Literally the worst experience I have ever had dealing with the Minneapolis, MN crew. They are afraid to answer the phone and do not return phone calls. Like the other reviews have mentioned, avoid if necessary.

Use them as a last resort! They caused us more problems than they solved. We would have left them mid-lease, but they were going to charge us a $300 penalty. We probably should have just paid up and left. I could detail a dozen instances where they let us down, didnt support us, didnt communicate. Very disappointing experience. Here is one brief example just to give you an idea. We were contacted by RW who told us our tenants were not getting any heat in several bedrooms. We asked RW to have the tenants try a few possible solutions before we called an HVAC contractor. It was winter and it was cold, so it was important to get this solved quickly. The tenants were getting frustrated, so RW set up a conference call between all of us. About 5 minutes into the discussion, I sensed there was a problem. I asked, Tell me your name again? What is your address? Turns out these were not even our tenants! We had narrowly avoided spending $125 on an HVAC service call to our property... where everything was working just fine. And, the tenants had to start all over to get their problem solved. There are way too many working parts to this company. They dont communicate with each other. Each time you call ( and wait times can be very long) you get a different person, who reads through notes of previous calls to figure out how to respond. If an important issue requires RW to call you back, they rarely do, which means you have to call again, tell your story again, and get the run around again. I totaled 6 hours on the phone over the course of 4 calls just to find out how to cancel! It is important to have a property manager who you can develop a trusting relationship with; who knows you, your tenants and your property. This is definitely not going to happen with RW.

You can never actually contact a leasing agent about a property listed. Every add gives a number to the supposed agent however its just a line that kick back to renters warehouse employees who arent even in the country and can not answer any questions about the property. Only way you can get a hold of someone is to apply for the property in which 1 case I did they collected my application money and then didnt even run or submit my application. This company is impossible to work with and should come up with better implementation!

Where is the rating for zero stars? Horrible organization. Jon Ortner with corporate, family member of Kevin Ortner, President/CEO; Dani Bucholtz, Charlotte Sales Director and Felicia Brower, Charlotte Real Estate Advisor, along with the landlords they represent are slum lords. Our daughter and two of her roommates had few options to rent near Wake Forest University during the pandemic when kids needed to move off campus. They contacted RW about two properties for weeks. Both properties were well located near the University but in horrible condition including signs in front of one for violations from the city. RW reps were very slow to respond if they did at all. Weeks passed. Houses on/off market. Then RW suddenly rented the house my daughter wanted to someone else. She looked at the other house, which falsely advertised the number of bedrooms, needed LOTS of work and was way overpriced. But college kids needed a place. So they ultimately rented this house. Both RW and ownership group are absentee and its obvious that neither came to inspect or maintain the house. They hired a cleaning crew that my daughter observed was there and told Felicia, to her surprise. Felicia was asking our daughter to be the local arms and legs for notifying who was at the house prior to rental, dealing with lockbox, etc. Once lease was signed, RW wouldnt give them keys without the kids overnighting bank checks - contrary to the lease. The kids folded. They got keys, started living there expecting RW and ownership to come do obvious maintenance and repairs that they hadnt bothered to check out themselves but the kids would give them a list. They found roaches, ants, spiders, hornets nests, 2 eyes staring back at them behind the vent, holes in interior walls and wide open exterior crawlspace to any animal interested back in this weed infested/overgrown/garbage strewn lot, maggots in garbage can, gutters missing and broken and full of weeds, cracked windows, electrical and wiring issues, plumbing issues, fire safety issues, no smoke detectors in bedrooms with windows that do not open, etc. Numerous code issues that could be fixed but they wouldnt. Jon Ortner signed the lease on behalf of RW and is unresponsive. Felicia and Dani are unresponsive to issues with the house but claim the kids rented the house as is which does not agree with the lease language, prior discussions and written exchanges nor with municipal or state laws. The kids need a place to live for school but cannot even stay there until extermination is performed and repairs are made, which they are forced to hire and handle themselves because RW and landlords are unresponsive.Word is that prior WFU student tenants moved out early due to vermin infestation and other issues with the house. No surprise. We are filing complaints with BBB, writing reviews and spreading the word among other steps. Its been a months now yet RW and owners have said they are going to fix some items but have done zero. The city has now inspected the premises and has found numerous violations including a number of violations making the premises unfit. Photos of letter are shown.

