They were quick to respond to my needs and we’re polite, prompt & patient explaining everything in detail. They checked my car out before a long trip and I had to unexpectedly replace the rear shocks and other things, but they gave me a great discount so it was more affordable to do, and they’re pretty funny and friendly :) that always helps when doing car stuff! I would highly recommend Mavis Tires & Brakes. I had a flat tire just before their closing time. With no one around to help, I called and asked if they could look at the tire. Jay explained that the tire was blown out and I would need a new one. I was completely shocked when Jay offered to give me a tire for free for the night so I could get home, as long as I came in the next day. I bought 4 new tires the following day and they were all put on and aligned in less then 30 min. Not only are the tires great, but the service experience was amazing. It’s hard to find kind and understanding people who aren’t in the business for the money. The staff at Mavis Tires & Brakes are genuine and trustworthy. Thank you Jay for everything you did for me and the guys who made it happen with him. Make sure to contact these guys if you ever need anything automobile related.

I have been taking my car here for over a year and am VERY pleased with the customer service both in the garage and in the front office. I like working with actual people instead of dealerships - the employees I have interacted with at Mavis are always friendly and straightforward, and I never feel like theyre taking advantage of me or my wallet. I came in today with an annoying and costly repair (replacing my exhaust due to an oops) and they made me feel completely at ease, and got right to work on finding me the parts to get my car back on the road. They have THE BEST prices for tires, even my little special order sporty ones! I appreciate that even though I come in for something simple sometimes, the mechanics always take the time to do a full inspection and will point out anything wrong and let me know if its a priority. Great shop, I was able to get my car fixed in a really short time, at a very reasonable cost. The manager Jay was wonderful. He told me that if money is an issue that he would work with me.which things are a little bit tight . Wow! This new Mavis in East Providence Rhode island was completely amazing. Jay and his crew saved the day and restored our faith in the chain. BACK STORY We were stranded on 195. Our rear tire was shredded despite the fact that Mavis in New Jersey had supposedly overhauled the car and replaced tires less than a month ago. They took us immediately they gave us a free wheel alignment and a fantastic price on our tires. They were incredibly respectful and professional and kind. They even accommodated our dog by allowing her in the waiting area because of the cold. Our car drove like new when we left.

Everyone at Mavis was extremely professional and helpful. They took my car when I unexpectedly got a flat tire and it was done within a couple of hours. All of the employees were very professional and it was very nice touch that they called to let me know what needed to be done before doing it. The fact that I did not have an appointment was not a problem and I am grateful that they were able to help me out. I highly recommend their services and you can’t beat their prices

Pleasantly surprised at the exceptional service from a chain place. I unexpectedly got a flat and brought it in to mount my spare ($20 here when the independent guy down the road once charged me way more) Then cone to find out both my back tires had considerably large nails in them (he showed me the tire) and Jay put a cheaper basic tire they had in my size on right then and there for no charge, would def recommend

I went in to buy four new all season tires, get an alignment and get a sensor fixed. The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable and even got me a great deal on my tires! When I mentioned that I had a dented rim in my trunk they offered to bang it out for me so that now I have a full size spare and they didn’t charge me any extra for it! Talk about great service! I had an issue with my car that I needed fixed fast and these guys got it done. Jay helped me out a ton, getting me a fair deal and getting me home right before a snow storm hit. This is my go to spot going forward without a doubt.

This type of customer service really seems rare lately! I felt relieved from the moment I called and spoke with Jay. And I wasnt alone in that, as I spoke to other customers during my brief wait for tire repair who expressed the same. And on a Sunday, when almost all shops are closed, they are not only open but treating customers with compassion. Never thought I would be writing about a repair shop and compassion in the same sentence, lol! I will be recommending Mavis to everyone I know!

I brought my 2012 Chevrolet Impala in to have my tires rotated, and alignment checked. Thank god for Heather and Jay, they relieved my stress when I learned my tires of five months were defective and had to purchase new ones. They guided me to Mavis all season tires which are the best tires Ive had in a long time.

