapter/etc, but couldnt get them working. Bought a bunch of reflectors, attached them to the trailer, and continued on our way.We tried to find someone to fix the lights after we arrived, but the places remotely close to us during our trip were all closed for the thanksgiving weekend. We tried reconnecting and such again in the daylight, in which we found that an originally 7 pin trailer with brakes had been cut to 4 pin. We bought a new 7 to 4 pin adapter (we had borrowed one from the shop) in case that was the issue. We eventually got the right blinker/ brake light working. We bought 2 red bicycle lights. Put the steady red light on our mill/load to show the trailer, and I rolled down the window and used the blinking one to signal left turns with the other bike light. We added more reflection to the trailer and drove home after we picked up our mill/load.The thing that drives me nuts the most, and why I am posting this, is that when we dropped off the trailer I said the trailer lights went out on our trip, we were met with a huh, an incredulous look, and a redirection to remove the trailer from our truck. I didnt expect much, at most a that sucks sort of sentiment. It was a frustrating experience with the trailer, and to be met with such a nonchalant/incredulous attitude just really made me upset.

I have rented from these guys for years. Their equipment has always helped me get the job done. They have always answered my dumb questions with genuinely useful advice. I have rented from other outfits before and can honestly say A-Z is the most hassle-free to rent from.

Went in to rent a rock-vac which I had reserved a few weeks ahead. It had rained a bit overnight but never having used one before and not being told anything when making the reservation, I didnt know that it was an issue. When I asked for it, the guys looks at me like Im an idiot and asks are you honestly considering using that today? Well yeah, dick, I was. He then goes on to tell me why thats the dumbest idea hes ever heard. How about learning some social skills and how to interact with customers? I was excited to have a rental place with a wide variety of tools but after this experience Ill be going elsewhere. The only reason they get 2 stars is because they didnt let me waste my money. I understand this is only one employee but they shouldnt have people interacting with customers who are unable to treat them with respect.

I arrived 5 minutes before closing and I was denied the ability to rent a trailer that was sitting right by the front door. Im never coming back because Brad was so rude and would not work with me. I arrived during the listed open times. This is ridiculous.

I just made a $450 purchase at this store, While there one of the men behind the counter took a call from a customer who had just rented a piece of equipment. He explained to customer how to operate it because he did not understand how it worked. After he finished and hung up the counter man preceded to berate the customer and call him a moron in front of me. If this is what your company feels about the people who spend money in your store I dont think I want to do business their or recommend it to anybody I know. Im very dissatisfied.

Rented scaffolding for a week and they charged $199. I thought that price was for two weeks, i had it for a week and two days and they charged me for a whole other week! Fair price my rear

Okay rental place, but severely overpriced. Compared to Home Depot tool rental, everything (or almost everything) is 30 to 50% more expensive. I cannot justify paying a lot more for the same service.