This complaint is specifically directed toward the 5203 Maryland way Brentwood, TN office:Stay VERY far away from any property managed by this company and if you’re stuck in contract with them, I highly suggest you document EVERYTHING. For reference, our property was specifically managed by Bradley Gregg and Glenn Ziser. We were left with no A/C for 2 1/2 days in the middle of summer before anyone came to look at our unit. We also were unable to get in contact with the management team when our septic tank backed up into our lines for 4 days and were unable to wash dishes, shower, or use our toilets. The poor emergency maintenance company did all they could to reach out to them multiple times while we called, left messages, and emailed management, as well. This was after they made us pay for a plumber MONTHS prior because of slow flushing and we were not reimbursed immediately nor was anything remedied when we were told it was because the septic tank was filled to the brim. It took me showing up to their office with pictures of the full tank from months ago and demanding someone to help us for anything to be done. These were just a couple of complaints as I could write for days on their lack of integrity and work ethic. They are about as negligent of a company as they come.

Very poor customer service. I have tried for 1.5 months to get inspection scheduled and keep getting pushed off to department after department. No returned phone calls or emails. Even while renting when placing a service report we never received a call back. Had to call owner myself to get repair done as Renters Warehouse was no help. Do not recommend them as property management.

I wish I could post 0 stars. Renters warehouse charged rent after account has been cancelled. They are going about every which way not to reimburse me. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No one is helpful, nor can give an answer as to what to do. Everyone says something different. Worked with multiple customer service associates and managers including Myles, Armie, Jamie, Katie and Devon. I would never recommend working with renters warehouse. Even the managers are not helpful nor; worst customer service company.

This is the worst company! I have moved out 4 months ago, and still do not have my security deposit back. I was told that my security deposit was supposed to come from another agency (twice- two different agencies), then I was told the security deposit was given to the homeowner and that the homeowner would have to refund me!This is a horrible agency! I had to reach out to the Better Business Bureau in order to get the responses that I now have. Lets see how long this agency drags this issue on, when this issue should have been taken care of ASAP!

Very poor experience with the Phoenix area renters warehouse. I can honestly say it was the worst customer service experience of my life. When we first moved in, there was very obviously an ant infestation. When we called to complain, the representative said it was not their problem, we had already moved in and to call an exterminator. Months after this, we needed our tree trimmed. We were told someone would contact us to set a time up, as my Fiance works nights and needs to rest during the day. Sometime in the following week during the morning, a man showed up to trim the tree. When told to please leave, he got hostile and started cussing at my Fiance and trying to intimidate her into letting him stay. After calling renters warehouse and explaining it, they said he is there already and will finish, and that they had talked to me and I said that time was ok (this was an absolute lie). Any time we called in for a work order, the representatives were rude and acted like we were a bothering them to do their jobs. Fast forward to a few weeks before our lease is up, and I had left both Adrian and Justin MULTIPLE messages and calls trying to have some closing questions answered. Never did I get a single call back. The only time they returned our calls (Adrian) was to cater to something they need, and were extremely rude about it. During this time as well work orders were placed from them looking at the property without my knowledge, and the only way I was informed was when I would be called by a contractor or one would show up. Upon calling and complaining to the upper management of renters warehouse in Arizona, they simply stated that they knew they were weak in the area of customer service. They acted like this was the usual experience. The final straw was when a representative went in to do a closing inspection, and left our A.C. on, causing a hefty power bill. We had not lived in the property for two months so we knew it was them. When we Finally got someone on the phone to complain to, they acted like we were lying. They finally admitted it was one of their employees after submitted proof, and we are still awaiting a refund. Do yourself a favor and do not rent from these people. The only thing this company is good at is processing work orders, but the nightmare of customer service is not worth it.

I’m convinced this place is a complete scam. We needed help to manage a property. The renter paid a large deposit fee due to credit history. Since the tenants lease has been up, I terminated Renters Warehouse because of the poor customer service. They only gave us back half the deposit and claim that they gave it all back. They’re liars, scammers and will steal your money! Stay away!!!

This is the shadiest company I have ever rented from. Hidden and undisclosed fees, incompetent rental “agents” and just a downright disgusting business. If you end up renting through them, be prepared to be frustrated, nickel and dimed, and make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing (which is always a good practice anyway).I have informed the owner of my property that she should go through a different rental management company when I eventually move out. I gave her contact information for one I’ve used previously and was way better than Renters Warehouse.