Our experience was nothing short of Five Star Customer Service! Awhile back the Regional Manager was in and really helped us identify the problem(s) with our truck. Jefferson Nunes was great at communicating the best solutions for our vehicle. Financially we had to wait however he was extremely understanding and said he would honor the quote he gave us. Mr. Nunes was very polite and patient. He took time to really explain in detail our options.Today we were extremely impressed with the manager/mechanic team at Mavis Tire located at 520 Taunton Avenue East Providence Rhode Island. The manager Sean Allen was great at keeping us updated. He was very friendly. During the process of our truck being repaired he was patient with us adding an oil change to our order. Even though the shop was extremely busy he made sure to finish our vehicle today. We also must add a thank you to Jose Garcia for repairing our truck and making sure the repairs were finished in a timely manner.We have had great experiences with Mavis Tire in the past. This was my second service appointment with Mavis and I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s not the closest place to get tires or an oil change to me and I don’t mind a bit - I drive here and give them my business because the quality and customer service is ten times better than anything I’d get in Providence. It’s rare to find an auto shop who actually cares about their customers and their vehicles, and isn’t trying to empty their wallet with repairs and overpriced tires (I absolutely hate getting the run around or overcharged by bigger name shops and dealerships). My car and I are VERY happy thanks to Brad and the rest of the team, and I’ll continue to make all of my appointments here in the future. You should too!

Mavis bought out NTB but functions the same way as NTB did. I called NTB and got the national answering service, they collected my info and informed me to go to the East Providence location.I was confused when I showed up, but then was told about the buy out. Ive been in there before so knew roughly what to expect for tire replacement.The person working, Heather, was very friendly and helpful, she looked at my car with me, explained what she saw with my tire and what they could do to fix it. I was very happy that I was able to get tires put on then and there (lm not picky about them matching). I got Mavis Traction Control - 75K Mileage for $124 each, it was $330 total for everything, which seemed reasonable.I also got a quote for new rotars and bar (forget the actual name of it) for about $800. My husband is probably going to just buy the parts and do the work himself for under $200. Even though the quote was high, its fair to say that Heather provided the most information and assist she could, with assessing the safety of my car and what they identified needed to be done, which I very much appreciate.I also witnessed her being extremely kind and helpful to a young girl who came in for a quote and seemed very overwhelmed. Heather even got the girls dads phone number to make sure they could speak about anything regarding the quote for work.She was juggling the whole place by herself and doing an excellent job with everyone there and all the calls coming in.I was there a little bit longer than I was expecting, but she mentioned they happened to be short staffed that day, and the fact that I could drive in and get my dangerous tires replaced on the spot was enough to make me happy.I used to go to and recommend NTD and now I highly recommend Mavis, especially the one in East Providence. Heather and the crew there are awesome and did a great job with my car.Thanks guys!

Id just like to give a huge shout out to Eric who helped me today. After a week of unfortunate events and an exhausting 9 hr shift at work getting off almost an hour late, I was less then a mile away from home when a bolt 🔩 ended up piercing my tire thankfully holding the air in my tire. I searched on the Google maps tire shops open this was the closest place open. I called, Eric answered on the first ring ensured me that it would be easily fixed and suggest I come there. Within 15 min the tire was fixed and I was on the road. I know it isnt the biggest fix. But it really made my day thanks to Eric and his crew and ntb.

When they showed me how bad all the tires were, I was told about the payment plan they had available so I was able to replace all my tires at once. Got tire changed two days ago, which went quick. I soon realized that the armrest in my car was stained with grease. Two days later the brand new wheel cover I recently put on had fallen off of the tire they worked on.Not going back here.

NTB was excellent. I had an appointment for tomorrow but called this morning and spoke with Danny who was able to fit me in this morning instead. They mounted and balanced 4 new tires and did a vehicle alignment. Everything was done perfectly and quickly. Danny contacted me after an inspection with my alignment options. He was very friendly and the store is very clean and tidy. I wouldnt hesitate to go back again.

