I recently took my older Asus laptop in to ComputerFixx in Eden Prairie for Windows 10 upgrade. John was able to backup my files, replace the hard drive, upgrade the ram and update to Windows 10 within one day – and for a very reasonable price. He explained everything in terms that I could easily understand. And he’s such a pleasant and personable guy too! I would highly recommend ComputerFixx in Eden Prairie.

I absolutely highly recommend John & Computer Fixx. I went with a drive problem. He told me what he could do & how much. Then he solved my problem of having a durable travel hard drive. Told me exactly how to do it. Even though there was no money in it for him. He really knows his stuff and more importantly wont sell you what you dont need. My computer was crashing and I was desperate, so I went to BestBuy geek squad who told me my 2 year old computer (that I bought from BestBuy) couldnt be fixed and that I needed a new computer. I went to the store and spoke with John who was courteous, helpful, mindful of my situation, and spent more time than most people explaining things to me. Within a day he diagnosed the problem. within a few short days my computer (that I was told by BestBuy couldnt be repaired) is working better than ever. The owner of this ComputerFixx branch threatened to sue me if I notify the BBB or leave a negative review. I originally contacted the Eden Prairie ComputerFixx for help with honoring the 90-service agreement that the West St. Paul ComputerFixx has decided not to honor because I asked them to momentarily control my mouse during a remote service session (please see the Google review I left for the West St. Paul ComputerFixx that details the bizarre interaction). The Eden Prairie owner said that they cannot honor the commitments of the other store and that they were skeptical of me out of the gate. I replied that if I cannot get the 90-day service guarantee honored, then I have no recourse but to notify the appropriate agencies and share my experience with the public forum. To this, he wrote I do have a lawyer and I don’t mind pursing a defamation suit and I withdraw any services I offered and you are never welcome in my Eden Prairie location and Any further communication is unwelcome from you, that’s my only warning.In short, the experience with both ComputerFixx branches was dysfunctional and abusive.

Of all my experiences with PC repair, and there have many, ComputerFixx is unparalleled. From their excellent customer service, strong technical expertise, and competitive pricing they have become my one-stop-shop for all things technical.Rather than simply resolving the issue and sending you on your way, the owner/tech associates will explain the issue in detail, and provide their suggestion on how to address the issue based on their diagnosis. In the two separate times that I have brought my PC in, the turnaround is always very agreeable but never rushed.In my most recent visit, I had a problem with my PC fan sporadically accelerating and decelerating even when idle. It turns out that my motherboard was not properly fastened to the case. They also recommended to have my closed-loop liquid cooler fan re-positioned for maximum air flow. Additionally, they recommended some other case fans that are much quieter and efficient. When the new closed-loop CPU cooler was installed, it ended up being faulty so I brought it in again that same week. They installed a brand new one for free, and also installed the new case fans that I purchased based on their recommendation, also for free.Suffice it to say, you will not be disappointed when you bring your PC, laptop, or cell phone to this great establishment.

John is brilliant with computers, and will be straightforward and honest with you on issues when it comes to fixing something. And if your looking for a computer build, he will costume tailor it for your specific needs. Taking my laptop to ComputerFixx was one of the best decisions Ive made. Travis was fantastic. I have a lap top that I rarely used, but suddenly was in a position which required its constant use. As luck would have it, it fell off the couch and hit the hardwood floors hard. it stopped working properly. I took it to Computer Fixx in Eden Prairie and I couldnt be more happy with the results. John rocks. My old desktop was super slow so I brought it in for a tune up. Turns out it had all kinds of viruses and the hard drive was 99% full. John presented the options and the costs of those options and answered my many questions. We ended up upgrading the hard drive from 40 meg to 2 TB and he cleaned out the viruses. We probably added 3 mores years of life to it.I also brought in a laptop with a broken internal mouse. John ordered the part and called me when it was done. I was totally impressed with ComputerFixx. I went to then to see if they could repair my iPhone 6s cracked screen. They told me while they could do it that it would be cheaper to go to Apple to fix. Fantastic service! Not only was the problem solved, but the gentleman that runs the store was honest and offered some of the best service I have EVER received.

I spent 4 hours on the phone with Go Daddy customer service trying to get my email set up before I finally gave up and brought my laptop to John at ComputerFixx. Weve had him work on at least three different computer projects over the last year and hes responsive, fast and very fair in his pricing. This company was the first on my google search for fixing a MacBook Pro and I would highly recommend it to others! I had a mysterious 3 beeps coming from my MacBook and wouldnt turn on. Initially, I brought it into apple where they told me it would cost $400 to fix. I went to ComputerFixx and it was fixed within 24 hours for only $50! Very knowledgeable and professional company!

Truly amazing customer service. John, the partial owner of the company and the guy who actually does the fixing, is incredibly friendly and honest and will make sure the job gets done right and for a great price. I dropped my $700 laptop on the concrete, the battery fell out and wouldnt latch, the DVD drive didnt close, the body was all dented, and the plastic cracked. I was expecting to pay $400-$500 to have it fixed. However, John ended up doing it for about $130...I was amazed and incredibly happy with the work he performed. This place is truly top-notch!

I am very happy with the service I received from John at ComputerFixx. I brought in my MacBook Air because the fan was so loud, and he troubleshooted until he figured out the solution! I was not without my laptop for long, and he texted me updates along the way. Very happy customer!

John(owner) is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I have an old desktop machine and the power button was wearing out and needed a backup (among other things, John found). He fixed everything! John was very easy to work with and really dug into the issues. Now my computer runs faster and will last longer. John was incredible. Over a vacation I spilled liquid all over my keyboard and completely fried it. Shortly after this I went to the Geek Squad at Best Buy to see what they could do. After they had looked at it they told me that 0% of my files could be recovered. I was referred to John at ComputerFixx by my mother and as a last ditch effort I figured I would take my laptop in to him and see what he could do. In record time he called me on my cell phone and told me that he recovered 100% of my files. I was absolutely blown away. Thanks again John!!

Very friendly fast service and very knowledgeable

John is my hero. He saved my MacBook Pro that had bad water damage. Everyone I went to before was scared to touch a Mac or charged outrageous prices. This was a flat fee plus parts which he found himself. If anything else should happen, John is my new technology savior. He is extremely knowledgeable and he walks you through exactly what he plans on doing so there arent any unexpected surprises. Prices are very reasonable and compared to anyone else that fixes Macs they are the cheapest I have found. Plus you get John and he is worth every penny.

5 stars is really not enough! My Lenovo laptop was slowly crashing hard and Hugh at the Bloomington location was ready and willing to give it his all. When I dropped it off at the E.P. location I spoke with John and told him about my laptop. I also told him how my husband is the bill payer and computer guy but has been in the hospital for 6 out of the past 8 weeks fighting for his life against stage 5 kidney disease and stage 4 colon cancer and how all info for bills and logins was on that dying laptop. I received a call the same day. John stayed and finished my laptop and had it ready by the next morning and to top it off it was at a fraction of what it couldve cost. I really cannot thank him and his staff enough. By far the best service I have ever experienced! Will recommend to EVERYONE!

Awesome Service! Just yesterday my laptop screen broke. I spent 30 or more minuets looking for near by computer repair shops. Google found this one for me and it had excellent reviews. I called in and spoke to John. A few mins later I was at his shop. We talked about what needed to be done and the aprox price range. Not more than an hour later I received a call from John. It was done, Computer fixxed.All in All-Speedy repair-Lower than normal price from other shops-Epic ServiceIGN 10/10 Would do again.
