I came to them when my car was having trouble turning over. I read the reviews and put my trust in them to get the job done and done right. ATS Complete Auto Repair even offered to drop me back off at home and pick me up when my car was done.Well, they conveniently found about 5 more things that were wrong with my car than I originally asked them to fix (an already hefty list), and even told me the subframe of my car where the engine sits was going to break soon and that I would need to get it replaced ASAP. That was almost a year ago and to this day my car has not shaken or rocked as if the engine was not securely attached to the vehicle.Additionally, after using my OWN scanner tool before coming in and telling them what one of the problems with my car was (code P0128 came up when I scanned it), they dismissed it and told me they needed to do a coolant flush and did not listen to me even after I told them I had already had the coolant flushed and replaced not too long before I went there.the issue was actually that the thermometer valve was stuck slightly open.All that aside to say, originally I went there to figure out why the car was not turning over. They said they fixed it and when I got the car back it felt like new, I was so excited.Go to find out, the only thing new in fixing this specific problem was the duct tape they either didnt tell me about or put on the ignition switch themselves to fix my car. Thats right. Duct tape. In the ignition switch. After taking my car to Joels Water Street Auto to figure out why it was having the same problem, we found out that in years of wear and tear, my cars ignition switch had gotten worn down to where nothing was really connecting the way it should anymore. There was duct tape inside where (in my understanding) a pin goes inside the ignition switch and around the pin itself.I should have been told that that was what they were going to do with my ignition switch (which they told me they replaced, NOT duct taped). I should not have been charged HUNDREDS of dollars, just for someone to duct tape a couple parts.ATS Complete Auto Repair was not honest with me during my time there and I will not be going back. I wish my experience was similar to the many others that have gone here.Attached are photos of the duct taped ignition switch taken at Joels Water Street Auto, where they were upfront with me throughout the entire process of fixing my car, AND fixed it without breaking the bank.

A repair center that is honest and dedicated to outstanding customer service.I took my 2013 F150 in because I was selling it and needed to get a rattle that seemed to be coming from the engine compartment repaired.I took my vehicle to ATS Service and a technician took it for a test drive and felt it maybe related to the transmission. He explained that he would have to check with John the owner who would be back in an hour.I drove back in an hour and meet with John. He took the vehicle out for a test drive and also heard the rattle noise. The problem in diagnosing the mechanical issue was that it would only occur if the vehicle was moving and under load. (Going up a hill, accelerating on a curve etc.) The rattle would not occur if the vehicle was parked and running. ATS had about1 1/2 hours of labor just in test driving it and I was never charged.John scheduled an appointment for the vehicle. He checked everything on the vehicle and felt it could be the flex plate, fly wheel or torque converter and he needed to drop the transmission. He gave me a repair estimate before proceeding. I gave John the OK to do the work.John called me and said he felt it was the torque converter and it was a $1600 repair. I gave him the OK to proceed with the repair.The repair was completed and I went to pick the vehicle up. I asked John if the noise was gone. He said no. I was a little concerned considering I felt I was on the hook for $1600. John said that he was not charging me for the $1600 repair and explained that is just the way he does things. I was relieved. John explained that he checked into the matter deeper reviewing Ford service bulletins.John felt the issue was related to the vacuum system that operates the brakes and 4x4 system. I gave him the ok for repairs. John called me up, told me that it was the brake system and provided an estimate. I again gave him the OK for the repair. The brake system was repaired and the rattle was gone.I explained to a friend how I was not charged for a $1600 new torque converter. His response was, If you had taken that in to ******** for repairs and they replaced the torque convert you would no doubt be charged and they would say the noise was related to multiple mechanical issues. His opinion was that I would have been charged for a torque converter and also the repair to fix the rattle.ATS Service is honest, dedicated to customer service and will never charge you for a repair you do not need. John is a highly skill mechanic. I highly recommend ATS Service for your vehicle repair and service needs.

If I cant do it in the driveway I bring it to them. Zero complaints, great honest work and prices. They just changed my trans filter and flushed it and it feels like a new car. I have recomended a lot of people too these guys and havent heard one negative thing.

