This is by far the worst Post Office I have ever experienced. It’s to the point that I get anxiety, whenever I order a package and the email says that it’s being delivered by USPS. I’d much rather have my packages delivered by UPS because they’re more reliable. I received an email yesterday stating that my package was delivered to my mailbox, but of course when I get home from work and check it. It’s not there. I’ve been trying to call the PO but I can never seem to get an answer.

I have repeatedly complained about my mailbox not being closed. I’ve had to return checks that were drenched in rain storms, packages stolen. Yesterday they placed a package on the top of my box. It’s ridiculous

The supervisor Gabe was so helpful, most of the comments in this review are false and just full of disgruntled people who have nothing but time. Keep up the good work.

This post office truly needs a Reno ation & update. You see all this factory warehouse in the back behind the workers!! They need more staff!!!- I think if they are able to do so i It would make the experien e better for all!

Worse delivery lady ever. She came into yard didnt even get out the car to deliver package yet was writing a note to say she came and nobody was home. This is the 10th or more time shes done this. This post office needs to hire people who actually work and not sit in the car and lie. People were home, she just didn’t get her sloppy lazy self put the car to even see if anyone was home. What a liar! Why lie like that? Get a new job if you dont want to do your job. Thats pure laziness.

Packages and mail keep getting put in the wrong boxes !! What is going on ?!?!?! This has been happening before the pandemic ! No excuses! Get people who have more than a GED or high school diploma. People that pay attention to small detail and have a brain.

The supervisor Gabe decided to send my package back after he told us to come to pick it up. He was extremely unprofessional even hung up the phone on me. Then to be spiteful sent my package back after we got off the phone. I went to the post office he States the internet is down we lost your package Giving no resolution. Its clear why the govt wants to do away with this agency the level of customer care and professionalism is non existing at this location. They dont even deserve 1 star. Playing with peoples mail is a crime

1600$ in lost packages in 7 months. No accountability. Reports topostal police (they get to police themselves) go with zero response. This is either an large scale inside job or TOTAL incompetence.

They lie about attempting a delivery. I was here waiting for the package and they claim there was a slip left but there Is nothing. This is the 4th time in 6 months. If the package is bigger than your mailbox they will not get out and deliver it...This is what happens when people from NY and NJ move here and start running things. It was never like this absolutely terrible service. I actually have to ask senders to ship it UPS even if it cost extra!!

Horrible. These people need a new staff. Absolutely rude & they sent out a package I asked them to hold. Lied about it, then refused to answer my calls. I spoke to a MAN on the phone but then a lady told me she is the only one who answers the phone so she doesn’t remember speaking to me..... obviously because I did not speak to you!!!

Fast and Friendly every single time I go. The problem is the drivers that say that they attempted to deliver the packages. Theres been times that Im actually home and Ive never seen them make an effort to drop off the packages. If they actually did their job it would make things easier for us and the employees at the actual post office.

Today is November 16th, 2020. I have USPS Informed delivery. To those who do not know about this service you get to view an actual photo of mail you are to receive on any given day when you sign up for this free service. Today I was to receive six pieces of mail. Two were bills, two were checks to me and two were just general mail. I received zero, none of these six pieces of mail. This is the second time in three weeks that this has happened to me. On Informed Delivery I claimed them as not received. I am not holding my breath that anyone will check into it.UPDATE: A nice neighbor just walked down the block to give me all of my missing mail which was delivered to his house.

Id give negative stars if I could. They are incompetent. They NEVER answer your phone calls. They are so lazy it is baffling. One of my packages says it has been delivered but I have never gotten it. Their attempt to deliver is always sketchy since most of the time there is absolutely no reason the package should have just been attempted (they dont even try).

Lost my package, the tracking said I requested the package to be held at the carrier facility, which I did not. When I went to pick up the package they said they could not find it. The reason, my regular carrier is out and someone is covering. Unacceptable. That once they were able to locate the package, it will be delivered. No time estimate on when that will be. Prior I tried to call the location and had to call literally 17 times and never had anyone pick up. When I finally drove down to try to pick up the package there was only one other customer in the lobby. With several people working. They are actively avoiding picking up the phone.

