I recently hosted a private birthday party at the Chelos East Providence location. The staff and everyone there were so helpful and did an amazing job. Our servers were very friendly and went above and beyond. The food was great as well. The event was so easy to plan. I managed everything through the phone and email. The room looked great and provided a nice private location. I would recommend Chelos to anyone looking to plan a private event.

I would like to order ribeye steak from the hearty dinner,they said no more,then I changed to the prime rib! The meat was hard to chew(mid well) the side order which was curly fries and vegetable of today so freaking nasty cold! First and last time this location

Excellent turkey and dressing on Sunday and Thursday nights. Have to start off with clam cakes and red chowder.

The location is great, right off the highway. Parking great, welcoming staff, cozy dining area. Waitress was wonderful. Ordered prime rib, chicken breast, chicken tenders and a kids spaghetti. Food was delicious, price was great. We will definitely be back!

Clean and casual. Great set up for curbside pickup too. Seemed easy and well organized. Wanted a pitcher of sangria for the table but was told they didnt do that, (they should reconsider that for the summer) overall good food.

The meal was so delicious. The clam fritters had so much clams in them. I had the beef soup and it was so delicious and our waiter Rob was probably the best waiter I ever had

Waitress was very good and happy. Good to see someone enjoying their job. Had the meatloaf. It was okay. The nachos were good. The plate was cleaned off. The steak tips were chewy. The sundae was a dissappointment. Half scoop of vanilla then covered by a bowl of cream.

I don’t ever write reviews but I had to make an exception for our amazing experience here. We were a big group of 9 and trouble finding adequate accommodations for us. Going previously to two restaurants with no luck . But this staff was very nice and so gracious giving us the perfect seating. Not only was the food delicious our waiter Abigail is by far the most memorable addition to our service. She was very quick and very respectful . Getting all of our food and drink orders right the first time. Without making us feel unwanted or uncomfortable. Abigail was the highlight of the night . She was very good at her job .THANK YOU VERY MUCH ABIGAIL!!!

Excellent Afternoon experience at Chelos East Providence! Great food, delicious and quickly prepared by the kitchen and delivered by the very personable, friendly, and warm Gabriella!She was checking with us during the meal: Not to persistant, but JUST RIGHT. she joked with us and was really one of the best servers that Ive ever encountered.Kudos to Chelos East Providence and thanks again to Gabriella for a pleasant lunch on such a dreary day!

Not exactly a friendly atmosphere. And by not exactly friendly I mean I could hear the servers being screamed at by other staff. Which is not how people in the service industry should be treated AT ALL by customers let alone their bosses. I also left early because I saw managers walking around without masks and this was when masks were mandatory due to covid-19. Long story short, go to the Chelos on Newport Avenue instead

Had a lobster roll and it was delicious 😋The waitress was very good about taking our order, and checking on us several times to ask if we needed anything.

Been a customer for years but this was the first time at this location. Waitress was awesome and the new Waitress was also good.

Went there for half price apps on a Sunday, didn’t get the half off price because we were asked if we wanted the sauce on the side or on the item. Because we chose “on”the item, apparently that was the reason why were charged full price. Wish I was told that. I would have stayed an asked for a manager but it took over 20 minutes to even get and pay the check. Called the next day, and was told “that’s how the register works”.Which was a complete lie. They charged me twice for the half app, to make it full price. Not stated on the menu anywhere or the half price app menu. Waitress was nice, not her fault. But was not happy at this location. Never happened at any other location. Won’t be back.

Employee who came out to the car was very nice. Food was excellent. Never expect anything less from chelos! IG goes calamari is no comparison to Chelos!

Wont eat there again the meatloaf looked like cat food and it didnt taste good at all.

The food was good, but the serving sizes were really big. I asked for a Roast Beef Stack, knowing that it was 1/3lb, I asked for a 1/4lb (I don’t like oversized foods), and when it came out, the server said, “this is a 1/2lb sandwich.” I was only able to eat half of it before I quit. My parents got dessert, my mom getting apple pie and my dad getting blueberry pie, so I decided to get the apple pie. When it came out, it looked like they baked a whole pie and gave me a quarter of it. The blueberry pie my dad asked for looked like the perfect size. The crust was also a bit hard on my pie. Overall, I’m satisfied with my meal, but the food is too “American-sized” for me.

Very clean, waitress nice. I ordered Calamari didnt like it. They deep fried them. My granddaughter had bake ziti and not enough sauce.