THIS IS A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE. I WENT IN FOR MAINTENANCE ON JUNE 14th AND CAME OUT WITH A CRACKED WINDSHIELD. AND NOBODY SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT. AFTER GETTING HOME AND THEN COMING BACK OUT TO THE CAR A FEW MINS LATER. I NOTICED THE CRACK. WHICH WAS SMALLER THEN THIS. BUT WITH TIME ITS GOTTEN SO MUCH BIGGER. I CALLED AND THE GUY ANGEL OR DANNY I BELIEVE THEIR NAME IS PICKED UP AND WASNT EVEN SHOCKED AT THE SITUATION, JUST SAID “OH YEAH ABOUT THAT” COME BY SO WE CAN TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS AND ORDER IT. I CAME BY RIGHT AWAY. THEY LIED AND SAID THEY WOULD ORDER IT AND CALL ME ONCE THEY KNEW WHEN IT WAS COMING. THIS HAPPENED ON A FRIDAY. MONDAY CAME AND LEFT AND NOONE CALLED. SO I CALLED. THEY TOLD ME IT WILL BE THERE THURSDAY 6/20. THURSDAY AND FRIDAY CAME AND WENT AND NOBODY CALLED ABOUT BRINGING IT IN TO GET FIXED. SO I HAD TO CALL AND KEEP CALLING. SO HERE ITS ALREADY JULY AND THIS IS STILL THE SAME SITUATION. THEY NEVER RETURN MY CALLS. THEY SAY THEY WILL CALL WHEN THEY FIGURE OUT WHATS GOING ON. AND THEN THEY DONT. I AM A LYFT DRIVER. AND THIS SHOULD OF NEVER HAPPENED. BUT SINCE THINGS HAPPEN WHETHER WE WANT THEM TO OR NOT. THEY HAVE JUST BEEN VERY IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION. IF I CAME IN AND GOT WORK DONE. THEY WOULD WANT THE MONEY RIGHT THERE AND THEN RIGHT? BUT FOR ME TO GET THEIR DAMAGES THAT THEY CAUSED TAKEN CARE OF, I HAVE HAD TO CHASE THEM AND CONSTANTLY CALL TO KNOW WHAT THE SITUATION IS.

I have many vehicles in my fleet and time is of essence, Angel and his team always get me in and out in a timely manner with fair pricing.I would recommend trying them if in need. They have handled oil changes, tires, alignments and brakes for me without a hitch.

A great relationship ruined by greed. Started using EP NTB (Mavis) in May 2020. Over the past months, I spent a few thousand on maintenance for two cars. They did right by me when one set of tires wasnt road force balancing to my cars spec and gave me a full refund for a set of tires. I thought I had found a mechanic I could trust. Then it happened...In late September, I took my car in for an oil change and new rear brake pads/rotors. Asst. Service Manager Eric calls to quote me on new FRONT and rear brake pads, rotors, and a brake line flush. TIME OUT! You guys just replaced the front pads and rotors 4 months ago in May, I said. Eric starts backpedaling, puts service manager Silver on the phone. Silver swears up and down that I need new front brake pads and rotors. Okay, Ill play your game. I ask Silver for the tolerance measurements. He puts down the phone for a minute and comes back, apologizing. The front brake pads are at 8mm. Silver says he got my car confused with another car of the same make and then still tries to upsell me on the brake fluid flush.Im not even mad, just sad. I must search for a new garage now. If my father and grandfather werent mechanics, I might not have known to ask these questions. Their scheme was so lazy. All they had to do was look in the computer to see they had already charged me for new front pads and rotors in May. Once that trust is broken, you have to move on.Edit: Things GOT WORSE after my original post. Silver refused to accept my store credit when I went to pay. I had already used some of the credit last month. Today, Silver claimed he couldnt apply it to a different car. I pointed out the credit was for this car and I had used on a different car last month. Slippery Silvers story changed again. He said he didnt know how to input the credit and needed to talk with his manager. I told him to call the manager. He refused, saying I would have to wait until Monday. I have a suspicion Silver is making things difficult for me because I caught him trying to replace 4-month-old brakes and rotors.