Ive lived here my whole life. Out of all the places Ive been to in Eau Claire, this one has caught my eye and its only 5 minutes from my house! Friendly, respectable, professional, easy-going environment. I expected to pay other shops prices but it was a fraction of the cost and great-quality care! Will be returning👍

I will never come back to ATS again. The staff is fairly friendly...but they like to take advantage of younger teens and think they don’t know anything about cars and try to rip you off...gave me 4 different quotes...started at $1600 and ended at $2600 and nothing even changed...was all the same items they just kept jacking up the price every day for whatever reason. Got the EXACT same work done elsewhere and was $1400 cheaper and the parts were new and not used.

My last two visits included replacing my transmission and replacing ball joints. No job too big or small at ATS. They have taken good care of my vehicles over the years and have provided much needed courtesy rides.

Kurt and John are absolutely amazing! They took my car in and replaced my battery (that was practically dead) with no appointment and provided an extra service I requested with no complaint. They made sure I got the best battery possible and the time spent to research that was extremely appreciated.They spent time searching for the perfect winter tire for me and made sure I got it for a reasonable price. I have since booked an appointment for the tires to be put on (they had to be ordered because my car is difficult to size) and brakes, and once again requested other services that came into mind later and they accommodated me with no problem. They are honest and after coming to ATS I quickly realized that other unscrupulous mechanics have been ripping me off for years (with excessive and over priced shop time). Honestly, I was ready to take my car to Minnesota rather than try another rip off here in Eau Claire. ATS saved my sanity and some extra cash!

ABSOLUTELY GRATEFUL! Curt and his team saved us... we broke down 700 miles from home on our way to Montana, and Curt found out exactly what was wrong with our van quickly and efficiently. After a Midtown Transmission shop told us we would need to spend $2700 and wait over a week, ATS gave us a second opinion and got us fixed up same day for only $700. ATS is very thorough and truly cares about their customers. Best service we could ever ask for. Forever grateful to be able to get back on the road! Thank you Curt and ATS!!

Nothing but good things to say about Curt and the team at ATS! After experiencing some worrying brake issues on our way to a weekend getaway we stopped at ATS to get it looked at. We called ahead to explain what we were experiencing and ATS was ready with the parts we needed by the time we arrived. Curt was incredibly friendly and helpful, putting a rush on the job because he knew we were anxious to get back on the road, providing a shuttle so we could get some lunch while the car was being worked on, even working with parts dealers to warranty parts and save us a lot of money! Car is better than ever and we couldnt be happier!

I called Kurt the Monday after a holiday break with a bit of an emergency for my girlfriend who was traveling from Green Bay to Minneapolis. He was incredibly nice and helped her out quickly, with the utmost respect. After the repair was complete, Kurt said it was on them and he just wanted her to get back to school safe. They had my cars power steering done in more then reasonable time. When I went there to pick it up it was running and warm and it turned like new. When there was no one at the front desk we were quickly met and tended too. They gave me a much better price then other shops I went to while I was desperate to have it done quickly.

Took my truck here to get a quote for some fixes on my truck an they over charged me a lot on parts and labor an said I needed some things fixed when I really didn’t . Quoted me 4000 dollars in labor and parts which is ridiculous! Took it somewhere else and got what needed to be done for just under 2000. Make sure to get a second opinion before settling with this place.

Terrible service took car in converter shutter they say it a motor mount. I want to know how a motor mount is going to make the rpm very. And when I was quoted a piece over the phone was way different from when I picked up the car still did not fix the original problem

Been going here for over 18 months and have had great experiences every time. The staff is honest, friendly and candid. They dont try to pressure you into extra services but do take time to explain what the vehicle needs. Their prices are fair and they stick to their estimates. In addition, they have a very clean and comfortable waiting area or if you cannot wait, they have courteous and efficient shuttles to take you to work. I highly recommend ATS.

Love bringing my car here. They always solve the issue for a reasonable price compared to dealerships and go out of their way to accommodate your transportation needs while they have your car. Been going to these guys since their old location on the east side.