I truly HATE dealing with this Post Office location. Its a miracle if you ever get a package or friendly service. Its been happening for years, therefore do not count on change. Moving to 18301 or 18302, look forward to receiving your mail via alternative means. Perhaps owl or snail, better yet a mule.

I am so tired of not getting my packages that I have proof of the delivery to my mailbox and the package is never in my mailbox.! I want to know what can I do about this.!

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.Its sad to see a day when the Post Offices motto no longer seems to apply. During the snow storm in Feb 2021 I received packages from FedEx, UPS, and Amazon. I even got Uber Eats and Door Dash deliveries, but not the US Post Office.

Carrier for my route is terrible. I have USPS informed delivery that lets me know what mail is arriving and when I get home to retrieve my mail there is nothing in the mailbox. Called post Office and was informed that they still have it at the post office and will be delivered. Till this day Im still waiting for my mail. Also sometimes when Im expecting a package I dont receive the package and when I track it, it says attempted delivery with some lame excuse. If carriers hate their jobs so much they should go work at Walmart. Fed up with this bull!

I signed up for informed mail delivery after I didnt receive a package. Months later Im missing multiple packages. My regular mail gets put in others boxes and iam always getting others. I live on a dead end block and known everyone on the block. My neighbors have made several complaints and I will be making a formal complaint on Monday at the post office myself. No problems out of ups or FedEx. Iam installing wireless camer so I can see what package are and are not being delivered along with a mailbox cam that point at their license plate so Ill be able to make a police report.

NOTE! This post office will NOT deliver packages. The notices that read delivery attempted are false - there are no attempts made. This has happened to me on more than one occasion and I will no longer have packages delivered via this post office. I was home during their last attempt! Even with a note to leave at back door, these drivers dont even try to deliver. I really wish Amazon didnt use them! Now Im on hold for a half an hour trying to reschedule a delivery! FRUSTRATING!!!

They say they attempted delivery since my mailbox was full but the package that was 2 by 4 which wouldnt have fit in the first place. They didnt want to walk up to my porch. There was also a time where they left a package on the side of my house in the rain while I was at work when the box specifically said not to let it get wet with a picture of an umbrella on it and everything. They couldnt walk an extra 10 feet to put my package on my sheltered porch. Its common sense at this point. I wouldve given it zero stars if i could.

I really like the post office as well as the mail deliverers. They dont deliver a lot of packages because a lot of the carriers are on foot. How wonderful for conservation. I go here to ship out packages several times a week and the staff is very helpful and friendly. sometimes theres a line but it always moves quickly and I dont have to wait long.

They’re always saying they delivered a package and they don’t even try I had picked up a package one day early in the morning and in the evening they had says they attempted to deliver it which was a lie because I had already picked it up then I had a package that said it Arrived five days ago and they said it’s still getting processed whatever that means all I know is they better not Send it back because I didn’t pick it up although I attempted to pick it up three times at this post office They need more people working there or better management or something This is a ongoing thing with them

Friendly staff. Theyve worked hard at reducing wait time and ongoing lines. Now I enjoy going to the post office rather than dread it.

This is hands down the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. Lies about delivery attempts, laziness and bad employee attitudes are common place for the East Stroudsburg post office. They refuse to deliver deliveries that they accept from Amazon saying the boxes are too big to deliver and we have to come pick them up. Why would they accept the delivery in the first place if they are unable to deliver it? Why in the hell would we order something online to have to drive and go pick it up? That really takes out any convenience of ordering online, might as well gone to a store to buy these things ourselves. Year after year we battle with them; really looking forward to when the USPS goes bankrupt and we finally come to our senses and privatize mail delivery, no mystery why that happpened when that day ultimately comes. No need to worry about retaliation and them not delivering anything in the future to our address, this post office couldnt be any more terrible than they are and couldnt possibly deliver the mail any worse then they do now.

