Very clean gym...staff is attentive. Not for your hardcore meathead but it has more than enough machines and equipment for someone looking to stay fit.

I’ve been coming to this gym on/off for 3 years. Hadn’t been my favorite gym, but was close to me and affordable. New manager, Nick, came on during Covid and has done great things for the place. Blake and Julia have also been standout! Extremely clean locker rooms and machines. Broken equipment receives immediate attn. All staff members are friendly and helpful and always willing to chat. I have grown to like it here.

I had some concerns regarding my account this morning and I was a bit frustrated. The Manager I spoke with handled the situation with professionalism and better yet kindness. Nick is definitely an asset to Planet Fitness.

Staff continues to lack customer skills etc I was given a special 5 day pass by their district managerI went to work out and the young man without first asking me my name tells me Im wrong and said ther were no female managers. The other staff person, a female, did a quick glance then turned away offered no assistance so when Thing One took my name he was able to see what I already knew..I have a 5-day pass. The 10-15 mins of aggravation would have been avoided with basic manners and better customer skills. This seems.to be the norm so, I will pass on joining this particular location. Oh! The fair-skinned male became confrontational when I shared with him how the whole thing could have been avoided .

Great gym, clean, friendly staff. The staff is constantly walking around making sure sanitation guidelines are followed. Great workout!

I just resigned up here after a few years away and the new staff are incredibly friendly. my new card wasnt working yet; after trying to buy a bottle of water and it not working an employee named jimmy insisted on buying it for me. happy i came back to this location.

I had no idea how odd of a gym this was until I was talking with coworkers, its in the basement of a mall down escalators that dont work. That aside, the ac doesnt seem to work, but other than that the equipment is maintained, clean, and the staff are friendly. No real black card member rewards or benefits though, so stick with a normal membership if this is your main gym.

By far one of the cleanest PF I have Visited. The Assistant manager Cat was very delightful to deal with while I was in town. I was happy to see them enforcing masks and Social distancing. I look forward to visiting again soon.~Jay

I love planet fitness. affordable, new equipment, tanning beds, and always clean and sanitary. it almost doesn’t even feel like going to the gym. it’s not a chore it’s more like excited to go there and work out the atmosphere makes you wanna come back alone not to mention the staff who are great

I know we can’t expect too much with what we pay for at P.F. But this location is in desperate need of renovation. The machines are so old some of them have straps instead of cables (see pic below). The benches in the free weight area are wobbly. The worst part of this location is the men’s locker room. There are only 60 HALF lockers and they are the “cage” type where people can see in. (Pic below) I came in wearing dress slacks and a dress shirt and could not hang my clothes because of the half locker. The shame is this is unnecessary because there is a long wall that is empty (mirrored) for more full length lockers. PF corporate headquarters needs to examine this location. I pity the folks who call this their main location.

I literally dread going here every time. the girls at the front are very unprofessional and stare ant me and gossip every time I work out. It got so bad the other day that I moved treadmills. I wish I had a different gym closer.

Great low membership prices and fully equipped. Very popular. All ages, weights, ethnicities seen - young, old, thin, overweight. I feel and can be myself when I work out there. Really is a non-judgmental environment. Love it!

Great staff always helpful and professional. The equipment is clean as well as the whole facility and a nice variety of members very good diversity. Its a joy to be a member of planet fitness.

The front desk personnel is rude and threatened me to take a photo or not be allowed in the gym despite it not being in the contract that it was required.(Added after Planet Fitness response: THOUGH IT WAS STATED IT IS “REQUIRED” NONE OF THE STAFF WERE ABLE TO SHOW ME WHERE IN THE CONTRACT IT STATES THAT A PHOTO IS REQUIRED) I even offered to show my license at check in to prove my identity so it would be clear no one else was using my membership and was told “We don’t have time to check a license”.

Great value, equipment is well maintained, and the members seem nice too. Fairly new to the gym, but i like it and still train as hard as i ever did. Would like to have some bosu balls and more small equipment but otherwise its clean and the staff doesnt bother me.

Just cancelled my membership because the big black guy who claimed he is the manager was very very rude ... and also I heard other people who had bad experience with the same guy. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! and its so sad because when I came to close it the lady who dealt with me was so nice...I wish I didnt have to but Im sorry most of the time when I go the worker its the guy who is there and I dont comfortable.