Woof, is this place a mess. Have not been able to resolve any of the multiple outstanding maintenance issues in less than 6 weeks. The ONLY form of communication is an email every now and again from usually a completely different person, who is either completely unaware of the situation, or unwilling/unable/unprepared to help in anyway. The response to maintenance requests were so poor that we withheld s portion of the monthly rent, which is clearly stated as an acceptable recourse in our lease, and now were getting seemingly automatically generated emails saying well be evicted for not paying in full. Again, can get anyone on the phone who can actually speak to our help rectify or clarify the situation in the least.Poor, poor, poor experience. I can only assume the landlord isnt getting the full story either.

I moved in to my home on 6-1-17, and have had several issues with trying to get someone out to fix the air or even return my call. My first weekend our air wouldnt work, and my husband had to fix it. We did not get access to make a portal maintenance request. When we called they told us that our address was not listed in their system, and that they had to call us back,so we kept calling the emergency maintenance line. NOO HELP FROM THEM. There was a power outage that knocked out the upstairs room electricity, and ceiling fans. That was 6-3-17, to this day this issue has not been resolved. I will not go in to more detail about all the other issues we are having because it gives me anxiety to even talk about it. I will say our relator that is no longer with the company has been very helpful with trying to get us in contact with someone. I WISH I COULD TURN BACK TIME BECAUSE I WOULD NOT BE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.

We are renting a property from RW currently and are NOT impressed by their service one bit. Ill start from the very beginning. When we came to look at the property the Agent just stood in the living room while we walked around, didnt have much to say and it almost seemed like we were inconveniencing him by wanting to see the property. We loved the house (even if the agent didnt do anything to sell it) so we jumped on it anyway. Fast forward to move in day, we waited and waited for a call letting us know how to get the keys but we never head back. Finally the day of the move in I got an email saying we would be met at the house. Now we have been tenants for 8 months and never really have to deal with the rental company. I got the contact info for the owner of our house from one of the documents they sent us. It included his home address and everything, seems like something they should keep private right? Well no they didnt. I sent an email to the owner asking if he was ok talking to me directly and he was more than happy to avoid extra BS. Well anyway we worked any small issues out to avoid contacting the company. Issues like hey can we paint this room, is this noise normal.. you get it, stuff that really doesnt need to be sent to RW just to be sent to the owner. Now comes our 1st major issue, washer stopped working. I went online to open a service order, had to log into a different site but found everything ok (im an IT guy so it was easy for me, not for the average person) The site wanted me to enter a date for service but i could tell it wasnt really a service date as I could select midnight that night.. I selected the next day assuming I would get a phone call, when I clicked submit a bunch of information changed so I had to call in to fix it. I was told it was fixed and that we just needed to wait for the home owner to OK the fix. I contacted the owner directly 5 minutes later and he had already approved the fix so I thought I was good to go!Next day I expect a call to at least schedule my fix but nothing. So I call in and was told that they just needed to contact the owner, I let them know that the owner already okd the fix. oh, i see that! Well we just need to wait on a vendor now. So I let 2 more days pass (one being the 4th) I know nothing is getting done of the 4th so I figure Ill get a call to schedule the fix on the 5th sometime. 4pm on the 5th I still have not gotten a call. I call in again and am told the same thing.. we are sending a message to the vendor. I tell them that this is getting a bit out of control. I get that the vendors are busy but I would at least expect someone to schedule something even if its next week. Im told that someone should be calling today yet. OK, you see where is is going... Now its the 6th (today) I called in again and wait on hold for 35 minutes, get an agent, go though the whole story again. Told the same thing. sending it to a vendor Explain to her that we have been told that for 4 days now. She says that she has changed the ticket to an emergency so it should be picked up faster. I kinda laugh because when I think emergency I think burst pipe, water everywhere ect. I then ask if she can give me some insight into whats been going on with the lack of communication. well we dont have any updates for you so why would we call is what Im told.. She then tells me if it was an emergency like a broken AC, someone would have been out there already. This is where I really get confused. I live in Colorado, its hot this week but if your AC doesnt work its not going to kill you (this isnt Phoenix or anything). I would think that a broken washer and AC would be in the same category but I guess because the agents are located in Phoenix.... At this point we are about ready to go buy a new washer and just move it with us as many places just have hookups anyway. I didnt plan on doing this till we moved ina few years but the nearest laundry mat is 30 minutes and sitting there with a 18month old would be crazy!! (1st world problems right)