Mail person delivers my mail and packages and leaves them 1/2 way down the driveway - 1/2 on the grass and 1-2 on the driveway itself. Last time they broke my lights. I have been calling the post office for 3 weeks to get a hold of the post master and the phone is off the hook. Unbelievable. Times are though for everyone not just the postal service people. If anyone knows the post master info pls send it to me. I have file an complained they the USPS site. Also many times the package said attempted deliver and could not bc it did not fit in the mailbox. Off course not the package is bigger. So why not leave it at the door? Instead they take it back and return it to sender. Arrrr

We live in a development and they can never get our mail in the right box. Also wont even attempted to get our packages in the big boxs. Then you have to drive down from Marshall creek to pick it up.

2 cars in the driveway, 3 adults in the house all awake since 6am, 1 working doorbell and 3 noisy dogs more than happy to alert when someone arrives to the door ... no “attempt” was made to “deliver a package” today as your notice in my mailbox states. If your legs don’t work.. maybe look into a more sedentary occupation?

This is nostalgic place . Almost like going back in time to 60s era of post office . Very popular with local folks so except long lines .On weekends consider your self lucky if you step inside the vestibule. Most people will get there packages . So if you like history this is the place to visit.

This is the worst post office EVER! I rarely get my packages although it states it has been delivered, i get other peoples mail and packages and at this point I am tired of trying to track down the right owners. Is it that hard to deliver the packages to the right mailbox, come on now its getting really frustrating knowing the package you ordered probably wont get delivered because the post office is full of incompetent people. Get it together!!! Cant shop at the stores and now cannot even order online because whats the point, it wont get delivered anyways.🤬🤬Edit to add: today is May 20, 2020 and once again it states my packages have been delivered but there is nothing in my mailbox, unbelievable!!!! TWO DAYS IN A ROW and my packages are missing even though it States they have been delivered. What is going on? I cant even get an answer at the post office since the phone line is always busy. Understand due to covid-19 post office may be overwhelmed, but thats not an excuse to keep misplacing peoples mail and packages.

Worst overall PO I have ever been to & this place exemplifies the reason for a national cry to close down and privitize the P. O. You know its pretty inept when the P.O. doesnt have stamps & literally states they dont know when they will get stamps. Or it sounds like a loud gossip session has priority over service.

I never get my packages. Just moved into the area and needed some essential items in my new home, packages never arrived. I had to go to the post office each time.

I’ve had numerous issues with packages. They advise that they tried, they left a paper, receptacle full-all NOT TRUE. I spoke with the post master and that proved useless. I asked for his boss so I can file a complaint and was given an address . I will follow up with this and have other areas where I’m being told I can file a complaint. I’ve looked up their reviews and the packaging issues go back 3 years. There is absolutely no reason for this poor service. Thus is clearly a management issue and staff that is not being corrected so the office continues to run poorly.

They failed to deliver my certified mail . The address was correct. Apparently their employee was late and returned my mail and they never sent it out again.

I lost my package sending to a friend in this neighborhood. My local friend told me that they never receive delivery from this USPS, and thus is unable to buy Amazon. The worst service on this earth. Im home 7 days a week. I’m expecting a package to be delivered and it says delivery attempted when In fact you didn’t. Notice left but none to be found. It’s not so difficult to drive up 30 seconds to drop off a package that I have already ordered 2 times And I still don’t have my package delivered. If you can’t do your job then close down the post office since you can’t provide the services that you’re getting paid for.

Absolutely the worst post office branch I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They blatantly lie, are mismanaged and lazy. They will lie and tell you they attempted delivery and not even bother to load your package on the truck. Then when you call you get a rude person who offers no help at all and then gives you an attitude. Im still waiting on packages that were supposed to be delivered over a week ago. Terrible I constantly get other people’s mail and packages in my mailbox. Forget getting your prime delivery they’re quick with parcel too large for parcel locker. Annoying and inconvenient. Unsatisfied to say the least. I get notifications that my packages were delivered and they are not. There automatically send to the post office and have to pick them up. I have No time to go picking up packages from the post office every single time I order something and I order things almost all the time. Anytime I get something delivered through them I already know I will not be getting my stuff and have to go running to the post office. The place needs new management and more responsible employees.