This is the best Gym for the money. I love the no judgement zone and the manager Christine is friendly and on the ball. She always say hello to me by name when I walk in and there were a few times my monthly dues didnt go through and she caught it before I would have had to pay a late fee. All and all a great experience and a great staff too!

Joined today and had an issue with a piece of equipment. Approached the front desk and was given nothing but attitude from some trailer park petite blond with her hair in a ponytail around 11 am....I don’t plan on coming back after i meet my fitness goals...thank god for me my body responds rather quickly to cardioShame on the owner of this place....as I can tell by the other reviewers...that the person i spoke to was this notorious Christina person they allow to manage their place of businessThey obviously don’t value their customersBeing rude to your customers don’t make you a manager

Not my favorite Planet Fitness but it gets the job done. The front staff is always polite. If you’re looking for the basics, this is a good gym for that. The ab workout area is kind small and I always feel cramped trying to find space and there’s never enough mats and all the ones they have are pretty old. My main complaint though is that the shower water reeks of chlorine.

My CC nbr was stolen. Had to cancel card that was on file. Should have been simple to resolve but snowballed into a fiasco that lead to me trying to cancel my membership and mgr tried to hit me with nearly $100 in fines and fees. I was only a member for less than 2 months. A regional mgr resolved everything at no charge,(nice guy) but I was done with Planet Fitness, after that. I workout at home now.😁🏋️

I signed up for a gym membership here a couple months ago at the Eatontown mall location. Everything was going well until I see an extra amount deducted from my card. I call the location to simply ask about the charge and Tiffany, the general manager explains it’s the annual membership fee, which is the first time I’m being informed of this. I Informed her that never before had this been explained this to me. Not at sign up or any other time. With a highly unprofessional tone and total attitude, she, in all seriousness tells me that as she sees her assistant manager is who signed me up, she’s positive that he absolutely explained this fee to me. She wasn’t present, she asked no questions. She just assumed. I informed her that I would’ve recalled this info and wouldn’t be calling to explain my surprise at the charge, had the man who signed me up was thorough and not fast talking. wouldn’t be calling you about an annual fee. I do not appreciate being talking to in a sarcastic manner with an entire lack of customer service skills or the desire to want to resolve my confusion. Because I challenged her, she threatened me as to “watch out or I’ll just cancel your membership” and proceeds to hang up on me. I called her back in order to not assume the worst, as she did to me, and again, she acted like me wanting to resolve the issue was a hassle. I thought I was done with just this location, but if this establishment has people such as Tiffany leading the rest, I think it best to find a new gym altogether.

I don’t know what’s with people complaining about rude staff. I haven’t communicated with the staff after the sign up process. And I don’t know why you guys have to have nice interactions with the staff everyday. Decent equipments for the price. I go in, workout and I’m on my way out. Works.

Cleaner than any gym I have ever been to. Staff is wonderful! I really like the manager, I think her name is Christine, always welcomes you and says have a great workout. Then when you leave she says good bye and gives you encouragement to keep working and tells you how good you look and says keep coming back. Sometimes she even tells you that you look like you lost weight, which is really nice to hear!

Bigger than it looks from the outside. Has the typical equipment. Peak times are crowded as usual as well. Cant beat those prices though! And the staff isnt bad at all from what Ive seen. They have 1-2 circuit training areas where you can try jumping from machine to machine. They also have a few of those mall massage chairs. Not bad.

Ive been a PF Black Card member for about a decade. Through my work and pleasure travels Ive been to well over a dozen PF locations across the US.I hate to say it, but compared to all the locations Ive been to, the Monmouth Mall location is probably the dirtiest.The water fountains are always in need of cleaning. And, on top of it, the water is lukewarm today!! The walls are scuffed and just about every machine is need of polishing and dusting.Plus, since the location is in the basement of a mall that is in desperate need of an overhaul, the location always smells musty. And, the lockers are getting rusty due to the moisture from being in a basement.This is the closest location to my home. But Im thinking the trekk to Wall or Middletown may be worth it.But, on the positive side, the staff is always friendly.

