Owner is extremely rude as people have indicated here. It was difficult to reach them to reserve, she didnt call back for days and then her voice mail was unintelligible. From the moment we arrived Pat was nasty and unwelcoming and it got to the point where she was YELLING at me and my 9 yr old daughter in front of the trail guide (Jessie) and the other riders. They also never offered for me to ride in front or behind my daughter even though they knew it was her FIRST time on a horse. I didnt even realize it until the horses got into their lineup to start the trail and the owner was yelling at us. It seems really odd to me that this was never mentioned or discussed, my daughter was scared to be 3 horses away from me and 2 horses away from the guide. The ride itself was great, the trail leader Jessie was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, kind and really handled the conflict situation with the owner well. My daughter and I had a great time DESPITE the nasty owner. And she was nasty to others as well not just us.If I can find another place to go nearby, I will choose to NEVER go back here againThe owner even said she didnt care about whether we thought she was rude, or wrote a bad review, or what other customers had written. I guess shell care when her business suffers from enough negative reviews!
One woman working there was extremely rude over the phone and when we were at the stables. A little boy was walking to his pony ride and the woman said if he didn’t get there right now, he was wouldn’t be able to do it. Then, his mother was getting reprimanded when she was trying to take photos of her son. It wasn’t a very welcoming atmosphere when she was around. If you can get past that, then you do go on a nice trail that parallels the golf course. I just couldn’t enjoy the ride with the tone that was set by the worker.
I wasted an entire day preparing for horseback riding just for it to be cancelled. I called at 12pm to add another person and they said it was okay. I arrived at 1:45pm and was told rudely they are done for the day with no reason at first. So I asked why and they told me if the temperature exceeds 91 they can’t take the horses but why couldn’t they just tell me that if there is a daily weather forecast or when I called about an hour ago. Disrespectful... don’t waste your time here.
Absolutely terrible . Worst place by far, costumer service was very misleading . I’ve called at 10am in the morning to make reservations, for 6pm explaining we are coming from 3 hours away. We arrived and they said they cancelled our reservation due to weather. Skies are clear and absolutely no reason to cancel. We got no call to tell us they aren’t going go ahead with our reservation. They deserve absolutely no customers, very awful people also very disrespectful. They’re plain garbage.
Overall, this was a fun experience to have with my family. I do not understand why people call them rude because they were very patient with my children. My only problem was the length of the trail, but besides that it was great.
The horses were nice and looked well kept. The people were nice as well and the guide was great however I think it was overpriced for the short tour. The trail went in loops with really nothing to see and seemed very rushed. Didn’t even get a chance to take some photos at least of the kids for memories and keepsake.
Completely terrible called and made a reservation for 6 drove 4 hrs to come here for them to tell no more rides
Just went today with 5 other people and loved it! they were very helpful and we had 2 guides with us. horses extremely cute and well trained. trail was great, peaceful but a little short.
First time horse riding. It was good. The horses were really good
Took my son there today to get a picture and possibly a kiddie ride. When I tried to ask about the price the staff member was incredibly rude. The horses were all filthy and caked with dirt and mud, their pen was nothing but deep mud. The hay in the feeder was wet and muddy as well. Such a shame, the horses seemed so friendly. I would like to see the animals cared for better. I will be back to see if their conditions improve or not.
The reviews about the people being mean and rude are absolutely true. I am leaving a review here and the bushkill stables page because they are the same place with the same mean and rude people. I want everyone to know the truth.
Most obnoxious people EVER. We went once before and I was so upset how they treated another lady a couple years ago, I swore I never go again. Was in the area today and thought Id give it another try. My son who is 13 saw it and said, isnt this the place with the mean people? I called at 9:03 (the open at 9) and was told no reservations. Told show up 15 minutes before the hour and off wed go. We showed up, was told by the again obnoxious man I needed a reservation, there was no room for 2 riders, and I was wrong about what Id heard. I had called THREE times to make sure during the day and ask about credit cards, and other things. The man was SO rude my son and parents walked away because they knew I was going to flip. DO NOT GO HERE> DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE. Let them go out of business and rot in hell.
Beautiful horses. They put you on and you go riding along a trail. It my first time and a bit scary but after a bit got hang of controlling the horse.
Horse back riding for kids and adults. Kids will enjoy for sure
The people are absolutely horrible, very ignorant and mean. I hope they go out of business and the beautiful horses find a better home, like mountain creek riding stables.
They close when they feel like closing.
I LOVE fernwood stables & n all the people that work there
Great!!! Had a blast! Well worth it! The horses are amazing!
The two women were very encouraging since I was nervous because it was my first time.
I had a nice ride
Ignorant!!!!