Another false attempt to deliver, tracking says they were here, it’s not true, I was home all day. No call tag because they weren’t physically here. I guess you can’t expect a Friday delivery they must’ve taken the day off.

I wish 0 stars were an option. The entire postal system is terrible. We have those stupid parcel lockers in our community and my packages are NEVER there, I always have to get in the car and drive 30 min to get to them. Because it makes so much more sense to bring all of the packages back to the post office so the staff there can lose them and deal with lines going out the door all day, every day. We often see mail on the ground which suggests the delivery person either throws them there or puts mail in the wrong boxes and people are leaving it on top. Once I had to get a birth certificate and it was delivered to the wrong mailbox! Thank goodness for honest neighbors. Someone backed into the mailboxes and they left it like that for over a month! They couldnt even bother putting up a sign in the area that explained what was happening and we had to find answers on our own. I hope they fire management and replace them with decent people. I hate, hate hate dealing with this place and the system in this area, in general. Way to go US Government! Nailed it on this one!

Just move to the area. I was nervous about visiting the post office because of all the bad reviews. I’ve been there about 3 times, different clerks each time. The we’re all very helpful. Great customer service.

Moved to the area about 3 years ago. Have always had a pleasant experience with all the people at this branch. On only 1 occasion, Lew got a little too chatty with a customer while there was a long line, but other than that, theyve always been efficient and professional.

They said I needed to sign for a package and there was no one there to sign for it...but I sent the package and no signature is required...The carrier has the package with her but refuses to deliver it to our home and marked it attempted delivery when that never happened. Now Im SCREAMED AT by Mike who tells me that I have to come there if I want any of my stuff that never needed to be signed for and that they never attempted to deliver in the first place.

Could be the worst run post office I’ve ever witnessed. Not many are run effectively though. Hire more people- lines and waits are more awful at this location than others.

I dont know if the drivers are just lazy or what but they NEVER DELIVER YOUR PACKAGES!! EVER!!! They just leave a slip saying weve been to the house when they dont. I work in the afternoons so Im usually always here in the mornings and they always say we were just there (Sometimes Im outside and I swear I never even see a truck) or they leave one in your mailbox and say oh the parcel locker was full when it wasnt. Theyre the most lazy individuals I have ever had to work with. I paid for my packages to be delivered so it would be nice if someone would actually deliver them so that I dont have to go down to the Post Office all of the time.

Monday the truck drove around the cukf de sac and never stopped at a single house.Tuesday I put my flag up and my mail was the only house delivered to. I also got slip that my package was undeliverable. No signature is required and I was home all day.Wednesday my neighbor put her flag up and only delivered to them.The post office is not answering their phone 3 days now. I tried sending email and it was returned. I tried to place complaint to main number and there was a 40 minute wait.

Try doing your job. Deliver a package isnt that hard. I requested redelivery twice still no package.

Ive ordered a ton from places like Amazon and the post office is amazing about delivering my packages quickly. Even will cover a package in plastic if its raining. Ive never had a problem.

I don’t typically deal with this office anymore as I moved out of area, but I had a package sent to my parents this week since I would be in town. The tracking said return to sender, so I went to the post office to figure out why and hopefully get it, as it’s part of a gift for my grandmother. After 20+ minutes it was discovered that the sender messed up the address (obviously not usps’s fault), but the attitude I got from the staff at the office was absolutely unacceptable. As soon as I got to the counter the man I dealt with, Perry, cut me off and got nasty with me about my address. It continued from there, and included the other staff, after all other customers had left, laughing about how they don’t answer the phones (which is also why I had to go to the physical site, because the phone continued to ring). The workers at this office are unprofessional and trashy at best. 1 Star is too generous for this hole.