There hours are honestly ass Monday to Thursday they are open 24-7 Friday they close at 9? And Saturday and Sunday they close early thats when people workout and have the most freetime their hours need to change asap - also bathrooms are fairly dirty including the showers which I avoid because of them being dirty and smelling. Otherwise its a good gym to workout at thats the only positive benefits and the inexpensive membership cost.

The gym is great however the showers are pretty disgusting. I go to the gym in the morning before work so I could imagine only a few people have been in the shower before me, if that. The workers who stand at the desk and do absolutely nothing during their shifts should consider checking on the showers/locker room situation from time to time. The showers smell and the shower curtains seem like they have possibly never been changed. I used to go to the Brick Planet Fitness and their showers were extremely clean and you didnt mind using them. This one constantly has loose hairs against the shower walls, the floors are soaking wet, and the floors of the shower are actually brown and spotted from dirt.

Its what you expect out of a PF, this is a clean Location, nice staff, same regulars come in and keep the place clean.

Ive been in a lot of gyms and never have I felt so comfortable, relaxed and well treated as this on. The staff is exceptional and the trainer was incredibly helpful in designing a program around a couple limitations. The front desk staff is wonderful and always a pleasure to see at 6:00 am. I HIGHLY recommend this gym. Oh - and their contracts are absolutely NOTHING like some of the others out there. If youre not a lunk and looking for a great gym - this is it! Youll love it, I promise!

Good gym located in the basement of Monmouth Mall near entrance to movie theater. Trainers are available if needed. Current pricing is $10/mth with a $1 sign up fee.

If you dont have money in your bank account when the bill comes you get hit with a $10 fee and the price of your membership every month until you pay the balance and cancel. That happens if you come to the gym or not. Also the big lady behind the desk is very rude.

Clean and equipment well maintained. Plenty of equipment for cardio. Limited free weights but gets the job done. Have frequent promotions.

The manger, Christina, may be the rudest, most unprofessional manager that I have encountered anywhere. I asked for a copy of the Black Card membership terms and conditions to make sure that the information that was told to my daughter was what she agreed to. Once Christina learned that I wasnt someone that wanted to join the club, her tone and the entire encounter got ugly. After speaking with the Regional Manager, Chris, it is easy to see where the attitudes come from. PF Corporate told me to speak to the franchise owner, but no one is willing to provide his/her contact information. I paid them their cancellation fees and am happy to walk away, but dont expect much in the way of service or professionalism from this bunch.

Simple, clean and well staffed, no frills gym. They just upgraded their equipment which is nice. Its everything you need for a simple workout. WiFi is a touch iffy but after my last gym, which was dirty, crowded with a contract that sacked money out of me even after I quit, Ill take this, thanks.

Tom, the manager, is extremely rude and argued with me saying I need to contact the bank to reverse the charge that Planet Fitness charged my card. He told me its in the contract that Planet Fitness can charge my credit card automatically a $10 declined fee per the contract; however the original charge never went through. Somehow the monthly charge plus the $10 went through fine though. He told me it was my fault and refused to refund me the $10 declined fee, even though it was never declined. He told me that I had no idea what I was talking about and that I could dispute the $10 declined fee with my bank - I TOLD HIM MY BANK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHARGE AND HE KEPT SAYING ITS MY OWN FAULT. Amazing the quality of staff that is management in this place. I have termed my agreement and will tell everyone how this place will find ways to charge extra per the contract.

Its nothing special but its not a bad gym. Only problem is with the overall alleged 24hrs policy. Its actually more like 21 hours because they shut down for four hours between 9 and 12. I like to workout at night around those inbetween hours. Machines seem clean, friendly staff but havent interacted with them to say how good they really are. Lockers see clean showers seem clean bathrooms too. A good place to get a workout in.

There are more upgraded planets but this one will get the job done! Focus on your results and motivate others:) simple! I do recommend a black card get to check out other locations if your on the go. Get vip service any where!

I like this gym. Whats with all the hate? What do you expect from a gym? All you peeps just need to put your headphones on, exercise, leave, and an occasional hi and goodbye or whatever from staff.THE only issue I have is the wifi. Needs to be stronger . It does not work on some of the busiest times.

They continue to charge you credit card after you cancel the membership even with written proof that you canceled the membership. Make sure you get something in written, they will claim you never canceled two of the male staff members that work the front desk are rude as hell. If I every joined planet fitness again (I highly doubt I would) it will definitely not be the one at Monmouth Mall! Showers are also dirty and the dont clean them every day.