For a chain, the food is always pretty darn good... Usually have some good specials as well.

The place was always dead most of the time I went there. and that was pre covid. Im sure they have ther rushes and plenty of loyal customers Try to have Alyson serve you if you do go. Shes a delight. Good for a beer and a quick meal. They have a rewards program if you do end up liking it and is way better overall experience than say applebees. They just remodeled so everything is clean and new. Its not Michelan star but its not burger king either.

Been around forever. You know what to expect when you eat there. Good (not great) food, comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. Fish and Chips on Friday are among the best in the state.

Hello my name is Michael I visited Chelos on 7/24/20. The food was so delicious the food staff was so great and nice. I must say Ive never visited a place where everyone was so nice. The manager came over and checked on us and when we finished eating everyone who was working said have a good day. The staff helped me forget about Covid -19 and made me and my family feel so special. Blessings blessings to Chelos and their beautiful staff

Its always consistently good. I wouldnt necessarily call it the greatest place around to eat (as in, its not Fine Dining), but its definitely consistently good, which speaks volumes because Ive been to places that are rated excellent but still have really had bad days; Ive yet to have a bad day at Chelos. To be fair, Ive only been there maybe eight times, and only the East Providence location, but I would say thats a fairly good ratio to base a review like this on.

All waitress came right to the table took our order we knew what we wanted everything was clean and she was a very nice. And as always and my girlfriend and I drove from West Warwick to check out the East Providence Chelos and we were not disappointed service was good and the food was excellent we both had cheeseburgers and fries and drinks and it was good are we good. We usually go to Chelos in Warwick cuz I live in West Warwick and shes with me so we usually a go to the one at the airport the Waterfront we havent tried that yet but we will eventually not too far from there and Im sure its good.

What a fabulous experience at Chelos last night. We had Destiny as our waitress, she was fabulous! She was quite busy, but very attentive while still having a wonderful sense of humor and providing very high class service. The food, you cant beat it! Very delicious and great portions. The remodel of the building was just beautiful. We had a dinner and dessert combo for around 14 dollars. Drinks were on point as well. John, the manager stopped over our table introduced himself and what a great caring manager he is! We will for sure return. Destiny thanked us so much for our large tip but as far as were concerned, she deserved every penny!

I ordered two steak and cheeses over the phone and was unaware that it came with peppers and onions (which we do not like). When we saw, we called back and the manager gave us two fresh sandwiches for free of charge !!! The girl who took the order also apologized and took the blame, even though it was definitely not her fault !! So kind of them. I appreciate great customer service, but the food is also veryyyyy delicious ! Highly recommend.

Seated quickly, waitress came over right away and brought waters, after a few minutes came back and took orders. Food came out timely, cooked well and well presented. I liked the menu with almost everyday having some sort of special or discount. Also 2-5pm AND 8-closing happy hours (late is great for after show snacks and drinks). Friendly competent staff. Ill be back!

I have been going here for I think over thirty years and I cant think of a bad experience it is always good.

Used to live in Prov and enjoyed going to Chelos; this is a great small chain. Great to know this restaurant is still as good as we remember. It has a diner-type menu with some great seasonal food and drink specials. The desserts, as usual, are also excellent. The atmosphere is laid-back and the service was excellent!

We have ordered from Chelos Warren ave since take out only started. Let me tell you this place is very organized and accurate. Weve ordered take out from other places.. They are no where organized as Chelos Warren ave. ! Great job to the entire team!

This is one of my family’s go-to spots for an affordable, casual meal. I love the buffalo tenders and curly fries so much! They also have great dessert such as the outrageous brownie sundae, strawberry shortcake, and banana cream pie. The service is quite good as well.

We order from Chelo’s every Friday night and have never had an issue until this Friday night. My wife went to pick up our food curbside, then she came home and we sat down to eat our dinner. She had a philly cheese steak wrap and I had the Chix Parmesan sandwich. As I took a few bites of my sandwich everything was fine, when I went to take the next bite there was hair actually fried into the chix. I threw it away along with everything else we bought. I’m very disappointed and will never eat there again. Also told family and friends and they won’t be going either. I think Chelo’s needs to have better hygiene and sterilization policies at there restaurants.

Majay provided outstanding customer service with a ready smile. While waiting for my takeout she asked if I wanted a glass of water. She was very personable. And the food is always very good