Terrible customer service and very unhelpful, Mike was very rude over the phone, they lost my package that was being shipped within pa, and it took them a week to find it. I called and was hung up on, then the line was busy for hours after.

Had issue with them not delivering package or mail for 3 days. Whats the point in having 4 wheel drive and cant deliver light package. They have delivered to the porch but they cant do that. Need a new driver or hire me to deliver since I go out of my way to make sure people are happy to get things on time . Very disapointed. Of course its 3/7 and I was home all day and was not delivered again.left a pink slip.

They cant get anything right at this post office, my mail is always going to other places and they never leave notices when I have a package. They take there sweet time when you are waiting in line. Then they say where is your slip, I say if you left one I would give it to you but since they didnt can I have my package before you send it back.

Worst post office in the world. My carrier doesn’t even attempt to deliver my packages. Then you go there, and that place is the 3rd level of purgatory. I was deployed and had better mail service. I stood in line only to listen to two employees have a conversation about his plans for Christmas eve “he better not be working”. This place is a symbol of everything wrong with humanity. Dont help the line you know, its not like you work there.

The postal delivery person is always Drunk I went to talk to him and he smelled like a Bottle of booze! I am thinking that everyone in East Stroudsburg is Stupid or a Drunk ! Nobody in this State has the balls to stand up for themselves! I lived here a year and that is too long for me I am not of low class that this state is I am out of here back to the Smart Stat of NJ !

The large distribution post office in area. Not bad service but this is a post office so smiles are hard to come by. But Ive not lost a package that they had for me though some of the rules are silly, like: package that requires a signature has to be loaded on the truck even if it cannot be delivered since I get all my mail at a single location in the community instead of at the house.

I got a text, at 7pm saying they tried and failed a delivery at 9pm. Which of course makes no sense at all. So they didnt even bother trying to deliver but they still claimed they tried.

This is the worse experience I have ever had at this office!!! I received a slip in my box and signed it, and put back in box to leave on porch. Well, that didnt happen because the person took the same slip and wrote final notice will return on 11/30 and the todays date was 11/20. I went online and put in a redelivery date and it wasnt redelivered. Today 11/29 I went online again to request a redelivery date and it said item has been returned. I called and they said its nothing we can do but take a complaint. Then we got a text stating another attempt for another package to be delivered, and slip left in box. No slip. This is so crazy or their just being lazy.

Sorry no place for 0 stars. Expecting a package today that needs a signature and received an email from my supplier that the package was not able to be delivered today. Went to the mail box and sure enough theres that stupid orange piece of paper. 3 cars in the driveway and everyone home all day. Tomorrow nope in and out all day, so likely it will get missed. It is no wonder that usps is struggling I know if I was a shipper I wouldnt use them. This is not the first time we have had issues with this post office. It was raining a little so I guess that makes it ok.

I just moved here 2 weeks ago and there I already problems. I’ve tried calling 23 times and no one answers DURING business hours. I was expecting a package and got a message on tracking that said delivery attempt failed due to mailbox being full. There wasn’t the first piece of paper or mail in my box.

This is the WORST post office ever. Staff and supervisor needs to be fired and be replaced with professional people who doesn’t yell at their customer. I Filled out a change of address twice in the last month, and still nothing... the staff wouldn’t even let me explain what i needed to explain, he basically just kicked me out of the way so he can get a new customer, the supervisor wouldn’t let me talk either and was raising his voice at me, he was talking to me like i was a dumb person who doesn’t understand english. Anyway this place just neeed new employees in general because the ones they have, are lazy, rude, unproductive and seriously in need of a good customer care class!!!!!! They don’t even deserve the one star i gave them!

They have lied on multiple occasions about attempting to deliver packages. Then they take the phone off the hook so they dont have to answer for their unprofessional practices. How every postal worker in that building hasnt been fired is beyond me. I want to move just so I dont have to deal with them.