Been going here for 3 years and its been getting steadily worse the last few months. At least 5 machines have been broken for over a year which Ive brought up multiple times. Massage chairs have become needlessly complicated and often broken, and now even signing a guest in with the black card is a whole process now.Ill be switching memberships to Retro

Terrible gym, not suitable for a serious workout. They have cheap equipment and lack important machines and No Free Weight Bench Press! Rude staff. the blonde girl in front has no communication skills. It might be cheap but the results are parallel., go to golds or ultimate fitness on rt 35 for a less expensive alternative.

The equipment in this gym is old and unfortunately some of it is even broken or rusted. After visiting another franchise location that had brand new equipment: everything from TRX bands to bosu balls to ergometers. I cant find myself paying to call this place my home club. Its honestly pretty dirty and the staff seems as if they could care less. Also dont even try benching there because legit every single bench in the place is unstable and shakes when you sit on it.

This gym has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. By all means, DO NOT join this gym.The current manager is TERRIBLE. She lacks all sense of professional pride and is extremely rude with her tone. She replies with one word answers and shows no respect for the customers. She is the blonde one mentioned harshly in a previous comment. This is completely accurate of her persona.The assistant manager, was even worse. She called herself the assistant manager because there was no manager on duty and because she has been employed with the company for two years. That alone, was the most unprofessional thing I have ever heard. She called my husband a fool and had the audacity to refuse us communication with the manager and regional manager during an issue. I have never felt more victimized and bullied in a gym. This resulted in several phone calls and revisiting the gym after canceling our membership to speak with someone with more authority of the company. I felt like i was going around in circles. Believe me, you do NOT want this headache.Furthermore, my husband and I had items stolen out of a LOCKED locker Working in the health and fitness field myself, I know things happen. However, they told us that they were not responsible even for locked items. That evening we went to the police and of course we had to cancel our cards and request new ones. Less then a week later, we were hit with late fees from this company because of the timing of our card cancellation. Even though our wallet was stolen out of their locked locker in their facility and the incident had occurred less then a week before, they were unwilling to drop the late fees. To not sympathize with our situation after being fully aware of it was outrageous. We only just received our new cards in the mail the day before. Money hungry company with cheap equipment. Its worth the extra $5-$10 a month for a better gym.That was our breaking point. Never again will we be Planet Fitness members and we will discourage everyone from ever joining this gym.

So Ive been a member at another Planet Fitness location for awhile now. The Eatontown location is closer to my home but the bad reviews made me go to another location because of them. So I go to the Eatontown location to enroll dor the PF Black Card because it will allow me to go more during the week. I entered the location with my 3 children looking to level up my membership. As soon as Im getting my children seated in the lobby area, the So Called Manager Christine or Christina whatever her name is told me that they couldnt be im the lobby. It was all about her approach, practically yelled at me with a disrespectful and condescending tone. I was literally the happiest customer ever and looking to spend more money and she yelled at me like l was one of her children . Sad that this person is still employed by PF. Countless $ lost because of her. Dont waste your time here go somewhere else.

I LIKE THE GYM. I JUST DONT LIKE HOW THEY ALLOW A PERSON TO SHOWER AND DRY OFF PUT HER MAKEUP AND ECT. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BATHROOM BUTT ASS NAKED I HAVE COMPLAINED AND THEY DO NOTHING NOBODY WANTS TO USE THE COUNTER AFTER A PERSONS BODY PARTS HAS BEEN ALL OVER IT JUST NASTY! NASTY! Thats why they have dressing rooms HUH!!! PISSES ME OFF HOW nothing is done about this issue! AFTER SO MANY COMPLAINTS IN LOOKING FOR ANOTHER GYM HUH!!!!!

I have been an active member since 2014 . I just CANCELLED my membership because of a new employee they have . Thanks Nick for making me cancel my membership.

I was at this fitness on the 22nd of July 2016. Its was so clean and I met with Anthony he was awesome respectful and professional .

Good gym, clean. My only problem with it is that they dont quite have a full array of machines.

Good gym but the WiFi rarely works and for a gym thats kind of annoying because I like to listen to music streaming online but cant. Alas. So I took one star away.