Had an appointment and walked in to almost no workers with the virus going on. I was looking to patch or replace a tire that had a slow leak because of a nail puncture. The employee was super nice to me but told me that they only replace tires exactly whats on the car, which I never heard of. They didnt have the tire in stock so I had to go elsewhere. Just wish he would have told me he didnt have time to help me today instead of telling me they cant put another type of tire on my car. I had to go to Pep Boys ....

On August 15th I called NTB Tire and they scheduled an appointment for me at 4:00 pm for August 17th. I arrived at 3:50 pm and the gentleman behind the counter informed me that the tire did not come in. One might think that they would notify their customers when this is the case. I live 35 minutes from this store so needless to say i was not happy as they had all day to notify me. I guess that customer service is not their strong point. Goodbye NTB Tire.

Not too happy with this place. One time they left my car battery on while doing work on the car and not surprisingly the battery died. They told me I needed a new one after testing it but quoted me some crazy amount. I told them no thanks I can do it for a third of the price with the same battery myself, and then it took them 45 min before they could finally round up the equipment to jump my battery. I gave them another chance and set up an appointment. When I showed up they didn’t have my appointment on file and told me to wait 90 minutes to do a 10 min job. No thanks. I’m going elsewhere from now on.

I have brought over 7 costumers there and no issues. sometimes the material price can be crazy but the rate and the work done is great. I love to hange the oil of my car here. Is very affordable, and they will check your brakes and your car in general. If there is something that needs to be fixed, they will tell you. In addition the customer service is great.

I called ahead of time and asked them if I could bring my car in. They said yes and that I could come in any time. I drove over and no one was in the front of the shop. Waited 15 minutes, still no one. Walked around to the garage and asked a guy if he could help me get the attention of the front desk so I could get service. He said someone should be out front, and turned away... I went back to the front and waited another 15 minutes. Even called the phone number to get their attention. I could hear the phone ringing from where I was waiting. At that point I left. 30 minutes is long enough. I have no intentions of returning. ✌🏽️

Absolutely horrifying customer service. I called with a general question and received a very rude and clipped response. I politely asked for more information amd was met with more exasperated rudeness then ignored. I requested a manager, Grey came on the line, spoke over my voice multiple times and also made it clear that I was interrupting them, and that my phone call was an convenience. Finally 8 was told that the coupon (I had called to inquire about) for an oil change and tire rotation for $19.88 would, in the end, come out to $80+. I dodged a bullet by not utilizing their services Im sure.

This location was very helpful. I had brought my car for thousands of dollars of work at Grieco Toyota up the road. 2 days later my car felt like it was falling apart. As I was driving on Taunton Ave, I noticed my tire was ready to fall off. I pulled into NTB, and realized all of my lug nuts on one tire were completely loose and ready to fall off. A nice gentlemen named Angel helped me and tightened all the lugs and made sure my car was safe before I left. He did not charge me, he did me a huge favor. I highly recommend this location for any work, they are great people.

I never do reviews but after the hassle they went through to get my flat tire fixed, I think they deserve one from me. I had a flat, and for multiple reasons was unable to get it to the shop. They weren’t too busy at the time and so were able to send someone out to my house to put a spare on for me and get it to the shop. Keep in mind, they don’t have a mobile service, they were just friendly enough to do so. I have an older car so they had trouble getting the spare off the bottom of my car (it was corroded) and also had to jumpstart my car after it died unexpectedly. After this, they only charged me for the tire and labor it would’ve required had I taken it to the shop myself. Wouldn’t even accept a tip. They were very friendly and gave advice to me where I needed it. I’ll be going there now for my tire needs.

Needed tires for wifes car, shopped everywhere, Town Fair, Firestone, Pepboys, Bennys...everywhere and it was either no we cant or horrible customer service. This was the last place and should have been first place outstanding customer service from John, he said no matter what time they would get it done tonight, we were leaving for a cross country trip and the team stayed late to make sure our car was ready for the trip...thank you guys you gained life long customers