I have ordered so many things and they don’t even attempt to deliver it to my door and just say that they tried. At least FedEx delivers to my door but not these guys

They say that the lady is to lazy to put the packages in the lockers mean time the post office is 30 minutes away and half to go pick up a extremely small package absolutely ridiculous

I wish I can give them something lower than a zero.. I understand that the work can be stressful or if youre having a bad day, but everyone here seems like theyre having a bad day x infinity.. Like if you hate your job that much quit.. I hate, detest having to step into that post office, the employees are all so rude(except for the tall older man, I believe his name is Lew) and lack any customer service skills. Not to mention the new delivery person has delivered my packages and mail to other people and vice versa.. Honestly save yourself the trouble and, if its possible, switch to a different post office.

This Post Office SUCKS. They drivers are LAZY. claim attempted delivery but dont even try. Sometimes they claim delivery and it doesnt even leave the building. I HATE when Amazon uses them. I NEVER get my stuff as scheduled.

Driver frequently fails to deliver packages and updates delivery status with bogus information, such as: no one home and package held at post office at customer request. Troubling when I can watch them drive down the street without attempting delivery and no such request has been made. No pride in workmanship at this post office! Shame on them.

I moved to east Stroudsburg in September, I filed the change of address docs, and upon moving I was receiving mail for 4 other people in my box who no longer live at the address. In red ink I wrote no longer at this address and return to sender in the envelope, Gabe the mail man refused to remove the items from my box. I gathered the pile, took it to the post office spoke with Mike the supervisor. Mike he me full out a card with the names of who should be receiving mail, And the next week all the mail I gave to Mike was returned to my box. I returned to the po spoke with Mike again gave him the mail that was delivered, and for the next to weeks I received NO mail, after realizing my packages were being returned to sender I contacted a Mike again who said he spoke with gabe the carrier and that there was some sort of miscommunication, despite that convoluted, the following week i am receiving the mail of those ho do not reside at my residence and my mail is still being returned as undeliverable. This has caused me to receive utility and credit card bills late, as well as my Christmas gifts to be returned. I tried to contact Mike again today, he very hostility informed me it is what it is and Incould contact anyone Infelt I need to, and he hung up on me. MIKE IS RUDE, SO IS Gabe the carrier. This situation is affecting me financially, as well as personally, and those who should be rectifying it are abusing their power, treating me as though I am the problem. Mike point blank told me it was my problem. MIKE IS UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, AND HS NO CONSIDERATION, NEITHER DOES Gabe the carrier seeing how he insists on returning my mail and delivering old residents mail.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Completely unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing. Very rude and not helpful, no one returns a phone call or is willing to assist in any way. The post master is useless as well, I have never encounter such unprofessionalism.

WANT YOUR PACKAGES TO BE STOLEN? HAVE THIS POST OFFICE DELIVER YOUR STUFF. THEY ALWAYS SAY IT WAS DELIVERED AND PACKAGES ARE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! MANAGEMENT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. DISGUSTING MOST LOW CLASS GROUP OF PEOPLE IVE EVER COME ACROSS!

Thankyou so much to the dedicated and kind hearted USPS workers at the East Stroudsburg location for going above and beyond to keep the mail flowing through these difficult times. Your hard work a sacrifices do not go unnoticed. From what I understand they are dealing with christmas like ordering during covid 19. With limited staff and increased risks they are doing an incredible job. My sons first birthday is June 5th and they made sure I recieved his present. I am a registered nurse and my husband is an essential worker. We are both working 12 hour shifts opposite of one another and when we are home we are watching our 1 and 3 year old making it difficult to get to the post office during hours of operation. The manager over at the office personally made sure they were able to accomidate my situation and delivered a package to me thankyouuuuu!

The worst post office I have ever been to. Lost several of my packages.Staff is extremely slow and unprofessional. Long lines.It seems to me that people who work there mutually agreed to under-work hours they are paid for. I believe there are many responsible people who would love to take their place and perform with great efficiency.
