Work on hybrids like my 2010 Prius, which they went through and did for about 1/2 what a dealer was going to charge. Great communicators. Honest. Conscientious. My 11 year old Prius has new life even though it is closing in on 200,000 miles!

I took my car in because of a transmission problem. I literally had to go in and work on my own car because they didnt want to be responsible for the transmission .... Then when I pick my car up my engine is making a horrible ticking noise, that was not there when I dropped it off. Save your money!!! This place is garbage!!!

Exceptional service every time! They have gone above and beyond to help fix even the smallest of issues with both of our vehicles. They are friendly, quick and flexible with scheduling. They deliver amazing value and never try to upsell unnecessary repairs. In fact, they saved us from pursuing a completely unnecessary brake replacement that we had been pressured to do elsewhere. They are truly the best! So much so, that I even brought a vehicle up from Pennsylvania just to have them do the work.

Excellent staff and service. Fast and easy to get in with. Clean waiting room. I’ve now taken two of my cars there for inspection and repairs. They’ve had very fair, affordable prices and, best of all, really take the time to explain things so that you understand what’s going on. I never feel like I’m being cheated. They even tell you when something is not a good idea to fix, which I find to be a strong sign of an honest business. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Theyre good. I cant give them 5 stars though. I gave them 3 because I just got back from them re-fixing my car. I picked it up yesterday after a $1500 job. Got new struts, links, and tires and they fixed another minor problem. Drove it home and the whole car was shaking. Took it back and the guy said he couldnt feel anything and I was insistent. I mean...I know what my car feels like. It wasnt shaking before I had it fixed. They re-did the alignment and the tire balancing for me and its much smoother now. Sucks I had to come back and take time out my day, but glad they fixed it. Ive been going there over 5 yrs and this is the first time I had to come back for something not done to my satisfaction.

3 for 3 on quick service and what i consider fair pricing.Company truck broke down last night on the haigway.Got it towed in .Fixed and back for our company to use by 3 oclock the same day.I had tried another shop close to my home.They had it 3 days and never found the electric problem.Thanks from us here at Harleys Construction & Restoration nice when you get treated quickly and most important the vehicle is fixed right.

Im a recent transplant to RI and was anxious about finding a trustworthy autoshop. These folks went above and beyond! Went in for a standard inspection and they put my new license plate on, refilled my windshield wiper fluid for free, and were all around wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend.

When I moved to the area years ago I went to Barbosa and Son with a tricky ignition problem. Eddie figured out the problem, gave me a fair estimate and fixed the problem promptly. He was so honest and clear in his assessment of the problem that I went back and became a regular customer. Over the years, at times he has advised me to take my car to a dealership when he realized the problem should be covered under warranty. This has saved me many hundreds of dollars on two occasions. A couple times when I have picked up my car I found that he had charged me less than his original estimate when the time for the repair was shorter than originally thought. He is a very good mechanic and a very honest, nice person. I moved away from the area but I still drive the extra miles to bring my cars to Eddie.

I absolutely love this place! I went here to get some work done on my car a few months ago and Ed and his friendly staff took great care of me. Steve diagnosed my issues and broke everything down to let me know what exactly was needed for my car. He was extremely thorough and professional. He did the job right and didnt burn me at all like some of the other shops Ive been too. There waiting area is completely cozy and spotless! I almost fell asleep on there comfortable sofa too. They have free wifi, coffee, TV and of course, water. The receptionist was great as well. I think Pam was her name but I can be wrong. We had good talks while my wife and I waited. In just under 4 hours, my rear brakes was fixed and didnt cost me as much as I thought it would. Extremely reasonable and reliable. I highly recommend this place for all of your cars needs. I will be definitely returning back for future mechanical work. Thank you Pam, Ed, and Steve! You guys rock!UPDATE 04/17/2021:Ok so I had to get more work done to my car unfortunately. Given that my car is 20 years old, is to be expected. However, Ed and his team at Barbosa and Son’s Auto Repair are always there to keep my 20 year old car running. I do most of the “easy” work myself, but when it comes to replacing engine parts, ect… I leave it to the pros. Been coming here multiple times already and each and every time I’ve been treated like family. These guys are awesome! The quality of work they do is top notch! At my recent visit, I’ve noticed that they are following Covid19 safety guidelines. It’s ashamed I couldn’t sit on their comfy couch this time around but sadly we are all living in a pandemic and these guys continue to be at the front lines in auto repair. Ed and his team are the ones you can depend on to get you back on the road quickly and are number one in Auto Repair in all of New England in my book.