Amazing service. At first they recommended me to take my car elsewhere due to the lack of equipment for muffler service instead of trying to fix it or fixing it themselves and charging me more. Theyve replaced my brakes and rotors and did an amazing job. I was able to get a ride to and from work from them, which is rare in my opinion. Id recommend ATS to anyone.

As a college student life can be pretty stressful but ATS took the stress out of getting my car fixed. I wasnt able to drive my car to their shop so they had a towing service come pick it up. They even had a shuttle to come pick me up to get my car once it was repaired. Super friendly and helpful customer service! I definitely recommend ATS for your auto repair needs.

I traveled to Eau Claire for the weekend from Milwaukee arriving Friday with plans to leave Sunday. During the drive, I noticed my brakes were making a grinding noise. We called ATS on a Friday afternoon and they made arrangements to repair the brakes on Saturday for us. Note: The shop isn’t open on Saturday! We picked the car up Saturday afternoon and had a safe trip home. John Effertz was very professional, explained the issues clearly, and went above and beyond any of my expectations. If I lived in the Eau Claire area, ATS would have 100% of my vehicle repair business.

Amazing. Great Customer Service. Very thorough. Had my transmission go out on a Tuesday and had my car back on Friday. They made a stressfull situation much better. Cant say enough good. Id give way more than 5 stars if I could!

Nate Hanson is a great service manager. I can always trust and rely on these guys. Even coming from the auto industry and as a assistant service manager for Nissan, these guys are one of the best places to go in eau claire area

I wouldnt even give them a star. Sat there for over two hours waiting for them to get our car in when they told us it would go in right after we got there. They helped other customers before us. There were plenty of people standing at the counter and yet the car didnt get in the shop for two hours after we got there. Definitely will not go there again.

Excellent Customer Service, and very friendly. It took some doing to get my heat working but they found the problem and fixed it. They also provided me with ride to work and drop my vehicle off when it was finished.

The service at ATS was subpar. The staff was friendly, but I took my vehicle in to get a diagnosis on 2 different problems that I was having, and they told told me what was wrong. I got these problems fixed by what they told me, and both of the problems continued. They charged me for a diagnosis that was completely incorrect. I then took my vehicle back to them to have another (free) diagnosis and they told me the same thing was wrong, and that I had ordered the wrong part. This was completely false as I ordered the exact part I needed. I am sick of buying car parts that I dont need based on a professional opinion that is completely wrong. I took it to the Ford dealer and they fixed it in an hour. I would NOT recommend ATS

They dont tell you any information on the phone. You walk in with unexpected charges. Tried to get a few things to look at, less then an hour and want you to wait around for an hour to look at a door lock. Will never go here. Pathetic.

Great shop, Nate is always got a smile to greet you and listens to your vehicle concerns. I recommend ATS to my family and friends.

Stranded on 94 east near Eau Claire with a blown clutch little options and even less hope. We were 400 moles into our 1600 mile cross country trip. Called the tow truck with no options for repair. He made a quick call to John the owner and they managed to fit us in. They next day aired parts in and installed a new clutch in what had to be a nascar pit stop like time. They shuttled us to and from our hotel and even offered to drive us around while repairs were being made. I can not thank them enough for making what could have been a very stressful situation into delightful as far as major car repairs go. I highly recommend ATS due to the super high level of customer service and professionalism. They rescued two wayward travellers and showed kindess and compassion while doing it! THANK YOU ATS!

Took us a while to find these guys but they are our go to now for any car issues. They give you straight honest answers and have exceeded our expectations on several occasions.

Great customer service! They are very professional and they know their stuff! I wont be taking my car anywhere else.

I wanted to replace my brakes, and they said they need to do an inspection first, later they put the tires back on and said my brakes are totally fine, without asking if I want to replace or not. At the end, they charged me $46 for nothing.

I had an awful experience. I paid about $1000 in repairs. When I tried to leave the lot, I couldnt because my car kept stalling. When I told them that my car wouldnt start, they told me that they fixed something else and that it would cost more for them to fix the part where my car would start. They were complete jerks.

Going to ats was the worst experience of my life. They have very poor service along with extremely terrible diagnostics. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
